I've been to David's Bridal for many occasions. I have countless bridesmaid dresses from here, and I have friends who purchased their wedding gowns here. Many years ago, I didn't enjoy coming here. They once convinced me to add a built in bra with cups 3 sizes too small in a bridesmaid dress and it was ridiculously uncomfortable and unpractical. But, since I've been here twice on separate occasions in the last few months, the service has greatly improved. Two of my very close friends got engaged this year, and they both came here for bridal appointments. The gown selection is somewhat small, but there's definitely enough variety. They let us pick out gowns for the girls to try, and the consultants picked out gowns for them as well. It was a great experience both times, and one of the girls even found her gown here! Special shoutout to Jacinda- she was the ultimate sweetheart. Hopefully we will be cooking back here for bridesmaid dresses soon! read more

This place is amazing! I made an appt to shop for my wedding dress on Sunday June 6 @ 12pm. My stylists name was Sofia, she's super sweet and really good at her job lol I wasn't expecting to buy anything considering it was my first time ever trying on wedding dresses. She brought me all kinds of accessories and just really completed the look, it all brought tears to my girls eyes. The manager I think her name was Jasmine, I hope I'm right! I walked in yesterday to try on my dress that I purchased about two weeks ago...after seeing myself in the mirror I didn't feel confident AT ALL. The dress was way too tight..especially on my bum area. I was not aware/told that I should've ordered a size up. I started panicking and luckily Gladys was able to help me find the dress of my dreams!!!!! She was so tentative and kind to not only me but every single person that was with me. She was able to become my bridal consultant right there and then, she didn't even think twice about it! She knew I needed help & quickly!! (I'm getting married this April lol) She walked me to the dresses and asked me questions and together we looked through all the dress. She offered us water, she was ALWAYS there when I would walk out of the dressing room, and she even got a hold of the alterations department to get any questions answered for me. I said yes to the dress today March 12 The staff is on top of their work! I had an appointment at 1230 and i arrived at 12 Apple was so attentive and ready for me, she was so easy to talk too and eager to know all the details i was looking for in a dress. Apple found a few dresses right away... and i loved each one of them. They were all different, but my style that i was looking for. I found my dress within one hour!!! So, 8 years later I'm updating this review and added TWO STARS (yay!). This time, I'm the bride and I brought my girls here for their bridesmaids dresses. I came in separately with my sisters, so they could try on some dresses for me. I made the decision that because of the variety of body shapes of my babes that I would have everyone chose their own based on some criteria I had. I cannot remember who helped us which is such a bummer, but I requested after meeting her during a prior visit with my sister. She was SO patient (I have SEVEN very opinionated and loud bridesmaids) and really helped steer the girls to the right dress for them. If youre going to go look at dresses, do yourself a favor and book and appointment with Jasmine. This was the 4th store I had been to and Jasmine made the experience wonderful. I hate picking and trying on dresses, its not fun for me. But Jasmine started off asking about the wedding, tryingto envision it for herself and the look that I was going for. She helped pick out several dresses that all looked amazing and even got my moms approval! I think she would have kept picking dresses for me to try on if I hadnt stopped her lol. I would like to start by saying I dreaded going wedding dress shopping because I'm not a size 2 and Valena made my dress shopping better then I even anticipated. I had bought a bridesmaids dress at David's bridal in Monrovia and the staff was so unbelievably rude and unprofessional that I didn't want to purchase a dress through David's Bridal but I decided to try a different location and I'm so glad I did. I bought my dress from David's Bridal in February (sorry this review is so late!). I went in twice to try on dresses. Both times Yesenia helped me. She was awesome! She was so sweet, and never made me feel rushed or like I was trying on too many dresses. With her help, I found the most beautiful dress! I had an alteration appointment yesterday for my bridal gown, and it was a great experience! Elena, the alterations manager, was fantastic. She was knowledgeable, efficient, and detailed. She made more alterations than I was expecting, but the dress looks and feels so much better. Elena has such an eye for detail, and as she says, she is "picky," but in the best way possible. Elena also treated the other employees with respect, and seems to have a great relationship with them. If you need your dress altered, please go see this sweet lady at David's Bridal! read more

The 5 stars is for alterations only. The store itself is a 2 star in my opinion. Customer service in the main store is alright. Hit or miss. Mainly a miss. Nothing special, don't come here to expect your champagne traditional picking your dress deal Go shop elsewhere to get that experience, find your style THEN come here and get it. Trust a fellow bride. It's sort of a Costco for wedding dresses- beautiful- great sales- but you'll have to look for the hidden gym you can alter. Reality: Finding the EXACT dress of your dreams? Forget it. Finding a dress that you can get at a GREAT the competitors have maybe at double or triple the price (trust me, I'm a crazy shop until I find the best deal bride) price AND THEN turn it into the dress of your dreams- CHECK! Reality: Now you have the dress at a great price and the vision to turn it into a princess dress o your dreams, find an alterations place you trust to do this. IMPOSSIBLE. Then I found Elena. She is the alterations manager here and God knows why because she is A MILLION times better than a Davids Bridal( this is a compliment to the store as well they're lucky as heck to have her!!) Elena is literally the sweetest. You have the vision she will make it happen. Trust me I looked and wasted my time looking everywhere else and still came back here. I do have to say you will have to remind her of your appointment dates but she'll never forget the wedding date and the date and time you need the dress rest assure. To sum this up, go to a fancy boutique to shop and get the bridal experience you want, come knowing the size/ style/ shape you want and buy it here at a discount- seriously I paid 1/4 of the price and alterations made it all possible. This David's Bridal Staff especially the Manager, are all Thieves and Liars! I bought a dress for my daughter, she was having her 1st dance. We looked for a month and couldn't find one. Out of desperation I took us to David's Bridal in Brea, thinking it would be classier. The helper was like a robot and when we she was wrapping up the dress she put the dress on the hanger all warped. I didn't want to sound mean so I let it slide as long as it was on. Then she just stuffed the rest. The next day my daughter told me that the dance was canceled! So I took the dress back on Sunday. And let them know that we hadn't even opened the bag since we left this store. The manager, when upon opening the bag saw the way it was placed on the hanger and made a huge gasping noise. I told her about the staff putting in on like that. She became immediately defensive! She stated Our Staff would never! Right away I should e started recording! She ripped the dress on purpose so that she could say I couldn't return it. I called the police they came into the store but sided with the manager because they had no legal authority to charge the store with theft. I will never set foot in one of there stores again. The ONLY reason I am taking my time to leave a review is because of the young lady who helped us. Sofia was the most patient, understanding and helpful employee we could ever ask for. She went out of her way to fit us all into a dressing room area (that we did not have an appointment for) and continued to check on us. Not only was she polite and helpful , she knew SO MUCH! She was able to help on on shades, material, sizes and more. When other employees didn't have the answer , Sofia came through to save the day. I knew that I wanted to try on a couple of Melissa Sweet gowns but she went and grabbed other designers with similar styles and even sifted through the clearance to see if there was anything I'd like in there. My wedding date was moved up to be in a month and a half and I was afraid I wouldn't be able to find a dress I liked that I could afford under such short notice. I visited this location and was informed that while you're supposed to make an appointment, they were able to get me a time slot immediately! Cori was so friendly and helpful! I saw that she had a lot to do but she asked me what I was looking for and was happy to help. I found my dress in less than five minutes and only had to try on two before I found "the one". Upon starting the appointment, you know immediately that she is very knowledgeable and only wants you to look radiant in your garment for your big day. She walks you through every step of the process, explaining what she is doing and why. She offers suggestions/options so that you can make informed decisions. With years of experience under her belt, I left the alterations appointment confident that I will be absolutely stunning once everything is done. I was placed next to another girl trying on dresses and on the brink of deciding and my consultant was nowhere to be found for 45 minutes because she was helping the other girl. So back in February I went to purchase my dress which Jasmine was my consultant. She was really helpful and made my experience even more special. When I received my dress, even though I loved the design and the alterations team did their best to fix what I disliked it, they ultimately couldn't. I reached out to customer service and the reps were amazing! I spoke to a manager Louisa who made sure I got a resolution that would satisfied me for my big day ! I went back in store and had Jasmine as my consultant again, she probably helped me try on 10 different dresses but none were "the one". Candice who was overseeing my situation came in and I was able to describe to her what I liked out of all the dresses I tried on and found me "The one ". My situation was a stressful one, especially since my wedding is 3 weeks away. I am extremely thankful for Jasmine, Candice, Joanna and Louisa for working with me to make sure I look and feel beautiful on my big day ! read more

Valena was my stylist and I highly recommend her. I had a miscommunication for appointment scheduling on the phone the day before as they made me schedule alterations. I showed up and I was told I did not have an appointment for trying on. Luckily, they were able to find me an area with my family and part time stylist so I can try on dresses that day. Luckily, I was assigned to Valena as my stylist. Valena displayed customer service, professionalism, expertise, friendliness and more during my visit with her. What could of been a disaster and a horrible experience with David's bridal was turned around. She made me feel like I was shopping at a high luxury brand with her insights while being so friendly and approachable. I highly suggest David's bridal to have other team members train with her as she was the main reason of my successful visit. I found my dress after 3 try ons and she was able to accessorize my dress outstandingly. Valena is a professional in her field and it showed. Highly suggest to ask for her and don't bother with anyone less experienced. read more

They saved the wedding. My aunt had a horrible experience at a Huntington park dress shop. We drove right to David's and they were able to accommodate us with an on the spot appointment. Everyone was amazing ! I didn't get the names of the lovely young ladies but we went on Friday around 3 pm. Jasmine Jasmine Jasmine!!! Jasmine is 5 stars all the way. Helped us through the challenging process of choosing a unique body shape and sized dress. The store overall I would give a 3.5 stars, but Jasmine made it a 5 star experience. Definitely a step up from the Windsor craziness of disorganization of dresses. However the price is high for the quality of a lot of what was offered. The selection was decent, the size range was good but the prices were a little high. Where to even begin with this location and there customer service. I am the bride and unfortunately sad to say had a terrible experience with Davids bridal in brea. Unfortunately I cannot get these memories of me wanting to have a pleasant time finding my dress back again. My first appt there was made for the bridal party and the bride (me) I was asked to sign in and I did. My bridal party was helped with finding there dresses which took such a long time because they literally had one girl running back and forth while the other 3 (one being the manager Lauren) were up front chatting about who knows what. It took forever to bring my bridesmaids there dresses to try on and this poor girl who was helping us was being pulled by other parties there too. Of course when all my bridesmaids were done they then told me there was no time for me (the bride) to find a dress because they were too busy and all booked. Mind you I had an appt for myself and had already signed in they just never came to get me. So of course my bridesmaids fought for me to get it and well I did. ( Tell me why myself and one other bride were the only ones trying on dresses) but yet they were all booked???? Anyhow I did find a dress and I was happy about that but the customer service was just terrible. Now for the 2nd visit. ALterations... I thought my first appt was bad! This one was definitely one for the books! I was given an appt of 8 p.m. to go and have alterations done. I get a call at around 7ish asking if I could be there earlier because my alterations would take longer then an hour and they close at 9...My question!!! Why are you just calling me now???? to tell me to get there earlier and why was an appt of 8 p.m. even given to me when the store closes at 9 and alterations take anywhere from 1 hr 30 min to 2 hrs!!!! Of course I tell them Id be there as soon as I could because I was in Irvine and I had to pick up my mom who wanted to be with me since she was finally feeling okay after going through chemo . ( We were just informed she has stage 4 cancer) and so of course she wants to be by my side every step of the way. So we get to Davids bridal and are told by the manager Lauren (why is she even a manager. She has no people skills!!!) To go to back of store where alterations are. So we walk back and cannot find it. We are walking around. Did anyone think to walk us back or tell us where to go or introduce us to the seamstress??? Nope! We finally find where to go and Elena (bless her heart) sweetest lady ever. Super helpful, funny and makes you feel special then starts to do what she needs to do. During this time, they are rushing her to finish. They cannot find payment for an alterations payment I had already made. So my maid of honor is having to run back and forth giving them information on my payment. They arent coming to us she is going back and forth. Lauren never once came to us being that she was the manager there that night, all she was worried about was trying to get us out. I honestly could go on and on. Lets just say this night ended horrible. We were definitely rushed, things werent explained, my mom was upset, I was upset, we asked Lauren who the manager was so we could call the next day and talk to manager about our experience, never once did she say she was a part of management team. Heck she wouldnt even look us in the eye when she responded to our questions. Just so rude!!!!! SO much more to say but Im sure you all get the point, If I got the chance to start over I would never ever chose to go to this location again, Something that could have been so memorable for me and my mom, me and my bridesmaids was taken from us. And I cannot say how frustrated it makes me feel, how sad it makes me, I tear up just thinking of my experience as a bride read more

Made an appointment last week but I feel like my "stylist" had 5 other girls besides me.. She was nice but she just gave us a lottttttt of space. I felt like it was almost pointless to make an appointment.. since my bridesmaids and I basically figured everything out on our own. The gf's put 2 dresses on my wishlist and we left. Today..another one of my bridesmaids from up north called and they couldn't find it. She found my name but couldn't access the wishlist. Pointless to make a wishlist.. ? Lol.. I've been to a couple David's bridal stores in Northern and Southern California. I've had horrible experiences in all of them. This one was the same as the rest. Although I starting to hate them all, this is just my review at this particular location. I like that they have a variety of styles, colors, and locations but overall customer experience for me has been horrible. I ordered a David's bridal dress from the store in Costa Mesa with a fellow bridesmaid but I came to this location for alterations. All I needed was a hem and it cost approximately $90 which I think is ridiculous! I already spent $200 on the dress and now I am spending almost half as much just for a freaking hem. Not happy at all. I'm short though and since I ordered from David's bridal I didn't think it cost too much. Then I'm told I can only pick it up on a certain day on a Wednesday at 11am about 6 weeks later. I explained to them that I work during the day and if I can pick up later. All she responds is that yeah everybody works during the day. So now I am stuck taking a entire day off of work to just pick up my freaking dress! Overall I like the selection that they have at the stores but I have never been satisfied with their customer service. I do not recommend David's bridal anywhere! When you think wedding/bridesmaid dresses most peoples first thought is Davids bridal. At least I know that's my first thought. They have so many options of wedding dresses, bridesmaids dresses, flower girl dresses, mother of the bride dresses, and also tuxedos. They also sell heels and hair accessories along with veils. Pretty much anything you need to look the part on your big day. The reason I cant give them 5 stars is because of their prices. They are definitely more expensive than other stores. A lot of the dresses are not the cutest either, but they do have a variety selection of beautiful dresses. For my wedding I went elsewhere and found my dream dress and it was affordable. I had to come here for a wedding that I am in. The bride had already picked out the dress so I just had to come and get fitted. The girl who helped me was super nice and helpful when I was decided which size I wanted to go with. When I decided I went to check out and was helped by a different girl who was just as nice. The dress wasn't going to make it in time but she called and got everything worked out. I received an email that my dress was ready which was nice. I'm glad I check my emails though because they didn't call so I would have not known it was ready. Today I went to pick it up and didnt have to wait. It was so fast I didn't even have time to check in while waiting. They had my dress all ready and the girl was so nice about it. I was very happy with service I received here. read more

We were met at the door by Joanna, an absolutely lovely young lady who stayed with my wife and helped us throughout the whole selection process. Lauren is probably the most rude and impatient person you'd ever meet in a managerial position. My fiance was looking forward to this day her entire life. Against my wishes because of the horror stories that I've heard about this particular location, she decided to get her wedding dress and alterations at the Brea store. This entire experience has placed a huge hindrance upon our engagement and wedding planning. It did far more harm than good and has really stressed out my fiance. Unfortunately the experience that she was hoping for will never happen. Stay away from this location, especially if you need alterations done.
