    I was the only one in my circle of friends and colleagues that had a positive (not to mention, glowing) experience with my homebuilder. The team at David Weekley made us feel valued, informed, and special and by the end of the process, they felt like they were our friends. David Weekley really cares that you love the home they build for you. Our home is beautiful and all we want to do is host our friends and family in it! Thank you David Weekley for building us the home of our dreams.

    Water not draining

    It's a money pit! Bad rep both in Dallas & Houston. I bought a 2020 home in Houston from another owner in 2022 and all I have been doing is major repairs like it needs a French drain bcz water keep accumulating on one side of the fence they will not repair it costing me $2,000 on top of other repairs like the sprinkler pipe busted it cost me $250. There has been water heater issue pilot light keeps going off. HVAC issue with thermostat was inoperable. David Weekely warranty company was not much help. Just like the name it's a Weakly not built quality , service warranty sucks, it's not worth your pocket book. Harvest Green in Richmond, Texas! Overpriced homes.

At this point in the building process, from sales, to design, cabinets, low voltage, and landscape, the process has been seamless. Our builder and sales team have kept us updated on the construction phases, approximately every 1-2 weeks. This has been important to us since we currently live in the eastern part of the US and are unable to visibly see the weekly changes. We hope that any potential issues that may arise after we close on our home, will still be taken care of accurately and efficiently. Therefore following in the steps of the excellent customer service that David Weekley has provided thus far. Our goal is to have a very high quality built home with very few hiccups, during the building process and for future years to come. I do see in previous reviews, where other customers have had some issues after they have closed on their new homes. Therefore, I will update here accordingly throughout or after the building process. I recently read another DW Yelp review left by a David Weekley customer who had a home built in the Atlanta GA area, this review attached here. I thought it was interesting that we are also having to deal with similar problems, (in a completely different DW area of the country) regarding fixing issues, due to faulty workmanship. The only difference is that David Weekley is addressing our issues and working on getting the problems fixed as soon as possible. As long as our problems get fixed correctly, then we will be pleased. But it is unfortunate that DW would want to close on our our home and other customer's homes, knowing that their contractors have not completed all their work correctly. Hoping DW makes some changes in a positive way, going forward, to please their customers and make sure their contractors perform quality work before the closings. A bit discouraging, considering the time and money invested by the buyer!

    I will never buy nor refer anyone to buy a David Weekly Home. My home is falling apart around me. I have contacted David Weekly and was told I had a one year guarantee. Four years after buying my home my bedroom ceiling fell in, I am having electrical problems and accor to several roofers my r wasn't installed properly. Please if you buy a David Weekly home have your inspector inspect the house yourself. I have not been in this house fifteen years.

    This is the sod they gave us in June. Today, 10/3/22, it looks the same.

    The employees of David Weekley Homes are friendly and responsive but the workmanship is poor. They use zero quality vendors to build their homes and apparently no one from DWH is checking the work or doing any type of quality control monitoring. We chose white painted brick which is an expensive upgrade. The builder uses red brick to paint it white. They only give one coat of paint but they don't tell you that. The paint comes off easily. We are missing a sprinkler and 19 shrubs that were included in the price of the house. We paid for an extended patio. The day we closed there were footprints in the concrete of the patio. It was completed weeks before closing but DWH didn't bother to correct it until we asked them to. The cabinets and interior doors were painted poorly, you can see the scratches in the paint. Almost every upgrade we paid for has a defect. They painted the hardware on every door and cabinet...that shouldn't be, you can Google that. The paint is starting to peel on the hardware and it looks bad. We've been in our house 7 months. One of the upgraded doors is uneven. They laid new sod in June, that looked dead, while other home builders were laying down green sod at the same time. Those homes have green grass and we still have dead sod after watering it 3 times a day. The floors had gaps from day one when we closed. Nobody from DWH is checking the work. The shower tile is uneven. David Weekley will repair anything that you CATCH, which is part of the problem. YOU have to figure out what's missing, damaged or wrong. These are cosmetic things that an inspector does not look for. Airco put the ducts in backwards for the AC but it passed inspection. The bedroom was hot but the rest of the house was cool. The doorbell was so far away from the door, when we installed the doorbell ring it was useless. DWH has repaired most of what we've reported. Thankfully we work from home but we weren't happy about the traffic of strangers in the house while COVID-19 is still a thing. If you have to go in to an office for work, be prepared to use most of your vacation time for scheduling repairs at your house. The popular phrase is, "well nothing is perfect". I think we should all strive for perfection especially when you're in the business of selling goods. Put your best foot forward from the beginning. Home ownership is still a dream for many. We chose David Weekley to build our dream home which is one of the most happiest moments you can have in life. This has been the most stressful and upsetting process for no good reason. Customer service is more than being nice, it's effective communication and giving people what they paid for upfront.

    We bought our Weekly Home in Fronterra Sub San Antonio. We were happy with the purchase process but once we got into the home it has been horrible! The wiring was done so poorly that we've had the electrician out multiple times and all they want to do is change out bulbs! Twice when we had them out and they actually did something, they said it looked like a 'drunk person' wired our house! They've had to rewire the air conditioner, a switch in a bedroom and a bathroom fan they kept running when the power was off. The painter removes the blue tape we put on the walls for touch up and then doesn't do all the touch ups. They painted over gold hinges on the doors even though my knobs were nickel and as we opened and closed doors the paint rubbed off. They did replace the hinges but tried to convince me it is a standard practice. The tub in the upstairs bathroom was a different color than the sink and toilet and didn't match counter tops. When they came to replace the tub, they did a lousy job with the tile and it doesn't match the original spacing. They claim they'll fix this but have made no effort. The tile has grout stains which I was told from our move in day, that they had a cleaner to get that cleaned up, but they haven't brought us any cleaner, nor have they done it. We have loose bricks out front and I'm sure I'm forgetting something. They also came in to fix lights in two bathrooms that were installed upside down. They ended up scratching up the mirror in the master bedroom which the electrician tried to tell me was minor and that I wouldn't be able to see it but it was very noticeable. I understand that Covid has played a minor part it the timing of getting things done but they are still building a bunch of houses and we have told them that we could distance and make it easy for them to get things done. I also agree that there contractors are very sketchy. We have seen garbage left behind cabinets and covered up, drinking while they are working and working unsupervised. The DWH builders aren't checking on the subs and the subs don't seem to have a supervisor that makes them clean up, drive decent, be respectful of the residents and not drink! Twice, recently I have reached out to Sarah Kelley's project manager, C., left messages with his assistant, and have received no response. I am in the service industry and if I treated my customers the way DWH's does, I would be out of business. If it weren't for Melissa Beckett, I would have written this review weeks ago!

    Terrible experience with a sales associate named Mark Chapman at daybreak. Would not recommend this builder to anyone. Plenty of choices
