My little sister is getting married, and she has never went wedding dress shopping before. We aren't exactly the most wealthy people, so going shopping for a dress was overwhelming for her. They have no dresses over $2K, so i figured this would be a good place for her to try some basics, see what shapes she likes, etc. Her stylists name was Sara, who was absolutely wonderful! She was kind, insightful, and even went the extra mile suggesting others for my sister. We also had my nephew with us who was being hyper, but everyone at the store was so understanding and kind. They didn't have a ton of options, wish there were more veil, shoe, and tighter fit wedding dresses. Once done dressing, my sister got signed up with their registry and got a cute little gift bag. I have two weddings coming up, my son and stepson. I made an appointment online, called the day before to confirm, and showed up on time for my appointment. While somebody did reserve a fitting room for me, I received no assistance beyond that and was told they were busy. Nobody apologized, nobody checked to see if I needed anything. I selected a dress on my own that I was willing to buy, but when I asked for help on sizing or ordering, I was told to come back later as this was a busy time. Why would you allow an appointment, and confirm it the day before, if you have no intention of assisting your customers? I'd have gladly come at the later time if I had known, but wasn't about to leave and go back. Horrible customer service. Never again. read more

I came in for a maid of honor dress and had to search for an employee every time I needed help and them when I selected a dress I stood at the counter waiting for at least 25 minutes wh mile the "manager" talked to a new employee! then there was zero friendliness. daughter was looking for a bridal gown and the stylist was also extremely rude! looked at his watch at least a dozen times and zero help finding a dress! this was at 6:30 in the evening so no it wasn't close to closing time! we will never be back! I had been out running errands all day, and was headed for the gym. My last stop was Target to pick up my stuff and I thought, oh! I should run into David's Bridal while I'm here. Ok? So I look a wreck..I haven't shaved my underarms, I'm dressed for the gym. I'm going to a wedding in 3 weeks and still need a dress. Not gonna lie, I was a little intimidated when I first walked in-- there was a receptionist!? She showed me where to look and I was pleasantly surprised to find a number of dresses in my size (16) to try. The first one I tried.....mmm, a no go. The next I couldn't zip. Then Jordan appeared to help me and that changed everything. She zipped me up, laughed at my jokes, listened carefully as I told what I did and did not like about each of the dresses I tried on and then went and found some great things for me. I ended up leaving happy, with a dress. Because I was shopping by myself, I asked about their return policy. They told me I could return it before the day of my event with all the tags intact. All of their written policy is 'no returns'. I'm still a little on the fence (I haven't seen anyone yet to show the dress), so I'm not sure if I would actually be able to return or not. Overall I was very pleasantly surprised by the level of service I received, especially since I looked like a hot mess. If you need something, I'd highly recommend seeing Jordan there. Oh, also the prices were much better than I had anticipated. The dresses I tried (primarily bridesmaid dresses) ranged from $50 (the first one I tried, from the clearance rack) to $195. read more

This was the worst experience I've ever had trying on dresses. The staffs support in making me feel good about even being there was wack.. they must've made quota for the month because when I came out to show what each dress looked like on me, the consultant I had said nothing to me.. as if she didn't care about my dress purchase. I'll review the service and the products separately. The bride was paired up with Karen. She was a really sweet lady who was very attentive and tried her best to find SOMETHING, ANYTHING in the store my friend was interested in. She was definitely trying to make a sale, but at a certain point she gave up and knew it was over. I felt bad for her actually. I think she knew what she was selling was snake oil. The dresses were AWFUL. The fabric is the cheapest most heinous I have ever encountered on a dress for most of the products they offer. One felt like a 200 thread count sheet with basically a zipper. If you are on a budget and you are looking for a plain dress, this is your place. There were some pretty things for the bride on a budget, but there were very basic. My friend was looking for bling and there was none to be found here. Also, they have a Oleg Cassini line that is still terrible fabric, yet wayyyyy over priced. We found better dresses at supposedly more pricey shops (Abbotts, Doreen Leaf) that were much better quality and lower in price. It was very disappointing. They did have a good selection of bridesmaid dresses and a lot of colors. Some were over priced for the fabric and quality, but others were reasonable. Send your bridesmaids here, but brides beware. read more

If I could give less than 1 star I would. I ordered my dress online so had never tried it on. When I went to pick it up I asked if I could try it on while I was there. The entire time I was trying it on and trying to have a moment with my mom and bridesmaid the sales woman kept trying to sell me all sorts of stuff. She even asked me if I wanted to buy a slimming slip? (I'm a size 6) Then she kept telling me to go ahead and change back into my clothes, I'm sure because she realized she wasn't going to sell me anything. After searching multiple dress shops for a prom dress, my family and I ended up at David's Bridal. I had a great feeling from the moment I walked in the door. I was immediately greeted by a couple ladies sitting at a table who got a room started for me. There were tons of dresses in just about every size. The dresses were also very reasonably priced. Other places I went were at least $500 and up and I was not paying $500 for a dress I would wear once. I was very satisfied with their selection and price. After finding a bunch that I liked, the consultant, Mackenzie, helped me decide which ones I liked. She even checked on ordering different sizes and different colors. She was incredibly sweet and very helpful. I would definitely return! I ended up buying my dress from here and I absolutely love it! read more

UPDATE to review: After calling DB headquarters and speaking with a corporate supervisor (Brandon), he set it up so that my daughter could take her dress to another David's Bridal and have it looked over and cleaned, and altered if we chose to do it there. He apologized for the alterations specialists (Claire) attitude at the North Canton Store. My daughter took her dress to North Olmsted store and they could not have been nicer. They had the dress that we purchased in stock in different sizes. She tried on a size 2 and it fit perfectly. They allowed her to exchange the display dress that we had purchased in a size 8. She is very happy with it. I wish this would never have happened, as it is supposed to be the happiest time before the wedding. Initial review: My daughter had chosen a dress and I purchased it that day. It even came in early. In the meantime, she had changed her wedding date to later in the year due to covid. We went so that she could try on others, and exchange her dress. No problem with that. The person who helped us was wonderful, and she and my daughter were very in tune. However, since they couldn't get the particular dress she loved until the day of her wedding, they asked if she would want the one she was trying on. The alterations specialist came out before we knew this. She seemed to immediately have a little attitude. My daughter asked questions, and was answered very curtly. then she was told that "you can only lose so much weight, your rib cage does not collapse". My daughter had ordered a size 2 in the original dress, and it fit perfectly. She wanted to order a 4 in this one. I was quite taken aback. When the alterations specialist went back into the back, after she assumed we had left, we heard her talking very nastily about the girl who was out there and wanted a size 4, but was trying an 8. (the 8 was the only one in the store to try on) So, I said "we are still here"...silence. I explained what had transpired to the manager. she offered a discount on the dress, and I told her we would have it altered elsewhere. Buying a wedding dress should be the happiest part besides the wedding. Think twice, or be prepared, if you need alterations and are doing it at this store. read more

All right so I bought my wedding dress at David's Bridal and I was really happy with the selection of dresses! A lot of their gows are really nice and honestly for the stores prices being below $2000 for the most part you really can't complain. Yes DB is for a bride on a budget but that doesn't mean all of their dresses are made cheaply. Customer service on the other hand? hit and miss! The first time I went in there I had awesome service! The girl there made it fun and was helpful and gave constructive criticism while helping with accessories. The second time I went they paired me with another girl who I didn't mesh with. Her name was Demetria and while she was nice enough I didn't feel like she cared or wanted to try to please me as much as rush me around and out the store with little interaction. I went from loving one dress to being undecided with 5 different ones and 2 were out of my price range, all except like 1 were ones she pulled. At the beginning of the appointment I had asked her if she could find a specific gown I was looking for and gave her the style number. She walked away, quickly looked through the gowns and said she didn't have it and that they must've sold the display and since it was on sale they prolly wouldnt get anymore in. Disappointed I went home and started looking up other Davids Bridal's in Ohio to try the next day because the gown she couldn't find I really liked more than the ones I found in store. Anyway the next day (yes I was in David's bridal for like 3 days straight LOL) I walked in to the same store to sign up for credit and just on the offchance asked a different girl working the desk if she had the dress I wanted. She got up walked over and immediately puled my dress that I had been asking Demetria for. I bought it without a second glance and have been happy with my purchase but not with the service I received from some of the people there. If you want a dress on a budget thats still going to be really beautiful then DB is a really good place to go just expect to do a bit of work yourself when looking for the dress you want. read more

so unfortunate that there isn't more bridal stores in this area! from the moment we entered to look at bridesmaid dresses without the bride there and they found out that the bride already purchased her dress elsewhere it was downhill! We were taken back by a newbie and she literally did nothing but stand there watching us. Wouldn't even take a dress off the hanger for my daughter which was the maid of honor. She had so many conflicting answers to simple questions and instead of asking a superior for help she made up answers. Anyway they have nothing to do with the David's Bridal online website and they will rudely tell you this! Then they start telling you stories about not to order from them online because of this or that. Yeah I get it they make commission but honestly girls go elsewhere because their selections looks like it comes from china anyways and any price cuts you are looking for you will be wearing on your wedding day! thus that's why the bride got her dress elsewhere! read more

I really wish I could give this place zero stars, but alas that's not an option. The service here is just HORRIBLE. It's BEYOND horrible, in fact. Even the managers have absolutely the worst attitudes I've ever seen in my life. For a store that DEPENDS on sales, you'd think they'd be able to at least muster up some little bit of professionalism but apparantly not. Let me start by saying that I purchased my dress here 8 years ago (because I was on a budget and it was my only option). Back then I was treated poorly but I only delt with them for an hour so it was bearable. My review however, is regarding the experiences we've had with them over the past 8 months with my sisters wedding (her dress and the bridesmaids dresses). My sister unexpectedly found her dress during her first appointment (sort of just went in to see what was out there b/c she'd only been engaged for a couple weeks). But that was early november and the dress she wanted was a bit more than she was planning to spend, so she said she'd be back after the holidays to order it. Of course the sales girl wasn't happy to hear that and walked away with a huff, mumbling obscenities under her breath, never to be seen again. Generally, if you want someone to come back to buy something from you, you'd keep a smile on your face for the last 5 minutes and actually stick around. Anyway, my mom had to find a manager before they left to tell her which dress they'd chosen and that they wanted to be notified if it went on sale or was discontinued in the next couple months before they could get back in to order it. The manager put it all into the computer and assured her she'd alert her to any changes. My sister went back in a couple months later to show one of the bridesmaids the bm dress she'd picked out and to order her dress, only to find that it had been discontinued weeks before and they'd never told her. They said they might be able to find one from another store that had been tried on (but she'd have to pay FULL PRICE). After weeks and weeks, they found one. Only for it to arrive with a stain....for which I repeat...she paid FULL PRICE and could not get a refund. So whatever, she dealth with it. When it came time to order the bridesmaid dresses my mom specifically asked that we deal with a manager so that we MIGHT have a better chance of getting decent service. The manager assured her that she would be there and handle the appointment herself. We got there only to find out that she wasn't scheduled to work that day and there was NO manager on duty that day. During the appointment, the girl was really rude and was having US take dresses back and forth to other people for her b/c she was "busy with a bride" (apparantly it is their policy for every sales girl to have more than one appointment at a time which doesn't exactly improve the already poor service). She also asked us for our sizes (very loudly) in front of everyone. Not really a big deal but 4 of us aren't exactly skinny so it was very embarrassing to have to say our sizes in front of 10 people and 25 strangers. But I digress... So when we ordered our dresses (all of which were the exact same dress in the exact same color) one girl was charged $30 more for the dress than the rest of us and it was ordered in a completely different color. So she said "Well just cancel the order, refund me the money and order the correct dress". But apparantly the Davids Bridal system isn't set up like a normal human being would think it was. It is now almost 2 weeks later and that girl STILL doesn't have her money back and still doesn't have the correct dress ordered. So again, my mom called and asked to speak with the manager. She asked her when the situation would be rectified to which the manager said "Well, if you're so unhappy with us, I'll just cancel all the dresses and you can go somewhere else." It was just unreal. Instead of APPOLOGIZING (because the mistake was THEIRS), FIXING the situation and acting like a grown-up she acted like a petulant child who can't imagine why everyone isn't bowing down to her. God only knows when the girl will have her money back and when she'll get the correct dress ordered. Whatever you do, DO NOT buy ANYTHING here. The service is absolutely horrendous! Also I know someone who used to work here and she said all the sales girls used to make fun of all the brides and bridesmaids in the back and call them fat etc. Go somewhere where you will be treated with some RESPECT, not yelled at for THEIR mistakes and made fun of. ***Updated...the girl didn't get her money back for over a MONTH. Then when the dresses came in we all got hostile phone calls that we needed to pick them up in 3 business days or they'd sell them or send them back. Even though we'd all already PAID for them IN FULL. I was on vacation when mine came in so I had to try to find someone that could drive all the way up there to pick it up for me. So again I say, NEVER purchase ANYTHING here. read more

Today was the second terrible experience I've had at the canton david's bridal. All due to the HORRIBLE customer service. They are RUDE - especially on the phone. I was calling as a bridesmaid, but will definitely no longer consider going there for my personal wedding services. I live much closer to canton than columbus, but there's a world of difference with the customer service there. I wrote a letter notifying management of my first terrible experience, and nothing was done. No further contact to help or attempt to make up for it. If it wasn't for the dublin store who treated me so kindly, I would forgo any business with the company alltogether. read more

I came here to get a dress for my wedding. I found a dress that I absolutely loved and it fit well, however the consultant was more concerned with other people then me...perhaps its because I knew exactly what I wanted or maybe because I am a "bigger" person. Sadly disappointed that when I picked up my dress and tried it on that the consultant tried to "bully" me into getting the undergarments and said that" I wouldn't look good if I didn't buy them" This is not something someone wants to hear when picking up their wedding dress. My bridesmaid had made a mistake with ordering her dress she meant to have it shipped to her house but had it shipped to the canton location .. I called and talked with a male I can't remember his name but he was very nice and helpful , he told me he could have it shipped to me for free.. Unfortunately, this is one of the only bridal shops that carries plus sizes in stock, if it weren't I'd never go back. We had horrible customer service at both dress appointments we made. It felt like they didn't want to wait on us (either because we weren't 20, or we were fat) the first appointment was for my mother, who is the bride, the associate wouldn't let us have more than three dresses at a time, when all the other women around us had tons of dresses! She didn't listen to what we were asking for, but finally did find a dress at least. The Second appointment was for bridesmaid dresses for my sister and I. The second associate kept getting called away to help other people, or just walked away. When we were ready to order & pay, the associate was given another customer and a lengthy explanation while we were made to wait. The lady who placed our order left us at the register to "answer a question" for another customer, even though all we had to do was hand her cash. Then got mad that I would be upset she did that! Their alterations department is a joke. They charge you hundreds of dollars only to mess it up. Then, after they mess up your wedding gown that you took hours to choose, they try and blame you for gaining or losing weight and want you to pay them even more money to fix THEIR mistake. I work for a small retailer, and I know customer service. And David's Bridal in Canton Ohio stinks at it. I finally got my dress back, done, and noticed they had also sewn in the loops that were supposed to hold my sash. So, they've officially messed my dress up three times now. I will never go back there again. If you MUST use them, have your alterations done somewhere else. read more

I bought a dress from this store 2 years ago and now am going to get married in 8 months. Unfortunately, the girls grew and I need alterations because it no longer fits. When I got there to put on my dress to see about what needed done, they were rude about helping me put on my under garments. I had to ask multiple times for help and everyone acted like they didn't want to do it. After getting the outrageous price for the alterations, I said I wanted to try on some dresses that I could buy for the same price or a little bit more. When I walked out, they told me if I'm going to spend the money to just alter my current dress and not to try on any others. Last time I checked, I was the bride, this is my wedding and my money. If I wanted to try on dresses and spend more that's my decision and would actually help their business. Everyone disappeared when I said I wanted to try some on and wanted my bridesmaids to try on dresses too. I told the lady at the front and she had the same rude girl come help me. Again, she was rude about helping with the under garments and trying on two dresses. I told my bridesmaid something my mother told me on the phone and she interjected and made a rude comment about my mom's opinion. I wasn't talking to her and the comment was unnecessary. I will not be returning for the alterations, another dress or my bridesmaid dresses. The service was absolutely appalling. Rudest experience ever. read more

I came into the store this morning to try on the dress for my grandma and a family friend. My grandma doesn't live near me so it was important for her to see it especially since my mother is no longer living. What was supposed to be a great day was spoiled by a rude lady in alterations. Her name is Maria and she continuously walked by us and wouldn't say excuse me or answer any of our questions. My family was extremely taken back by this because every David's Bridal we've visited so far have been amazing for us. Going to the Canton store and dealing with Marie's rude behavior has made me think about future purchases at this store. I have several bridesmaids near this location but it makes me wonder if they'll be treated the same. Maybe Maria should go through customer service training again. read more

I got engaged in January and have been waiting since then to go dress shopping for my wedding. I Did not have a good Experience at this Davids Bridal. I can't remember my consultants name but her last name was smith, she did not seem happy I had 7 people come to assist me in picking my dress, when it come to picking dresses for me to try she asked me what I would like and then picked 3 dresses for me to try on, she did not give me the chance to look for myself, I went in to half an aisle to look and then she pulled me into the changing room. My consultant seemed pissed off the whole time and did not seem happy to be there at all. When it came toward the end of my appointment and I said I was not 100% sure I wanted any of the dresses smith got, what seemed to be angry because she did not make a sale. I would not recommend going into the Davids bridal in Canton, they were not very helpful at all. I will say that the next day I did go to Davids Bridal in Fairlawn and received fantastic service from all there consultants, I had the chance to look at the dresses myself and I did purchase my dress there and am very happy with it. read more

Most horrible dress shopping experience ever! I went in long before my wedding date, and told the consultant repeatedly that I was only trying to get ideas. The third dress I tried on (and I had been looking at it online for months) I liked. The consultant told me that it was on sale and the sale ended that day. I told her I had tried on THREE dresses, and hardly had an idea if this would be the dress for me. She was visibly irritated, so my mother and I left the store and I returned the next day hoping to have a different consultant. No such luck, Jackie (the horrible consultant) was still working, and I tried on another two dresses with NO help from her and then she placed me back into dress three from the day before. She then proceeds to tell me that the sale ended THAT day on a dress which was supposedly not on sale anymore. I finally, out of frustration, told her that I had seen the dress online for months and it was ALWAYS that price, and they still had the dress online in every size, so I hardly think it was going to go anywhere! Brides beware. These ladies work on commission and want you to buy THAT day, off the rack. So not only will they lie to you and scheme their way into making a sale by any means possible, but you will be trying on a cheap quality dress that dozens of other brides have tried on. David's prices CAN be beat. "Dress Three" was around 700, and I found an Allure dress for only a few hundred dollars more that was a fantastic quality lace at Coming Attractions in Tallmadge. Go anywhere but here. I highly suggest Universe Bridal in Coshocton/West Lafayette if you don't mind the drive. Places like Linde's, Abbotts, Catan, etc have plenty of good quality dresses at good prices with MUCH better service. Not to mention you won't be buying a sample dress off the rack and can order in a new one. read more

The bride and I ended up having to travel to this location to exchange my dress for a larger size. None were available online so I was directed to this store, they had the size that I needed that had been used for trying on. I had no problem exchanging except for when we arrived we were handed the dress and the lady who was "helping" us said she would be on the front if we needed her. (We were the only customers in the store except for one person!) I was hesitant to even try to dress on for the zipper was ripped from the dress in TWO different spots, there was a stain on the front, and a snag in the back of the dress! Although they offered to fix the zipper and stain, nothing could be done with the snag. We POLITELY opted to go with a different size at a different location. When we asked the salesperson to call another store to put the other size on hold until we could drive there (that night) she proceeded to tell that store that I RIPPED the dress when trying it on! it's amazing how it only took two employees to ruin an entire experience. Both the products and service at this location are unlike any other David's that I've been to in the past. Completely surprised and disappointed all at once. I will give my business to any other location. read more

I recently have bought a bridesmaids dress as well as a wedding dress for myself at this location. Kat Speer was SUPER helpful in finding my wedding dress. I was in an out in less than 45 minutes and she knew the look I was exactly looking for when I described it to her. The prices there for alterations are extremely pricey, but the women that work there are all super sweet and nice. Very helpful place to go. Just suggest taking the dress somewhere else to be altered! read more
