I've been going to Concierge Dentistry for years for teeth cleanings and have been meaning to give them a proper review for a while now. On top of having a great experience with their teeth cleanings, I recently went for my very first teeth whitening experience and loved it. All the hygienists, staff and Dr. Davita Danesh are all so lovely and accommodating. I'm a chicken with anything medical and they really put me at ease throughout the entire process. The whitening process only took about an hour and ten minutes total. Ana was amazing and did a really thorough job prepping my teeth to the point where I didn't feel any sensitivity during the process like I was told can happen. I will say I felt a tingle in my tongue during the process but didn't feel any of the pain I was prepared for! I will definitely do whitening with them again, especially for special occasions and a little pick me up! read more

What a great dentistry. Everyone was extremely warm and accomodating. They were even kind enough to refill my parking meter because I made the mistake of parking in a spot with a one hour time limit. He opened Homeless Not Toothless, which takes care of homeless people and Vets' teeth for free. He opened a large clinic that takes care of all the Los Angeles foster kids' teeth for free. He raises money every year for breast cancer research. He's a real great man. And he cares about his patients' health even past their teeth. Their weight, their blood pressure, etc. His entire staff is friendly and helpful, and the 3 other specialists working with him are excellent. He served in the Navy. Graduated NYU Dental School. A real class act. And he's got a great sense of humor. Love this guy. Just had a root canal. Was actually worried. No pain; total gain. Only downside is the parking situation in Brentwood is not great. That's about it. read more

They couldn't care less. I tried requesting an appointment through their online form twice 2 weeks apart, 6 weeks ago for the first time. I called three times wondering if they had any cancellations only to hear the same robotic response "No, we don't", nobody even bothered to look up their schedule, no effort whatsoever. I left a voicemail the other day asking for a callback to schedule an appointment for the nearest available date (I speculate might be next year, but I would have accepted it), and I haven't heard back. I'm done trying so hard for them to accept my business. read more

Good care but at very high cost! Front desk staff and assistants are really nice, but Dr Grossman uses every visit to offer treatments that are very costly (above market rate) and often unnecessary. E.g. offered to put crowns on wisdom teeth - which most dentists would not recommend - use retainers on healthy teeth etc. This is a supercharged business operation - be careful not to expect this dental practice to find ways to deliver the most cost-effective care, but if you have the money, they will be at your service. read more

Dr. Grossman's staff are friendly and professional. The offices are extremely clean and impressive. However, his staff recommended that I have two crowns put in as soon as possible in order to "preserve the structure" of my teeth. I did not have dental insurance at the time. Thank God I sought out another opinion! Four years later, my teeth are in great shape and I have have not had so much as a filling. Unfortunately, it would seem that his office recommends unnecessary work for their own profit. It's hard to come to another conclusion. My sister and I have booked an appointment here to see Dr. Grossman for a general exam, and cleaning, and whitening for my sister. I was completely blown away by the level of experience that Dr. Grossman offered at his clinic. They equipment that they used for the general was beyond what you would see in any modern and advanced dental office. You get anywhere from x-rays, cancer screenings multiple forms of tech guided imaging and so much more for an incredibly monthly special price of $49?). The rest of his services are pretty pricey but I have to say they're so worth it to receive the level of care, comfort and care that he provides! I've left my previous review, but have to share an update. I have bad gums and have had braces twice. Dr. Grossman recommended invisalign braces for me at nearly $6,000. Considering that numerous periodontists in my past had told me that braces were one of the main causes of my gum recession, I decided to check with a couple of periodontists. The first told me that it was ridiculous and also noted that the nightguards Dr. Grossman had been selling me were a joke. Since I wasn't convinced, I visited two other periodontists and a dentist who told me the exact same thing and one even told me that he had seen other patients of Dr. Grossman's in the same situation. This was so disappointing for me because I'd been going to Dr. Grossman for five years. All three periodontists that I visited were familiar with Dr. Grossman's work and not one of them had a good thing to say about him. The dentist I saw advised me of the pros and cons of Cerac that included a much worse fit than a regular crown. Anyway, the they all advised me against braces of any kind (many pointed out that Invisalign is not the way to go for braces anyway) and they all agreed that the night guards I'd been buying from Dr. Grossman at $500 a pop and chewing through in a few months were completely inadequate and if anything may have caused more damage. I now have a real nightguard and it is completely different. Also, one of the Ceracs Dr. Grossman did just cracked in two and came out of my tooth. Not realizing it, I bit down again and cracked another tooth. Turns out the Cerac "crown" should not have been a crown at all and due to it being too thin or small(because it should not have been a crown) it did not hold up. My current dentist removed the remaining Cerac and replaced it with a filling. I will always miss Jenny and Elena (the best hygienist I've ever had), but have had to change dentists. read more

Dr. Frankie Neman is amazing! I came to her after a challenging experience with another practice and she has changed my entire perspective on going to the dentist. I used to cringe at the sound of the tools and really brace myself throughout the appointment. Dr. Neman is so gentle and calm, she even offered headphones to me to help me zone out and it made the experience relaxing! The office is really nice, the staff is so polite and there is always street parking. I would HIGHLY recommend her! read more

My mom had a front tooth crown done by Dr Grossman. He charged $1500 for a front tooth crown, and this is supposed to be a special discount. The crown was of regular white color - not custom color as you would expect for the price and the location of the crown (double of the regular price elsewhere for the same work) But to make it worse for Dr. Grossman, the crown broke off in a few weeks. I called Dr. Grossman with a request for refund, and he gave a story that there was not enough tooth left for the crown - seems like a repeating story with bad dentists. I took my mom to Dr. Albert Silveda and he did a beautiful job - it was plenty of tooth left to put a crown - custom color and size. Love that doctor! I did get a 50% refund. read more

Dr. Jay is awesome. I used to absolutely dread going to the dentist (not that I necessarily enjoy it now) but coming here makes the entire experience so much easier and less stressful. Dr. Jay himself is friendly, outgoing and funny. He and his staff do everything they can to accomodate you and make you feel comfortable in their offices. The offices are modern and clean in a totally convenient location in Brentwood village. The only problem here is the parking... street parking is hard to find and the meters are only for an hour which is difficult if you're having any sort of lengthy procedure. The building's parking garage is super expensive. We're taking about $16 per visit if you're there over an hour. Ouch! I'm sure there are other lots around Brentwood that you could drive around looking for though that are cheaper. I'm usually running too late for that though. Cleanings are very thorough and relatively quick. Dr. Jay also performed a few fillings on my teeth (like I said, I used to dread going to the dentist and my teeth were definitely in bad shape) and I seriously didn't feel a thing. I'm not sure what method he used to do them - I know it involved lasers of some sort - and it was seriously totally quick and painless. A far cry from old school uncomfortable drilling and pain! I've also done invisalign through Dr. Jay which took a totally easy 4 months. Dr Jay was always available on the phone when I was having any pain or issues. I just got my teeth whitened here as well and the staff was awesome. Before we started the procedure I mentioned my worry about not being able to drink coffee for 24 hours (I'm an addict) and Dr. Jay immediately brought me a cup of delicious freshly brewed coffee so I could get my fix for the day before starting the whitening! So awesome! His assistant contanstly checked up on me the whole time... making sure I was comfortable and bringing me magazines and even my choice from a huge selection of CDs to listen to. I honestly can't imagine going to another dentist anymore! read more

I continue to see Dr. Grossman and his team for my dental care (over 18 years now) and my smile is happier for it. Although I had braces in my teen years my teeth had shifted slightly. I discussed this with Dr. Jay last year and he recommended Invisalign. I was immediately interested as I wanted to correct this. He also suggested that adjusting my bite might improve some gum sensitivity that had occurred due to nighttime clenching. I've been happy with both results and the process of wearing the aligners even caused me to be more conscious of my brushing & flossing routine resulting in better cleanings. **UPDATE 8/6/14** I never realized how spoiled I was going to Dr. Jay until I moved away. After two awful experiences with my friends' highly recommended, swear-they're-the-best dentists, I *really* realized how lucky I had been to grow up in his team's amazing care. I now drive 200 miles round trip to see him and won't let anyone else touch my teeth. Go see him once and you won't go anywhere else, either. There's just no comparison. **Original Review Below** I love Dr. Jay and his staff (especially Jenny and Elena)! I have been going to see Dr. Jay since I was a kid. Everyone is amazingly nice, friendly, they basically treat you like family...family that happens to know a lot about teeth and want you to floss more =P He has always taken great care of my teeth, and been very up front about what *needs* to be done and what is purely cosmetic, and he's very reasonable with pricing. I'm not sure what happened with some of those one-star reviews, but I have never, in my 20+ years history with him, seen anything that resembles what they describe. All the patients I've met have been extremely happy with his services. Dr Jay and his staff genuinely care about your dental health, and they're going to do everything in their power to give you what you need to have a gorgeous, healthy smile. On that same note, I am a *huge* dental chicken, and they've gracefully and kindly put up with all my whiney-ness and wimpiness, making anything I needed to have done (which really hasn't been much, just a few small cavities here and there) as painless and comfortable as possible. My mom has had numerous problems with her teeth over the years, because of bad dental hygiene as a kid. She doesn't trust anyone else with her teeth, and neither would I. read more

Jay has been my personal dentist for over 17 years now. Even though we share the same last name, we are not related. As far as going to the dentist, Jay's office makes it as pleasurable as possible. Not only are they incredibility professional, but they actually LOVE what they do and this translates into a very positive patient experience. The equipment in this office is high-tech. They have a laser and digital x-ray machine. What's a laser doing in a dental office? It replaces the drill and novocain. So filling a cavity is painless and the process only takes a few minutes. It's probably also better for your teeth in the long run; the laser is more accurate and takes off less enamel than a drill. It was nice leaving the dentist without having half of my face jerked/numbed from novocain. Did I mention it was painless? The digital x-ray was malfunctioning when I was there, causing my appt to drag on longer than I would wish. Apparently, the digital x-ray exposes the patient to only like 13% of radiation compared to ordinary x-rays. Waiting sucks, but less exposure to radiation? That's cool. Dr.Grossman has great bedside manner, and explained the costs of procedures so I wasn't surprised by the bill afterwards. He founded a charity to provide dental care to the homeless. He's also giving you a free whitening kit when you donate $150 to the Revlon Run/Walk on behalf of his surviving wife. Check his site for details. Beautiful office, great staff and attentive doctor. No bait and switch tactics, just an awesome practice that is vying for your business as a patient! I am updating my review however since its been almost a week since I got my teeth whitened in the office for via GroupOn. Initially my teeth looked much whiter, but now they have gone back to the color that they were - but now with blotchy white spots. The pain afterwards was definitely not worth the results that I obtained. I believe my teeth are now actually worse than what they were to begin with. I am going to purchase take home trays and bleach and hopefully this rectifies the problem. read more

I had such a pleasant experience today during my visit to Dr. Grossman's. It was very refreshing to have such a nice office and kind staff during my dental cleaning. My hygienist Elma was very considerate and made sure I had as pleasant of an experience as possible. I was very impressed with her cleaning, she was very attentive to detail and made sure that I understood all the different things she was discovering while cleaning my teeth. After my cleaning Dr. Glazer went over my x-rays and recommended that we fill in a cavity that was in its early stages. She was very careful with the procedure and made sure it was painless, literally, I didn't feel anything. After having really bad dental work done (over the course of a few years) I went into Dr. Jay somewhat fearful -- knowing things were just not right in my mouth. And they weren't! Every filling done by my last dentist was done badly and two teeth now required crowns. I'll keep the review short, but was so damn pleased when Dr. Jay put my permanent crowns on. I have had zero problems since. My teeth feel great. I wish I had gone to him to start instead of my other dentist which clearly created numerous problems. Also, had a few small cavities which he filled -- via laser! What an experience! If you have dental anxiety, this is the place for you. Staff is also wonderful and put you at ease. read more

I came to his office needing lots of dental work and he's done everything reasonably possible to make the work comfortable and affordable. Dental work is nothing anyone looks forward to, but at Dr. J's I always know that the work is performed carefully and professionally, with the utmost concern for my comfort. To preface, my experiences with Dr. Jay were six years ago, BUT I do still have family that go to him. I was able to get my super-scared fiance to try him after a horrendous experience with Dr. Fields. He actually got over his phobias here and was excited to finally get all the work done that he'd been avoiding for far too long. I'm a grinder, so I needed SEVEN filings replaced. I was so shocked by this that I got two other consultations and paid out-of-pocket for both. Turns out Dr. Jay was exactly right about all seven.
