I had the worst experience at David's Bridal and I was a little shocked. We are looking for a dress for my mom for my brothers wedding. As the mother of the groom we wanted to go look for nice dresses and try on a few of them. We made an appointment with David's bridal and the women who met us at the door was very nice. But, the lady who was our consultant was very rude. She did not help us at all. My mom looked up a few dresses before we went and she rudely told my mom they do not have any of those dresses in the store. She was rushing us. She was not helpful at all. My poor mom left 20 min after we arrived because she did not like the service. I would never recommend this place again. read more

Title: Manager laughing at me when she thought I left the store: My daughter is getting married and she chose David's bridal for bridesmaid dresses. As mother of the bride I also went to David's bridal. I bought a dress off the rack. Also I saw another dress I liked online (only) in my size. I ordered it . I was told I could return if it didn't work out . I went to David's bridal on Baldhill Road on Saturday, August 27 ( I left that store approximately 5 PM) to return the dress. The female manager working at that time helped a store clerk ( older woman ) process the return. I asked if they needed my credit card? They said no , that the dress actually had to go back where it came from to process the actual return and refund . They gave me a slip of paper with the details of the return but no credit. I said to the female manager: "that's strange when I go to a woman's clothing store I sometimes buy off the rack but I sometimes buy online. If I order something online that doesn't work out, I return it at the store and immediately get a credit". She looked at me like I had 3 heads. I took the slip of paper they gave me ,with no $credit on it, turned around ( didn't leave the store) but stopped and turned back around because I had another question. I found that the female manager and clerk were laughing! Being seconds since I turned around it was obvious that they were laughing at me and I caught them . How unprofessional. Is this really something that you would expect, returning merchandise and getting no credit at that time? Return process is unusual. Buyer beware: Unprofessional and unusual policy!!! read more

Being newly engaged, I was eager to start dress shopping and get some style ideas. I went to a small boutique near my house that had some gorgeous gowns. But it seemed that nothing I tried on, fit my style or body very well. So as we left, I asked my mom if I should try Davids Bridal... and she said "it couldn't hurt." Days later I made an appointment online (super easy) and got the last appointment of the evening, 730-9pm. Walking in there, blew me away. I thought I died and went to bride heaven. There were tons of wedding gowns, bridesmaids dresses, and even undergarments & engagement gifts!! As the stylist was finishing up with her previous bride, I began to look at the showroom dresses. It didn't take long until I had an abundance of favorites. (I didn't have high hopes, since my first dress trying experience was just "eh"). But the LOVELY sales associate Erin, pulled all my favorite dresses and we headed to the dressing room. Not only was the service amazing, but she made me feel warm, welcome and beautiful. She was super patient and knew exactly what would fit my style & body type. (The woman's a genius!!) Needless to say, I said YES TO THE DRESS that evening. There were 2 dresses that I fell in love with (both totally different styles) but I ended up choosing the mermaid with a ruffled bottom. It was very slimming on me, and the way it fit my curves edged out the runner up. Erin brought me a bell, and I made a wish, as part of the tradition to saying YES! I couldn't be more happy with my entire experince. From the second I opened the door, to leaving with my perfect dress, the night was magical! I never thought I'd get that "this is the ONE feeling", but I totally did, and I even shed a few tears! My mother and aunt did also haha. The staff finds you an affordable dress quickly many reviews say. Just a warning though. Whatever dress you pick, you need to ask " How much APPROXIMATELY " Will this cost to hem?" Is my daughter worth it? Of course. But if I bought a car for a good price but it just needed a tune up i would be happy with the price till the tune up cost close to the price of the car. I bought my dress from this David's bridal. The first time I went, I worked with a consultant named Stephanie and I brought my mom and two friends with me. It was a good experience, the consultant was positive and friendly and allowed my group to choose dresses and get involved. She was pulled in several directions because she had multiple appointments going on at the same time, but in some ways that was nice because my group and I felt free to discuss the dresses openly. It did slow things down though when we needed to ask a question. She and the other staff didn't pressure me at all and said I was free to sleep on it and they'd keep my favorite dresses noted in their system. My second time, I went alone to re-try some dresses and try different ones. My consultant this time was named Samantha and she was also very friendly and helpful. She offered her opinions as well, which I appreciated since I was by myself. I ended up finding a dress I really loved and she put it on hold for me until the end of the day (it was a sale dress). Again, she didn't pressure me at all. I ended up returning while she was still there, and she let me try it on again before purchasing, answered my questions, and let me ring the bell! I was hesitant about going to a David's bridal, because I've heard a lot of negative things about them, but I honestly really liked my experience with them. Sales person made me feel insecure and offended me. Offered me a size 14 when I repeatedly stated I was a size 6 or 8. Told me I didn't look good in a dress that I liked saying it was "way too tight." In the last year I went from a 0 to an 6 and I was already nervous about shopping for a dress, and this experience was worse than I expected. Also poor dress selection anyways. I understand they are there to help people with sizes and everything but the way this person went about it was really triggering for someone who is recovering from an ED. In the store for over 40 minutes with my sister who is engaged. We did not have an appointment, but decided to look around. Her ring is prominently displayed on her finger (not that that should matter). We were clearly looking at wedding dresses and then bridesmaid dresses, and were never approached to see if we needed help or had questions. Eye contact was never made until 30 minutes in when I was told that I couldn't have my coffee in the store. Even after the attendant took my coffee to throw out, she STILL didn't ask how we were making out. When we left, there were 3 employees by the front door, and none of them even said bye or thank you. We will not be visiting this David's Bridal to try on or purchase the dress my sister found that she loved, or for our bridesmaid dresses. read more

I had my sleeping infant with me and I was looking for a dress for my brothers wedding. I am thankful I am not getting my dress through this establishment. I picked out my bridesmaids dresses through Davids Bridal. It has been nothing short of a nightmare. Every bridesmaid that has gone to order their dress has had nothing but problems. They had 2 colors in for my dresses, so I had a bridesmaid calling asking what color to choose... I thought that was squared away. So they had ordered a dress in the wrong color, so that had to be sent back. Then there was a sash that had to be ordered along with the dress, they did not put this on my file so the dresses were being ordered without this sash. On top of the color issue and sash issue the dress was suddenly marked down and they told one of my bridesmaids this meant it would most likely be discontinued soon. Well that would have been nice to know! My sister went in today to order her dress, tried it on with a consultant and had them order it. When she went to confirm they had the right information they had already messed up on her size. I also was told something I needed to order was half the price it was when I went to order it, which wasn't that big of a deal, but I spent twice what I was expecting. No No NO NO- I seriously wonder how these people keep their jobs. First, they ask you to make an appointment for everything- which is good- because if you have an appointment you think you are going to get someone to work one on one with you. WRONG- I went here to buy a bridesmaids dress and at every "appointment" I had to literally walk around the store- half undressed- to find someone to zip my dresses. I don't know why no one would stay around and help someone who is going to spend at least $200 in your store- but they didn't- and the alterations people aren't any better- my dress needed to be taken up 1/2 an inch in the shoulder so it would keep slipping off- and the lady took it up way too much and when i picked up the dress it was so tight- but she couldn't fix it before the wedding- so I had to wear it like that- it was soo uncomfortable! I cannot get completely upset with DB. It is a department store for wedding dresses, after all. I came here with the lowest expectations on the planet, mainly from the reviews on here, and my friend telling me her slightly "meh" experience. My mother and I miraculously had a weekend together, and went to DB after making an appointment online. Just for what it's worth, my mom and I dressed up somewhat nice because we are not slobs. I am not sure if this played into how we were treated so well, but regardless, I do think it's an etiquette thing. If you dress like a slob, you will be treated like a slob. When we arrived, the lady at the front was very sweet and asked me if I would like to look around before my consultant came. I said "sure but I have no idea what I'm looking for", which is so true! It is a sea of white out there! My mom and I pulled up my pinterest page where I had saved some dresses I had liked, and went and pulled some that I managed to figure out with their category system in the store. My consultant, Delfina, came up to me and introduced herself, took a look at the styles I liked, and helped me with any other filler dresses or what I could possibly like. Can I just say Delfina should run the whole store herself? She really should. The woman is magical. Fast forward, I tried on maybe five dresses that first day? I saw one I liked on pinterest, but in person it looked terrifying. However, Delfina insisted on me trying it on... it was the most beautiful dress I had ever seen, I just couldn't imagine it on. I was sold. I gave myself 24 hours and came back the next day to try on a long sleeve (hated it), and put back on that dress and had to say yes. I mean, it was amazing, the people in the store (the customers as well as workers) all would stop and say I looked amazing, and Delfina made the process seamless and painless. She was super sweet and instantly knew and understood my style. Now, I came back a few times and luckily the lady at the front (bless her, I don't know her name but I could totally be her best friend) was always the best part of the experience. Last time I came, I was with a bridesmaid and just wanted to try on a few dresses. The store didn't have as many consultants so we were totally lost, but I do have to give you fair warning, my bridesmaid and I looked a bit crummy that day (had just gotten out of class) and we really were just trying on to get a feel for dresses. We weren't there to get an experience of a lifetime, really. Anyway, for what it's worth, David's Bridal has a decent selection. My dress happened to be one of their more "expensive" dresses, but there is something in every budget which is wonderful. I attended David's Bridal in April of 2013 with my sisters mother aunt and friend to help my sister pick a wedding dress and find a bridesmaid dress for me. I never knew much about the store but because my aunt works for corporate and we could get a discount, we decided to use them. We walked in and it reminded me of the closeout/sale basement in the Macys Cellar. It was not clean, awful lighting, gross tiny dressing rooms, hectic chaos, unorganized, barely any seating for guests, no privacy, and overall very low end. The bride was low maintenance so she dismissed all this and tried on the dress she liked and fell in love. Next it was the bridesmaid turn. For such a big store you think they would have a few selections of sizes and colors? Nope, you were lucky to find the style of the dress in your size, and there was NO WAY you were going to try it on in the color you want. Just need to open up your wallet and use your imagination. I try on my dress ( a size 8) and it fits pretty well. However, I am training for a marathon in May and I have already lost 10 lbs. I am assuming I will lose a few more by the time the marathon is over and the wedding comes so I was a little hesitant to order my dress 4+ months in advance. While checking out, I explain this to the consultant Delphine "I am training for a marathon, I already lost a few pounds and I am sure I will lose a few more by the time I run the marathon, can I wait until after the race to order my dress" And her famous response: "NO you need to order the dress now because it can take 12 weeks to come in. And you should keep running, no offense or anything. The dress was bunching up around your thighs" ARE YOU KIDDING ME- I am 25, 5'6, 150 lbs, toned, by no means fat, and I had just run 17 miles THAT morning, and this STRANGER has the audacity to tell me i should keep running? Mind you I did not ask for a critique on my weight, I asked her about ordering the dress a month later. It was one of the most out of line comments I have ever heard from some ones mouth, never mind from a bridal consultant. Needless to say the dress came in TWO WEEKS LATER and they the nerve to tell me I had to travel down to their dumpy facility in Rhode Island to pick it up within a week. Delphine just wanted to make her commission right then and there. If you want to pay 150 dollars for a bridesmaid dress you cant even try on in the right color, and if you want to pay 150 dollars to be INSULTED by a consultant, then please use Davids Bridal. If you want an enjoyable experience with nice people in a nice facility, please use some one else. read more

Today we went for my very first brides dress shopping experience. We worked with Stephanie, a young girl in her early 20's, I am saying that because I believe there were two of them. I went there not knowing what I wanted, but knowing what I didn't want. She was patient and kind as I maneuvered my way through all the white. She was honest with me and it was nice to get a strangers/professionals unbiased opinion. We had a very good shopping experience and I would recommend her. She knew when I was getting overwhelemved with choosing a veil and she gave me the support to allow me to come back another day and figure that out. Two weeks before my wedding, I was panicking because I had put on some weight and my dress no longer fit. I had bought my dress from a different David's Bridal location, but because both locations were somewhat far from my house, brought it to a tailor first to see if it could be let out. This tailor told me there was no room in the dress to let it out, and that my only options were to add a corset back or to get a new dress. I was pretty devastated. So even though I didn't have much hope, we drove over to David's Bridal in Warwick. We walked in without an appointment and asked if a seamstress could look at the dress, and were seen immediately. The seamstress took one look at me in the dress and knew exactly what to do. We had our doubts, since she took very quick measurements, but when the alterations were completed a week later, the dress fit PERFECTLY and you'd never know it was altered. This lady knows her stuff! I'm so thankful to the ladies at this DB. Not only did they fix my dress, but they were kind and reassuring when I came in visibly upset with a dress that didn't fit, and they even waived the rush fee on the alterations for us. I know DB doesn't have the best reputation for service, but they really saved the day for me. read more

I had an appointment on Monday night to try on wedding dresses for the first time. I was extremely anxious upon my arrival, but the staff was very welcoming. I worked with Brianna. She was amazing and I reccommend everyone to request her when scheduling an appointment at this location. I was very unsure of exactly what style dress I wanted, but she was more than helpful. I was able to try on at least seven dresses. I called in two of them to be ready for me to try on, but the rest were all Brianna. All of the dresses we chose together were by the same designer. After I tried them all on she could tell that I wasn't really in love with any of them. She asked me if I minded trying on one more dress that was designed by someone else. Then, she disappeared for a couple of minutes before she came back with a gorgeous dress. The dress she had me try on last was absolutely perfect and had everyone in my bridal party's vote! It was a really great experience and I will be going back to this location for my bridesmaid dresses! read more

I got my wedding dress here in 2006 and it was the first bridal store I had ever been to. I didn't make an appointment because I was naive and didn't realize I needed one. It was busy, but they managed to get me in within 25 minutes. I had a good experience overall and the woman helping me was nice and catered to me trying on 5 dresses AFTER I had found the one I loved...just to be sure. They were helpful with the alterations I needed and I ended up getting my dress with 0% financing and was able to pay it off before the period was up. Recently I came in to get a bridesmaid dress. I did come in on my lunch break during the week and it was empty inside, but they were very helpful and I tried on the dress in 2 sizes and was in, paid and out within 20 minutes. They said the dress might take 8 weeks to come in, but was at the store in 3. I picked it up and am very happy with the dress. read more

Before I went to the store, I called because I was unclear of the preservation process. The woman who answered the phone was very friendly and helpful. Right afterwards, my husband and I made the 45 minute trip to David's Bridal to get my dress preserved. I was greeted right away and helped right away. I think the saleswoman could see the fear in my eyes as she picked up my dress so she let me watch her pack my dress up. If you want to ensure that your bridal fitting experience feels like you went to the DMV located in a sweatshop... swing your girl parts on over to David's Bridal. From the overwhelmingly horrendous experience I had, i've come to the following conclusions: They hire only the most exceptionally s#!%%& staff that give less than an ounce of fux's about customer service, attention to detail, or courtesy in general. You're pretty much invisible to them until you actively say that you are here for a confirmed appointment. If you don't have a confirmed appointment, they take that as an their cue to hop off their brooms and unfurl their inner witch... The staff had that " I just finished fitting dementors for wedding dresses" vibe the entire time I was there... With a few exceptions, being the head seamstress at the final fitting and first associate I encountered at my 1st appointment, the customer service associates at my first fitting made it clear that it was perfectly fine to ignore me...the customer that actually made an appointment for almost an hour ..while another customer (without an appointment) finished her fitting. I had an appointment for 6pm, and they had me waiting for just about an hour basically babysitting another customers child. No one cared to notify us that a previous appointment came in an hour late, and thought it perfectly fine to just move that person into my appointment time, instead of just rescheduling the late customers appointment. Once I took the initiative to actually reschedule MY OWN appointment, as I'm leaving the seamstress says " I can help you now" it was after 7pm. I wanted nothing to do with them. Left asap Upon finally picking up my dress, the head seamstress gave little to no attention to detail regarding the finishing touches of my gown. That's what a seamstress is SUPPOSED to do. Neither that nor any sense of customer courtesy in choosing to shop at that store was offered. When I walked to the back, the head seamstress was sitting at a sewing machine. Super unattentive, and couldn't be bothered to acknowledge me as being the bride. So I put on my finished gown. Waiting for the seamstress to come in. Everything fits great, however it was clear that it ended up being a rushed job. Walking out my MOH informs the seamstress of some strings in the back of my dress. Like WTF, attention to the minor details is 99% of the job.If you aren't paying attention to details what were you doing this entire time you had the gown?! Either this low-rent operation needs more seamstresses or fewer appointments because most everyone appeared to be rushed and careless throughout the entire experience. I walked out with my dress in hand. No "congrats" or "thanks for shipping with us" "good luck on your marriage" nothing they didn't even look up at us. Overall I was very dissatisfied with my experience in every way. There were so many more lows than highs. If it wasn't for the dress and the price I would of never have gone there. Go for the dresses... leave the rest of the aggravation there and get it tailored elsewhere. read more

I used this David's Bridal to get a bridesmaids dress for a friend's wedding and while trying on dresses for my own wedding. Both times I had an easy-going experience with the people and the process at DB (Julie was my consultant while trying on wedding dresses and she was really great). Obviously since they're a chain business, they have very specific business practices that they follow - including info they give you, "spiels" they have to say, etc. They're also usually extremely busy. I've visited 7 bridal salons (seems like oh so much more) in my search for the dress and can say that the quality of dress/material is definitely the cheapest. My bridesmaids dress for my friend's wedding started to pull apart at the hip seam shortly after I wore it. For some of the wedding dress prices, I definitely couldn't justify spending that much money on a dress that isn't top-notch quality/make. Regardless, I've found everyone that I've interacted with at the Warwick DB to be pleasant and helpful! read more

David's Bridal was the first place I went to try on dresses after getting engaged and it was such a great experience! Highly recommend for multiple reasons. Firstly, the apt. is an hour and half, so you don't feel rushed at all (this is not always the case with other salons). Secondly, our consultant, Delfina, was wonderful - she actually made me tear up a few times because she was so great! She's been a consultant at David's Bridal for 17 years, so it was clear she knew what she was doing. She pulled every dress I wanted to try on, was very attentive when I needed help zipping up, but didn't hover throughout the apt. (so I actually felt comfortable having candid conversations about the dresses with my parents). I told her I had a few more appointments at other places, so she scheduled a "come back" apt. for me a few days later (so smart because it's gets really overwhelming trying on so many different dresses). Bought my wedding dress at this location in November. Manager Kristen made the experience awesome and answered all my logistical questions about timing for buying gowns. I wanted to add sleeves to a sleeveless dress, but chose to wait to buy the sleeves until a later date. Tried to do so at a store in VA and they would not sell me the sleeves bc I wasn't getting my alterations done there...my mom went back to the Warwick location and Linda was able to find exactly what I was looking for, let her purchase them, and put them in the mail to me later that day! I came in for a a bridesmaid gown. I was super specific about the desired material (chiffon) I even watched them write it down on my information sheet. Half an hour later I had purchased a dress and was on my way home (45 minutes away) when the bride called me to inform me it wasn't the correct material. After speaking to 2 sales associates and having exactly what I needed made very clear, I still received the wrong dress. I had to call and process my return over the phone, and then the bride had to go select a dress for me as it was nearly the end of the year and she was told by a sales associate that colors will be retired, but they were not sure which ones. Needless to say that put the entire bridal party in a bit of a pinch to get the dresses before 1/1/17. Not a good experience across the board. read more

I just had the WORST shopping experience in my life. My friend lives in RI and I live in NH, so I went to the David's Bridal in Warwick to get my bridesmaid dress altered back in December. The size 4 was too small and the 6 too big, so I bought a 6 and asked for it to be taken in to somewhere between a 4 and 6. I couldn't get back down there until April because I live so far. I tried on the dress and couldn't get it zipped up at all! It was actually now smaller than the 4! The seamstress was different than the one that was there last time....so she got the assistant manager over to see what they could do. It was impossible to let it back out because they had cut the material. They decided to measure me again. Well, the measured me with the dress still on, and came up with a bust and waist measurement two inches bigger than before. So the assistant manager said that since the measurements changed, they couldn't reimburse for alterations ($75). I said, "I haven't gained any weight since then, if that's what you're implying, and I think you are." She clearly wasn't listening to me when I told her that I can actually zip up the 4 although it's tight, but can't zip up the altered dress! I said, "this is what needs to happen: You need to order me a new dress, and I need to get it altered elsewhere since David's Bridal clearly can't be trusted, and you will be reimbursing me the alteration fee." She said she could order the new dress but would have to wait and go through customer service to see what to do about the alterations. I was fuming at this point, and asked to speak to the manager. The manager said right away, "I won't be able to reimburse the alteration fee because your measurements have changed" (once again calling me fat!) so I said, "I DEMAND to be reimbursed." After that failed, I said, "Okay, I'm going to put on the size 4 dress here in the store, and also the altered dress, take pictures of both, and send them to corporate. You WILL be giving me my money back." So I took the manager into the dressing room and tried on both. It took that to convince her that yes, the altered dress was smaller than the 4 and may as well have been a 2. By the way, now I can zip up the 4, so I must have LOST weight, if anything. I'm SO unimpressed. They fought with me over $75, but have now lost out on thousands, because I will not buy my wedding dress there, and I will not have my bridesmaids buy their dresses there either!!! I'm getting married this October and didn't want to go to a fancy expensive boutique to find my wedding gown. I'm pretty pragmatic. I came in on a Friday afternoon with my sister and found the perfect dress. The dress was only $250 and it was 100% me! Not too showy, glitzy, or overdone. My consultant Kathy was very helpful and found the perfect veil to go with the dress. The veil is 120 inches long and almost $500! A week or so later I noticed my dress was $99 online. I asked my mom to go and see if she could get an adjustment. She was able to! The dress came in, now I need to put hooks in it but with a petticoat I don't need to have it hemmed. Their alterations are kind of expensive so we're going elsewhere. I don't understand why people dislike this place so much. I deducted a star because I didn't care for their bridesmaid's dresses. I had gone with my sister-in-law to help her find Bridesmaids dresses and the service is absolutely HORRIBLE. If I could make the word larger in bold, italicize and underline "horrible" I would. The entire experience not only made my sister-in-law more stressed out than she really needed to be. I walked in this store looking for a few dresses I saw online. Although it showed that some of the dresses were in store, they were not. However, Delfina helped me out. She showed me a few dresses I may like, and I tried those on. She then showed me a dress that I never would have chosen for myself, and I LOVED IT!! I had her hold it for me, I wanted my Mom to see it. I thought Delfina was on the next day, so we decided to go up there the next day, but Delfina wasn't on however, I tried the dress on and my Mom also loved it! I ended up purchasing the dress and Delfina still got the credit for it! The woman who helped me the second day (sorry, I don't remember her name) was also very helpful! Similar experience to many other ladies... from the start of my appointment, my associate kept walking over to another bride to get her stuff even though she was being helped by someone else... don't know if her gown was really expensive or what. Then, after I tried on 2 dresses, she said "I'll be right back". Like, walked away while I was asking her a question. 10 minutes later I saw her pulling a dress for yet another bride. At minute 12 of watching this girl help other brides during my appointment time, I just walked out, no one said anything to me. Just to clarify? I had a great experience here with my sister today while we were looking for a bridesmaid dress. Vicky greeted us, she was friendly, helpful, and set the tone for a wonderful appointment. Themi was with us the entire appointment and help us find the perfect dress. She made the appointment go smoothly and was always willing to pull more dresses for us! All of the dresses we tried on were flattering on both of us, soft, comfortable, and definitely had plenty of room to dance in! I was impressed by the dress selection and by all of the staff we interacted with. Went to this location with my best friend, her mother and two sisters last year. I guess you get what you pay for, especially at a place like this. The staff was not very helpful, and even suggested that the Maid of Honor lose some weight to fit into a smaller dress. She is a very fit girl who had just run 15 miles that morning, by the way. The bride was very pleased with her purchase as she knew exactly what she wanted. It was not made into a special affair in any way, just another run of the mill dress fitting. If you are looking for something special, I don't suggest coming here. The dress that was chosen for the bridesmaids was fine and held up for the occasion that it was needed for. read more

I was pretty impressed with my experiences here. Usually I am not a fan of chain stores or restaurants. However, after being treated poorly at smaller stores that do not want you to touch anything without them hovering over you, I ended up at David's. I found a huge selection of dresses that were my style for both a bridesmaid dress and my wedding gown. I like helpful people that are not smothering. Today I went for my wedding gown and I was helped my Samantha. I am thankful I arrived when I did and that I happened to have her. She was extremely helpful and kind without being pushy. I have seen other employees there that I would not recommend though. I ended up purchasing a dress and leaving happy. I will have to continue with my review after I have received the dress and go back for my fitting. The place is large inside and not private, which I like. I like feeling free, but still have help when I need it. For those of you who want privacy and constant attention, I recommend making an appointment ahead of time and letting them know your expectations since everyone is different. read more

I have been to this Davids Bridal 4 times. First time, to pick out a dress, 2nd a fitting for alterations, 3rd, to see how the alterations went, and 4th, to pick it up after it had been pressed. I didn't get a whole lot of help when initially looking at dresses (I did not have an appointment, so it is understandable). When asked if there was anything I was interested in, I gave them an idea of what I would like, and the salesperson was more than helpful. I tried on only 3 dresses, but I knew I had found one I loved! Rosie the seamstress was WONDERFUL! She is sweet, and did an awesome job! As for my dress, it was a strapless, and I wanted it to be halter style. I was a little bummed when I looked at the fabric ordered to do the halter (my fault, should've looked it when I received it), it was a different ivory color than my dress. Once put on the dress though, it looked great! When I went to pick up my dress, it wasn't quite ready yet, but Rosie and the woman who pressed it (sorry, I can't remember her name) were great; Very helpful, no issues at all. I had told them I was traveling with it, and if I needed to, I had a drycleaner who would press it and deliver it for $80. The woman who pressed it, showed me how she was doing it, and told me to go buy a steamer, which I did, on clearance for $8!!! Thanks again to these wonderful ladies. read more

I had a very wonderful experience here today. I was looking for a prom dress. It's very late to buy one, so they didn't have the one I had my heart set on. However, I ended up finding one in a very nice color and it is comfortable and fits me beautifully. I'm a bigger girl so it's hard for me to fit into things. I was complimented and helped. Everyone was very kind, and they made me feel very comfortable. Often, people make me feel unwanted since they're miserable where they work, but this wasn't the case. I went in and got my dress so fast. Fastest shopping experience of my life. Delfina helped me while she was helping a bride and managed to stay on task and she is absolutely amazing! If you can request her, do it. She really is wonderful. She's kind, makes you feel comfortable, and she works hard. read more

Absolutely the worst service i have ever experienced. I am the maid of honor is my best friends wedding in a few weeks. this davids bridal started out bad for us and just got worse. The bride had her initial shopping experience on a sunday. we made an appointment and we were greeted very kindly when we walked in the door. thats when the positive ended. we had to wait nearly 30 minutes to be set up in a room with an associate, even though there only seemed to be one other bride shopping in the whole store. once we were finally set up with an associate she asked the bride what she was looking for. My friend was really not sure and asked for quite a few options. she did point out one dress in a catalog that she had seen on line. it was a typical ball gown style. even though she asked for options, that was al the sales women showed her. 3 ball gowns in white. nothing different. they were practically the same dresses with different bedding. after asking multiple times for more options, the sales lady walked away to help someone else. so we had to take it upon ourselves to search the racks to find her more options, as well as dress her. the sales women was no help at all! she did eventually find a dress that she loved. the next nightmare came with alterations. her first fitting she went to by herself. the bodice of the dress was just slightly big, she felt that she had to continently pull it up. after asking the seamstress to take it in the said it was "too difficult" to take in sure to the beading and perhaps she should think about putting on a few pounds so it would fit better! who says that to a bride! now, my friend is by no means skin and bone! she is in the army (just returned from overseas) and is very fit! she does NOT need to gain a few! (or lose a few for that matter)! plus, what kind of bridal shop sells a dress that is "too complicated" to take in! no one said that when she bought it! she would have picked a dress that had a different fit! for her next fitting she brought me (because I'm the loud mouth as you can tell) and her mother. the dress was a MESS! granted it was only the first fitting but the hem was completely crooked, the tie ups for the train were in the wrong place, and they had just "forgotten" to include a few layers of fabric which just stuck out awkwardly. most incredibly, there was appliqués on the skirt. where they cut the fabric for the hem they cut THROUGH ONE! instead of removing it and putting back on sightly higher, they just cut right through the lace and beading! and when i questioned that (and the fact that they wouldn't take it in) the seamstress snapped at me! saying she was the manager of the alterations dept and apparently could do no wrong! after causing a mini scene she agreed to replace to appliqué and take in the bodice of the dress for another $50! when i asked if that price was guaranteed she snapped at me again (at this point i had to step outside before causing bodily harm to this women). all the time my friend, the bride, was so frustrated she was near tears. this past friday (3/2) we went back to pick up the dress. it was suppose to be finished, cleaned and pressed. after driving the 25 minutes to the store at 6:30 pm on a friday, the same "manager" told us that we didn't have an appt and the dress was not ready. she said the bride could try it on to make sure it fit but it wasn't clean, there were still strings hanging from it and it was full of wrinkles! and again she was very rude and brushed off the fact that we had driven there for no reason even though we had an appt card to pick up the dress but she didn't book it so it wasn't ready. she made it out that it was out mistake! i am going to pick up the dress this friday. after all is said and done, it is a beautiful dress, which we should have taken elsewhere to be altered. the customer service here is some of the worst i have ever experienced! when the time comes that it is my turn to get married, Davids bridal is the last place i will go. That experience has ruined the entire company for me! My advice is to stay away from here! read more

We went in over the Christmas holidays to try on Bridesmaid dresses. Sales help was virtually missing, althought she came by once in awhile to offer an opinion. It was not busy! We quickly found one the bride loved & were assured it was available. We put it on our list to save so the other bridesmaids, in various parts of the country, could order it at their local David's Bridal. When they called to order it TWO days later, it was discontinued!! Needless to say, we shopped elsewhere & would not consider buying anything at this store! read more
