I went into the David's Bridal today 2/7/15 and was helped by a wonderful young lady named Jessica. She assisted me in finding dresses I had saved to my favorites from the website. She took them and me to the dressing room where she set me up to try th on. She asked if I wanted to try them on with a corset bra and got that for me and after I said the dress looked funny with me in my socks so she offered to get me a pair of heels to try on with the dresses. It really made the dresses look much better. She exchanged one dress for a better size for me. She helped my husband and myself pick out a beautiful mother of the bride dress for me. She then helped me find a different style shoe and arranged for them to be dyed to match the dress. Check out went very smoothly and I was excited to find out the dress was more than half off and the shoes were also on sale. I also got a shutterfly gift card. All in all my experience with Jessica and this David's Bridal was wonderful. I had told Jessica that I was in the one in Slidell, LA last Sunday and really disliked that whole experience. The girl there was not helpful at all and never offered undergarments or shoes to complete the look. I am so glad I got meet and work with Jessica. I came over from Gulfport, MS and it is closer to go to Slidell but I would recommend anyone coming from my area to drive the 20 or so extra miles and go to Mobile, you will be glad you did. They were also so much busier but still their service was so much better. Than you Jessica for all your help, I had a really good time and my husband even enjoyed himself. read more

Just a few weeks ago, my daughter, her friend and I went in for an appt. We were greeted with smiles and made to feel like we were stars. Once my daughter started trying on dresses it was filled with fun and laughter what a great memorable experience. Then my daughter got a text from her dad my ex. My daughter wanted so bad to say "YES" to the dress but was instead on the floor crying in the dressing room. Without going into detail, the ladies of David's Bridal, the assistant manager Sharmaine Dock-Kyles and Doris Thornton the alterations manager saw what was happening. I did not know what to do or how to handle the situation because of emotions running so high. These two ladies instantly handled the situation with kindness, professionalism and tack as ladies due as not to cause any embarrassment for any us. Mrs. Sharmaine made a few suggestions discreetly while Mrs. Doris got my daughters attention to something else. My daughter got to say "YES" to the dress and ring the bell. Without these two ladies our experience could and would have been much worse. When we returned for the fitting of the dress the dad was there. Once again, these ladies made an uncomfortable situation as pleasant and professional as possible. I would like to say thank you to these ladies and David's Bridal. I only hope that David's Bridal, knows how valuable and wonderful these two are. They are an asset for anyone using David's Bridal. I had Sarah Lightsey as my associate, and I cannot say more positive things about this experience. I had looked at a TON of dresses- online, in person- but I couldn't commit to the prices. And let me tell you- Sarah got me. You're supposed to get an hour for your appointment, but Sarah made sure I found the perfect dress for me- and that took time (we went over past close but I didn't even realize because there was zero pressure from her to finish up). I told her my price range and she pulled most of the dresses herself. She was honest and I didn't feel pressure once to go above my budget or buy a dress from Davids. I spent less than $400 but honestly, I feel just as comfortable and beautiful in it as the $1700 dresses I've been eyeing from around the stores. Everyone was kind and accommodating. The only complaint I have was that my sleeves (which were a fantastic suggestion as an addition from Sarah) came in two weeks late, so my final alteration was pushed back, but they called me immediately to tell me and worked around whatever time I had available to get me the next closest appointment. I don't know if I would've had the same experience with any other floor rep there, so if you're looking for someone to really listen to what you want and go above and beyond to find fit your style (and budget!), go to Sarah. I've had a wonderful experience every time I have visited this location. My very first consultant helped me decide exactly what style I want - opposite what I previously imagined. I was unable to use the same consultant the next time, but she was just as wonderful. She helped me in trying on two dresses multiple times until I decided which dress was mine! The entire staff made me feel like a princess as I rang the bell and said yes to the dress! The same day I picked my dress, the consultants helped my bridesmaids pick theirs. They felt extremely comfortable working with the ladies. They helped us to pick the dresses for each body type and were never judgmental. They even made suggestions for what would look best on who and my girls ended up purchasing these dresses! I have been twice after that to pick up parts of orders and everyone has been so welcoming! Most have remembered me by name or at least by some trait related to my wedding - even consultants that I only spoke to as they congratulated me on saying yes to the dress. It really personalized the experience. I would recommend this davids bridal location over any other bridal store in mobile. I absolutely adore Sharmaine and the other consultants that have helped me. I look forward to working with David's Bridal between now and my wedding date and for all future gown needs. read more

This place is awesome ! I came here to check out what kind of Mardi gras ball gowns that David's had. I wasn't really planing on purchasing that day but still I was given good costumer service. Ashley- the VERY young woman that works there assisted me. I informed her that I was just looking around... She asked if I would like a dressing room in case I found something I wanted to try on. Then she directed me to some fabulous dresses . I'm so happy she held a dressing room for me on that busy day because I more than likely would have walked out from confusion . I told her I didn't want to waste any of her time just trying on dresses because I know that these employes work off commission- (former avon consultant). Thus telling her this these were her exact words "Not possible, I'll only be wasting your time if I'm not providing you with the best costumer service." That is the reason why I'm writing this good review. Ashley was very patient, welcoming and so cute. I ended up buying a dress that day and all of my friends loved it. I don't believe I can put all of my excitement in a single post, but I will do my best! My mother and I walked in David's Bridal with nothing more than intent on looking at dresses. I told the young lady what I was looking for and the third dress was the charm. All of the ladies made me feel so wonderful and that meant a lot because I had been nothing but stressed. Sharmaine knew i was planning a wedding in less than three months and kept reassuring me that they could have my dress ready on time. Needless to say she kept her word because I had it back from alterations in less than three weeks! The staff makes every little detail memorable from picking out my dress down to the nitty gritty on alterations... I mean who else can make alterations fun? I would wholeheartedly recommend David's Bridal to anyone getting ready for their special day. I promised Mrs. Sharmaine that I would send some photos of our wedding to the store since they have had such a huge part in making my wedding perfect. I am surprised to see so many negative reviews on here! I bought my gown on my second visit to this store, and have been a total of 4 times to look at dresses and colors for me and my bridesmaids. My wedding party is spread across the country, and we chose David's because everyone has access to a store. I have experienced nothing but professional and friendly customer service. The manager Sharmaine has been there each time, and always took time to check on me and make sure that I had everything I needed (and actually remembered me!) The store has been busy each time I visited because of people that didn't make appointments, and there were not enough consultants to go around. Nevertheless, everyone I met worked very hard to give everyone attention and maintained a cheerful and helpful attitude. I can't comment on shipping, but my dress came in ahead of schedule only a month after I bought it. None of the previous reviews matched my experience, so I wanted to add my two cents. read more

THUMBS UP! I came in with my daughter looking for a mother's of the bride dress. This young lady working there named Ashley approached us with so much warmth. She was a ball of energy and excitement and made the whole idea of trying on dresses fun. Should told me I can pick out the dresses I like and shell pick some for me as well. Now I will be honest... I couldn't find anything that I loved on me. I hated my choices, but then Ashley brought to me this black Vera Wang dress and it flattered every curved and booty on me . my daughter and I immediately purchased the dress. That young girl has such great taste that I came back the next day looking for a dress for my grand daughter. David's bridal is such a fun place with bells ringing and great prices. Ashley was such a sweet heart and adorable...anyone looking for a dress I suggest her. Far exceeded my expectations. Absolutely everyone in the store could not have been nicer or more helpful. I was so concerned that I would never be able to find a dress within my budget that I could be excited about, but Candace was able to put together the bridal gown of my dreams! She was completely understanding and non-judgmental regarding my budget and was determined to not let that prevent me from finding the perfect dress. After a few descriptions of what I was looking for, she knew exactly what to pull from the rack. She set up an area right next to the mirrors for my family to sit while she helped me try each dress on. She then worked to accessorize the dresses. She has excellent taste and knew just what to pair with them! She was also extremely patient and a lot of fun to work with. My experience at David's Bridal has transformed my opinion about the "big company wedding" stores. I was not expecting to get the amazing customer service I have received at both the Layton, Utah and the Mobile, AL store. Everyone has been extremely helpful, patient, and kind. A special thank you to Charmaine, the Store Manager. The moment I went in the store- to buy gift cards.... not even my gown (I purchased my gown at a David's Bridal in Utah), Ms. Charmaine was welcoming, had great knowledge of the product, and she constantly expressed a positive attitude. Each time I go into the Mobile, AL David's Bridal Store it makes me more excited about getting married. Every single employee in the store acknowledges that I am there, says hello, asks if I have been helped, etc. I always leave happy! Brides to Be.... What a WONDERFUL experience!!! This was my first time coming to this David's Bridal location. From the very first moment my aunt & I walked up to the front doors we were greeted & shown straight inside! I was paired with a very kind lady by the name of Maya. I told her exactly what my interests were and what I was looking for and she was on top of everything! She pulled dresses out that were to die for! She was kind, funny, not pushy and down to earth. I'm SO blessed I was matched with someone that actually cares about the person and NOT the sale. Also the assistant manger, Sharmaine was so very helpful, kind, and easy to get along with. Blessed to have them both help me out. At the end of the day I ended up getting the dress of my dreams. I had a terrific experience and I wouldn't change it for the world! I'm shocked by all the negative reviews ! I had nothing but a positive experience. I went in looking for a prom dress and came out with the most beautiful dress and a smile on my face. The lady helping me was so nice. She helped me out amazingly. I picked two dresses off the racks to try on and she helped me zip them up and hook everything. She also gave me opinions and helped me pick out the dress. She then noticed the hook on a dress I wanted to get was dangling so she went to the back and fixed it right away and ironed the dress and got all the wrinkles out for me. We had a laugh about kids and growing up and she was overall very nice. The atmosphere was beautiful and it was clean. Everyone else there seemed lovely too. 5 stars from me ! Arrived without apt. and could not be seen right away. They said to look around and they would hold anything for a later apt. We came back at 2:00pm and they promptly brought us the dresses we had on hold. "Sonja" was the associate who helped us. She was friendly and responsive to our needs. After trying on the three dresses we had held, Sonja recommended another dress based upon my niece's preferences. The dress she brought out was beautiful, and my niece immediately chose that dress. Sonja proceeded to help my niece with shoes, veil, undergarments, garter and bridesmaid dresses. The Assistant Store Manager, Sharmaine, was also very helpful and gave us an additional discount on the dress. Everyone was very professional and helpful at this store and they made a potentially stressful visit very pleasurable! read more

I never post on these sites about my experiences because I never feel moved to do so. Well my experience at David's bridal was beyond what I expected. I wasn't one of those brides that needed to try on every dress in the store, I knew what I wanted and my lovely guide Jasmine took me right to it. I was so afraid I was going to walk in this shop and have a bad experience, but it was just the opposite. I read googles reviews on DB before my appointment so I did not know what to expect. It was really a tv moment and Jasmine made me feel so comfortable! She never got impatient and always had a smile on her face. Sonja was absolutely amazing. I told her my budget and my vision and she got it right with the first gown she selected for me. I tried it on and I was overwhelmed with emotion, the giwn was beautiful and I looked and felt beautiful in it. She selected additional gowns so I could have options, but I was already in love with the original choice. I am not easy to please and I have the potential to be a real Bridezilla. Sonja was just what I needed. She was even able to select the bridesmaids gowns that were a perfect compliment to the style and details of my gowns. The entire staff at David's Bridal was so friendly and helpful. Jasmine was very knowledgable about fashion and took time to explain what a blusher symbolizes. I love interesting facts like that! Another staffer walked by saw my dress and said, we have the perfect veil for your dress. She was so right! I never even considered a veil. I was going to go with a birdcage. Another staffer offered some helpful hints about how to walk in the dress, hair tips, even how to zip the bag so that it doesn't catch on the dress. When I left the store, I felt confident that I had the perfect dress, the perfect veil, the right under garments, and the knowledge to make my special day perfect! I was ***very*** hesitant going into David's Bridal because I imagined that I would not want a dress from what I thought was a very commercialized place. The services I have so far received from Melissa (our personal helper), (managing staff of) Ms. Yasmine and Ms. Sharmaine far exceeded my expectations. Melissa was very patient and honest with me. The price of my dress was under my budget which was a great added bonus. I returned a second time with bridal party in tow for bridesmaid dresses. Again, I was grateful for the services rendered. These ladies were so helpful! My consultant was Beth and she was amazing! I am from Pensacola and would travel all the way over here to have her help me again. She helped me find the dress of my dreams! I come from a very open and honest family and she helped me find a dress that flattered my figure honestly. I greatly appreciate that. The manager there was also very helpful. They were both helping me work out whatever we could get in my budget. I had a great experience with this location today. I did a bridal appointment, as well as a bridal party appointment (so me plus 8 bridesmaids!) My consultant was Stephanie and she was amazing. I was being so indecisive between 2 dresses and she was so kind and patient with me. They were busy today but you'd hardly even know it because they were very well organized. She knew my style better than I did, because when I got there I had no idea what I wanted to even try on.
