Be sure to double check receipts and information. My experience with trying on bridesmaid dresses was pleasant. There was some confusion due to a shift change which left me waiting without someone to show me dresses. I asked someone at the desk and they quickly assisted. Placing my order was easy and it took a few months for my dress to arrive. My mom picked up my order and was given the wrong dress. I called to confirm that the correct dress was at the store. They said they'd placed another order. I had to ask for the store to be checked first since I was originally told my order was ready. After checking, they found my order so my mom returned the dress to the store. The associate was rude and told my mom she bought the wrong dress instead of listening to what actually happened. My mom showed the receipt with the correct order. Thankfully the manager was understanding and realized their mistake which resulted in me getting my correct dress as ordered. read more

Very disappointed in their return policy which is archaic. First, when I brought a bridesmaid dress, I wasnt even told the return policy. I brought the dress at the store and they had it delivered to the store in 2 weeks. I picked up my dress the day it was delivered and was told by the associate with the green cast on her arm that the return policy was 60 days. I called the store the next day since I changed my mind about the dress and I was told 7 days from purchase date for a refund. I asked Nicole to double check the policy since I was told different information. The manager gets on the phone and explains the same policy and how it states so on my receipt, not even acknowledging the wrong information I was told by her staff. It makes zero sense that a dress ordered in the store can only be returned for a refund within 7 days of payment NOT delivery date, a dress that someone does not have in hand. Davids Bridal, revise your return policy for those who don't buy their dress in store and you order it. Its archaic and unfair when someone is waiting for their dress to come in the mail. Explain your policy properly to customers who order their dress as that policy should only if you walk out the store with the dress in hand the same day as the purchase date! My mom and I went in for her "final" alterations appointment recently for her wedding this fall. First and foremost, the staff there were very rude and unwelcoming off the bat which foreshadowed the outcome of the visit. They claimed that she was not the same size as 2 weeks prior and this caused the measurements to then change. My mom ended up paying an additional $100 to have the dress taken out, to have the belt redone, and have it hemmed again. I am all for giving people grace when grace is due, but this was a nightmare. We ended up having to make yet another alterations appointment to fix all the discrepancies. The staff clearly did not have any empathy and acted like we were inconveniencing THEM. People spend hundreds of dollars on their dresses, and it is all a god damn scam. TWO WORDS...Do BETTER. DO BETTER. read more

She gave great advice and really made me feel comfortable changing in and out of my dresses. I called and asked for an appointment for the feasterville location and the woman on the phone said "oh you don't need one just come in." So I walked in and we started pulling dresses and then we asked her if we could put our dresses in the back while we kept shopping. She said to wait and just kept doing other tasks so we walked up to her again she she seemed so annoyed that we were bothering her and said "you have to wait a few minutes." And we said okay well where can we put our dresses while we shop and she said "just put them anywhere. On any rack" confused, we said "I don't get that, what do you mean?" ( because if we did that then anyone could come up and take them?) so then she frustratedly just starts pointing at racks saying "here or here or here ...anywhere?" im HIGHLY annoyed and had an awful experience and would never go back. if you hate your job that much then just quit. awful. if I could choose a 0 star, I would. read more

The front desk girl was so unwelcoming, I was so disappointed . There were a few employees working and only one other bride in the store. I felt as if I was an inconvenience for trying to shop for a dress. Not only that, but the girl up front phoned the girl at the back register, just to complain about me while mentioning details of the conversation we had, and then huffing that " I already told her we didn't have the style she wants" not knowing I was standing off to the side of her. I'm super impressed with how this location has really turned their act around recently. When I was shopping for my wedding gown several years ago, I had a terrible experience here. The store was a mess and the staff was incredibly rude - despite me having an appointment, they rushed me to no end. I swore never to come back again, and bought my wedding dress elsewhere. However, one of my best friends is getting married, and chose a really pretty color for the bridesmaids dresses. One of our options was to get the dress at David's Bridal, so I figured I'd give them another try. First of all, the remodel has resulted in a really beautiful store. Incredibly well organized and very classy. The days of grunge and dresses packed like sardines seem to be long gone. When we initially went a few months ago, I told them what I was looking for, and they were very helpful. I am expecting my first child very shortly before the wedding date, and they were very helpful in finding a style that would be both comfortable and flattering. I chose three and told them I would think about which one I wanted. Last night, I was ready to make my purchase, and went in to figure out what size I wanted. Since I'm 5 months pregnant now, I've been told by friends that this is the size I'll want shortly after giving birth. I was lucky enough to be helped by Latrice, who was very comfortable and knowledgeable about the sizing challenges that pregnancy creates! She gave me a great recommendation on size, and I ordered. My bridesmaids and I had a wonderful appointment with Dorothy today. My maids come in all different shapes and sizes so I wanted them to choose their own styles that flatter their figures. I just wanted them to be the same length and color. All of my maids found dresses they loved and they felt confident wearing. The facility is gorgeous! I've been to the Plymouth Meeting location before and it was nice, but the Feasterville location is just beautiful. Very modern, sleek and clean looking. Every section was immaculate and organized. We liked that that dressing room area was secluded in the back of the store as well. The selection of dresses is huge. There are so many different styles and fabrics to choose from. Their prices aren't outrageous and I feel there is always some kind of sale going on. They also have a large variety of veils, shoes, jewelry, and other accessories. I went in with my bridesmaids to get their dresses. Everyone was very friendly and willing to help. Especially Denise Jones. She was FANTASTIC with all of us. Jumped in to help without us having to ask for help. Offered to hang dresses back up, get anything they needed, helped with the dresses and offered suggestions...which we loved. My skin is literally crawling from my experience here. I'm not sure if it's because of the cheap material, or I picked up fleas. I'm almost embarrassed to admit I went to David's Bridal. But out of boredom one day, I went to their site, saw a dress I liked and thought "how bad could it be?". I called to make an appointment at this location and the girl who answered was super nice and even checked to make sure they had the dress I liked in stock. When I walked in for my appointment, I immediately knew it was a mistake. Cheap, gaudy prom, bridesmaid and bridal dresses hung under blinding, fluorescent lights. After standing there for several moments, I was finally greeted and was asked to fill out a form with my info and was then promptly asked if I had a photographer. A photographer? What the hell does that have to do with anything? Are you trying to sell me a dress or photography services? I was introduced to the lady assigned to help me. She could barely crack a smile and seemed like she would rather be anywhere but there. She asked which dress(es) I wanted to see. I gave her the inventory model, she asked my size, grabbed them and then immediately started dragging me to a dressing room. No suggestions for other dresses, no questions about other styles of dresses I might be interested in, not even a moment for me to peruse the gaudiness. She shoves me into a tiny dressing room and leaves me on my own to try and figure out how to get into this thing. When I finally step out of the dressing room, half dressed because I can't reach the zipper in back, she's no where to be seen. I should note that the ONLY mirrors are on the outside of the dressing rooms, where you need to come out in front of all the other brides, mothers, bridesmaids and screaming children who for some unknown reason were dragged there. While the dress looked great on me, the cheap material caused my delicate skin to immediately begin itching and I could do nothing but think about getting it off. But the saleswoman was too busy whipping a veil onto my head to care. When I told her I wouldn't be wearing a veil I got an eye-roll accompanied by a "you have to wear SOMETHING on your head." Yea whatever. She then asked if I was going to buy the dress. I told her no, went into the room to get out of it and never saw her again. In fact, no employee ever said another word to me. Ladies, you deserve better than this for your day. An inexpensive dress doesn't mean it needs to be cheap. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere but David's Bridal. read more

I had a horrible experience here. I looked online, and found some gorgeous dresses pretty cheap. Upon arrival, I looked around for some styles I saw online. Well, I found not a single dress I saw online. They were all cheaply made and ugly! I got a consultant who was the pushiest person in the world! She grabbed 5 dresses off the rack and shoved me in a tiny dressing room. She also grabbed me 5 different corsets to try. It's pretty hard to put one on without help. She was very difficult to reason with, and often made comments I really didn't like. I finally found a dress that was decent, however I had to get it altered. My event was next week, so they had to rush. Alterations there are unbelievably expensive!! $60 alone for alterations on a bland prom dress?! read more

I went in here on a Sunday in March after booking our Wedding not expecting to really find anything because I didn't know what kind of dress I wanted. Upon arriving, I met with my Bridal Consultant, Kathleen. She was an amazing sales woman and felt like a friend throughout the entire Wedding planning process. She was patient with me and found my dream dress! I cried when I came out of the dressing room and saw how beautiful I looked in the mirror. She saved this specific dress for last because it was designer and on the more expensive end, but I knew it was meant to be mine from that moment on. I love that when you find your gown the tradition they do with ringing the bell and making a wish! Surprisingly when we went to check out it was $300 off!! I was so excited. Kathleen helped me through everything! From finding the perfect accessories, to helping my flower girl feel like a Princess in her gown and her having the experience of ringing the bell and making a wish! She helped find all my bridesmaid's dresses (the dresses I wanted forever!) even though one was very unpleasant! I would highly recommend this location to anyone looking for a dress and personal service, and recommend asking for Kathleen as your Bridal Consultant, she's very helpful, caring, and patient. read more

So we had no intentions of buying a dress today. It was my daughters first stop and first time trying on wedding dresses. We hoped to narrow down the style she liked. We worked with consultant Hope, who could not have been nicer, and the experience was beyond our expectations. After three or four dresses she said that she thought she had one my daughter would like based on her comments to the first few dresses. She absolutely nailed it and we left with the dress and veil ordered. Hope was so nice and very, very good at her job. Please ask for her! They had a nice selection and reasonable prices. Well, my dress has arrived. Fortunately, I stopped into David's yesterday to pick up a fabric swatch for my florist, because I would have never known my dress was in otherwise. I still love the dress, but I'm absolutely over David's customer service. I understand that a busy store will sometimes overlook details, but failing to let a bride know that her dress has arrived, especially when the store has a policy of sending a dress back if it's not picked up within 14 days, is horrendous. My final word on this one is that the discount is nice and that the dress selection is pretty good, but beware of their consistently poor service. If you do decide to purchase gown there, make sure you check on it frequently. read more

I had an appointment to try on bridesmaid dresses and knew the exact two styles and three colors I wanted to see after looking at the location in NYC and online. First, they only had 1 of the 2 styles I wanted to try. Also, there were no dresses in the third color and fabric I wanted to try. Lastly, I was not able to try on my size in any style similar to the simple stapless one I selected. I understand that it's not possible to carry every dress in every color and every size but they didn't even come close. The consultant who was assigned to us was not helpful. I wish I remembered her name. She chatted with her friend the entire time while I stood there trying to hold up the dress to show my family. One other consultant did come by and offer to help search for another dress in the color I wanted. I'm sure it depends on who your consultant is but I would never go back here again. read more

We had an appointment for 10:30. Weren't helped until close to 11. We were fine with the wait. We were told she was working with 2 brides. Ok, we get it, but, it got to a point where she wasn't helpful. It's a very special day picking out a wedding gown and they ruined it for the bride to be and all of us. It's one thing to be working with 2 brides but when the woman tells you she's finished working with the other bride and she will now focus on us, and then she is still going back to the other bride, something's wrong. We were very patient waiting for her. I don't know if she knew the other bride or what but it was wrong. The manager offered to help after we said we were leaving. Why? Damage was done. The manager then told us that it is normal to schedule 2 brides at the same time. Fine, but if that's the case, why even make an appointment? Never go back and will never recommend! Despite the fact that I scheduled an appointment, no one wanted to be bothered helping me. Thank goodness I had a friend with me who looked for sizes and helped me with colors, etc. The woman who checked us in seemed much more concerned with preparing the store for closing than she was with helping me. I am very surprised of all of these negative reviews. I only planned my wedding about four months in advance (scheduled for this August), and so far I am very happy with the experience that I have had at this David's location. When I picked out my dress, I was two months postpartum, so needless to say I was worried about two things - being a bigger size than usual, and the dress still not fitting well after I began to hit the gym religiously. The first time I went there was to obviously pick out my dress. I had no idea what style would fit my "new" body, so after trying on a few that I wasn't so confident in, I had the associate pull a dress that she thought would be nice and that was her favorite within my budget. She pulled a dress that mimicked my personality and that would fit my nontraditional wedding venue (an Ice Rink) and that would still be comfortable in during the August heat. After trying it on, I instantly knew that it was the dress. After finding a matching veil, I was on cloud nine. My second visit was to pick out my bridesmaid dresses, and I was very happy that the same associate that was there to help me with my wedding dress was available. The company makes it very easy for the other members of the wedding party to pick out their size when they can't make it to the store with the bride, or lives out of state. The third time, I went to try on the dress for my first fitting, which I recently have come back from. I was thrilled (not only had I lost more weight than planned), but the seamstress worked with me to find the most comfortable alterations. I am not sure of all of the negative reviews, as all of the times that I have visited the stores everyone has been very professional, helpful, and customer service oriented. I am very excited to go back for my final fitting that is scheduled for two weeks before my wedding, and confident that I will not have a negative experience. Not only did I find it nearly impossible to get help finding a gown, but the staff made me and my sister-in-law almost feel as though we were in the way even being there. The atmosphere was very TJ max/warehouse not boutique dress shop (which could be ok if you find what you need, although if you are under size 8 or shorter than 5'5" just don't try). I've heard great stories of people finding inexpensive, nice dresses here, so maybe if you can actually get someone to make eye contact and assist you there is a possibility that you could find something nice. I was totally dreading the whole bridesmaid dress thing and it went pretty much as I expected. I drove all the way from the city out to the only David's in PA (well, closest to Philly) that came up on Yelp and Google maps only to find it was closed down. I of course edited the business to Yelp, but not before a little huffing and puffing in the parking lot first. "Didn't you know they had a fire?" Was a response after the fact. Why would I know this? I don't live anywhere near there and I haven't been a bride for almost 6 years meaning I haven't been in the market for a dress in over 7. So no, I had no idea. I do think a business especially one as big as David's should be responsible for updating their information. This was a sign of things to come.... We headed back towards the city to Cottman Ave to the "new" location. We waited about 10 minutes before we were recognized. They seemed VERY understaffed on a Wednesday afternoon at 1pm where the shop had maybe 5 customers. The only saving grace in the entire process was that the staff that they did have was indeed friendly. Slow, but friendly. They searched for the dress the bride picked out. Of course they didn't have my size nor the next size I should be trying on. They had the size down, but not the two I really wanted to try on. Now, I expect this from a small, high end boutique bridal shop, not from David's who is known (and I think the reason the bride actually went there) because of their wide range of styles and sizes. The sales girls grabbed other "similar" styles (which were not really, just the same tacky satin with crinoline underlay) in the sizes I needed of course they were baby blue and basically neon green when the dress we were buying was black. Ok, so now I have absolutely NO clue as to what the dress I'm buying will look like on me. Not size, not shape, not color! Really? Really? A company and store of their magnitude should have a size run of every dress. So I try them on in horror and embarrassment and if these dresses weren't bad enough you have to come out to even see what you look like in them as there are no mirrors in the fitting rooms!! I get it. I get why they do that and it sucks! They want to see the brides before they see themselves and tell them how beautiful they look in their ill fitting dresses. I tried on 4 plus dresses... all shapes, colors and sizes when it really should have been as simple as trying on one....maybe two. I still have no idea what I will actually look like that day. Ugh. The sales girl who really was very kind and complementary as I stood looking like a scenes from a 80's prom movie was also waiting on a bride so this entire dreadful process took about 40 minutes longer than it ever should have!!! She really did not know how to judge what size I should get so she got the seamstress Joanne who was also very sweet. She had me go up two sizes up for what she THINKS (no measuring tape was seen anywhere!) will fit my large chest properly and then said she'll take in the waist which included boning and from previous experience is a fortune so my cheap David's Bridal dress which I still have no idea what it will actually look like on me, will cost probably double because they simply did not have the proper sizes for me to try on in actual the dress I needed. The whole process was ridiculous. I'm dreading going back in for alterations. In fact I'll probably go elsewhere (and spend triple) but at least then it may fit. We shall see.... I'll keep you posted in what arrives at my door in a month. read more

The store itself is beautiful inside. However their sales representative are not knowledgeable of the products and had me feeling a little rushed just one example is I purchased a sash and when it arrived it was a completely different color. The sales representative stated when I picked up the purchase the floor displays are discolored. The sales rep who showed me the sash initially when I purchased it should of told me this or perhaps they should remove them from the Floor. My advise is if you go to this location do your own research on potential dresses and have a plan otherwise your in trouble. I did get my dress here though the alterations department is wonderful polite knowledgeable and did a great job the sales reps need to take a lesson from them. read more
