Sooo I go to this location to have a bridesmaid try on a dress that I chose at a different location. I was traveling from out of state and was running late for my appointment. The rude woman at the front desk insists that they are booked and won't let us try it on. I walk out and call the store to avoid cursing her to hell.... Well don't you know I speak to a lovely woman named Alex. She tells me to come back in and apologizes for said rude girls behavior. Alex gets a 5. Ask for her when you go! We were in and out in 10 minutes as expected... Oh wait. And there were about 6 dressing rooms completely unoccupied. Perhaps said girl at front was just a bitch. read more

Completely overwhelmed with wedding planning, I couldn't even begin to think about what I wanted for my dress. After going to an upscale, super expensive and super rude bridal shop, I went to David's. And it was the difference between night and day. Catherine immediately made me feel at ease. She assured me that we would have fun and we did! I tried on a ton of dresses, happy that so much of what I bookmarked was in stock! Catherine was attentive, patient and genuinely seemed to care about finding "the dress" for me. And we did! We found the most amazing dress and that I am so in love with! Catherine also assured me of the flexibility of sizing and exchange (since we are over a year out and I plan on losing weight) and that put me at ease and made it easy for me to decide. And my dress came in right away! David's has been such a good experience so far and I would definitely recommend them. Make sure you ask for Catherine! read more

I came twice in David's Bridal (Springfield, NJ) to browse wedding dresses. I first met Shantez who was helpful gave me the choice to look for designs or dresses that I wish to try and all the dress looks so lovely that I was having a hard time choosing so we made another appointment for another day to come back. This time I met Loussa who is very wonderful. Since I also checked online for wedding dresses that I would like to try, she informed and presented to me the dresses that are available that I liked online to try in the store. She helped me try the dresses accompanying with the veil and jackets too. It made me feel how it will look like with the wedding dress for my wedding. She also answered all our questions and she knows how to complement the dress with the veils. She really knows her stuff well.With that, "I found the one" wedding dress that I love and I am very happy with it. The store celebrates with you once you choose your wedding dress too which made me feel more happy about my choice. Also, Laurinda of alterations department helped me out with my dress. She gave me options on what I can do with the dress that I bought and what I needed to do for it. She was really nice to me and my mother in law. I couldn't thank enough Laurinda and Loussa for the help. I recommend this store for being so patient and helpful with my choices for a wedding dress plus the quality of the dress and designs were really good. Please try it! read more

One of my bridesmaids finally received her dress after waiting almost 3 months and was told that she would have to exchange it for a size up because it was extremely tight at the bust line and the dress would come in the next 2 - 3 months (March). The rep that helped us took my bridesmaid measurements so we thought the dresses were being made to the measurements. But that is not the case... After receiving the dress we found out that standard sizes are ordered. If alterations are needed (which is more than likely since dresses are standard sizes) additional fees have to be paid. So, I ask again, what is the point of taking the measurements if the dresses are not made according to measurements? And why does it take 3 months? I wish we could return these dresses. I've seen better reviews for online stores that actually make dresses according to the measurements and provide faster service in comparison to David's. I am very disappointed. I called and spoke with 3 people to address this issue. None were helpful and the lady in the alterations department laughed. Terrible. I would never recommend anyone to David's Bridal. I didn't want to come here in the first place and now I wish I followed my intuition. I am frustrated that my bridesmaids paid so much for this dress and may have to pay additional for alterations. read more

Worst of the chain I have been to. When I scheduled the appointment they told me they had to put me in a bridal party slot because of the computer system. When I arrived they told me that it was going to be an issue because the consultant had 2 brides already! On a day that was supposed to be enjoyable one for me, I was annoyed. Not to mention that I drove over an hour to meet my bridesmaids there! This was on a Wednesday, not a busy weekend. They acted like I was such an inconvenience to them and then tried to pretend like they were trying to make me happy. After a 15 minute delay with all of the confusion they told me that I only had time to try on three dresses! Such a waste of my time and my bridesmaids time. read more

I can't say enough great things about my experience at David's bridal, and especially Monica, the best stylist! I am heading into my mid-40's , petite, and plus sized. I was dreading trying on wedding dresses. I kept thinking, "This is going to be like trying on bathing suits, I'm going to leave discouraged." I worked with Stylist, Monica and she REALLY helped me. She LISTENED carefully to my ideas and concerns and matched my dresses. She quickly picked up I had some concerns about my body, and really tailored the dress picks to my appointment. She also picked some dresses that I would have never picked and encouraged me to try them, as they really flattered my figure. I was also impressed with the quality and styles of dresses. I entered the store thinking I was just going to explore and see, I left with a great experience and purchasing a dress. I credit Monica for being a great consultant. She had excellent listening skills and kept asking great questions to pinpoint what I was looking for. She also knew her stock, she would disappear for a second and pull another great dress. The only recommendation I would suggest for the store would be is to have access to the Davids Bridal website in the store so the prospective brides can print out their favorites. read more

A few Fridays ago I went in to Davids Bridal in Springfield, NJ. I am in a Bridal party and the dress was picked out already. So I was just coming in to order the dress. So about 8pm both myself and the bride walked in. I was greeting with do you have appointment? I've shopped here before and never needed on. So I did not think to make one. Since want I need to do seemed very simple. I said no. I just need to order this dress for the wedding. She told me I wouldn't be able to do that since I didn't have appointment. Also as a side note. No one was in the store!! There wasn't a line of ladies just one other small group. So I asked if I could maybe just see the dress so I can see the fabric. After going back and forth a little she let me just look at the dress. I was told I wouldn't be able to try it on. So we left without ordering this dress. So later that night I decided to just go ahead and make this appointment so I would be able to try it on. So I come in at my appointment time 130 pm. Parking lot is packed!! So I walk in to do you have appointment. Yes I do. So she told me to sit right here and someone will be with me soon. I wait and wait. I am paired with the same girl from the night before and she also has a bride.. So she comes to me. I tell her I just want to try this dress on and order it. She gets me the dress puts me in a dressing room and leaves... I try on the dress in to sizes it fits get let me order this and leave. I go out of the dressing room. She is nowhere to be found. I walk to the front of the store and I finally spot here her. Shes with the bride....... so I wait and wait and wait.. I am now over my hour appointment spot. So I end up putting my dress back on the rack and go home and order the dress online. So if the day before on Friday when I went in to just order this dress and she would of just taken the order then I wouldn't be writing his review. I wrote a PM on facebook about my experience and I was asked for my contact info I was never contacted. I called Davids Bridal when I got the dress because it had a run in the fabric. It was taken care of very fast. The women who helped me on the phone told me the district manager will contact me about my store experience within 24 to 48 hours.. Guess what she didn't. I am so over this Davids Bridal I would never recommend this chain store. Instead stick with those locally owned Bridal boutiques!! I've had much better experience with them. I had an appointment, I was helped picking dresses not helped with trying on dresses as they were over booked. My girl friend had to help me in and out of every dress i tried. Hardly saw my consoltant and had to keep searching when we needed something. I found a dress and was on sale ,i had no price limit and got it for 400.00. Fast forward to fitting, Im short 4'11 ,talked me into a poofy slip when i said no i did not want and did not try on with the dress. They insisted i did and must have. I know what slip i tried it was smooth flat. I did fitting with slip and hated it . I left so upset the dress did not look the same,sent pics to friend even she said that does not look like it did when i picked it. I called back and said do not do anything went back with mother enlaw ,took slip out and now it looked a lot better. Guess what ! can't return slip all sales final. Now forced to spend that 70 on crap i really did not need or want. Now fitting charges were just as much as the dress and let me say not a great job!!! the busseles would not stay up on my wedding day. The removable straps i paid extra for were not removable and would not stay up on my shoulder, so i tucked in the back of the dress. The dress kept falling down my breasts were falling out, had to keep hiking the dress up and kicking the train of the dress cause i kept tripping . My girls were all to be in apple color long dresses (vera). but all different styles of a dress. My step daughters came in and was not the dress we ordered at all , nor did we ever try that dress on.All they could say was the girl no longer works here. To now have issue i can't get the dress i wanted in time and had to pick from what was in stock at warehouse as wedding was in few wks had to change the color to Black for the other girls.while my maid of honor was still apple. They offered nothing not even a discount for there screw up. Tho one of the managers that helped correct the issue was a fill in from another store so I'm told. This person was amazing in dealing with issues and speaking to someone . Only to find out then they never even put the measurements in the system , i said because they didn't take any, they also never even had the girls in the system the right way to find when we walk in. There was one consultant i do not know her name but helped my daughter with the new dress she was great. everyone else has no personality they don't know how to treat people. I have nothing nice to say about this place . over priced, screw ups , not consumer friendly and if it was not for me knowing what a wedding really is i would say they ruined my day. I have pictures of the straps not staying up and when i tucked them in the back the dress kept falling down and i had to keep pulling the dress up. the train of the dress got filthy because it would not stay up on the many hooks.Tho i had to pay for hooks in and out she said she had to do . My daughter and I went to several high end bridal shops before we went to davids. She tried on many dresses and some were very nice but none of them were "the dress". She had seen a Vera wang in a magazine and so that took us to davids bridal. While the atmosphere was more "low key" than we had experienced in some other shops the advice and service we received while "shopping" was great. But what really made the experience five star was after the purchase The alteration experience was extraordinary The time and attention to detail was really so much more than I had ever expected. My daughters wedding was on the other side of the globe The dress was "well worn" at the first party and we were hoping that it would survive for the upcoming party in NJ. Today I brought the dress in to see if they could spot clean and press for the upcoming event. They tested a spot and said it would not be a problem. Cost for this service was very reasonable. The people who work here have horrible people skills. Brought my mom here to look for a formal dress, but if you aren't there for a bridesmaid gown or wedding dress the staff could care less about you. Oh, but the only time the staff realizes you exist is if you cross over onto the bridal side. By the way that the person at the front desk lets rudely tells you that you're not allowed on that side, you'd thing that there's some secret treasure they're guarding over there. As I came into the store today to pick up a pair of shoes for my mother in law there was three females behind the desk one was working with another customer. I literally thought that I was invisible because no one was offering to help me as a customer. I started to have my phone conversation a little louder so that they could hear me since they possibly could not see me. The staff member who was working with the previous customer in a very rude way asked how could she help me? I told her I was there to pick up a order. She once again very rudely said go to the podium I walked past and someone would help me. As I explain to her there was nobody at the podium when I came in that's why I came to this desk as she rolled her eyes. so I am putting it on Yelp that this David bridal with the exception of a few staff members is about the rudest David's Bridal that I ever went to and this is my last time ever spending a dollar of mine or sending anyone else associated with my wedding to this particular location. Your location can take a lesson from Aaron which is a 18 year old sales associate in the east Brunswick NJ location. She can teach some of your associates how to treat and speak to customers who are spending their money in which it allows David's bridal to pay it's staff. read more

Worst experience of customer service from the manager ..my mom bought a dress 2months ago, payed in full for dress with the manager assisting us with a despicable attitude..told us when we have to return for the alterations for said dress. today we returned to take the measurement for the alterations and the staff said we have to pay for the service which is different from the total that we already paid.now its not a problem for us to pay the difference for the alterations but we asked 'PAT' on the said day when we paid for the dress amongst other stuff if that's going to be everything and she replied yes. My mom struck that off of her budget.today they are telling us a different story and when we spoke to the manager 'if you don't like it then return it and let me refund you now'her attitude was utterly rude and disgusting for her own common customer curtsey. The associate was not only rude but also unprofessional and unhelpful. I made an appointment and expected the associate to guide me and remain with me. She showed me to the dresses and told me to look for myself and then she left. When I wanted to try on dresses I had to look all over the store for her and she put me in a fitting room and left and never came back. The fitting room was absolutely filthy. The carpet smelled and had yellowish stains on it. It was absolutely disgusting. The dresses that I wanted to try on had makeup on them along with other spots and dirt. Why would I want to put this in my body and try it on? Even though it's just for size purposes, I expect to try on clean garments and not have to worry about what the stains are or if I'm going to catch something. The entire experience was very "tacky". Not only was the associate assigned to me unprofessional but so were the 2 women at the desk when you walk in. For the amount of money people spend in David's Bridal, this type of service should not happen. I will never go to David's Bridal again and I will not recommend them! read more

I was really hoping to have a good experience here, as it was the first place i went to try on wedding dresses. I made an appointment ahead of time, and when i called because i was about 5 min. late they did not even ask for my name and said it did not matter...because they already were short staffed and i would just have to wait. I got there with my mother and 2 sisters and they had me fill out a form, then i was assigned to a lady named Tahani, who said she was the manager but since they were short staffed she was going to be helping me today. She asked for my bra size and then stated, that their corsets run large (and brought me one 2 sizes too small.) I let her know it was too small and she brought me another one that was also not my sizel stating they had no other sizes. They had me look through their catalog and mark off dresses i liked, and brought no dresses i actually checked off, one of the dresses she brough was actually damaged... and none of them were the right size. Dressing room did not even have a mirror in it and the handle was falling off the door. Lady helping me (Tahani) put me in a horrible experience, pointed at another patron trying on a dress and said for the whole store to hear - "oh would you mind showing her the dress you have on, would you like to try that dress on? " .... I would not tell ANYONE to go here, I was in tears in the dressing room....I would not recommend this store to anyone, very discouraging, unpleasant experience. read more

bridal appointment from hell!! on 7/16/15 i had a scheduled 7:30pm bridal & bridal party appointment with david's bridal for myself and 2 of my 6 bridesmaids. i came fully prepared with the dress styles and images. i guess the employees and myself should have switched roles because they were not prepared. when i entered the front desk person was overwhelmed trying to help greet and direct guest and help a bride & her mother who were trying on gowns behind her. i explained that i had an appointment she then asked for my information but was not able to find me in the computer. i previously had come to this david's bridal to try on gowns alone and did not find what i was looking for. i decided to give it one more try with my bridal party and myself, epic fail! it took 10 minutes to discover that they had to start all over with my profile. she kept asking if i saved my items i wanted in my favorites & i kept explaining that i called customer service to book the appointment and no, i didn't pick favorites. i did however, come with the codes for the gowns and a printed copy of the dresses i was looking for. i am not sure if this location is under staffed but everyone was all over the place,unneat in appearance & unorganized. the store was not crowded yet there was no smooth transition. what was even more upsetting was the fact that none of the zac posen dresses from the website that clearly stated the dresses were in store were unavailable to try on (meaning not even in the store). my bridal gown choices & bridesmaid dress were not available to try on. my stylist was not knowledgeable about the pieces they carried, i felt like i carried the discussion about gowns verses her. this appointment was horrific and a waste of valuable time. as a result i will share this story with all social media, co-workers, my clients and future brides i encounter. i left frustrated and mislead. your sales reps need to keep in mind that the customer's time is precious and it's important to realize your are providing a service for one of the most important days of a person's life. brides don't waste your time at david's bridal, if you do make sure they have what you want for your appointment. following my appointment i shared the experience with my co-worker who told me she had a similar issue at this same location. she came in to browse and view gowns for her upcoming wedding and was told she can't browse. she was told she must view a catalog, and if she tried on gowns it could only be 5 gowns! i would love to know who manages this location because everyone needs reeducation or they need new staff that have a passion for bridal fashion, because you can tell that the workers are just working a j.o.b. & not into their line of work! signed, disgusted bride to be!!! read more

My overall experience at the store was ok. It is quite dirty and hectic, though you get what you pay for (I got a really nice dress for $250). My consultant was EXTREMELY friendly and professional and I would give her an A+ rating. However, they had her helping at least one other party while helping me, despite my having made an appointment. I was told that the appointments don't really mean anything, they just take people as they come in. I'm even ok with that, but then don't have me make an appointment! I'm only rating this place with one star, though, because of what they did with my phone number. I reluctantly gave it to them after being promised that they wouldn't use it for sales calls or give it to anyone else. I checked the box on the form to not be contacted for anything and also hand wrote that it shouldn't be used for sales calls or sold to another company. I only gave it to them so they could call me when my dress came in! You can guess where this is going... to make a very long story short, I have received dozens upon dozens of sales calls from David's Bridal, from their affiliates (photography services and the like), Mens Warehouse, as well as a couple seemingly unrelated wedding vendors who swear that they get their numbers from people who register on wedding sites or at bridal shows (neither of which I ever did), and not from David's Bridal. I have asked both nicely and then cursing to the people at the Springfield store, people at the 888 number that kept calling, the various other vendors, etc. for them to stop calling and remove my number from their lists. I'm always promised it won't happen again and yet surprise! ALL THE FREAKING TIME. I actually have to now CHANGE MY PHONE NUMBER now since it's obviously out there in wedding vendor land, all thanks to David's Bridal. I have had the same phone number for a decade and POOF! Just like that, David's Bridal forces me to get rid of it. Totally classless move from a totally classless store. Needless to say, I won't even think about having my alterations done there. read more

The worst and very unprofessional. No welcoming/ greeting. Terrible customer service. Went today to look for my brides dress there wasn't any available consultants so a scheduled appt is needed. Instead of informing me prior to signing in I overheard the front desk person tell another woman as she walked in. When asked why I didn't receive info, it was stated I didn't say I was a bride.. I immediately left and went to E Brunswick where it was fabulous. Greeting and wonderful consumer service. My consultant Stacy is awesome!!!! she helped me get the perfect dress for my day!!! This was the worse experience ever!!!!!!!!!! I never in my life wrote a review but I had to. Mind you I called in and told them I wanted someone with experience. The person I got looked like she just rolled out of bed. her white shirt was wrinkled, her hair wasn't done, and her over look was not presentable at all. It was my fitting for my bridesmaid, they didn't have any dress in stock that I wanted, she didn't make me feel like a bride or even my bridesmaid comfortable. I order the flower girl dresses and it was out of stock, she didn't show me another style to order I had top tell her to use her sales technique. I finally found a dress which I ordered. when my sales rep was buy with making our orders I ask other rep to help me since she was busy and the rep would shout and say your customer needs help. There wasn't a team atmosphere at all. I would never In my life go here, it was the worst experience ever. To every bride please do not go here try may another location. My experience at this David's bridal store 0023 was horrible. My first experience was terrible! They asked me briefly (that's putting it lightly) what I was looking for, went to the back pulled a bunch of dresses and shoved me in a dressing room. They really didn't pull anything I was looking for so my sister went to look for something and they yelled at her! Yes, yelled at her and told her she wasn't allowed to look for dresses it wasn't her job. The pulled the most expensive dresses they had without asking me what my prices range was. The women helping me didn't seem to want to be there. They put a dress on me that I really liked but never told me the price. When they told me the price I told them I wouldn't be buying the dress and a manager came over to try to convince me to take out a credit card. I told her no but that no wasn't enough because she tried over and over again to make me get a card! No means no! I left there pretty annoyed and defeated. I tried to be open minded and tried to reason with myself that everyone has a bad day so I actually went back to the store for a second time. I didn't know it could be possible but the second experience was worse that the first. The women who helped me the second time was unprofessional and that's putting it mildly. I explained to her my first experience there and my price range. This time she allowed me to walk with her while we both looked for dresses. We found a few to try on I tried on one and than she kind of disappeared. The manager then came into my dressing room and tried to convince me to get a David's bridal credit card I told her no but she refused to take no for an answer and try to convince me again to get one. When the women who was helping me came back she helped me try on the second dress and started to tell me how her manager in the back was yelling at her for not pulling the most expensive dresses and that if she didn't make the sale she was going to get written up again. They wanted her to make me try on more head pieces so she could sell the dress! She told me that she refused to do it because she knew I was in a price range and that they could fire her she didn't care because this wasn't the place for her anyway. I was so shocked that after my second dress I told her I was done for the day! I would NEVER recommend this store to anyone! Whoever runs this store need to clean shop and get new professions people. Karen Lee-Hamilton and Tahari to be exact. Don't remember the name of the women on the second visit but it started with an R. Renee maybe. But either way they need training! Thank God for Tia Matz in Whitehall PA at the David's bridal for helping me find the dress! You were professional and helpful and truly helped me forget about the horrible experience I had!
