Long Island Endodontics charges $275 for a consultation without x-rays. If you choose to have the procedure performed at that office, the consultation fee is applied towards your bill. I did not receive a receipt for the $275. It was a mistake on my part not to ask for one. The invoice for this visit was sent to my place of employment, which I find to be very unprofessional. I was billed $627.00 for x-rays. Patients should be informed that their x-rays are on the high end. My dental insurance only covered $87.00 and I can understand why. The individual responsible for billing is unprofessional in communication, both verbally and through email. My visit to this office is costing $550 with no dental work being performed. The kicker! They have pursued legal action against me for the $275. I did inform my dentist about my unfortunate experience with this office. I was provided me a new referral and had a much better experience. The total cost for my root canal (two visits), crown and x-rays, was less than $250.00.

There is pain and anxiety involved…read more Everyone from the reception staff, the dental assistants and the extremely expert doctors themselves are keenly aware of this. They are always readily available to answer all questions and communication between patient and office is prompt and consistent. That's just the receptionist! Everyone there treats the patient with kindness and empathy. The dental hygienist Ashley patiently listened to my concerns and reassured me that everything would be alright. Dr. Kwok goes above and beyond to make what is normally a very unpleasant procedure quick and comfortable as possible. The office is extremely clean and high tech. All the latest technology is utilized to accurately diagnose your issue. Dr. Kwok did what no other dentist has done in these procedures --she explained each step, was kind and transparent when there was pain and gave me a timestamp for when the procedure would be over. Having had such a good first experience with Dr. Sanchez, I waited until I returned to LI to see Dr. Sanchez. He examined my x-rays and the tooth that my dentist had capped 6 weeks ago and also the adjoining teeth. He doubted that the capped one needed a root canal and after testing the adjoining teeth determined with reasonable certainty that one of them was the culprit due to a suspected hairline fracture and receding gumline which creates the opportunity for sensitivity. So this is the second time I was sent to him for possible root canal and the second time he advised against it. His opinion the first time turned out to be the correct course and I have no doubt that this one will be the same. I cannot recommend him enough for his friendliness, completely understandable diagnosis and plan for further wait and see. I have no doubt because of my experience with him and the other reviews that if I end up needing RC, he is the man! But the way the pain is diminishing I think he is correct and that the sensitivity will diminish over time.
