I recently purchased a wedding dress at your Tyler, TX location. My stylist, Abby, was fabulous however the alterations were not. The alteration's person wanted to charge me over $500 on a dress that cost $199. I am disappointed at the service of a simple dress, that just needed to be hemmed. They even wanted to charge me for STEAMING which, I think, should be free upon purchase. I took my dress and left, without having it altered, or steamed! read more

After having an absolutely terrible experience at another bridal salon in Tyler, I came to David's with very low expectations of finding a dress. Enter Kelsea C! She was so kind, attentive and helped me say yes to a dress! Without Kelsea's guidance I probably would have continued to bounce around from store to store, and I would have never found a dress I was happy with. Kelsea was able to pick a dress that was absolutely perfect for me, and styled it in a way that I could finally see myself walking down the aisle; I cannot thank her enough. While I'm not looking for a wedding dress anymore (yay!) I'll keep David's in mind for any future dress purchases- they had a huge selection of lovely formal dresses! read more

Mom went in to get a dress for an upcoming wedding. She was tended to by someone named Courtney and found a dress. She was told that if she waited until the day Courtney made the appointment for alterations that it would be included in the dress price, which my mom paid in full. We went to get the alterations done; now those are super sweet ladies, but then she was getting charged over $300 for alterations. After explaining to them what Courtney had said, we were told that they could not help us and that we would need to pay the alterations. Of course, Courtney wasn't there. We were told the bride before mom's appointment had the same thing happen and she left angry as well. Ended up leaving with the dress and going somewhere else for alterations. All in all, again, alteration ladies were super sweet, and my assumption is that the girls that work up front work job commission. Otherwise, I don't know what you would lie about things unless you're trying to make a commission. I don't recommend this place due to the lies from the initial girl. I'll recommend a local business next time any of my folks or friends need a dress. read more

I came into this location a few weeks ago for my wedding dress and Ashlyn was AH-MAZING. She was patient and SO KIND. I ended up buying my dress that day even though my mom was not there. Today, that was a WHOLE different story. I brought two of my bridesmaids in to try on bridesmaids dresses. The first girl that was helping us out was named Brittney. She was SO sweet and adorable. She helped us pick out dresses. She let both girls pick five dresses each (which is what I was told on the phone) and then came back to the dressing room to try them on. For some reason she had a bride come in and she had to take over there. Okay fine. Then a girl named Meranda came up to help us and was OVERLY rude. You could TELL she did NOT want to take over our appointment. She stated that each girl couldn't try on 5 dresses. It was a TOTAL of 5 dresses between BOTH girls. You could 100% tell that we were an inconvenience to her in some way or form. Our appointment was from 4:30-5:30. We left at 5:06. 36 minutes for two of my girls to find, try on, and stand in line to buy dresses. I don't know how we could have possibly inconvenienced Meranda by making an appointment. However, I will happily be driving to a different location in the DFW area to bring my other bridesmaids and flower girls too for their dresses. read more

This review is for Danielle and Brittany. I am from California and I am getting married in October. I picked out my bridesmaids dresses from David's Bridal Vera Wang Collection. I have sisters in different states that are my bridesmaids. One sister visited the Tyler Texas location and immediately called me in a frenzy to let me know that the dress I had picked was on clearance and almost all completely sold out all over the country. This stressed me out as you can imagine, I mean my wedding is 3 months away! She was able to order the last in her size. She handed the phone over to Danielle so she could better assist me. She is the absolute sweetest lady! She let me know that there were only 5 dresses left and they only came in size 8 and 14. Perfect! Those were the sizes I needed for my sisters. She took it upon herself to call the actual locations so I didn't have to to make sure that the dresses were in sell-able condition. How amazing is that?! She contacted me shortly after to follow up and let me know that the dresses could not be sold. I was extremely frustrated that I now had to go pick another style out for my sisters. Danielle was very upset for me which meant a lot. She went through all of that searching for absolutely nothing. Once I was able to look online and find another style, I called this location to order for me. I could have ordered online but I wanted Danielle to get credit for this purchase. I spoke with Brittany and she informed me that Danielle was off that day. Brittany helped me with my purchase and thanked me for shopping through them even though I'm all the way out in California. This store has some of the rudest staff I have ever encountered. There were about 4 staff members hanging out at the front desk during our visit while we waited past our scheduled an appointment time for someone to help us. We perused the dresses until one of them came and yelled at us for going to the clearance section of the store. I guess they don't want customers looking at the marked down dresses. The associate who ended up helping was great, but seemed a little harried as she was helping at least two brides as well at the same time. The 4 ladies at the front whose only job it seems is to guard the clearance section and tell customers they can't bring drinks into the store should put some more effort into helping their customers. read more

Went to the Tyler location with my sister so she could find a wedding dress. I'll be honest, I have been to David's before to find my own wedding dress last year and my consultant was not super helpful. Tonight my sister was helped by Michaella. She was excellent! She handled our (slightly pushy) group amazingly. She was taking care of two brides at once and was able to pay attention to both of them, pull dresses for both of them, and was an engaging and fun consultant. If you are going to David's Bridal I hope you are able to work with Michaella because she is the best! read more

I am the M.O.B. and went in for bridesmaids dress fittings and met with Donnamarie. She was wonderful for us. Took care of our daughter and her anxieties about the whole fitting experience. She was knowledgeable about the different dresses and styles. She loved her. I wasn't looking for my wedding attire, but she helped me find my perfect outfit! This David's Bridal is HORRIBLE! I will be driving to Longview before ever going here again. First I went in with my fiance and one of my bridesmaids to look at bridesmaid dresses. Since my girls are scattered all over I figured it would be nice to get a chain place for them. I was assigned "Meranda" who was MIA 99% of the time. Totally fine with me since I'm just looking at bridesmaid dresses. Meranda shows me where to find long dresses and colors. I say "I know I want to do Quartz as my color." My bridesmaid and I pick out several dresses and head to the dressing room. After several questions and having to go ask random employees who just keep saying "Meranda's helping you" Once again, can't find Meranda, We finally pick a dress. Out of now where Meranda knocks on the dressing room door and points to the dress we picked out and says "You cant get that in Quartz, you can only get lace dresses in Quartz." Frustrated that she did not tell me that when I said the color I wanted in the beginning, I pick out another dress for my girls. I can't find Meranda to make a party so all my girls can see the dress. I ask another employee who writes it down for me and states she will give it to Meranda. Well shocker, it was not made. Also FYI Mernada, The first dress does come in Quartz!! Terrible customer service and very catty ladies. This is suppose to be a special time for brides so try smiling ladies. Update: I feel that I should say my second trip was much better. I spoke with the manager Cindy who was very sweet and helped up the entire time. I was very pleased with my experience at this David's Bridal. My wedding is June 18th so it was time to hurry up and pick a dress. Brittany R. Morgan helped me find several different options to try on that would be flattering. She was sweet and patient with me when I didn't like a few of the dresses she showed me. She was really great with helping me in and out of the dresses that I tried on. I loved that she took an interest in who I am and what my wedding would be like. Brittany was very knowledgable and answered all of my questions. She was able to help me pick out a really gorgeous wedding dress that I can't wait to wear! read more

David's Bridal gets 1 star (by default) 0 is not an option...This was the second place that I went shopping for a bridal dress, let me describe my adventure here at David's Bridal. So upon arriving to this location (yes I was 15 minutes late, yes I called 1 hour and 30 minutes ahead and advised that I would be late), there were 4 ladies at the front counter welcoming me to the store asking questions the norm. One lady advised me that another lady would be assisting me as I heard her side conversation with another consultant that she put a walk in where I was suppose to be hence the tiny dressing room that I was given. Then I was told to look around myself and the consultant would find me and she did in about 5 minutes no worries right WRONG. The consultant Erin came over and asked Well what are you looking for (very rude), my response was not the best, hummm a wedding dress and I would like something along the lines of what I added to my favorites you know the photos on the paper in your hand. I them paused because this should be a happy time so I asked her if she needed a minute to compose herself, it seems like she was just handed my information and not prepared she said no she was fine. Make a long story short the two dresses that I liked were not available in the store and had to be order, how do I know this well simply because she decides to yell it at me when I was showing my daughter. BIG MISTAKE!!! So from the time I said hello she was rude and unprofessional hair not combed and clothes in disarray. Helps me try on a dress and I eventually sat down in the dress waiting on her to help me take it off suggests that my daughter helps me (not gonna happen she doesn't get paid for that you do) after I literally waited 20 minutes. A young consultant comes and asks if she can help me her name is LEXI remember that name (she is very help yes she is brand new only about two weeks. Now back to Ms. Erin and her outburst, yelling at me is unacceptable me not advising you of your next me well that's a given. I kindly told Erin that the only way I would know what is available an not available is by you telling me and that you did not, then I let her know that our conversation was done and that she should not utter a syllable in my direction or my daughters moving forward. I then attempted to tell the manager noticed the word attempt she was not interested in what I was saying nor did she care about my concerns.Yes I found my dress with the help of me, myself, and I of course Ms. Lexi assisted with helping me try it on! This store is not a horrible place just the lack of concern and attention to customer you know future brides the ones that pay you on pay day!!! I'm not an insecure woman by far but if it would have been any other bride she would have cried but not because she found her dress more so because of management and Erin. I have found this particular store to be sub-standard. The night I called to order my bridesmaid dress, their computer was down due to a storm. They were to call me the next am to take my order, they never called. When I went to try on the dress, the attendant left me in the dressing room and never returned. I summoned my fiancé and he came to zip the dress. Unexplainable behavior here at this store, as the store in Franklin, Tn was beyond your dreams helpful. Now, the day I picked up the dress in May, I ordered my shoes. I was told 2 weeks. It is now July and I've made all the calls to this store. They have never called. The shoes were still at the distribution center last week. Yesterday, the store manager promised she would call me as soon as she unpacked the shipment...on that same day. Why did I trust her? She never called. I called again today. The shoes are there. Do they care? No. They do not. Their manager sets a poor example for the rest of the employees apparently. She's off for the rest of the week and I assure you, she will never recall promising to call me. read more

We went here shopping for a prom dress since my daughter had seen many dresses on-line that she liked. After walking in, I told the sales lady that we were looking for prom dresses and she pointed to the appropriate area. No one else spoke to us or offered to help. We wondered around and found the dressing rooms. No one checked on us or asked if we needed help. They weren't busy-- just didn't seem to care if we bought something or not. read more

I had an appointment. The ladies that were helping me were very kind & professional. I was very pleased with that part. I didn't however end up purchasing my dress here and the reason why is because of extreme pressure put upon me to pick my top 3 now, then come back for another appointment to make my final decision & place my order. I also was disappointed because I was brought dress styles that I requested NOT to see, because they would be unflattering on me, which they were. So obviously I'm going to be hesitant on wanting to spend my $1,000 plus money on a dress that was OK. I want to feel pretty in my wedding dress, not uncomfortable and embarrassed. Overall, they were so very friendly but their sales pressure is dreadful and ran me off. Advice, LISTEN to your brides in what they want & don't want. My mom and I came in this week to look for my wedding dress. Brittany helped us while we were shopping/trying on - she took a lot of care to find out exactly what we were looking for, and was constantly making great suggestions about accessories, alterations, etc. She was very knowledgeable about the dresses and designers, and was super friendly and personable. I ended up finding my dream dress in pretty much no time at all! What a horrible experience at this store in Tyler. First, they are at such a "loss for space" that they were belligerent in calling and saying the bridesmaid dress needed to be picked up while my daughter was 1000 miles away. And so rude! So I went and picked up the dress, of course my daughter did not need to try it on.. What a crock. So when they get back home a couple of days later, it of course doesn't fit. Back to the store to order another one. We were told it would be in to the store and ready to be picked up by 01SEP15. It is now 09SEP15 and it just now supposedly showed up, but of course she needs to try it on this time! My other daughter's wedding is in 9 days! These people at David's Bridal are so unprofessional and inconsiderate. I am now hoping that the dress won't need any alterations, because I am sure they would not get done in time. Choose another company to deal with when it comes to getting dresses for a bridal party. My oldest daughter, the bride, has had the same experience at the Tulsa, OK location as well. read more

This review is way over do because I purchased my dress over 2 years ago from this location and have yet to wear it. I live in California, but I was visiting my family here and wanted to go dress shopping with my mother. I went to the Davids Bridal here and I was not impressed with their service (Thats CA for you though no matter where you go). I love Texas and the southern hospitality I grew up with out there, and this place was no exception. I got one on one service from our consultant and she made me feel amazing. I got very lucky because the dress I really wanted they did not have in stock on my size (I am a size 0), however they did have a order that was never picked up in my dress style in a size 2 so I could alter it. Because it was a canceled order, I also got the dress 50% off which was better than the markdown price before they stopped making the dress. It made my day and no one here in California could ever match the attention and courtesy that my consultant there gave me. read more

If I could give this store zero stars, i would. Not only are they rude, but they aren't helpful at all. They all either congregate in the front to chit chat or they are all in the back doing the same thing. I made an appointment to try on wedding dresses. Not only did I have to wait for an hour, but when the consultant finally pulled dresses for me and had me in a room, I had to wait for her to stop texting on her phone. Also, she was too busy helping another consultant with another bride to help me. I will not recommend any of the stores to anyone. I have started to look elsewhere for my perfect dress. Unfortunately, all of my bridesmaids have ordered their dresses from you guys. Also, they never called one of my bridesmaids when her dress came in. It came in February 6, but she didn't find out it was there until she called on feb 18. It's not only the Tyler store though. I was very disappointed in this store. I made an appt to see about getting a mother of the bride dress. I am over 60 and the wedding is scheduled at an outside venue in November. I got to the store early. The only clerk there was on the phone so I started to look around. There were very few dresses for mothers. The selection was black, champagne or grey. Most were sleeveless, strapless or spaghetti straps. Totally inappropriate for my age and the venue. The rows of bridesmaids gowns were all strapless and bright colors. Finally I planted myself in front of the clerk on the phone. After a few minutes she halted her phone call and asked if she could help me. She then called another clerk who took me to the same single rack of mother dresses. I asked her if that was all they had. She told me to check the clearance rack which had very few gowns. None appropriate. She told me to go to the website and buy a dress and bring it in for alterations. Since the wedding is in a month I was worried I wouldn't be able to have the dress delivered and altered in time. I am not even sure what size to order. The clerk never offered to measure me so I would know what to order. Then she told me she didn't know if they could get it done on time. She said when you order it they will tell you when to expect delivery, then call us and we will tell you if we can get it done in time. This is a poor way to do business.
