Paying attention to every detail of your patient and ensuring THEIR comfort and SAFETY and not your entertainment. It is a husband and wife team, the wife used a hard sales technique on me stating what was wrong with my body and making it seem dire then stating "Are you willing to do the work to get better?" Something to that effect. I study sales, she already knew my insurance was paying and I wanted to get better, it was so slimy and creepy. They charged me $20 for a piece of foam and made me wait while they checked if they could give it to me without collecting payment first (knowing I was on a retainer) When I pointed out errors were made in my traction, the doctor used a photo of him doing it correctly NOT THE DATE I SAID HE DID IT INCORRECTLY to prove me "wrong." The P/T Marilee is nice and detail oriented but is not trained in any way outside of her routine and when I told them I had a new injury they were completely floored I asked them to reconsider their wrote routine and later called that "verbal aggression." Anyone who stands up for their right to autonomy, their body and asks the staff prioritize the patients over their entertainment and antidote to boredom is "aggressive."

I contacted Palmercare about chiropractic care. I asked them specifically if they took Medicare…read moreinsurance. I was told they did. They did NOT say there were any special restrictions, exceptions or preconditions that applied. Based on that information I made an appointment for treatment. At the first visit the Dr. conducted and exam. The office manager went over a plan that would cost $4500. I again told the manager that I would have to be covered by Medicare on this treatment and that I could not pay $4500. I was again told that Medicare would cover the costs with a small co-pay. I found out that the co-pay IS $10 which I agree to. I made a good faith payment of $75 to cover the upcoming co-pays. I also told both the Dr. and office manager that my insurance only allowed 12 visits a year. They indicated that they could take care of this. The next visit to Palmercare the office manager told me that NOW they needed a referral from my primary care physician. They said that is all they needed and that there were no other issues. I got the referral to them in 2 days. Again I reiterated to Palmercare that I would HAVE to have coverage by Medicare. I was again told no problem. I checked my Medicare account every few days to see if Palmercare was filing claims for the visits. I have, to date, seen NO claims filed by Palmercare. Each visit to Palmercare I told the Dr. and the office manager that there were no claims filed and that was unusual. Each time I was told that this fact did not matter and that the billing group was just behind. Last visit to Palmercare I told them that I still had not seen any claims filed. I also reiterated that my insurance only allowed 12 visits per year. The Dr. then spoke the Palmercare billing office and told me that he and the billing people would advise Medicare of the number of visits allowed. I was told it would all be taken care of. On today's visit I was NOW told I owed over $200 additional. I was told that NOW, Medicare does not cover the first visit. I reminded the office manager that I told them I would HAVE to have coverage by Medicare for everything. They made a commitment to me that it would. This is the classic technique of "bait and switch" which is illegal. It is also the deception technique of "good guy, bad guy"; which is used by used car dealers (and others) for years. I therefore caution you NOT use with Palmercare.
