Good experience with knowledgeable sales staff. I bought my wedding dress here---it was the 6th one I tried on and it looked gorgeous!! I asked for a variety of styles and they had them all available to try on (close to my size with pins, if not in my size). You should take a friend with you to help with the decisions. Also I went on a weeknight (so I didn't have an appointment) but the store was not busy and I think it helped that it was at 5 pm. The time of day makes a difference for how busy the store can be. Betria was very helpful to find my wedding dress. For a bride on a budget who likes lovely dresses for good value, David's is great to give you options to be gorgeous & save money. I had to order my sash and it came on time for the wedding. The alterations were a bit pricey at $100 but it's worth it to look your best on your wedding day. Great store!!! read more

First, this is a review from the perspective of buying a formal dress for a special occasion NOT from a bride or bridal party experience. I wasn't even going to go here as I saw a few terrible Google Reviews of poor customer service for this location. My daughter needed a formal gown that we were not able to find at Nordstroms, Belk, or Dillards. Our shopping time was on a Monday morning around 11:30am. We first went to J. Majors Bridal Boutique at 2400 Park Road. As soon as the Sales clerk learned that we were not a bride or part of a bridal party, we were immediately left alone. We then headed to NYBride at 4618 South Blvd and pretty much received the same treatment. Both were rated highly by bride and bridal party so I believe that their Sales Associates were instructed to focus only on those customers as a revenue potential is much higher with that group than someone buying a special occasion dress. Since our experience with customer service have been pretty atrocious with both stores, I decided that why not go to David's Bridal. We were pleasantly surprised while we were browsing the very well stocked store when 3 different Sale Associates approached us to offer their help. Once we found dresses that my daughter wanted to try on, a Sales Associate named Shakira promptly escorted us to the dressing room. Eventhough she was also helping 2 other customers, I was able to get her attention 4 different times to ask questions and get help from Alteration staff. I felt that the service that I received was attentive and I would definitely go back here if I ever need a special occasion dress again. Thank you Shakira for your outstanding service while we were there! read more

Made an appointment earlier this week to go look for a bridesmaid dress. My appointment time was for 1:30 pm and my friend and I showed up at 1:15. As soon as you walk in there is just so much chaos. We wait in the check in/greeting line for about 5 minutes then once we get to the desk we are only acknowledged by a woman who says "we'll be with you in one minute" no worries - it's busy so I understand. While we are waiting we see and hear everything going on... an associate approached the woman at the desk to say they ran out of fitting rooms. They were shuffling through stacks of appointment forms trying to figure out who was here and who was still waiting. After 10 minutes of seeing all of this I wasn't very confident in the experience I was going to have... the lady at the desk finally returns to me and asks what I'm here for. I tell her a bridesmaid dress. She then walks my friend and I over to the racks and tells us to pick out things we like then she'll explain later. Vague but whatever. So we start looking through the styles. The racks were so messy and unorganized. I felt like I was Black Friday shopping because there was absolute chaos surrounding us. We find a few styles we like and don't know what to do next. We go to the front desk area and the circle of guests surrounding had doubled since we arrived. We ended up approaching an associate in the fitting room area. Her name was Michaela and she was the only good part about my experience here today. Michaela gave me a room and told me she'd come by to check on me throughout and take the "no" dresses away so I wouldn't have a cluttered room. She was constantly checking in on me and making sure I didn't need help or any other sizes. She was very attentive while still getting the job done! After trying on a few dresses I narrowed down to 2. She looked them up in the computer system and told me only 1 of them would be available in time for the wedding (shipping arrival date was 10 days before the wedding). No worries. I didn't order at the store because I wanted to make sure the bride approved before I ordered it. After going home I went online to order the dress and the shipping arrival date is 2 weeks from today. I ended up ordering the dress that I tried on in store and have peace of mind knowing that I will have time to get it altered. Definitely wouldn't return as my anxiety was on high the whole time just due to the chaos surrounding. Very unorganized but michaela was incredibly helpful. read more

BEST EXPERIENCE EVER! I was engaged back in June of 2013.. came out to David's Bridal with a good friend to get dress trying "out of the way" for the first time (I had 4 boutique places set up, afterwards). To sum it up, after trying on 8 or so dresses, I ended up buying the dress, and cancelling the other appointments. (I even had another appointment at another David's Bridal set up with my sisters, so they could say "YES" to the same dress - they just didn't know I had already purchased it!) Sales people were PHENOMENAL as were the fittings / alterations! I am taller, and had to buy a size 2 dress, and get it taken in a bit, for the body, but it was still WAY cheaper than I would have imagined! It fits like a glove!! - and thank you for being honest about alterations, etc!!! I felt NO PRESSURE when buying the dress. I still almost tear up when I think of the dress I bought, combined with the no pressure (but felt like I was the only person there - going middle of the week helped), and would suggest this place to anyone!! THANK YOU DAVID'S BRIDAL FOR MAKING MY DRESS AND EXPERIENCE SO SPECIAL!!!! I NEVER would have thought I would have purchased my wedding dress from DB!!! read more

I LOVED my experience at David's Bridal in Pineville. My mom and I went in just to take a peek at some dresses and get an idea of what styles might look good on my POST COVID body(20+ lbs gained). Our consultant Michaela was INCREDIBLE. She was sweet, fun, complimentary and honest. I trusted her immediately and she made the experience EXTRA special!!!! I would recommend requesting Michaela if you plan to visit this location. You will NOT regret it! She might make you tear up a few times though, in a good way. I have a really bad experience here in 2008. But I'm truly surprise how things have change! My best friend is getting marry. She have no idea what type of styles or anything about the dresses that she wants. So I mentioned to look at David's Bridal. It's have a vary of sizes, styles and budget. BUT MAKE SURE YOU SET AN APPOINTMENT. They will be rude to you if you don't even tho they will still serves you! Our appt was Sunday, May 15 at 1pm. We arrived at 12:40pm. Greeted by a gentleman by the door. He wasn't very friendly, short answer and look at us like we are inconveniencing him. He checked us in, but said nothing else. We were left standing there like we're lost. Wondering around, not quite sure what to do with ourselves. Find a really nice gentleman greeted us exactly at 1pm. He mentioned to Robin that it will take him another 5 mins to pull at the dresses she was interested in from the website. The ones she marked as favorites. After that, everything went smoothly. He was a doll. Added the right accessories. Help her in and out of her dresses. I took the pics, etc. pointed out different details to the dress that we didn't notice before. Overall, she's in love. And we love the guy that help us with the dresses. But definitely NOT that gentleman at the front. When we getting ready to leave. He still have that same face. Whoever puts him there, they need to switch him out with a friendlier version! read more

Went here and of course had the worst experience getting my bridesmaid dress. I told the lady at the desk the bride's name. She wrote down on a paper what dress, shoes, and sizes I needed and handed the paper to Eboni who then took it and asked me what dress i needed. I tried to describe it to her (even though the other lady had written it down) she finally found it and asked what size (even though that was on the paper, too) then we finally got back to the dressing room and AGAIN she asked me what size shoe i needed, and that was also on the paper. Anyway, I tried the dress and shoes on, came out to look in the mirror and eboni was standing there watching some bride try on a dress from afar i looked at her and told her these sizes were good. She didn't even acknowledge that I spoke to her, or even that i was out of the dressing room. When i changed back into my clothes and came out she was no where to be found. then i went to the register and she asked if i wanted to get those..and i of course said yes. And then she asked me AGAIN what size everything was, even though she was HOLDING IT! She even asked me if the Bride got her dress there, and when i responed yes, I didn't even get the discounts i was supposed to (I didn't initally know about the discounts until I later talked to the Bride) After I got home, I called to complain about my experience and they said when I come in they will give me my discount. This is the most unknowledgeable and unattentative staff I have come in contact with. I will absolutely NOT get my wedding gown there. Stick to a boutique if you want real customer service. read more

First experience at Davids Bridal and it was not pleasant. As an event planner and the maid of honor for my best friend wedding. I planned and booked an appointment for her to try on dresses at Davids Bridal in Pineville. When we arrived at 1:45p for our 2pm appointment there was no one at the door to provide direction or to check us in. We kindly walked over to the check out area for assistance. There was a lady with blonde hair to her shoulders and fairly skinny had this uncomfortable look on her face. Instead of asking how she could help us she just starred uncomfortably. There was another lady also behind the counter and she also approach us at the smile time with a delight look greeting and asking how she could help. I explained that I booked an appointment for my friend Stefanny for a consolation today. And we wanted to get her checked in. The blonde lady then says with her nose snared upward, " this is checkout you need to go to the check in area over there." Then the other lady says VERY NICELY and with a smile in sorry, yes the check in is there and I apologize no one was there when you arrived but I'll send someone right over. Then up walks a lady with brown curled hair in which I now know her name is Jessica. I provided my name as I booked the appointment for my friend Stefanny. She pulled out the form and slammed it on the counter. Stefanny looked at me like "ok what's going on here, this is no longer fun or a great experience." I told her to just remain calm they are busy I guess. So as we looked at the paper I realized that I must have filled the information in wrong online. So I shared that with Jessica and that's when things became worse! She snatched the paper off the counter and crumbled it up and throw it into the trash VERY VERY RUDE! I was applaud! Stefanny looked at me with shock in her face, and I told her I was so very sorry that I put the wrong information in. She said it's ok love if it weren't for you I would have a appointment today or this experience with my family and you. Then the lady slaps down another piece of paper that was blank that we could fill out correctly. At this point we were SO READY TO GO! But I did not want to allow the devil to ruin my friends day. And we really needed to find her a dress. After the information was filled out another lady came to the counter Annette. She was very kind and provided with with her coworkers name. I wrote it down on a Davids Bridal card and plan to also provide customer service and their district manager with Themis awful customer service we received from their Pineville location. And they wonder why they have a 2.8 rating in Google and 3.5 stars on yelp. read more

After reading some reviews I was sceptical of what my experience would be like, but I am happy to announce everything went wonderfully. I went prom dress shopping/browsing just to see what I liked, how they fit, etc. I went to south park mall and that was an absolute bust. So my mother and I decided to give David's bridal a shot just for kicks. We went in around 5:45 and came out before 6:30. When we arrived we were greeted by a very nice woman whom I believe is Jessica, as soon as we walked in I saw the dress that was for me. She simply said I'd have to sign in and then I was free to browse and try on dresses as I pleased. I didn't have an appointment because it was on a whim but the staff was kind enough to help me with the fitting room. After trying on the first dress I was in love but wanted to try at least two more for variety reasons. But alas I went back to the same first dress. I was so excited and the women and staff even complimented me. The pricing wasn't as horrid as I thought it would be. Jessica was very kind and talk me through the payment and things like that, I was definitely happy with my visit and I definitely will be back next year for my senior prom dress!!! read more

This location has awful reviews on Google. Just awful... I was nervous going in but I received better service here than at the one across town by Northlake. David's normally doesn't carry anything in my size but the ladies here heard me out and understood that I had spoken to the bride and had gotten the okay to get a dress other than the one she had registered us for. I really appreciate that none of them suggested that I "eat more" or buy a dress that is too large and get it cut down - as though either of those are viable options. They took really good care of me, I was in & out in about half an hour. This includes trying the dress i wanted in the smallest size they had on hand (2) and having their alterations lady drop what she was doing and come pin me up to confirm that it was indeed too big. And I didn't have to fight traffic. Win. read more

I am in the process of planning my wedding and have visited and called David's Bridal on several occasions. Each time the customer service has been exceptional. Even though I did not buy my ceremony dress from here I showed the workers a pic of my dress and they suggested jewelry and shoes that would compliment my dress. In addition they were very accommodating in helping my bridesmaids find their heels and allowed them to order over the phone and placed them on hold. When looking for my reception dress, I called and asked them to check the system for several items that I viewed online. (It had to be about 6 items) They were very helpful and patient. Overall this location is way better than the location in Northlake. They are more professional, helpful, clean and patient. If David's Bridal carried a larger inventory including the online items I would score higher. David's Bridal is designed for a more traditional bride. However, the new Terani Couture and Zak Posten line appeals to a younger and/or more fashion forward bride. read more

Depending on how you like to shop, this is either a plus or a minus. Personally, I'd prefer everything sorted primarily by size, though I can see the appeal of the color-block approach. I say "mostly" by size because, despite having size dividers, items still felt randomly scattered across the racks in a lot of cases. You can definitely stumble across some good finds here, but it's by no means a cheap shopping experience overall. Most of the discounted items fall into the $40-$50 range--though to be fair, the original MSRPs on a lot of these pieces were pretty ludicrous to start with. The biggest drawback, in my opinion, is the complete lack of any fitting rooms. Given the price point of the clothing and their strict no-return policy, this is a major hassle. If you plan to shop here, make sure you dress appropriately in advance so you can try items on over top of what you're wearing. Overall, you can probably find some great stuff, but you have to be prepared for the experience.

The blouses had to be redone three times and finally taken to a completely different seamstress in order to be wearable. For my 17 year old sister she created a see-through back for a blouse which showed off her bra. This was after Ritu was told that this outfit was for a 17 year old girl who comes from a Conservative Christian background. I do not understand why she made see through clothing for a child, after she was specifically told that we did not want any see through clothing. After we told Rita our concerns she brushed It Off and told us that we were actually wrong. She told us that she was a designer and that she knew best. We attempted to work with her several more times without getting the results that we needed. And honestly her designs were ugly and not color matching to the sarees that we had given her. After I couldn't take it anymore I had several words with her in the store. It was a heated exchange. Instead of being a professional business owner she decided to contact my mother telling her that I had acted inappropriately at her store. I am a grown woman and I do not need to have a business owner contact my mommy for my behavior. I do not know of any respectable business owner who has ever done that. On top of that, in a subsequent phone call that was also extremely heated, her husband got on the phone and begin to tell me off. She also claimed that I could not say anything to her because I was younger to her. Well honey I have some news for you, welcome to doing business in America. It does not matter that I am younger to you. What matters is that you charged me an insane amount of money to make ugly, unwearable blouses. Almost $200 for two blouses. And instead of listening to what the customer wanted you insisted that you were right. You did not provide the customer with what you promised for almost $200. I have never in my life worked with a business owner who has been so incredibly unprofessional, condescending, disrespectful, rude, arrogant, prideful, and difficult. There is much much more to the sto hiry but this is all I can type. I would never encourage any person in Charlotte to conduct any sort of business with Ritu. She did refund all of our money. But that doesn't change the stress that she put us through. We also had to find a second seamstress very quickly and pay her a rush fee in order to make the clothes wearable for our function. The function was for my engagement ceremony, the blouse was for my sister and my mother. In response to the owners rebuttal: your workmanship was still shoddy and unacceptable. The blouse was beginning to tear after one use and it simply didn't even match the saree or what we asked for multiple times. A see through back for a minor child is unacceptable. I used bad language yes, and I don't regret it because you are impossible to work with. Anyone who wants to do business with this woman, go ahead, but don't say I didn't warn you first. We also have the entire exchange recorded as well as the phone conversation where her husband yelled at me.

First of all, she has no sense of professionalism and is very rude and doesn't seem like a great person. Ritu left chalk marks on outfits for a bride, for their family members, and the quality of her fabric is very cheap for the prices she charges. Trust me, you can get much better quality, designs, fitting, and style from someone else. It is simple to find someone in India who can make custom outfits versus deal with Ritu. Ritu did not deliver clothing in a timely manner, which causes IMMENSE stress for my friend and her family members because her wedding was the next day. Imagine, not having a certain piece of your wedding outfit the day before your wedding, how stressful!!! If I could give her 0 stars, I would. Sizing. Ritu claimed she measured correctly however all outfits were too tight or too loose for these 2 friends. She blamed it on the client saying they lost weight or gained weight. How insensitive. Overall, I don't want this review to get too long but I would NOT use her, you are better off buying clothing online from places such as Kalki fashion or finding a tailor in India. DO NOT make the mistake of using Ritu Selects. She is overpriced and an awful person. The "excellent" reviews are probably friends and family writing reviews for her. DO NOT use Ritu Selects

I feel sad for any brides who have had a negative experience here...I intentionally booked a Monday night appointment (7:30pm) through the Carolina Bridal Fair (Cabarrus Arena), for a $50 off a dress coupon. My mother and I arrived early to make sure we didn't get lost, so we were able to browse on our own for a bit...at first I was nervous, since many of the dresses I saw were either not what I was looking for or out of my price range. Of any dresses I'd selected as favorites on the app, only one was in store. When it was time for my appointment, Shanice was my associate, and despite the late time, she did not rush me in ANY way. She used my selections from the app to find similar designs, and somehow I realized that I in fact did want sleeves (tough to find gowns with them that aren't way more expensive, I wanted to stay around $500 and definitely no more than $1000), so she was able to find some that I really liked and that flattered me. She was great at what she did, super patient and friendly. I felt comfortable in her care. I found my dream dress only a few tries in, but she offered to let me try a few dresses out of my price range anyhow just in case I fell in love with one of them and wanted to arrange payment plans if needed; she didn't try to sway me too hard towards them, though. Ultimately I wound up with a v-neck, 3/4 sleeve, lacy with some light beading, soft white gorgeous gown and I can't wait to marry my best friend in it. My experience was wonderful here...I honestly did not expect to make a purchase because I'm not getting married until next year and I honestly was just a bit tired/cranky, but once the gown undergarments went on, it got real! The rest of the experience was a pleasure. Thanks again to Shanice for the fantastic service! read more

Purchasing a dress for a special occasion is exciting and sometimes excruciating. For me, the thought of buying a dress was excruciating. My only daughter is getting married in 14 days and I had yet to find a dress to fit my short and newly rounded body. To be over 50 yrs and look a bit pregnant ( I am not pregnant) is a tough body to fit in a MOB dress. However, after 7 stores and hours of shopping I decided to visit the Pineville David's Bridal as my last resort. Exhausted and frustrated I walked in and just spurted out of my mouth exactly what I wanted. Samantha, a wonderful young woman with a smile and attitude, got right to work. She remained calm and positive which is exactly what I needed. Samantha pushed me to think out of my normal size 8 box into a size 16 and beautiful. After approximately 8-10 dresses of what I thought was what I wanted, Samantha again encouraged me to try on "one more dress". As I looked in the mirror and saw a beautiful woman standing there looking surprised and radiant...tears began to role down my face. Yes, this is the dress I will wear to my precious daughter's marriage to the love of her life...and I will feel beautiful. Thank you to my oldest son for his hours and patience as he accompanied me from store to store. He and Samantha are my dress experts 4-ever. ASK FOR SAMANTHA and tell her Rhonda jane sent you. You won't regret it. read more

I have a very short engagement and went into Davids Bridal to start getting an idea for a dress. The dresses in my price range were beautiful, but could be considered a bridesmaid dress as well. The woman helping me, Elizabeth (Liz) respected my decision for my price range and brought me several options. She accommodated to my every need! It was taking me so long that even though her next appointment came in, she continued to help me and did not make me feel rushed at all. I had found a dress I liked well enough (one that could be a bridesmaid dress) but asked Liz to bring me one outside of my price range. She brought one out that was on sale and the most beautiful dress I have ever seen! I ended up walking out of the store with my dress that day. If it weren't for Liz (and my maid of honor) I wouldn't have found a gown that beautiful in that short of a time frame. On a side note, all of the employees were very sweet and helpful. I am so grateful for my experience and as I too work retail, you couldn't ask for better customer service. Thank you! read more

I don't even know where to begin. My appointments on 7/14/2015 were perfection. Ashley was absolutely amazing! I was really nervous going into my bridal appointment. Like every other woman on the planet, I realized a little too late that I probably should've hit the gym hardcore in the beginning of my engagement versus the near end. Ashley had no issues pulling dresses from my favorites and from their selection that she believed would work best for me and my body type. Once the dress was on, she wasn't afraid to be honest. ("You look beautiful in this dress. It accentuates this..." or "This dress just doesn't sit right like it should...let's try a new style") I appreciated all of her candor. She made the trip fun and best of all, comfortable! If you're planning a trip to David's Bridal anytime soon - I highly recommend you schedule her. Not only did I find the dress of my dreams, I was able to decide on all my accessories, bridesmaid dresses, and mother-of-the-bride attire with her guidance. I will be forever indebted to her. read more

So. I'm getting married on September 29th. I was planning on getting my entire wedding party (10) my mother's dress, my fiance's mother's dress, his tux, and my dress all at David's Bridal. Yesterday, I tried to call two local stores in Charlotte. Pineville didn't even answer. Mind you, I called several times for several hours. I THEN called North Lake (I'm persistent and wanted a wide selection). First, I called and was put on hold for 30 minutes. I was driving so I waited - never got back to me. Then I called back later - someone picked up the phone and hung it up. This is all before I even visited the store. So - not going with David's Bridal. Also - I tried to cancel my appointments. Your online platform won't allow me to find my appointment again. I would call to cancel but no one would answer the phone. So I guess I'll be a no show. Horrible service! read more

I want to give a huge thanks and hug to Jonathon who was my stylist. I explained to him my sister is getting Married in 3 weeks due to her Beast cancer. I needed a a dress that she would like, fit and be altered in time. He was extremely patient, and understanding. I never felt rushed as he gave his undivided attention to me. He found the perfect dress and was able to have it customized by suggesting we add a different color satin sash to the waist. It truly made all the difference. He is a God send! Thanks so much! I took a 12:00 appointment on a holiday and I assumed it would be busy, but I was pleasantly surprised at how personal everyone was. The person working with me was Dawn. She worked patiently with me and allowed me to take as much time as I wanted to take pictures and call people and ask questions.
