They always offered me accessories, bustiers, bouquets, etc. the main seamstress came and gave me general quotes and ideas of things I could do to make the dress right for me. I was so appreciative! I felt I found my dress, but knew I had to do my due diligence and check out at least 1 more store. They didn't pressure me or give me attitude or treat me any different knowing where I was in my shopping journey. The dress selection was plentiful, not too overwhelming. So, I booked this last minute appointment and let me tell you: everything happens for a reason! We were blessed with Hailey and she was just amazing. I showed her all of the dresses I loved and without batting an eye, she just somehow remembered all of them and brought them all to my dressing room. She was very helpful getting me in and out of the dresses and very understanding and kind. I had heard that the quality of the dresses at David's were questionable, but that couldn't be further from the truth. Everything I tried on was phenomenal. I was in the area and stumbled upon David's bridal so I decided to see what they have. I walked in and was greeted and asked to look around and when I found something that I might like to let her know, I asked the girl and she said oh we don't have your size and out of stock. It was around 5:30, she had initially said she had a bridal coming in at 7 then after I asked for the dress she said she has a bride coming at 6 so clearly she didn't want to help. She said you should make an appointment and will get all the dresses out etc. Other places I went for dresses, they didn't have my size but that is why they use pins and stuff to make you fit in it obviously not every store has your size. I came here strictly for wedding gown alterations and overall it was a good experience. I deducted two stars because of the over inflated cost/pricing of the alterations. It was half of what I paid for my dress and just to hem the dress, it was $200. That didn't include the price for taking in the waist, shoulders, arms and other parts of the dress. I placed an order online and when it didn't arrive on schedule, I tried to contact the number listed on their website. The calls were not answered. After reaching out to actual stores, I talked to Tiffany at the Clearwater, FL store. She was very professional and friendly. She went out of her way to get all of the information of my order and told me she would call me back the next day. So I already have a wedding dress I bought from a small boutique, but I fell out of love with it. After a terrible experience at the Tampa location, I was skeptical but decided to give the Clearwater team a chance. As soon as I got in, I was able to roam the isles and pick out some dresses I wanted to try on. About 20 minutes later, my stylist, April, approaches me and helps pick out even more dresses to try on. She was so kind and sweet and let me try on gowns and pick out accessories and even walk around in the dress and decide if it's right for me. I went last Friday night to pick up my dress and I asked nicely about a certain promotion that someone else in my party had just gotten and was rudely addressed by the associate and manager. I felt bad from the experience for awhile and still do. It had a very negative effect on me and I will never shop at David's Bridal again. All over about $14. When I steppedt into the store, there were about 6 people near the entrance, and NOBODY greeted me. NOBODY helped me finding my dream wedding dress and NOBODY helped me when i needed a fitting room. I mean there were like 10 people working at that time. How am I supposed to buy a wedding dress without any help from the store? Another thing, there are absolutely no mirror in their fitting rooms (they have mirrors outside) so I couldn't look myself in a dress in a mirror because my underwear was showing and I couldn't go out of the fitting room! People work at this store are no help and do not give a shit about your wedding! Please do not waste your time going to this place!! Honestly, I give this place 2 stars. Most of the staff is very nice and helpful; however they definitely know where to grab your wallet. I purchased my bridesmaid gown here for a friend's wedding for under $125. That's a great deal, right? Hold up, where they get you is in the alterations. They should be ashamed of themselves. I paid $165 for alterations on a $125 dress. I didn't need that much done, hemming, of course, tighten up the shoulders, which wasn't really done and take a very small amount in at the back of the bodice. Everyone else in the bridal party paid under $100 for their alterations and had the same things done to their dresses. Not to mention the fiasco when I tried to cancel my fitting appt because I was positive for covid. They couldn't find my name in the system, then had a hard time finding me when I came in to pick up my dress. I will never buy from this company again. read more

I'm giving this 5 stars because of the service I received from Autumn. It was super busy with several Brides and other customers, and she did a great job of helping me and still making me feel like I was important. I've gone to too many stores where they just don't know what basic manners and customer service is, and Autumn does! She helped me find a dress for my daughters wedding, then when I saw another one I liked, she helped me decide on which one looked the best, offered solutions, and was totally honest with me. I really appreciated that. I usually shop with my daughters, so it was nice to have someone who I could bounce ideas off of, and feel like she actually cared and was paying attention to my needs. I ran into another girl that I know and Autumn helped her too...I knew that she was being honest because we both picked the dress for my friend that was the same and looked the best on her. Second stop of our wedding dress shopping. Our consultant was excellent. Very attentive and gave us numerous options. My daughter tried on at least a dozen dresses. We knew alterations were needed and even visited with the woman who does the alterations. She was a little abrupt to our consultant because we disturbed her, but our consultant took it all in stride. My daughter lives an hour from this shop. David's call to make a pick up appointment, then another appointment for fitting. This was never mentioned when we purchased the dress. They finally agreed to pick up and try on at the same time. After fitting my daughter was told there was a $400.00 alteration fee! Caution, caution this was never mentioned when I purchased the dress. The consultant said it was written on the sales receipt. Who reads the fine print on a 1 foot sales receipt? They admitted they made a couple of mistakes with the fitting schedule and our consultant should have explained the alterations fee. I paid the $400.00 fee but this was deception on the part of this David's bridal read more

Stinky customer service. Totally lacking in enthusiasm, interest or proper customer communication skills. I came here to get fitted for my bridesmaids dress for my friends wedding that will be held in a different state in a few months. I called ahead to make an appointment for my fitting. When I arrived, the only person working up front was in the middle of a LONG phone call. Nobody else was in sight to assist. So I waited and waited... Finally someone came by, but she was quite brash and not really helpful at all. Didn't do a good job at answering questions. I tried on a few different sizes to get the best fit. I was hoping for some guidance on alterations etc, but she was babbling in circles and never directly gave any recommendations to me. The bridesmaids dresses are overpriced pieces of fabric that aren't even well constructed. They give me the impression of being a clearance homecoming dress off the sale rack in Sears. I bought my dress without complaining, since my friend is the bride and it's her day, but if I were a bride I definitely would not even consider getting my own wedding gown here. There are many more boutiques in the area that have GOT to offer higher quality dresses and better customer service. When I returned about 1 month after my fitting to get the dress, the associate that helped me this time was a little better than the lady who fitted me on the first visit, so I decided to bump it up from 1 star to 2, but it definitely doesn't deserve a higher rating than that. In fact, it's a solid 1.5. (Wish I could give .5 stars in my rating) I would recommend to brides in the market to look elsewhere for your gown. She had to use the restroom; when she got out she wanted to try on the right size. Then the lady told us they were closed. I was so upset that she told us to leave. I went in to try on and order a bridesmaid dress a few months ago, and was told to come back a month before when I need it for alterations. I have 6 weeks before my friend's wedding in another state, so I figured I would go in and have it taken care of. All was fine until I went in to get it adjusted. I made an appointment a few days prior, and when I arrived, I got a "Well, you're not listed on here, but that's okay, we have time." Way to make me sound like an inconvenience; I could tell this was going to be an awesome experience. After lecturing me on making sure I had shoes on because they "drastically change your posture" I told the woman I would be taking care of the hemming myself once I decided on a 2.5 inch heel or a 3 inch heel and it wouldn't be enough of a difference to affect the bodice section. After getting into the dress and walking out, I made a comment about having to buy 2 sizes bigger for it to fit my butt (bottom heavy), so I needed to have a bit over 3 inches taken out of the top. One of the employees decided to make a fantastic remark - "You either have to pay to have the dress altered or pay to have surgery." Excuse me? When is that ever appropriate? I kind of like my ass, and I can't really do a whole lot about it. The Puerto Rican side of my genes leaves me with more butt than I know what to do with. But back to my complaint. I decided to go through with having it pinned and getting the tally to have the proper bust alterations. $195. Pre-tax. Not including hemming (which would have been a minimum of $30 as per the chart in the dressing room). That also included a "rush fee" because I didn't want to wait until the day I get on a plane to go to a wedding out of state (Who does that? What if there's a colossal f-up?). Apparently wanting it done in anything less than 5 weeks is considered a rush job, even though the sales associate said I should come back a month before I needed it (remember, I gave myself 6 weeks just to be safe). I paid around $180 for the dress to begin with. I told her it was ridiculous and I wanted my dress back. Sorry. Paying $400 by the time it's all said and done for a bridesmaid dress made out of polyester? I'll pass. And I'll pass on piss-poor customer service too. Those women need a trip back to training and I would personally classify it as firing material if I was their boss. So yeah, avoid alterations there like the plague. I took someone's recommendation to check out the Burlington Coat Factory's tailor/alterations woman (Bernadette) just a little bit up the road from this location. She was appalled at what I told her and wrote up the same alterations PLUS the hemming for a little over $100. So yeah, it's obvious where my business went to. read more

The day started off rocky, but our saving grace came from our amazing consultant, Donna. She was so patient and kind, and I felt like I was with a family friend helping me try on dresses. I'm sure the other consultants are lovely, but not as lovely as Donna. Picking out a dress is a BIG friggin deal. And it can be stressful! Not with Donna. That woman just brought me into that dressing room and put my mind at ease. She worked a little magic (in the form of perfect heels, undergarments, close pin things, and sound advice) and I walked out looking smoking sexy. She nailed it. This review is specifically for the alterations department and management I suppose since I believe that should have been handled better. I went there with a dress that was 99.5% perfect. My very thin shoulder sleeves were just slightly too loose. I ended up being charged $160 for the sleeves, which needed maybe a quarter of an inch tightening if that, plus they suggested taking in the seems since I was making the sleeves tighter and they wanted to reshape the armholes. I didn't really understand why that all needed to happen and I was alone during my appointment so I didn't have family to let me know if that really needed to happen so I agreed. I left me dress there for about a month for these alterations. I come back to try my dress on and it was all wrong. The sleeves weren't even, they used white thicker string for a nude very thin sleeve that's essentially the same fabric as a vail, and they seems and armholes were so tight it scrapped my arm putting the dress on. I explained my disappointment and they said no problem come back in 2 weeks and it'll be fixed. I am leaving for my wedding out of state in about 3 1/2 weeks so I was really concerned at this point. I went to my car and called my mother who told me to go back inside and have them fix everything now or to remove what work they did to take the dress somewhere else. I went back inside and they removed the stitching on one sleeve to see how it fit which I knew would be better because that's how I brought it in and I would rather use double sided tape to keep the sleeve in place than to have them do anything else to the dress. The lady said okay it'll take me 5-10 minutes to remove this you can stay here don't worry. I took the dress off and then noticed where she took out the string , the fabric now had little holes in it. This fabric is about an inch wide, very delicate and thin and now had holes in in because they used thread that was too thick or a needle that was too thick. I was panicking and alone and had no idea what to do but needed them to correct the damage they made. I gave the dress back to her and she then asked if I could come back next week so she didn't have to rush and she could make sure she did a good job. At this point I was just completely done. I said no I wouldn't be leaving without my dress today. I then spoke with the manager who took me back to watch the lady work. After a few hours there total I did get my dress and it was fixed to the point I was okay with but mostly I just didn't trust to leave my dress and I had no other option since I couldn't leave with the dress with holes in the fabric. The armholes and seems they took it weren't changed back to fit the length of the sleeves because there was no way I felt comfortable with them even trying to put them back to the original way . They didn't even offer to refund me for the sleeves which they essentially just mangled and put back to the original length I brought it in but now it was stitched up to hide the holes. I understand work went into this but the work was not what was asked for and they technically damaged my dress. You shouldn't have to pay for something that was wrong let alone something that was damaged. If you take a car to get an oil change and it comes back with no oil and a giant scratch down the car ... you don't pay for that...The manager was nice and so was the seamstress but it was 100% unacceptable. The fact I wasn't even offered a refund blows my mind and I was put in the position to have to take my dress the way they "fixed it" that day after the seamstress said to leave it for a week so she could do a good job... like does that mean because I didn't want to leave it another week she wouldn't be able to do a good job? I wish I never brought my dress to this place and I will never recommend it to anyone. read more

I was in the second wedding dress appointment of the day and when I got there I was in distress. The news of the store not having my favorites from the website was not good. The fact that they did not have my size for most dresses was bad too, as I had no time to order it, cause I bought it 7 weeks to my date. But, as everything else regarding my wedding, this story has a happy end! It was almost a miracle that I could 1. find my (discrete and tiny) dress in stock; 2. Have the alterations marked in between appointments of the seamstress (I had not booked anything with her); 3. Find my shoes, headpiece, and even a piece of underwear to flatten my belly; 4.
