Very "memorable" experience…read more I booked my appointment months in advance and confirmed when prompted. Somehow, the appointment was changed to another date after my confirmation -- with no call, no explanation, and no notice. Impressive system. I drove nearly two hours in snowy weather and arrived on time, only to be told my appointment no longer existed that day. When I calmly showed proof and tried to explain, the staff's response was eye-rolling, visible impatience, and zero effort to help resolve an error that was not mine. I was left feeling dismissed, unwelcome, and frankly uncomfortable. I can't say why I was treated that way, but it's hard not to wonder whether appearance or background played a role when basic courtesy and professionalism disappear so quickly. When I asked for their names to document the incident, they refused and told me to leave. If accountability, communication, and respectful treatment matter to you, I'd suggest confirming things multiple times -- and maybe still prepare for surprises.

They were able to get me in within two weeks for a routine cleaning and x-rays. The cleaning was good. I mentioned that I tend to gag with dental stuff, so they took extra care when placing the films for my x-rays and the tech kept checking on me and going super slow to ensure my comfort. I had a filling that had mostly fallen out. I was able to reschedule a follow up for two days later (they had them sooner, but it didn't work for my schedule). I asked if I would have to be numbed because I hate the dental shots. She said she was pretty confident she could pop out the old filling and replace it with no to minimal pain and she was right. My tooth hurt the tiniest bit, but I'm pretty sure it was just sensitivity when the cold water blasted it. I was in and out in about 20 minutes with my new filling and no numb, drooly mouth. They also accept children. My friend's entire family goes and say the dentists are really good with their kids as well. I don't doubt it. Each room is themed. My cleaning was in the Star Wars room and my filling was in the baseball room. There is plenty for kids (or kids at heart) to look at and be distracted by during dental procedures.

I have always hated going to the dentist, but since I have been connected with Dr. Arive, that has gone away. He is always gentle, thoughtful, and kind in every verbal exchange and while he is working on my teeth. He really should be the standard for all dentists - an expert in his field and just genuinely a nice provider. Would highly recommend!

I encountered a number of temporary office staff who were definitely lacking in skill and dedication. No one in the office ever introduced themselves or wore a name tag so It was difficult to determine who they were and what their role was in the office. For some reason even though I have dental insurance, very little of the work done was covered even though this had not been the case with my previous dentist. Patients were charged a whopping $20 PPE charge per visit on top of already very expensive dental charges. Dr Arive was probably a satisfactory dentist but the office was run so poorly I sought dental care elsewhere.

I sat in his chair for a procedure, and he told me he could't do the procedure because my teeth need to be cleaned first, and he doesn't have time to do that. He or his staff could've mentioned this when we scheduled the appointment, but they did not. I was disappointed I'd have to make a second trip, but I was easy going about it. "Fair enough. Let's get me scheduled for a cleaning, and then we'll reschedule the procedure no problem." Then, he told me he needs to charge me for the visit when literally all he did was tell me I needed a cleaning. I politely raised the question to the staff as I was checking out. "I'm confused. Is it your policy to charge people when you did no procedure and did no cleaning? I was in the chair for approximately one minute." They explained that it was their policy. I paid the bill and left. A few days later I receive a letter from him in the mail. He asked me not to come back and he called me a liar. I was flabbergasted. I didn't agree with his practice of charging a fee for no work being done, but I was never rude to him or his staff. I will not be going back. You won't have to ask me twice. There are much better options nearby by professional, courteous dentists. Stay away from Walker!

the level of care here from a health standpoint: 5/5 , you will get proper dental care! No cons or…read moreswindles, no fixing problems that dont really exist for a quick buck, just good old fashioned dentist work. the level of modern going on in the office: 2/5 , Biggest drawback of this place is it's very old school. While everything is in general working order and you aren't going to run into faulty equipment... I do believe the TVs were made in the 80s. This isn't a place with state of the art flat screens and etc. Dental materials are all in working order but could be 10 years more modern (though they aren't "old", stuff is surely freshly purchased, just not the most expensive modern artsy tools and chairs out there on the market these days) Personality of staff: 4/5, no one is nasty or disrespectful, everyone is curteous and the dentist clearly cares a lot about his patient's health...not just making money of off them. He is QUITE a talker though! So if you want a friendly dentist to give you a few laughs he's your guy. His personality borders on socially awkward so if you can't handle awkwardness... good luck to you, buuuut he's going to keep talking whether you respond or not! If you were hoping for silence and the quickest dental trip possible, probably not for you. Billing Flexibility: 5/5. If you need a place that will treat you human even though you aren't made of money, these are the folks. As long as you are honest and stick to a payment plan of some sort they'll work with you. Kid Friendly: 2/5 This location makes no real effort to cater to children. There are a few toys and a kids' table, as well as another ancient TV with VHS. That said, if the child doesn't need entertaining, there's nothing wrong with this location. Just not bright and cheery like some pediatric places. Wait time/procedure time: 3/5 He's the kind of guy that will really focus in on whoever he's with. So while you won't ever feel rushed out so the next person can come in...you also might be at the office for at least an hour more than some other places Outdoor Location: 4/5 , Parking is easy to find , building near a well populated busy intersection.
