I was one of three bridesmaids that went shopping that day for our dresses. We had an appointment. When we got there the staff was very attentive. We were taken over to a poster to show the our salesperson the sales we were interested in. She measured each one returned right away with dress that fit each of us. This was a huge positive as when had been to another bridal store that didn't have many sample dresses we could try on. The only disappointment is I decided on a dress (we all get to pick our own style) and the sales girl said I'll be back I have to check something. Our gal knew exactly what we needed and suggested what was best. Ordered dresses and told would be on by May 20th. 4 days later we recieve a call stating a dress was in and then another dress had come in. The gal I talked to on phone said can only hold for 7 days. The lady who helped us on appt said they can hold until all dresses come in. We told them that were unavailable to come in to grab dresses and so on. Told us they would be marked as abandoned dresses and put back on shelf. So many different stories and rude customer service! read more

Customer service? It does not exist in this store. I was looking for a dress for a Black and White Gala I am attending in August. I also needed a formal dress for a wedding. There were four employees in the store huddled around the front counter talking about their plans for the weekend. Apparently that was more important than assisting me. I approached to ask a question and was rather flippantly directed to look in the "Mother of the Bride" section, with no direction on how to find that section. I went in looking for two elegant, edgy gowns and they wanted me to go find a matronly dress. When I found a couple of possibilities (without assistance), I requested a fitting room. I'm not sure why they felt it necessary to write my name on the chalkboard for the fitting room door. No one ever came to check on me, offer to assist with zippers, or GASP.... Offer customer service. I will never return! I found two beautiful gowns at Von Maur. When a woman is buying formal wear, it is nice to feel her business is important. read more

Gonna be honest. I'm extremely disappointed. But honestly what can you expect from a David's bridal I guess. My fiancée went to get her dress altered and she brought her friends with her. From what I understand is the people who work there just made it more of a chore for her. Didn't help her, didn't make it a great moment for her, they were slightly rude and just standing around talking and not doing their jobs while she was done and needed help. I guess idk what to expect from that place bc it literally has 2.5 ratings but that's where she found the dress she liked so who am I to argue with that but I wish they had made it a way more magical moment for her and helped her and whatever else your suppose to do. I'm just disappointed. I was told that the girls couldn't feel like they could ask questions to the sales people because thats how unwelcoming in felt in there. Being rushed and whatever else. Just disappointed in them. So if you're gonna buy a dress here I'd say they have cheaper ones but if you want to be hyped up and complimented and helped and you want to have sweet, nice, approachable people helping you I'd say go else where read more

My fiancée went in to pick up a dress from get alterations and they were completely rude telling her it wasn't ready for when it was scheduled to be completed. They wouldn't let her even see the dress and kept trying to turn her away. After multiple attempts and asking to see it or go check if it was actually done they finally went to check and it was finished sitting in the back. They tried blaming in on their computers being down thus why they were saying it wasn't done or that they even started with the alterations. Why not just take some responsibility for things that are your fault and not try to make others take the fall for your mistakes. read more

If I could do zero stars, I would. My bridesmaid went in to pick her dress up this morning (seven days out from the wedding) and the alterations that were done were so terrible that the poor lady helping her literally took them out before the dress had even left the store. The other alterations that were done, tightening the bodice, were done over her objections and mean the dress is actually too tight - she'll plan to wear for the ceremony and photos and then change. The seamstress who did her fitting told her she was wrong when she complained about the dress being too tight. Alterations that cost MORE than the dress itself. All of this is after the dress was allegedly backordered, which turns out to not be true but the system was down so our order took two weeks to place. Which also meant we paid an expedited price. I cannot recommend enough that brides do not work with David's. They're unreliable, costly in a way that is not transparent, and the communication is a nightmare. read more

The dress was amazing! I am very pleased with my finished dress. But unfortunately, the service was absolutely horrible. Their system was down a prior to getting my dress picked up. I had set an appointment on a Sunday due to working full time. When I came in to try it on they told me I wasn't on their schedule and would not let me see my dress because they hadn't started to sew the dress yet nor would they check on it after I asked them nicely. They told me I could come in in the middle of a work day a week before my wedding. I could tell they were not taking me seriously and only after leaving to get my original alterations slip were they willing to speak to the manager, when they came back I was told that my dress was sitting there already finished and ready to take home. If you are planning on getting an alteration done with them be ready for disorganization, no communication and bad service. All I wanted was a little respect on what is supposed to be a happy occasion and got none. read more

Working with David's for my wedding has been the most stressful part of getting married. MY dress was the easy part. It's gorgeous and getting it tailored was reasonably priced (I didn't need much done) and only took a month to get back. However, my bridesmaid dresses and their recommendation for The Black Tux (a partnership with Men's Warehouse) has need awful. Our dresses were ordered in early July (for a September wedding). One bridesmaid dress was supposed to arrive end of August (including being tailored/fit). The bridesmaid still does not have her dress (9/4) and we are a week out from the wedding. Calling David's to track it down and they cannot tell me the status of the dress. Trying to ask what that means and they can only say it's in transit, with no further details. Working with the Black Tux, we ordered 3 groomsman and a groom tux. Ordering the tux for my groom, the tux was cancelled 3 times, either because they were discontinuing the style, his size became unavailable (he didn't need special or larger sizing), or it was no longer available. The last time they cancelled at 2-weeks from the wedding. We finally ordered from another company, and received it within a few days and it fits perfectly. One groomsman had his first tux cancelled because they were discontinuing the style. We changed all groomsman tux's. 2 groomsman got their tux, one missing pieces and the wrong color, and the other arrived in the wrong size (he swims in his tux and there is no time get it fixed). The 3rd groomsman had his tux cancelled again because it was no longer available in his size (he didn't require special sizing or a larger size), we ordered a third time (different style), and it was cancelled because they didn't have his size. With 2-weeks left, we went with the same company we ended up getting the grooms tux. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this other company. DM me for the name. Let's face it, wedding planning is stressful enough, and having your outfits cancelled, not arrive, or just not getting information from a company is completely unacceptable. Do not use this place unless you want additional stress before your wedding day. read more

This was my first time shopping there. this was the first place that I went to try and find my wedding and I would not recommend this store. The lady that helped us was rude and trying to rush us through our appointment and wasn't helping us at all, didn't tell me I could go ahead and start trying dresses on, didn't help me get into dresses, didn't help me with clamping the dresses if they were too big, nothing. they didn't really have much for options which is very sad considering that they are a big brand you would think they have a lot of options and different styles. if it wasn't for the group of women I had to go with me things would've been a lot worse because they were the ones that stepped up and helped me win the employee wouldn't. read more

My friend and I went to look at bridesmaid dress and had a wonderful experience with Tira. She was fantastic. She is new but took her time with us and was a great help. She helped get the dresses on and gave her opinion when asked but wasn't too overbearing. Although we had a lovely experience with her, there was another woman in the front of the store that was at check in that was awful. She scolded Tira right in front of us and had a very negative, demeaning tone. I felt bad for Tira and thought it was extremely out of line especially at the front of the store in front of customers. There were a couple other girls that were extremely unprofessional as well, yelling through the store and yelling at each other. I'm glad we got Tira as our stylist because I would have wanted anyone else that was working. read more

I went in for my alterations appointment a couple of weeks ago and 2 of the employees were VERY rude to one of the other employees, getting an attitude and being rude to her while she was clearly doing the best she could! And they were doing it clear as day in front of the 4 other customers in the alterations room. Also, I spent over $1000 on my wedding gown and walked in there expecting to pay MAYBE $200 on alterations and it ended up costing me another $529! I get that company's need to make money but I think there should be some type of deal when you spend that much on a wedding gown AT THAT PLACE OF BUSINESS! I think the employees need a talking to, the pricing or compensation on alterations when they buy from David's bridal, and the appointments need to be better managed. If I could give zero stars, I 100% would. My sister is getting married and we are in a major time crunch with her wedding being roughy 1.5 months away. We also both wear dresses in the plus size range. We mainly wanted to try different silhouettes on to know what she likes. Our consultant was absolutely clueless. We were shown dresses claiming they are the same though they have different style #s and were told more than once that they do not carry something in the store even though we had seen them out on the floor. Finally we found a dress and verified before try on that the dress would be in by the end of the month. My sister falls in love and is ready to say yes to this dress when the consultant lets us know that the dress in her size based on the measurements taken upon arrival cannot get here until October because the dress runs smaller. The consultant knew the measurements prior to trying on the dress. Completely devastating and unacceptable! We went onto the website that same evening to check using the style number and ALL sizes would take until October because this dress is made based on measurements. Accidents do happen but this consultant did not seem to actually care about my sister finding her dress and ended the appointment by stating "it won't hurt my feelings" as we left prior to our bridesmaids appointment which was schedule for after the bridal appointment. I was so disappointed in my visit to the store yesterday. I have been to this location several times when shopping for my first dress. I worked with an associate named Molly and she was absolutely fantastic. While I didn't end up purchasing my dress there, I remembered her and her excellent customer service and wanted to come back and shop specifically with her. I've come back several times to look for accessories and shoes. We're having a destination wedding so I wanted a second dress to do a trash the dress photo shoot. I tried to schedule and appt online and the website wasn't cooperating and I was never given a confirmation. I then decided to just go into the store and browse. I wasn't really sure I'd even find any that I wanted to try on and didn't want to waste a salesperson's time if I didn't. When I got to the store, I was told by the people at the podium that I wouldn't be able to try anything on without an appt but they had some open so if I did, we could work something out. Off I went to the racks. I looked for about 30mins or so. I had 2 dresses in my hand that I was debating between. I wanted to purchase one of them. Walking over comes a lady from the podium who rudely states that I can not pull dresses off the hanger if I don't have an appt; I need to put those back immediately. I handed over the dresses and told her I was leaving. Let me make this clear, if this is David Bridal's policy I have no problems adhering to it, but her rude tone and unkind presence made it impossible for me to want to spend any money there. She could have explained the policy in so many other kind ways instead she chose to be rude and unwelcoming. It completely soured my mood. What put the icing on the cake for me was that later that night I had received a confirmation email about my 6:00pm appt. The ladies at the podium hadn't even bothered to check when I signed in if my name matched the appt schedule. I don't tolerate blatant rudeness and will do business elsewhere. read more

I ordered this dress for my upcoming wedding feb 29th 2020. I had gotten a dress months ago. But as i tried it on it no longer fit. So i hurried and ordered this dress and paid 35 dollars to receive it in 3 to 5 days. The dress comes yesterday and its a blue prom dress. I called you guys upset and the lady reassured me beings the dress i ordered was out of stock you guys would be willing to give me 30% off of a new dress and expedited shipping. Which was nice. So i decided to call our clive location to just go exchange the dress there and pick out another. I do this and once i pick out what i want the manager refused to exchange my dress. She wanted me to pay full price for a new dress plus the 30% off and ship the dress back myself and wait for a refund that way. I didnt have the extra money to do this. As if this wasnt stressful enough you guys have made it that much harder. I have no idea what to do now besides return the dress. There is no time to order another or sit around and wait for a refund to repurchase a new dress. This wasnt my mistake it was yours yet im the one being punished. So i also called the online support back and he told me the same. Purchase a new one or wait for a refund. Thats not right. In my opinion. You guys should have figured out how to make this right. We went here Saturday afternoon. This was our third bridal store of the day. WE had a dress that we loved in mind. So every dress my daughter tried on I was like nope, not as good as the other one. She did find about 4 here that could be contenders, but then she walked out in the one. I think my mouth hit the floor. So then we had to narrow it down to which one. I told my daughter to think about it over night and then make a decision. I had to leave the appointment early. The gal that helped her did a great job. We picked out dresses that my daughter could try. She showed a few of them with belts and veils. This is a location that all the brides are lined up in rows, there is not really any privacy. If I was a big girl, I would not to be side by side with a little miss size 2 in her beautiful slim fitting dress, while I'm worried about my large body. Out of the three stores this was my second favorite. I enjoyed our sales lady, looking through all the dresses and not a heavy sales push. She didn't show us ugly nightgown looking dresses, it just needs a more private area for showing off the dresses. We didn't look at other dresses, but there are a lot of dresses there, bridesmades, MOB, flower girl, etc. read more

It was super easy for her to make an appointment, and a price range was gone over depending on what all she needed done so she could plan to budget. If I never have to use or be party to David bridal ever again I will be happy. They are just in it for the sale and treated us as such. First we set up a time to go in to find dresses for my bridesmaids.(easy) They took my name and the names of the bridesmaids, wedding date and everything. The lady that was helping us seemed spacy and not terribly knowledgeable in anything. My girls were back and forth to the rack to find the dresses they needed more than the lady helping us. She seemed to disappear and not really care about us. Then when we found what we were looking for the girls weren't ready to order and she didn't really want to give us the information on the dress and said that the earlier to order the better, although we were almost 9 months out. We left with the information we needed that day. Later my first bridesmaid when back in to order the dress. She text me asking if they had my information. Well, I had thought when they took it the other day they would have it. They had even asked for my wedding date but had nothing on file. I was worried but they got us in the system and we started ordering dresses. At one point I decided that I wanted to match with my bridesmaids via colors. So I asked one of my bridesmaids to ask about getting extra fabric so I could have a ribbon on my dress to match the ladies. Well not sure what exactly happened but I know my bridesmaid knew what I wanted but she told me that they had told her that I would have to have extra fabric added to one of their dresses ($$ extra charge ) and then it would have to be removed when the dress came in. ($$ extra charge.) WHAT ? I got confused, so I called in myself. Same answer. What? This is the point where I got online and emailed the headquarters, or whatever. I told them the scenario and that I just was looking for extra fabric to make a ribbon or wrap for my wedding dress. The email team told me to call my local store and they would be able to assist me. This is where I started to lose my cool. I wrote a lengthy email telling them how unhelpful the store was being and what exactly I was looking for and all I wanted was to match my color scheme of my wedding. How hard is that? I am not a bridezilla by any means but this was becoming ridiculous! They responded that they would have someone contact me. AMAZINGLY that evening around 7 I got a call from the "manager" at the DB. I luckily had a couple of my bridesmaids there with me to keep me calm as once again I explained how nuts this whole back and forth situation had become! She agreed that she thought there was a break down of communication. She didn't really apologize but finally they understood what I wanted and it would be $15.00 for the fabric. OF COURSE (sarcasm) ill be HAPPY to pay you more $$ cause that is all that this company wants. They couldn't just give me this after all this mess? - I pay over the phone right there cause I had to. -- She also proceeded to turn it around and make it sound like it was my fault. At that point I about had enough, I wanted off the phone and if I didn't already have my girls invested in these dresses I would have gone elsewhere. She did offer extra $ in some photo card that they give away anyway. Fine whatever thanks. Months later I go to pick up the dresses. --------------------(hold your breath) The same lady that initially helped me in the very beginning was behind the counter. She returns with the dressed and the little bag with the matching wrap. I asked her about the cards for the photo thing that I was told I would receive. She had NO clue what I was talking about but had a stack of them on the counter and handed a couple to me. -scoff- what a joke. I have never felt so much anxiety towards a company and so much distaste. I hope to never have to use them again. I think the only reason they are still in any business is because they are linked to other companies for matching color schemes and craziness like that. Typing this up was like reliving the stress and I don't like giving bad reviews BUT if I had the option I would have put 0 stars. read more

So far everything about my experience with David's Bridal has at the very least been frustrating and totally disappointing. I went into the store (after making an appointment online) on April 12. The staff was very short with me and not very helpful. I also had to wait about 15 minutes to get someone to help me, despite having an appointment. The store was a mess. I knew what style and color bridesmaid dress I needed. No one seemed interested in helping me. I was told the dress would take 6-8 weeks to arrive at store. It just now arrived (July 8; more than 12 weeks) and less than a month before the wedding. I asked several questions about ordering it to the store in Clive (to avoid the outrageous charge to ship to another store) and having another person pick it up (staff was also snippy about this request). I was assured this was fine - but no one mentioned that it would have to be picked up in 7 days. Overall this experience with David's Bridal has been terrible from start to finish (and I'm not even finished yet). read more

My sister and I had a great experience here. You always hear some negative things about Davids ("wedding warehouse" etc) but we were treated extremely well here. Sarah helped us out from the second we walked in the door. She made us feel very comfortable, let us pull as many dresses as we wanted, and waited patiently to help zip/tie/lace/etc when my sister needed it. The two favorites for the day were two that we didn't pull-Sarah pulled them! She had a great eye. While my sister was trying on dresses, several different staff members stopped by to chat and compliment my sister. We left to go look at a few other stores and David's offered to hold a later appointment for us so we could come back and try the two contenders on. Lo and behold-we went back that day and bought my sister's dress. The staff made it such a positive experience for my sister and I would definitely recommend this particular store. read more

Yes, they have affordable Bridesmaid dresses, but absolutely terrible service. We walked in and the place was a zoo. Literally a ZOO! Even the consultants were running around like chicken with their heads cut off. There was no break between Wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses and prom dresses. We got there 10 min before our appointment and it took them 30 min before our consultant acknowledged us. Second, our consultant was double booked with both a bride and our group. At this point, we said screw it and pulled our own dresses and tried them on and left! Do NOT go unless absolutely necessary! It was the worst bridesmaid dress shopping experience ever!! read more

So I and my future mother-in-law went to a bridal show here in town. So after we were done, we decided to stop by Davids just doing a little scouting to look at their brides maids dresses and veils. We were there about 8-10 minutes when a gal came over and asked us how we were doing. "Fine just browsing" we stated. She then let us know that we needed to sign in up front, we let her know that we were not wanting to try anything on and were just looking but she stated that the 'hostess' (don't know what the woman at the podium job title is) needed us to sign in. Weird, but fine. We went up there and the following conversation ensues: Hostess: "Hi how can I help you?" Me: "We were actually told to come up here to sign in." Hostess: "Yes, were you looking for anything specific?" Me: "No just browsing, seeing if you have anything I may be interested in for my wedding." Hostess: "Well that is good. We wouldn't be able to get you in a dressing room and all our associates are busy and cannot help you look around. We ask that you do not take down any of the dresses." Me: ".... You know what, we will just look elsewhere." If you are in a business where you are expecting your clientele to spend thousands of dollars, maybe you should work on being nicer to potential clients. I went to this davids bridal for a dress for my sisters wedding. Paid over 150 for the dress and then paid an additional 145 for my alterations. The alteration appointment went fine didn't think anything of it. Then when I went to pick up the dress after the alterations there were several issues with it. They had made a stitch on the dress in the bra region because I had wanted it sewn shut put the dress on and they had made one stitch which left me with my breast area sagging a gaping hole where it was supposed to be sewn shut. Now at this point I was upset because there was also a stain on that part of my dress, they were able to get the stain out but there shouldn't have been a stain to begin with it was dropped off with no stain should never had been given to me with a stain on it that's just poor attention to detail as is the rest of the situation. I asked the alterations lady to fix it she said she would she hand sewed the hole shut and you could see every stitch she made she didn't even try to hide the awful sewing job she did. Then as I was putting it back on the hanger the bra cups that were "sewn" in just completely came undone. At this point I asked can you please fix this she said sure came back and took the hanger from me and said let me put it on the hanger this time blaming me for the bra cup coming undone at this point she said sign the release for the dress as if I had a choice the wedding is tomorrow and I had to drive 3 hours for the wedding. She handed me the dress and didn't say anything further poor customer service on top of them completely butchering my dress. The poor thing is tattered. The hem that was to be shorten looks like a dog chewed on it and is completely uneven and sits at an angle when it is on. My dress is completely ruined for my sisters wedding that I am a bridesmaid in and I'm devastated that I spent nearly 300 dollars on this dress and it was mangled by the company that I bought it from. Not to mention the bra cup situation I took it out of the bag to look it over once I had it home and sure enough the bra cup just fell off didn't even have to tug on it just unraveled. I'm so embarrassed. I'm honestly shocked they could let me walk out of the store with my dress looking like that. Honestly the people that did this should be embarrassed at what a poor job they did. So not only am I out the money for this now I don't have a dress unless I pay someone else to fix it by tomorrow. read more

I would rate David's Bridal no stars if I could. An amazing bridal place should make each and every woman feel special and welcomed when they come in, since this a very special day for the bride to look for that dream wedding dress. Beware you will not get that here, you are just a possible $ sign to them and they show it. From start to finish it was terrible. You could tell they didn't care about creating a special day for the bride, all they cared about was if they were going to make a sale. No welcoming atmosphere, and almost seemed irritated that you came in. Several woman working, but most were just standing at the front desk gossiping. The woman assisting us (if you can call it that) didn't offer to take coats or items to make it more relaxing to walk around and look, didn't really ask probing questions to see what dresses the bride was looking for, or seem to ask any questions about her wedding at all, seemed irritated that the bride wanted to look at more than 3 vales, and they give you a count down for the time you have remaining for your appointment ( I heard this several times on a couple other brides in the store). In addition the woman helping our bride was constantly pressuring her to purchase and when she knew we were going to another appointment she seemed even more irritated. I am shocked this place remains open if this is how all women walking through David's Bridal are treated. read more

Terrible! First off I was shopping for my bridesmaid dress when I had got to the third dress, one of the workers told me I needed to get out of the dressing room because there were other people that wanted to use it. She told me I needed to get dressed and go and wait my turn as there was a 3 dress limit. I asked her if she was serious and explained that she was going to lose my business. Another lady who seemed to be a manager came up and asked if there was a problem. I explained that I was unaware that there was a limit of three dresses that I could try on. She said we do not have a limit. And at this point the other lady said nevermind, I found some other open dressing rooms. The manager then helped me get some other dresses. As for my sister's wedding dress, the seamstress lady ripped it and then yelled at the other workers and acted like they were the ones that tore the dress. At this point it was too close to the wedding to be able to order another dress there for the seamstress fixed it. The dress ended up ripping during the pictures. Not to mention the alterations cost pretty close to the same amount as the dress. So be aware that they make up their money from the cheap dresses during alterations. read more

I was looking for a mother of the bride dress. The young woman walked me to the section and left me to look. I looked at a variety of dresses and after 20 -30 minutes someone else asked if I wanted to try on a dress, I gave her one and kept looking. When I was ready to try on the dresses, I tracked down a sales person to get a room for me. No one came to check on me and I had to track someone down to help me with a zipper. No follow up by the sales assistants that were standing at the register talking with each other. Really disappointed with the lack of customer care. read more

Went here for my very first bridal appointment. Very disappointed in the customer service during my appointment. I told the consultant I wanted to try on multiple styles to see what I liked and she only pulled 2 different styles. After those 2 she didn't listen to anything I wanted and just pulled what she wanted to see me in. Update: My dress was supposed to be shipped on 5/13, so I was surprised when I had not yet received it in the mail. I called today to find out that my dress was still sitting in the back of the store. One of my bridesmaids went into this store on May 3rd to purchase a dress. She tried on the store sample, but didn't like how the zipper was acting and told the lady she would prefer a new dress, not a floor sample. So, after paying a $20 rush fee (which I do not understand as it shouldn't take a month to ship a dress that is available online in regular sizes, not cut to order) My bridesmaid had her mother pick up her dress. No one ever called to tell her it was in, but as the day of the wedding was approaching she sent her mom in (she lives an hour away from the store) to pick up the dress. When my bridesmaid opened the dress, there were holes in the zipper along the seams and the top panel was no longer sewn together. On the Monday, before my wedding we took the dress in. The girls working there got her stuck in the dress and made no attempt to get her out. I had to assist her through the entire process. They told me the dress would be available and complete Friday morning. I called three times during the week and no manager ever called me back. So, instead of going to my rehearsal I went to help her to get her dress. I paid $100 for a rehearsal that I just had to eat. When we arrived, the dress was not ready. They wanted us to wait an hour for the zipper to be put back in the dress. At this time, I needed to go set up for my rehearsal dinner. We had a band, caterer and set up to do for the party. The staff blamed me for the problem. They said that I should have ordered the dress sooner. The manager stuck her finger in my face and treated me like a child. She yelled at me in front of other customers. I kindly asked for my money back, as my wedding was the next day. She refused and said corporate would send me a check. After I cried in your store, she thought she would make an exception. My friend ended up wearing a maternity dress (as it was the only dress we could find to match in an hours time the morning of my wedding) This is horrible customer service. Your Des Moines store needs training on customer service. This behavior is unacceptable. read more

I was a bit hesitant about buying a dress the day I went into Davids Bridal, mostly because I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted and how it would look on my body type. Kristin at Davids Bridal was amazing and helped me through the process and eased my fears. Every dress she took the pro's and con's to help tailor the exact dress that not only looked good on me but one that I'm excited to wear! I went to Davids Bridal tonight for a fitting for my dress. What a wonderful experience. My sales woman was kind, professional and very efficient, yet fun as well. I found the perfect dress and it was 7-8 hundred less than Stacy's would have. I am so pleased with my experience! read more

I tried on 6 dresses and the last one I tried on was the one. Maddie was super helpful and gave me great advice on each dress. The only downfall to my experience was how busy it was but that's not something I could help. My bridesmaids were able to get their dresses as well. Overall, it was a great experience. read more

We had appointments for bridesmaid and mother of the groom dresses (bride had a wonderful experience and purchased her dress through David's in Cedar Rapids) and had a very disappointing experience with the consultant assigned - Kandra or Kanda(?). For the bridesmaids she wasn't very accurate with sizing (measured at a 10 & 12 when they are 6 & 8) and when the dresses didn't fit after being brought and we asked for smaller sizes, she made excuses as to why smaller sizes wouldn't work and made it to be a hassle to find other sizes. When we asked about other styles or sizes she didn't make an effort to help. We ended up pulling dresses ourselves. She brought a versa dress and said you need to look online to see how to wear it. That seems to be something a consultant should know. She didn't help in any way and never spoke except when she wanted us to leave. The consultant was rude about the appointment timing and kept saying time was about up and that we needed to share a room (3 of us) because her second room was busy when we had booked both rooms for one and a half hours and she said we would need to come back because we took too long. For the mother of the groom she was no help and acted as though I was a hinderance. She showed me one location on the wall with black "mother of" dresses and said those were my only choices. I asked about others and was told if you don't see them in black they don't come in black. I was discouraged with no help and as bridesmaids were being fitted they couldn't help me. I pulled my own dresses and decided to give up. As we were leaving... The bridesmaids decided on a dress and ordered it but the consultant did the paperwork while the girls were trying to help me with mother of groom and she never talked to them about the order. The girls helped me pull some dresses and another floor person (Betsy) showed us an open room and was very very helpful with sizing and advice! She was a blessing in an otherwise disappointing day and I would have walked out empty handed if it wasn't for Betsy! She should receive a 5+ on this rating because she helped me and made the sale! Kanda or Kandra (to not even know her name says something in itself) was no help at all and made us nearly leave with a bad impression of the store and empty handed. Betsy saved the day! read more

So right as we walked in we were ignored. It took them awhile to decide to help us. When they did they were rude and short and weren't happy we were there. Horrible customer service. There were 4 people standing there talking the one in training was the one who decided it was the right thing to do to say hello read more

Would not recommend going to David's Bridal, I felt like the employees just want you to buy any dress to make money off you. They don't take there time to help you find the dress you love and the lady that was helping me, kept rushing me to buy any dress. read more
