The Davis-Berkeley shuttle is super convenient for students who want to go back home to the Bay Area. It costs $9.75 one way and gets you from the UC Berkeley campus to the UC Davis campus is about 1 hour and 15 minutes (that's how it's been in my experience). For me, I also have to add on BART fair, so it can cost at least $25 roundtrip using the shuttle+BART. I could get picked up, but it's easier on my family to have me commute, plus it's cheaper than taking Amtrak to Richmond then BART.
At Davis you'll dropped off behind Shields Library so it's a short walk from the Silo and MU bus stations. At Berkeley, just walk up a few blocks on Shattuck and turn right on Addison or University Ave and that's where the pick up/drop off area is (Crescent Springer Gateway).
In short, I really like this service. It's only available on the weekdays and spaces go fast during the holidays and Fridays/Mondays, so plan ahead. read more
