We were all pleasantly surprised. It wasn't so bad although they didn't have cloth napkins, we didn't get a choice of tea, the cups didn't match and there were some cheaper cutlery used, and finally there wasn't really a lot of food and the food was good but not anything remarkable.. I didn't like that the egg salad sandwiches used wonder bread or something of that quality. It could have been made a little more special and I wish there were more savoury items. Nevertheless, when we went, we got a choice of three rooms and it wasn't really busy so it was very nice. Usually your time is for an hour and 15 minutes, but we got to stay as long as we wanted. The staff were all very nice and friendly, which I appreciated and the decor was old-fashioned and the music was from the past so the ambiance was quite lovely. My mother really had a good time there, being her first high tea experience, with the added bonus of being able to spend some time in lovely Fort Langley. I would say it's worth a try.
