I went with my good friend for her bridal appointment, and unfortunately our experience was disappointing. Our consultant, Emma, was not very attentive and seemed overwhelmed. She was double-booked with another party, which resulted in very limited attention and support. She checked on us infrequently and only pulled one dress for my friend during the entire appointment. It felt like we were treated as a secondary priority, and the dressing area was also quite busy and disorganized. For such a meaningful appointment, we expected a more personalized and supportive experience. Overall, it was not what we hoped for. read more

I went here with my good friend for her first time trying on wedding dresses and having been through this process earlier this year, I was extremely disappointed in the service she received. First off, she was never even measured, only asked about her pant size and every dress brought for her was consistently too big. The associate working with us was double booked with another party therefore, she was not very attentive and we received minimal help picking out dresses and no help for my friend getting in and out of them. It was very busy and at one point, we had a big group of people walking right in front of us blocking our view. The associate seemed overwhelmed and did not seem to care whether my friend found her perfect dress or not. The selection was not great - a lot of dresses seemed to have the same silhouette and there wasn't a ton of variety. Sadly would not recommend. read more

Completely changed the entire wedding ordering 4 wrong dresses out of 8 and leaving us no time to fix this issue. Was made promises by different managers that none of them knew about so clearly a lack of communication. They stated the reason the mess up was made was because they had someone working with my fiance that was only there for a week! LOL. After offering us a bullshit discount they wacked me on a dress alteration that was promised to be free and when I made that claim the manager on duty became argumentative and tried to eye me down as a scare tactic maybe? Absolutely unsatisfied with this joke of an establishment. Changed our entire day and don't seem to give a shit about THEIR mess ups. If I could give zero stars, I would! If you are a bride-to-be congratulations. Do yourself a favor and under no circumstances go to David's Bridal. Both the 28th St or Grandville locations are competent or helpful. Just trying to save you tears, fears and everything in between. This company almost ruined my wedding due to their consistent stupidity with my now wife's dress. Almost a year to only get the run around and she got it a week before our wedding. And we still have alterations that were botched or not done. read more

This was one of the most bizarre and probably one of the worst customer service experiences I've had. I came in for an appointment to try on bridesmaid dresses and was shown by the person at the front desk where the racks were for the style the grooms had selected. I was also told a stylist would come find me shortly. I went through the racks, which were very poorly organized. Instead of being sorted by size, they were haphazardly arranged somewhat by color but otherwise randomly. It was a nuisance trying to find the size for each dress, especially for a shorter person, since the tags were so high off the ground. My arm started tiring from having to reach up each time to grab the size tags. Many of the dresses were ripped, stomped on, or missing buttons or hooks. You could tell they hadn't been pressed in ages. I get it, sort of, during a pandemic with short staffing, but it was still gross to be around. By the time I finish looking and have grabbed 5 dresses, no stylist has approached me, so I ask another what I should do. She directs me to the front desk, where there is a line (understandably) because they are busy. The same person I talked to in the beginning says the stylist went on break and still hasn't come back, and she'll look for her again. It takes me a good 20-30 minutes before they give up on my stylist and clear a room for me to try things on myself. I honestly wouldn't have minded having this option to begin with - I didn't absolutely need a stylist; just a room to see what fit me best. Now I just wasted time standing around. The fitting room is tiny and has no mirrors inside of it whatsoever, which is not ideal. I try on several dresses and no stylist has come up to me, still. I'm not really happy with my options, look through the styles on my phone, and hope to grab one more dress I didn't already have to try on. There are several other stylists around me, who I assume are helping the others in the rooms next to me. My sister asks one, "Are you our stylist?" And she responds, "Yes." How do you just stand around and stare at your customer who's been waiting for you instead of introducing yourself as their stylist, especially when the rooms are specifically labeled for you to do so? Again, just bizarre. She does find one dress I ask for at that point in time, but that was it...I completed most of my "appointment" without her help and could have started it much sooner had I known my stylist wasn't going to be there. She asks if I like any of the dresses, to which I respond not really, but I'll select one online later (mostly because I wanted to get out of that mess of a place ASAP). She then states that it's fine since I have so much time, which was frankly just misleading. Luckily, I knew from others in the bridal party who actually had attentive stylists that this particular style was taking up to 5-6 months to ship, which doesn't leave very much time for potential alterations and other unexpected shipping delays. Would give 0/5 stars if I could. The entire process from walking in, to trying on dresses, having our "consultant" Hanna leave us at the end - ruined the entire experience. First time bride and this was my first dress shopping experience. I informed Hanna what I didn't like and she would come back with dresses having exactly what I said I didn't like (beads/sequins). The fitting rom was incredibly tiny, had no mirror or chair for my clothes. At the end, we had 15 min left and she said she didn't have an appt until 3, so she could stay with us until then. However, at the hour mark, she left us at the dressing rooms without saying anything, went on "break" and that was it lol. Good thing I didn't find any dresses I liked because she LEFT US. I understand the appts are an hour; but she shouldn't have said she would work with us for the extra time and then completely ditch us. Additionally, there is no bridal area for brides like the old Kzoo location. You are smashed in with bridesmaids and the experience was like cattle calling. Every dress she pulled for me was twice my size and then she would ask if I needed any help as the dress was falling off of me. My family also pulled dresses for me at the end and Hanna wouldn't grab them in my size to try on. That was before she ditched us though.. As we were walking out, Hanna was at the front desk (magically reappeared after running away) and didn't say a word to any of us as we left. Don't waste your time! I had a good experience here at David's Bridal. They did have the dress I wanted so that was great. I was not crazy about the group processing, where you do an introduction to dress shopping with strangers. No, but thank you. Once we got through that, we were treated well. The sales lady was very helpful even though she was running between two customers. The alterations lady will not get my business, ever. She belittled my suggestions of what needed to be altered on the dress and was too busy for us. I knew right then she wouldn't touch my dress. Side note. I never got a call that my dress had come in. The call came to my friend and they addressed her as me. So clearly they didn't have the paying customers phone number in their system. Then they had to call me twice to get my mailing address because the person who took it on the first phone call with my credit card, didn't write it down. So then she said that UPS would email me a confirmation number. Agreed, and when we checked my email in the system, behold it was wrong too. I did get my dress. So there's that. I'm not sure I would hold these data issues against David's. They were quite pleasant and helpful. Just be sure to check and double-check your information. read more

I got to my appointment early to look around and try and find some shoes. I didn't really see anything, but the team at David's was able to get me started 20 minutes early. I was set up with Jennifer. initially not a very welcoming experience. She didn't stand around to see which ones my family and I wanted to pull off the rack. She also told us I and my family were only allowed to pull 3 dresses off the rack! After Jen took the dresses she said to stay in the dress area while she took them to the changing/seating area. After the dresses were placed she then told us all we could sit. She then made me put on the shape wear of some sort on, which I was not comfortable in at all. I already have self image issues, and this made me feel very bad and insecure about myself. Putting on the dresses was not a good experience, she made me feel very pressured and overall like a burden. Did not seem like she liked her job and didn't have her heart in helping brides find the one. Prices of the dresses are very high. I went to memories in Kzoo were there were less than 2000$ and here they were over. I looked over at other brides who were smiling with their stylists but I did not feel this. Being a first time bride, I did not feel much joy. I'm sure the other stylists were lovely, just did not have a good experience with who I had. read more

My engaged daughter and I stopped by without an appointment in the Covid era on a mid-morning day. The gal at the host stand greeted us right away and as soon as we told her we didn't have an appointment but wanted to look and get some ideas, she gestured to a specific area and told us that was the only section we could look. There would be no trying on. We went from rack to rack and may very well have walked out with a dress that day if anyone had bothered to ask us if they could help us. Or could we schedule an appointment for later (we checked online and the calendar indicated they had availability right then, while we were in the store). We were one group of two groups in the store the entire time. They were not busy. They had staff walking around. It was very disappointing and I would not recommend wasting time to be treated to such poor service. read more

My fiancé Margaret went into this David's Bridal location on 3/17/24, to pick out her wedding dress for our wedding that is going to occur this November. Melanie was the sales person that originally paired up with Margaret. Melanie did a good job, showing Margaret various dresses. But she did not bother to measure Margaret at all. Even though Margaret found a dress that she absolutely fell in love with. After Margaret left DB, is when all of the issues to come, would ensue. Margaret went back into the store around July to pick up & try on the dress that Melanie had ordered her. It was then when Margaret had discovered that the corset lacing in the back did not fit well, and it was probably due to them not being laced up correctly. Margaret took the dress home and made another appointment for alt. Alteration appointment was scheduled. Margaret & her mom went and that is when the alt lady adv'd that the dress was not the correct size. Asking if it was an off the rack dress or a special order. My mother-in-law stated that it was a bridal order that was completed back in March. The alt lady was trying to make the dress fit better. Seeing that Margaret was getting frustrated and was crying, the store mgr, was asked to be brought in for to see what could be done about ordering her a slightly bigger size. She came in and heard what was going on, and she reassured her that this would be resolved, as it was getting close to our wedding and time for needed alt are becoming extremely limited. The store mgr said that she was going to order her the correct size. And that she was going to put a rush on it if they could, as it could take up until December to get in. And then would time for any alternations. That is when the alt lady properly measured Margaret and then confirmed that she was a size 14. The store mgr suggested about ordering a size 14 dress, and then keeping the original dress (size 12) that was ordered as a backup plan. In the event that a size 14 dress could not be ordered. In the meantime, the store mgr was searching around on the phone to see if they could find a size 14 dress, and asked Margaret and her mom wanted to stay around, they did. But because it was taking a lot longer than expected, they decided to leave. A half hour later, the mgr called and said that they were still working on getting a new dress. And that once she found one, that they would call back. A mgr by the name of Emily called back on August 16th stating that they reached out to a vendor that said they could send a dress to the store, but it would take until 9/28 to get to the store. And then they could start the alt. They had scheduled an alt appointment on 9/31. They got there and they gave her the dress and when she tried it on, Margaret was literally swimming in it. Come to find out that rather than ordering a size 14, they ordered her a size 18W. The alt lady acted dumbfounded as to why this dress was a size 18W. she went to speak to a mgr and they talked for a VERY long time. After 25 mins the alt lady came back into the fitting room, and said that it was "agreed" to order a size 18. And Margaret and her mom both confronted her and said that, that could not have been further from the truth. And that is when Margaret demanded to speak to the mgr. And then the mgr came in a lied a 3rd time restating that this was agreed upon getting a size 18. The mgr stated that lets see what they could do with the 18. As it was the only size that could get in. Attempting to shift the blame unto Margaret and her mom. There were never any talks from the mgr about them ever attempting to order a size 14. The mgr tried to flip the conversation stating that having the size 18 would be altered that would be feel like a totally custom dress. Margaret adv'd that she only has less that 30-days before the wedding. The mgr made her try on both dresses to see what would be easier for alt, the size 12 or the size 18W. When she tried on the size 12 it was then discovered that the seems were all opened up after they strictly adv'd previously that cutting into the dress than it would have made the dress hers. Thus, making her responsible for both of the dresses. It was decided to go with the size 18 dress. And then the alt began. While having random ppl were coming into the dressing room, attempting to sugarcoat the situation. alt lady said that it would be done in 3 weeks. Margaret said that she is not waiting for the last minute for her dress to be done. As our wedding is the 1st weekend of November. Margaret called DB on 10/18 to make sure the dress was done, as there were no follow up attempts from the store. Before wasting gas to another appointment. When Margaret and her mom got to the store, and Margaret tried on the dress. The hem was 2" longer than what it needed to be. There was various bulging in areas. The store agreed to make the changes needed Then made her an appointment for today 10/19 to finally pick up the dress for our wedding. read more

My daughter left her script and expensive sunglasses in room 10 about 330-4 pm on 3/11/23. When we called today no one has seen them. disappointing as I am sure this happens. It was my first time so I was pretty sure I wasn't finding 'the one' today but I left pretty much knowing exactly what I wanted because she was so helpful at giving me the full experience. and her team were really amazing. I am in Grand Rapids visiting my Mom and two sister in laws who are bridesmaids. We originally had our appointment at 4:30 and they allowed us to move our appointment up to three. Once we got there Ashley made sure we got settled quickly and began to pull options and discuss them as we went. I am not the kind of girl who has known what kind of dress I wanted since I was five, and Ashley was able to understand that and helped me get excited. She was able to make me feel comfortable and we ended up finding The Dress! I would recommend people give this David's bridal a fresh opportunity and allow themselves to form their own opinion. I do wish they would have shipped to a local store in Ca, but I understand how that leaves more room for error. read more

I had a good experience with this location until I tried to pick up my bridesmaid dress. The dress I received was far too large and was falling off of me. When I expressed my concerns about the dress size, I was told that I had the correct size for my measurements and that I should have the dress altered. I then tried on a smaller size and it fit me perfectly. I decided that I wanted the smaller dress. Rather than offering their opinions and then encouraging me to get the dress I wanted, the staff was extremely rude and continuously told me that I should get the larger dress. To be courteous, I asked how much it would be to have the larger dress altered. The cost to alter the dress was nearly double the cost of the dress itself so I opted to get the smaller dress, but the staff continued to make comments about how I should get the larger dress as I checked out. It was extremely insulting that they continued to do this and look down on me just for wanting a comfortable size that I would need to pay less to alter. read more

They ordered the wrong wedding dress for me, screwed up the sizes and mixed up all of my bridesmaids dresses and the customer service sucks. Just alittle rant about how absolutely SHITTY davids bridal is and how I would never recommend anyone go to them. I go and pick out a bridesmaid dress in march and order it. They tell me it should be here by june and they would call me. I pay for it and leave. I call mid june to check on the dress status and they tell me sorry the shipping has been pushed back until late August. Ok great...1. Thats after the wedding, so thats useless. 2. Why did no one call me to inform me of this? So they give me the go around how theyre going to call the warehouse and see if they can ship it sooner, blah blah blah. Manager calls me back the next day and says they got the shipping date moved up to july 10. Great! Only a week before the wedding but thats still ok, i didnt need alterations so should be fine. Still no call from them and some of the other bridesmaids dresses came in early. So I call yesterday ( july 7th) to see if mine by chance came in acouple days earlier too. This is when im informed that the dress has been pushed back now to aug 1....which is again after the wedding so im like wtf is going on? They tell me sorry, covid this covid that, but its not going to come in time and we only have one dress in your size and color in store. Im like JFC send me the link because theyre about 2 hrs away and with working 12s- driving there is not an option to see a style. The dress is hideous and nothing i would ever pay money for. So im getting upset at this point and I call her back asking what other options do I have because im not a fan of that style. She said well you can call other DBs and see what they have in stock because we dont have a database to check ourselves ( which...wtf? How do they not?). So I call 10 different stores in 4 different states. No one has anything but at least the Evansville store manager offered to call all her surrounding DBs to check for me which I thought was above and beyond since thats not even the store I went to. So I call DB back in grand rapids and im like so it looks like i dont really have any other options except to get that dress but its super big chested so i know ill need alterations done for this one. I would like them done for free for this extreme hassle. Im informed then that since the wedding is a week and a half away that its too late to do any alterations and that theyre also short staffed for people that do them. I. Wanted. To. Explode!!!!! So not only did my dress arrival date get changed FOUR times. I was never ONCE called first and informed of ANYTHING. If I hadnt called to see if it came early...i wouldnt have even known I didnt have a dress until EIGHT days before the wedding. So now here I am getting a dress ive never seen in person or tried on getting overnighted to my house that i paid full price for with no option of alternating. I get that companies are using covid as an excuse for shitty customer service but that doesnt excuse the fact of leaving customers in the complete dark with zero communication. If you need dresses, davids bridal would be the absolute last place i would go. read more

UPDATE: The store manager, Tammy, reached out to me and is doing everything she can to fix these issues. She apologized profusely. I appreciate her reaching out and working with me to fix the horrible experiences. She offered a solution for the dress size for my sister and apologized for the way that the stylist was treating me, my sister, and one of my bridesmaids. I appreciate Tammy doing this and wanting to fix the situation. Wouldn't recommend using David's Bridal Grand Rapids, and here's why. I apologize for the long review, but I've had a lot of bad experiences with them in the past 4 months. I haven't used David's Bridal much before this year, but I had to get a dress for my friends wedding that I'm in and then my bridesmaids are using them to get dresses for my wedding. I had a great experience as I was trying on my dress for my friends wedding -- staff was nice, helpful, and my dress came in about a week earlier than estimated (my experience with my dress is why this review is a 2 star and not 1). Now time for my bridesmaid's dresses. I went with my sister and mom to have my sister try on her dress. The staff wasn't kind, and the stylist helping us told her she needed a dress 2 sizes bigger than what she was trying on without even measuring her (my sister was trying on a 4 and was being told that she needed to get an 8 even though the 4 fit well and wasn't too small). Reluctantly, my sister tried on a 6 and it was a bit big on her, but the stylist said she needed to go up one more size than that -- to an 8... I can only guess she was pushing for a bigger size so my sister could spend hundreds on alterations through David's Bridal. My sister went with the 6 because we should be able to trust the stylist's professional opinion (even though it was horribly wrong) and honestly wishes that she would've ordered the 4. But that's not the worst part of my experience. Another one of my bridesmaids went in and was fat shamed the entire appointment by the same stylist that helped my sister weeks before -- being told that there's no way she's going to fit into the size dress she pulled and that if she goes with that size, she's going to be hanging out and not be able to zip it up (the dress size she tried on was a bit big on her too, so she didn't need to go up a size). She was told that she looked saggy in the dress. There is absolutely NO excuse to be fat shaming anyone and treating them like crap. No employee there should be acting that horrible to anyone. The customer service at the Grand Rapids store SUCKS and they need to do better. Lastly, when my bridesmaids ordered their dresses, they were told that they would receive a text, email, and a call when their dresses arrived in store and they would have 14 days from arriving to pick them up. 3 of my bridesmaids have received their dresses and none of them got contacted. When they called, they were told "oh yes. The dress is here. You have 7 days to pick up your dress." Because they now only had a week to pick it up because they weren't informed about their dresses being in, 2 of them couldn't make it out to the store, so I went to pick them up -- no problem, I was happy to do it. The first person that helped was extremely helpful in finding the dresses -- one was in a different spot, so the same lady as the rest of my review had to help. No problems yet. Before I left, I wanted to mention the fact that all 3 of my bridesmaids weren't contacted, just to let them know in case it was a glitch in the system that they weren't aware of. The woman handed me the dress, and immediately went to talk to one of her friends that came up to the desk, not even asking if there was anything else she could help me with. It took a while to get her attention (please note, it was less than 3 seconds after receiving the dress that I started talking). I mentioned that my bridesmaids hadn't been contacted when their dresses came in and had to call the store (what other store makes you have to call the store to check on the status of your order?) and the woman says "it's out of her hands and there's nothing she can do. It's not her deal." I get if it's an automated message when the dress is scanned in, but being in customer service and practically saying it's not her problem, that made me mad. She didn't offer solutions. She was extremely rude to us and dismissed us like she didn't care what we had to say. Solid employee right there. Her attitude and customer service isn't excusable. Kind of wish that I didn't use them for my wedding, but since it's too late for that, I'm encouraging friends and family to not use them in the future. Do better David's Bridal. read more

I visited here to go wedding dress / bridesmaid dress shopping for my sister, with our third sister. We three are close knit, always participating closely together. A manager here named Emily attempted to play that "defend the bride, the family is the enemy" persona. She was ridiculously rude to my mother and sisters. She deliberately yelled at us to stop picking dresses, which went against the brides (my sister's) request to bring in more. The bride was so stressed from this Emily, she looked mortified. Emily definitely made the entire appointment all about her and tried to steal the show, but inevitably just made herself look bad. She repeatedly talked down to her staff around us, not to mention was also dressed unprofessionally- wearing see-through leggings and chewing gum in our ears. There were other staff that were very kind and helpful, good at their job and easy to work with. Emily on the other hand, I would not recommend to anymore. Very poor social manners and management. read more

They didn't have anything to choose from. Everything was grossly overpriced. The employees were pushy. We were there 3 months before the wedding and they said that was a super short amount of time for them to get three dresses in so we had less options to pick from. The average was $300 per dress and none of them even looked good. Also, I figured since it took so long to order a dress, and they were $300, at least they would make sure the dresses were the correct length, but no. They all came for someone that was 5 foot 9 and we would have to pay $30 to get them hemmed. We ended up going to jcpenny and getting three beautiful dresses there. They were way cheaper for the same quality and better look. Plus we didn't need to get them hemmed. read more

Not my own personal review but I've seen so much online about people who have come to David's bridal and had very rude customer service. I went in once and immediately left after the staff was cold and rude, but I've seen so many stories of how their staff body shakes women and are super pushy with the process and pressure you into buying something quickly and then getting out. I purchased a bridesmaid dress sometime in March and the wedding was just cancelled 2 weeks before the wedding date. I spoke with the manager Courtney on the phone and she said since I didn't have the dress for a long time, to come in and I could exchange. Tags were still on and still had the original hanger and plastic protector on it. You could tell I did not wear it. I had a bad feeling there was nothing I would be able to do with this $150 dress I would never wear, so needless to say, I was so happy I called. Courtney was very friendly and helpful. The whole process was so easy and I ended up getting some really cute dresses that were on sale at great prices. They have a "special occasion" section where the dresses aren't so "bridesmaid-y". You could actually wear these to a wedding or out to a fancy occasion and it wouldn't look like a bridesmaid dress in my opinion. I also got some jewelry and a cute pair of sandals. I didn't care for the selection of dress shoes or I would have gotten a pair. To also note, we had an attentive associate when we originally went to try on bridesmaid dresses back in March. I would suggest going on a weeknight instead of a weekend. Saturday's are so busy and probably more difficult to get the attention you need. read more

I purchased my wedding dress from David's and while I loved my dress and the price was right, I was underwhelmed with the way brides and bridal parties are handled. Everyone I worked with was nice enough (and I worked with several because it seems like you don't get a dedicated person on any visit), but the way the business structures customer service is, as one reviewer called it, like a cattle call. You are hustled in by one person, you pick out a few dresses, then it's off to the dressing room area. Your attendant of the day will move between you and several other brides and bridal parties to help everyone. But because you are just one of the many she's helping that day, don't expect quick response to your questions or assistance getting a different size. I just had my mom run out to the floor and get different things I needed because the attendant was just too busy. Something random I noticed about David's is that the dressing room area's are surprisingly small. The whole point of you being there is to try on a big dress; they should make the dressing rooms larger to accommodate that. It would be much more comfortable experience. They tried heavily to up-sell me on everything from a dress preservation kit to hairpieces while I was in. I also was told that I must order my dress that very day because it would take months to get it back in; fear set it in that I wouldn't have my dress in time for the wedding (which at that point was 9 months away). Of course my dress arrived within 3 weeks so I was stuck with a different problem of having to hide it from my fiance for that long. I did not do my alterations at David's and I did not purchase any of the other wedding party's dresses at David's. I did my alterations at Cascade Bridal and I picked out shoes, hair accessories, undergarments, and the bridal parties items at various other places. I wouldn't recommend David's for accessories or shoes as I didn't think they carried the latest trends and their selection was limited. If you want the "matchy-match" bridal party dress look for your bridal party, then David's has that type of thing in abundance. However, speaking as a bridesmaid that has worn David's bridesmaid dresses in other weddings, there will never be a time that I will wear a David's bridesmaid dress again, no matter what the bride has told me. David's bridal party dresses look like bridesmaid dresses. If you really want to give your bridesmaid a unique, non wedding-ish bridesmaid dress that she will truly wear again, look elsewhere. Jenna took the time to get to know my style and what I was looking for so that she could make the best recommendations for my style and budget. My sister just recently got engaged and we went in to check out the sale! Our consultant was Caryn and she was FABULOUS! She was so patient, kind, thorough, and really took her time with us! My sister is very curvy, and it's a sensitive topic for her, but she handled it with grace. We also checked out some bridesmaids dresses and mother of the bride dresses and tried them on for fun and she was just as excited to see the dresses on me as my sister was! Loved her! I visited David's Bridal on February 5th, 2022. I had an appointment and was paired with a worker who had another shopper scheduled at the same time. I understand this is a busy place on the weekends but I would suggest not lining up 2 at a time. I felt very rushed. I felt that I was given complements about the dress I picked out that did not line up with the pictures my sister took that I had a chance to review later. It photographed terribly. It showed unflattering areas that would have been covered if they would have actually measured me and fitted me to those measurements. She would not button all or most of the buttons that went up the back because "her fingers were too big". That does not exactly allow for a good idea of the dress. So, I foolishly took her word for it, thinking she must know what she's talking about and unfortunately, I ordered that dress but come to find out, you only have 7 days to return it. 7 days! This is not 7 days from when it is in your possession. It is 7 days from payment. I was alerted 14 days after purchase that the dress had arrived in store. So, there would never have been an ability to return the dress after it had arrived. This is an insane policy. When I went to the store to attempt the return, I mentioned the problems I had with the customer service I experienced on the 5th and how it directly relates to the proper choosing of a dress. It did not matter, their policy comes first. I was only given store credit, which you cannot apply to anything online. I know the policy is not a workers fault but there were things she could have done better to help a first time wedding dress shopper find what truly works for them. I did not like the way they treated my daughter she is a 14to 16 depending on shape of dress they said she was an 18 and they did not bring any of the dresses she mark on the website for her favorites and they said the ones she picked were only on the web but we my sister, sams maid of honor found them there and the dresses the woman brought her were humongous on here and ugly and she did not treat her with respect and my daughter was in tears afterwards with the way she was treated and aren't u suppose to try on what we like not what u like. At the end we found the dresses Sam liked and the most pretty on was a 12 and almost zipped all the way up. worst experience ever. overpacked , overbooked, rude "customer service" My friend is getting married the first weekend of June. She is a very laid back, un-organized bride. (I am the opposite.) Her appointment was April 2nd and unfortunately i was unable to join the other girls for this. (Appointments take months to get and if you don't have one they won't let you try anything on.) She chose her wedding dress and the bridesmaids dresses on that day (and paid /ordered them) she messaged the other girls what dress to get and was told the bridesmaids dresses would be here May 22nd at the latest and that we need to go in asap to get fitted. WHO IN THE RIGHT MIND would sell 5 $180 dresses that won't be in until 2 WEEK BEFORE THE WEDDING. that gives us 1 week to get them adjusted. Which means we have to pay a rush fee. Davids bridal should have told her to either choose a different dress, or tell the other girls to order online. I had to speak to 3 different people before someone could help me. i didn't want to order a dress that wasn't going to arrive a week after the wedding. When i did go into get my dress, i ordered a 2, and i said THE ONLY THING I NEED is padding sewn into the boobs, i said i had no time to order extra length or have alterations and to just add the boob cups, so it would be ready when i drove 50 minutes to pick it up. It wasn't there. no padding. now its up to me to find my own seamstress. i am in at least 2 weddings a year, and i refuse to ever buy another dress here. read more

Terrible customer service they wouldn't listen to anything I wanted to try on they were like it's basically the same dress u had on so u won't like it... like really who are you it's my big day not yours and it was the woman who was training to other girls wish I could remember the blondes name but the brunette Jessica Roy I will remember her forever she changed the whole experience for me and was understanding everything I wanted and even pulled more dresses even tho she was afraid they would yell at her she knows how to treat a bride for sure not sure if u will see this but if you do thank you so so so much for helping me and turning that entire experience me and my grandma were so thankful for you all the way around you rock keep up your good work !! read more

If I could give them negative eight stars I would. The service was awful, and the woman helping us (I use the term helping loosely) knew almost nothing about her job requirements. She botched our measurements, brough the wrong dresses, and was overall the opposite of helpful. I'm very skinny, something I'm self conscious about, and she continuously commented about how small I was, making me feel bad about my body in front of my party. "We never get people as tiny as you," and "you have almost no bust" were things she said. I swear I almost drop kicked her. I will never be going to this location ever again, much less any other David's Bridal if they allow their employees to body shame their customers.
