They always have a vast selection of items; from paper towels to plants to a new roof, you can find it here. The shop seems to always be well stocked and clean. There are well maintained restrooms available, and cutting stations can be found if needed. They offer a monthly kids crafts event, along with other, occasional, informative classes, and they always have great seasonal deals to take advantage of (both in-store and online). My visit today though, was of a different manner. I'm working to socialize my new pup, possibly as a service dog, and I was told Home Depot was a dog friendly store. Upon entering, I did stop at customer service to be sure it was allowed. The employee enthusiastically replied that all well behaved furry companions were welcomed at Home Depot, the only expectation is that the owners clean up messes. I was relieved and we happily went about our training. Honestly, it could not have been more of a positive experience for us. All of the employees we meet were very friendly, and we were acknowledged often seeing if we needed assistance. We did a few laps around the store, found a cute plant to commemorate my pups first in-shop (besides pet stores) adventure. It was a great shopping trip, I definitely can recommend the Utica location, and I'm sure I'll be visiting again soon.

I miss the original owner as unfortunately his heir has apparently let the ship sink when it comes to reliability, quality, INTEGRITY, and overall customer satisfaction!!! SMH For starters, I urge EVERYONE to avoid signing up for the 'EXTENDED WARRANTY'- what you're paying for is for young, fresh out of high school kids who don't know anything about being PUNCTUAL and who have no shame in not even showing up for your simple appointments as agreed upon- so if you enjoy WASTING TIME, being lied to, and just throwing money away, then by all means sign up for their 'extended warranty' and learn the hard way if you like it like that? ALSO, I don't know that alot of these sales people do (whether you goto the Clinton Township store or the Rochester one)- oftentimes, they just stand around and don't really help new customers as they're browsing the floor models inside the store- and if you do end up purchasing an appliance, in particular one that has more than a 7 day waiting/fulfillment time frame, you can count on ONE THING to be consistent about these 'sales men/women'- they WILL NEVER CALL you when the item is in stock/ready to be shipped. So again if TIME and scheduling (simply HONESTY) is important to you, then steer clear from Sargent Appliance- they have no shame in either LYING to you or in wasting your time!!! SMH

Now, they have ordered a bunch of parts to try to fix it by replacement. I gave the Maytag reference number to the Sargent's sales person hoping they could get help with their Maytag rep. The delivery/installation crew did not have the "tape" to wrap the dryer vent tube, nor did they have a water line for the refridgerator (a $16.00 item which should have been provided with the install). The microwave was too large (an undercounter versus over the range - yes, there is a difference), it took SEVEN follow up efforts to finally get my money back. The washer, when I ran it a bunch of brown waxy stuff came out - something was in the drum. I left two messages at the store, no one returned my call.

I purchased multiple appliances delivered at 09/24/2025 from this shop: a stove, clothes washer, gas dryer, and refrigerator. At first, the owner was very friendly and helpful. However, after I paid and the items were delivered, the service changed. I was told delivery and installation were included with the necessary equipment, but when the delivery arrived, I was charged extra for installation. Shortly after, the refrigerator/freezer stopped working. The owner came and said the motor was not working and replaced it, but the unit still had problems, including water leaking underneath. I sent pictures and he promised he would come back to fix it, but he did not follow through. I went to the shop again and he gave excuses about being sick and having pain, but the repair still was not done. Even though the appliance was supposedly under warranty, I ended up hiring my own technician and paying $150. Based on my experience, I do not recommend buying from this shop. The customer support and warranty service were not reliable.
