    "I DO" believe this is the most chaotic place I've ever seen! Yes, I know it's the go to place for brides, but I was a pretty overwhelmed when I walked in with my friends to go bridesmaid dress shopping. I've seen amusement parks with less crowds. Taffeta, lace, satin, crinoline and tulle flying everywhere. Bells ringing, people clapping and cheering - was I at a boxing match? It was crazy. Or maybe we just came at a popular time but we could barely walk through the mayhem. We made our way to the back, away from the pandemonium, and found a little dressing nook for us to camp out while we searched for our garments. You've never seen so much fabric in your life! The girls and I tried on several gowns... sometimes one we liked didn't have everyone's size. After some diligent searching, much to our delight and surprise, we all found the perfect matching dresses for our bride's upcoming nuptials. The price for the dresses were very reasonable and they were also on sale! Checking out was much less hectic than coming in. It was a nerve-racking experience but we were relieved and thrilled to have accomplished our mission!

    If I could leave no stars I would. I held back tears during my appointment from the level of unprofessionalism and lack of attention from my consultant. My MOH booked my appointment a month out for Today (a Sunday) at 10:30 am. I assumed having an early appointment we could make the most of what was supposed to be a special day. My best friend and MOH drove from New Hampshire to take me on my first bridal dress appointment since my engagement last fall. We arrived happy, excited nervous and prepared. My appointment was at 10:30. The stored opened at 10:30 which was immediately a red flag seeing as with covid restrictions you're only allowed 1 hour and 5 dresses. There was a line and many other brides/wedding parties in the parking lot awaiting the store opening. When the door opened we were greeted by the store manager who immediately said, "good morning ladies, just want to let everyone know we are double booked today." Which was red flag number two. HOW THE HECK DO YOU DOUBLE BOOK CONSULTANTS WITH COVID RESTRICTIONS AND HOUR APPOINTMENTS !!!!???? The appointment was rushed. Took away the entire experience. Luckily we got in quick and met our consultant. I immediately gave the consultant the 4 skus I picked out from the website, I told her my wedding theme, budget for dress and shared the swatches for my bridal party dresses. While we waited for her to pull the dresses, she encouraged us to shop the floor. After about 20 min my room was ready. Red flag number 3 I had about 35 min to try on 5 dresses. The store was packed so never mind social distancing. The store was hot considering nerves, lack of seating, the amount of people inside and the weight and thickness of some of the dresses. I immediately sweat out my blow out in the fitting room which was cramped. I wasn't offered water. My consultant being doubled booked barely assisted. If it weren't for my MOH, I wouldn't have gotten zipped, or my dress clamped. The other appoint my consultant had was a bridesmaid who seemed to take up most of her time. In all honesty, I felt like I deserved more attention considering I'm a BRIDE on her first ever appointment. A bridesmaid appointment shouldn't have taken precedent over a bride. That's just common sense. My consultant couldn't do her job today. It was obvious my consultant dropped the ball because another consultant helping a girl next to me helped clamp and adjust the train of one of the dresses I was trying on. Every time I needed my consultant, she was no where to be found. I literally held back tears for my family who watched my appointment VIA zoom. I found one dress I loved. The consultant finally appeared and asked if we wanted to see a veil. We agreed and she brought one. While we were adjusting it I was too distracted by my hair being a mess, which I got done specifically for my appointment. I was sweaty and felt completely uncomfortable being in a $1300 dress in this condition. We requested clamps for support and to really see the shape of one and I was given these cheap dollar tree plastic pins you'd use to hang clothes. I had on one of the most expensive dresses in the store which was fairly heavy and beaded and the claps could not hold the dress so spent the entire time in the dress holding it up instead of standing in the mirror and taking it all in. The dress was strapless and slightly heavy, not to mentioned I am a well endowed woman so support is key. Again, awful service. Again, holding back tears of anger and frustration because now I had 10 min left for my appointment. Via zoom, my mom teared up which was reassuring the dress could be the one but under the stress and discomfort and frustration and lack of service, I WAS READY TO GO. The consultant had the nerve to ask me if I wanted to "ring the bell" and I looked at her like she was crazy and just said "no." As I was changing back into my clothing, my MOH went to speak to the manager. I walked to the front to meet her and speak to her as well. She was polite and apologetic but it did not feel genuine. She kept saying, "I want to make this right for you" and offered me 10% off. If you log on David's Bridal right now, they offer you a 10% coupon just for going to the site so I did not think it was a fair apology. I expressed my disappointment, explained my friend drove 11 hours to meet me for this appointment in Richmond (I drover over an hour from where I live in VA) and how today did not meet our expectations and the service was the worst we've ever experienced. I'm a first time bride. I've never been dress shopping until today. I was prepared and excited. I left in tears and feeling defeated. Today was already hard because my mom and grandma could not be with me in this moment but this appointment really sucked. I'm so upset. All my excitement diminished.

For context, the bride and other bridesmaids are based out of DC but I made a fitting appointment and ordered my dress from the Richmond location. At the time of my in store order, the consultant said that I was good to go and they'd call me when my dress arrived in Richmond. Fast forward almost 6 months later, after trying to track my dress down over the past two weeks (I received an email on 3/10 saying my order had arrived and they would be shipping them out to us the next day), the DC office said they had the dress and apologized for the mixup and told me to send them an I address so they could ship it to me, there was NO mention of an additional charge or that they would not ship the dress to another Bella location. Today, they informed me that it would be an additional $26.50 for them to ship the dress to my home address as they do NOT ship dresses between locations. It's absolutely ridiculous that this information was NEVER communicated to me at any point during this process and I will be highly discouraging my friends and family from using Bella in the future.

She got an absolutely gorgeous ring from them. I decided to look at their Instagram and fell in love with their gorgeous jewelry. Fast forward in time and I fell head over heels for their seafoam compass kite ring. My partner used to make maps and we've traveled/grown a lot together in the years we've been together and I loved the symbolism the ring had for me. We set up an engagement ring appointment earlier this year to try on different rings and get my ring size. We spent an hour learning all about engagement rings and drooling at all the stunning designs. I fell in love with so many rings that afternoon. Lexi, the specialist who helped us, was absolutely incredible. Her knowledge and kindness made the special experience 1000x even more special. I was so giddy and excited. And I felt like she shared and encouraged my excitement. I went back one other time to show my mom the rings and she loved them too. My now fiancé had a good experience with Emily Warden Designs. Do know that they won't melt down metals, but they can use stones from other rings. We were given his grandmother's engagement ring and the center diamond of my ring is now that stone. I love having a piece of her with me with the gorgeous design. My fiancé had to place a custom order to use the center stone, but told me it was an easy process. They say it takes 4-8 weeks to make it and he got it in 5 I believe. We went to school in Miami, so he proposed to me at the riverwalk where we had our first kiss. I love my ring so much. I also love Richmond so much. It's beyond special to have my engagement ring from a local Richmond jeweler. I highly recommend visiting this gorgeous store for your jewelry needs. They offer earrings, necklaces, bracelets, and more.
