Very welcoming and patient staff. I have never enjoyed my trips to the dentist until I started coming here!

I just brought my daughter here for her biannual exam and cleaning for the first time with Eli Davidyan and he is a great dentist.

I've been meaning to leave a review for years, as LeClair is the best dentist I have ever found (of…read moreabout a half dozen). Very thorough cleanings by competent hygienists, and I very much appreciate Dr. Adriene's approach and manner - she is straightforward, but willing to 'keep an eye' on a situation. In the past dentists generally criticized my teeth and recommended fillings "to avoid" situations. In the 7 years I have been coming to LeClair they have not upsold me once, and haven't pursued a single filling (wow!). My teeth are doing well. I moved away from beverly over 5 years ago, but still make the trek back every 6 months for a cleaning.

At my first dental cleaning, Adrienne LeClair made me feel horrible about my teeth. That should…read morehave made me run and never return. But I did. I proceeded to have some fillings redone. One of the fillings did not feel right and felt infected. I went back not once, not twice, but three times. On the third visit, they redid the filling. I had zero relief. They referred me to an endodontist. It turned out I had a raging infection, and I needed an emergency root canal. Then, I needed the crown placed. Adrienne used all of her force to place the crown on my tooth. In my head, I thought this can't be normal. Due to the level of force, a large chunk of cement was stuck between my teeth. Adrienne "flossed" it out and told me to keep flossing until it came out. After the horrible experience, I found a new dentist (who, by the way, complimented my teeth on the first visit!). In the meantime, LeClair was difficult when it came to sending my records. The crown tooth was still bothering me. It took over A YEAR of visits for the dental hygienist at the new practice to work out the cement. If she hadn't gotten it out, I would have needed a new root canal. They have to redo one of Adrienne's fillings, and the current dentist said, "You don't need a dental degree to see that this was not filled properly." Looking at some of the other reviews, I am not alone in my sentiments. Go to Martins Dental in Beverly or Northern Star Dental in Danvers. Both are excellent practices.

I could tell Dr. Paul was being gentle and thorough. Best dentist I've had hands down. Very knowledgeable and very kind. I'm actually looking forward to my next appointment. The worst dentist office I ever been to. They had me go to have tooth removed and when I went to…read morehave the tooth extracted they mentioned why it was being removed in the first place and not being treated and saved. This office seems to be all about money minus the actual kind of care and the treatment to help people get their dental care needs met they don't offer much else but waste your time and your insurance companies money for care that they don't even provide aside from the initial cleaning service they do cleaning services and they also provide the care that is not covered and expensive and unnecessary for patients, but aren't willing to actually give them real time and attention to fix the problems they are experiencing and don't care about saving teeth they care about charging the insurance companies even when they don't do any care They will clean your teeth however that's the extent of the care you will likely receive if you need any other kind of work done they don't care to help they will however book your cleaning within weeks and they don't have the time to book a filling thats 4 to 6 months out smh and they do offer the option of an extractions, unfortunately they aren't willing to provide that in their office they will likely send you elsewhere to have extractions provided , however thankfully for me the Dr whom was to do my extraction looked at my X-ray and was honest with me and asked why I was having my tooth removed and not getting any kind of saving treatment done on it and thankfully I switched my dentist to a different office and I still have that tooth that they would have had me get it extracted and it was not at that point and level of having it be extracted, but thankfully their are still good dentist out there that don't just care about the money only and they actually care for the people they bill without hesitation and sometimes without any actual care provided and i was hesitant to make this post but **if it saves someone else's time and unnecessary stress and pain it's worth the effort because this offices only interested in money minus the actual quality care involved they are not a good option for most people who need more than a cleaning kind of care but if you have the kind of teeth that only need cleanings and just the yearly cleanings than This is alright, an maybe to do unnecessary procedures that are expensive and not even covered by insurance companies because they aren't even necessary in the first place but if you can pay out of pocket for them then you got yourself a good chance at getting those needs met here, but If you need real care and want more than a polishing treatment and yearly cleaning kind of experience then go elsewhere .

I used to scoff at those unfortunates who fear dentists. Then it happened to me- the awful…read moreexperience- and I vowed to never ever visit the dentist again unless under heavy sedation. Fast forwarded a year and a half later and I was in total dental agony. Bullied by my coworkers who were tired of listening to my moaning and groaning, I called up Gentle Dental of Beverly and they fit me in that afternoon. I was trembling when the hygienist called my name and led me to the chair and I blurted out, "I'm in agony, but I'm even more scared of the dentist!" and told my traumatizing story of having my teeth drilled by a dentist who was too impatient to let the novocaine take effect. The hygienist was very sweet and assured me that in her 5+ years of working with Dr. Malmquist she had never seen a patient have a miserable experience. I also learned from her that there are different techniques to applying novocaine and that a good dentist would take the time to ensure that I was properly numb. After x-rays, Dr. Malmquist came into the room and introduced himself. Dr. Malmquist was very calm and soothing, took the time to explain the work that needed to be done and listened to my fears and concerns. Also, before I made a decision about whether to proceed with the work, one of the office staff came back with a print out of cost estimates. I decided to proceed and reminded Dr. Malmquist once again that whatever the last dentist had done with the novocaine hadn't worked. As soon as Dr. Malmquist applied the novocaine to my mouth I felt instant relief from my week long tooth ache. He let the novocaine work for a few minutes before drilling. I tensed expectantly while he was drilling, waiting for the pain that never came. In five minutes, he was done, fixing the minor cavity that had caused me so much pain and I never felt a thing. Thanks to Dr. Malmquist and the staff at Beverly Gentle Dental, I can once again count myself amongst the lucky few who "don't fear the dentist." (And the best part- the staff at Beverly Gentle Dental called my ex-dentist and broke up with them for me and arranged for my records to be sent over!)

When you do, the office is required to refund you the overpayment after the insurance company goes through its billing and establishes a cost. This office has repeatedly refused to refund me the overpayment. My insurance has contacted them, informing them that they owe me almost $250 in refunds, but they still refuse to refund me. They are nothing but thieves and I would strongly suggest that you not have anything to do with them.
