David Keen has been my dentist for over 10 years. He does amazing, painless work. So painless, in fact, you can't even tell you a cavity filled the day before. He is truly passionate and dedicated to making sure both the health and the aesthetic of your teeth are at their optimal best. He's a perfectionist - genuinely concerned with every little detail, and making sure your bite is perfect and you leave his office without a hint of discomfort. He's communicative, warm, and accessible. I've never had a better dentist. read more

This office is great! I've been here twice now, and both times have been fantastic. The staff is always so kind, friendly, and welcoming, which makes such a difference. The office itself has a very nice and inviting atmosphere. Dr. Keen is awesome, very polite, friendly, and really makes you feel comfortable. I've had a great experience overall and would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great dentist ! Thanks for the great work, and the amazing views ! read more

I had such a wonderful experience with Dr. Keen and his team. Dr. Keen is an amazing dentist--he was incredibly thorough, kind, knowledgeable, and very fair. He took the time to explain everything clearly and made me feel completely comfortable and confident in my care. I also have to mention the dental assistants, Antonella and Jessica as well as our hygienist, Adrian! They were so amazing and helpful--friendly, attentive, and truly went above and beyond to make the entire visit smooth and pleasant. I'm so grateful to have found such a caring and professional dental team. Highly recommend.! read more

I put this review off for a long time to write as levelheaded as possible. Dr. Keen cut a corners and in my Invisalign process, while also charging exorbitantly. Years later, I'm still experiencing issues. There's no upfront transparency with pricing, at the end of visits he'd jot down some numbers on a blank piece of paper to give to his secretary. They were never the same price as I was quoted initially. Whilst working on my teeth, when I would wince or show ostensible signs of discomfort, instead of easing up or asking if I needed a break, he seemed more frustrated and worked more aggressively. In my many visits he also made sure to talk about his celebrity clients. In general, you could find a better dentist within a stones throw that has more transparent and reasonable pricing. Definitely not hard to find someone with a better attitude, and more ethical business practices. read more

Hands down the best dentist I've ever been too. I was hesitant at first because I didn't make much money at the time and delta dental is a load of shit on what they claim they will cover BUT I'm so happy I moved forward with Dr.Keen! He changed my whole smile to one of my dreams! When I was a kid I always wanted perfect teeth and when I had my implant done at 17 I cried at how awful it looked. I have a complicated case with it being in the front of my mouth, type 1 diabetic and being next to a tooth that was damaged from a dirt biking accident. When my implant got infected I had to take it out but four different dentist turned me away. Said it was too complicated and didn't want to risk ruining my face (their words not mine). Dr Keen was confident but not cocky and made me feel confident in him and who he had referred me to get it taken out with a bone graph. He's also kept an eye on my front damaged tooth where others said I need to have it removed. He did gum shaving to match the otherside, a Marilyn bridge and bonding on my other tooth to help it match in size and coloring. Then last was the whitening and I now have a smile that's complimented on the regular and I'm no longer self conscious of it! I couldn't go to him for a year due to loss of insurance and he made sure to call me and get me in with making it affordable for Dr. Keen I love you and forever grateful for the absolutely amazing art work you did on this smile of mine! I can't forget to add that his entire staff is just as lovable and will try their very best to accommodate you in any way they can! I may be moving to Texas but I'll still only get the big stuff done with Dr. Keen! Before and after his artwork read more

I give this office 100 STARS! Super welcoming, the staff is so professional and nice, the office vibe is very relaxing and harmonious. You can feel that everyone is truly happy to be there. But the star is truly Dr. Keen! He fixed my front chipped tooth and matched it perfectly. And I have 20/20 vision :) I am so very grateful to Dr. Keen and the staff for the great work. read more

I've been a patient of Dr. Keen's for a very long time, close to twenty years now. He is that rarest of professionals - a doctor who looks you in the eye and listens. I am so grateful to him and his staff for their care, their wisdom, and kindness. I cannot recommend this office enough. Dr. Keen has never tried to hard-sell a procedure, never patronized, or made me feel ashamed for forgetting to floss. (I'm from a generation where dentists would give you candy after a good check-up. 'Nuff said?). I honestly don't know what I'd do without him. For now, I'm just grateful that he's still young and in wonderful health. This is a great dentist! read more

This office is amazing! The quality of care from Dr. Keen is superb, the staff are excellent, and the vibe of the office is very relaxing. It had been a long time since I saw a dentist and I had a broken tooth. Dr. Keen took an x-ray and photo of my tooth. He showed me the x-ray and there was a crack in my molar tooth. Fortunately, Dr. Keen fixed my tooth with a beautiful white filling, and saved my tooth from needing a crown. My bite feels perfect now. Also, I recently had a cleaning with his hygienist and it was really good. My teeth feel so clean! Overall, my experience was excellent and I would highly recommend the office to anyone looking for an amazing, kind, punctual and skilled dentist. To Dr. Keen and all his staff -- Thank you for the great work! read more

Well...I sure wish I were not writing this review! So, I hadn't had a cavity as an adult and I'm 56. In 2022, after 4 months of using sleep gummies, my regular dentist told me i needed 10 fillings and 2 crowns. He and i were shocked! I decided to go to a specialist as I wanted to decrease my chances of a root canal with the crowns. I went to keen for his opinion. He said it's 6 fillings and no crowns actually. I was thrilled! All of the fillings were at the gum line. The first appointment was the most painful dental appointment I've ever had and I had had 4 veneers, a root canal (due to the veneer), 13 baby teeth pulled, 4 permanent molars, 4 impacted wisdom teeth and about 8 fillings as a kid that I then had replaced with porcelain as an adult (all with only novacaine) . I asked for more number and he gave it to me, but it still was just as painful. At the end I asked him, I don't get the pain level as I could not feel the drilling but I had burning hot pain at the gum? He said, well, that's because the nerve block doesn't numb the gums (and he didn't numb the gums). During the session he also kept stretching and said, I'm gonna need the chiropractor after this! (The teeth are in the way back so hard to get to). He then said after, that he was wrestling with bionic tongue. I'd never heard that before. The bill was double my regular dentist - fine - and he added a "courtesy discount". Nice, but I'd rather just know what things standardly cost. Also, the helper, hygienist lady would pull at the corner of my mouth like I haven't experienced before or since, and also push down in to the bottom of my mouth while doing so. That also sucked. So I went back for the other three fillings. Same thing but even more painful. I told him again, and same thing, more number and it didn't touch it. He even said, "you can't numb the gums". This time the bill had no discount. I had started to have pain in the teeth from the first appointment- and i mentioned this to keen at the second appointment. I told him, when I floss around that back tooth it's very painful and I can't chew on that side. He said, I didn't fill anything where you floss between the teeth. At the end of this appointment I'm thinking - I'm done!! Then he said that there are other cavities (I think he identified 4 more) "but we'll check on those at my next visit, we'll watch them and see". He said use fluoride toothpaste and see if they remineralize. So now he sees 10?! I went back to my regular dentist. He said the fillings that keen did looked excellent, but that there was no point to watch and see if cavities will get bigger. They can't remineralize as they are at the gum line where there was never any enamel. He also said that keen had carved away some of my gum line. He showed me how the gum line was now lower on the teeth he had worked on. He said that's why he had suggested crowns - because they were very deep at the gum line. my regular dentist filled the remaining 4 and HE NUMBED MY GUMS! Didn't feel a thing!! Well...that tooth that I had told keen still hurt....it never stopped hurting, and got worse. After 4 months I went to an endodontist and got a CT scan. It was Infected. I Needed a root canal. She showed me on the scan that the filling Keen did went right up against the nerve canal. When she got in to that tooth, there was no nerve left. She said it probably started dying the day he did the work . the tooth was a tad bit wiggly. The infection was in to the jaw bone. So I paid another $3500 for a root canal. When she finished she said, now you have to crown it. She recommended Keen and another prosthodontist- I didn't go back to Keen. I just got a crown this week with new guy, Dr Geach. He was excellent. It was so nice. Same tooth, in back, but Dr Geach said to me, "you're a good patient. You don't move" and the assistant didn't hurt me either. This dentist said, I also really need to crown the other one next to it. And you know what, AFTER keen filled that tooth he even said, "I think at some point you'll want to crown that tooth". Which is why I had gone to him in the first place! But he had said I didn't need it! Well, he got $550 per tooth. (high price for fillings but he's in BH) Is that why?? What a waste of my time, my money and my pain. My regular dentist was right all along! 10 fillings and 2 crowns. And Keen even said that AT THE END. It kind of feels like he just said, it's 6 fillings and no crowns to get me as a patient, as he changed his diagnosis later (and he charged me $350 for that diagnosis btw). For me, this entire experience was not good and cost me thousands extra. read more

Just updating my review because I have just left Dr Keene's office after a teeth cleaning with Irena, my teeth feel amazing and look fantastic. I have also now finished my invisuline treatment which was literally the best decision of my life. Dr Keene has done such a fabulous job, he widened my smile and straightened my snaggly lower teeth. I always get complements on my teeth now and most people think they are Vaneers but they are 100% all natural and mine. If you are contemplating starting invisuline and having doubts about committing to the process don't. Just do it! You won't have any regrets. read more

Dr. Keen saved my smile! With less than a week's notice, he and his extremely caring staff made me an emergency Saturday appointment. I flew down from San Francisco that morning and flew back that night with a confident smile, which I had been unable to do in weeks! I had very traumatically lost 1.5 front teeth; I could not speak properly and felt very self conscious with the temp. tooth I had been given by my surgeon. I was reassured personally by Dr Keen via phone consultation that it could be resolved, which gave me huge relief, and even more so after I saw the results of his work. After I complete my future dental implant surgery process I will most definitely return to get further cosmetic work with Dr Keen. He is truly an artist, and seems to love his profession, which is everything! Thank you so much Dr. Keen and Staff! read more

I had already had 2 sets of Veneers on my uppers from a previous Dentist. I had some decay underneath. I was very unhappy with the way my teeth looked and the health of my mouth. Dr Keen saved me. My mouth feels so healthy and it looks great. He did such a beautiful job on my smile. He's an artist and he cares. ALSO , he has a magic touch because after all the work, 6 hours in the chair all I needed was 1 ibuprofen. I am truly grateful I found him. I will be continuing my dental care with Dr Keen. He's very detail oriented and I appreciate that in any health care professional. Grateful, Tammy read more

The staff is lovely and very competent. The work is beautiful. I came in with seriously damaged teeth, all of which have been fixed and look great. His crowns are beautiful and fit well. His bonding is amazing. He fixed a tooth that had the tip chipped off and you can't tell where the tooth ends and the bonding begins. He is conservative in his treatments and highly skilled. I was refered to Dr. Keen after a terrible experience. I was hit in the face by the back Matiffs head. Several teeth were broken and the first dentist I went to botched the work, leaving me far worse than when I initially went in. After 3 weeks of tremendous pain and complete incompetence from the initial dentist, a friend referred me to Dr. Keen. To say the least I was initially distrustful and afraid. By the end of the first visit I knew I was in good hands. He was able to quickly diagnose the problematic work and had me in to see his specialist within an hour, which was very lucky as I had exposed nerves and a terrible infection (causing fevers) that if left untreated could have entered my bone as it was very close. In the last few months we have corrected the originally botched work as well as addressed other concerns. I actually look forward to getting work done, versus fearing what could go wrong. This team is great and more importantly, trustworthy. read more

Amazing and worth every dime. My photographer referred Dr. Keen. The process requires an artist with the highest of standards. It also requires a patient patient. Together with his brilliant assistants, who seem to shapeshift around the office, we lopped off at least 10 years from my age. I couldn't be happier with the final result. Guadalupe the receptionist is a dear. If you're considering this cosmetic change, there is no better team to trust with your teeth. Don't go for cheaper. You'll pay a bigger price for cheap dentistry in the long run. read more

Note: The majority of my reviews are 4 and 5 stars, because I would love to see good businesses get more business. Out of over 430 reviews in EIGHT YEARS of Yelping, 29 are one-star. So I do not do this lightly. Wow, I don't know how Dr. Keene gets so many five-star reviews. All I can tell you is five years later I am redoing major dental surgical work he advised, that I apparently didn't actually need. The possible complications, cosmetic and otherwise, were never explained to me, and there are some that can't be reversed. When other dentists hear who did it, they just shake their heads. He also left my husband in mid-appointment with a partially cemented crown in order to tend to a celebrity patient. The cement solidified all over my hubby's gums and had to be chipped away piece by piece. It was awful. So...I guess people are having great experiences - but please educate yourself and be careful! read more

Dr. Keen has been my dentist for many years and he is the "best" dentist I have had my entire life. Just as an example, he saved a tooth for me that any other dentist would have pulled out right away. The tooth is still functioning and he's even made it more comfortable to bite down on in hopes of keeping it intact longer. He explains everything he does and his decisions are brilliant! He is kind, sweet, and extremely knowledgeable. He always has the right answer to every problem. I would highly recommend going to Dr. Keen, especially if you are unsure and hesitant about a dentist making the wrong decision and not being competent enough. In addition, the staff in his office are also highly efficient and very courteous. Catherine B. read more

Dr Keen was recommended to me from a friend who knew I had had a bad experience with a previous dentist whose office was more like the DMV. I was convinced I couldn't get through fillings without anaesthesia as my last dentist had proclaimed. Dr Keen was compassionate and patient with me and never made fun of me or rushed me. He is gentle, thorough, and just so kind - and always has a warm, genuine smile. I'm not afraid of dental work anymore. He doesn't criticize and his work is top notch. I've been going to Dr. Keen since January and I am so sorry I didn't find him years ago. I, unfortunately have had some bad dental work throughout the years and I was referred to him by my daughter's pediatric dentist, Dr. Lempert, who we also love and trust. So I went in for a consultation. I wanted to redo some old bonding (and was told by my old dentist to do veneers, but Dr. Keen didn't think I had to go to veneers) and during the consultation he told me that I have some old crowns that need to be redone. Dr. Keen has such a great energy and love of what he does. He really listens to what you want to do and then he does it 10 times better than you would have ever expected. He said he could fix my smile with just some bonding and reshaping and that we can take our time with the crowns (so far I have had two of them redone). I can't tell you how many times people comment on my teeth! His work looks natural and beautiful. I can't recommend him and his staff highly enough! Written by Brent's wife- Dawn read more
