I have been a long time member of State Farm and I can't imagine using any other Agent. David and his team are consummate professionals. As companies move towards Artificial Intelligence (AI) it leaves more and more members like myself feeling disconnected or worse unsure. David and his team provided both a self service model and white glove concierge. Where I can place a claim online and know that my team will be notified and follow-up with me to ensure I have all my questions answered and walk me through next steps. I have no doubt that David has my best interest in mind which is why I trust him to manage my automobile, home, life and investment policies. They say that the best compliment is through referrals and I couldn't agree more. David represents several members of my family and circle of friends and I highly recommend him to anyone!! read more

My highest recommendation goes to David for superior service and integrity. I've been with them for years with my home and auto insurance. He's helped select the correct policy for me. David and his staff are the BEST and most considerate agency. read more

I would just like to say I have been with State Farm for 33 years. I was a client of Linda Oneal and then she left and I went to another agent at the same location then he left and he turned me over to David. I promise you I love all three of my agents with State Farm but David is the best. I just love they way he makes sure that all your insurance needs are meet. Whenever an issue arise he makes sure that it gets resolved. The world that we live in today due to the pandemic businesses are short staff and is going through different transitions but I just want to say one thing about David he has never changed. He has a very pleasant attitude, easy to approach and make sure he takes care allof my insurance needs. I pray David that you continue to be the loving man that you are because people need to see that someone really cares and will go above and beyond to make sure they are being heard and their matter is resolved. David keep up the great work and the sky will be the limit for you! read more

I have been a State Farm customer since I got my first car back in another decade (won't say which one). My agent was in Berkeley and my poor little VW bug was hit twice (while parked) in two months. I was given $$ right away and was able to fix the poor fender both times. Years later after a period of not having a car--I got married, we got a car and moved out of Berkeley. Our original SF agent was on the San Pablo Ave in Richmond location--once again SF came through a flood claim, a mini tornado claim, a couple of other claims which I won't get into detail about to protect the innocent (us) and a mishap to our son's car where the culprit actually left a long note and called the police to make a report!.. We recently had a claim on a rental car and that was cleared up right away. David Recorder and his staff moved from the Richmond location (pictured here) to their present office in San Pablo. The office space is larger and there is parking (which was difficult at the Richmond location). David and his staff are always friendly and helpful. They're the kind of people that you feel are your friends. You can actually make payments online but we usually like to go into their office. read more

I have been buying insurance from David for about 5 years now and I highly recommend. David is friendly, knowledgeable and easy to work with. Whenever I have an insurance question I feel confident that David and his team will get me answers I need without a trying to sell me something I don't need. Unfortunately, I have had to call on David's, and his assistant Natalie's, help a couple times over the last few years. They're are always happy to help. Whether it was simply needing a copy of my insurance card or getting a loaner car when my was hit they seem to go out of their way to help and get me back on the road. read more

This is a classy office! David Recoder manages this location along with 2 other agents. I walked into the first office by mistake and the his brother Guillermo guided me over to David and his team next door. I felt as if I was in a first class lawyers office and David's team was so professional and very knowledgable. I give him a 5 star. I had a claim 4 months later and with all companies there is always hang ups. I was a bit upset and contacted David immediately. It goes to show you get what you pay for as he contacted my claims agent and straighter everything out for me. 2 thumbs up! cheers! read more

Very professional, and I had a great experience! The agents are very knowledgeable, reliable, and trustworthy. Highly recommend.

I work in the health field and called this office out of desperation to get information about a patient's coverage... Francisco answered the phone he was friendly and helpful. I called him back later that day to discuss insurance options for myself... I went in to meet Francisco in person... the red walls of the interior were a little bright on the eyes but sitting down and discussing my insurance options with Francisco was a great experience. I usually picture sales guys like used car sales men. I try to avoid them at all costs. Francisco was friendly and genuine. He wasn't pushy but informative and I felt he looked out for my best interest. At the end of our conversation... Francisco made a sale and I walked out with a new insurance policy and a State Farm Soccer Ball! It was a win/win situation! If you're in need of good insurance coverage, have tons of questions and don't know exactly what coverage you want GO SEE FRANCISCO! He has mega patience! read more

What can I say the guy is cool. Answers the phone. Has good knowledge of coverage issues. I got my workers comp with him. Excellent price. His price was more competitive than the State Fund. You should do business with him because, he knows his stuff, he is always available and his prices are good. Clear. read more

Let me tell you, I've gone down the rabbit hole of trying this insurance vs. that to get a better deal or better customer service and this is an office I NEVER see myself leaving. This office is the only office where the entire staff has all the answers, patience, and availability to you that you could ask for. Email, phone call, text, or in person they are always happily ready to help. Jacky has helped me even BEFORE I switched to their office when I was having a thousand issues with Ahmad's office right down the street (zero stars for them). Jacky's patience and empathy is a main reason I was willing to try Statefarm again but with a different office and I'm SO glad I did! David is the lead in the office and he absolutely is someone you can trust. He is patient, honest and makes sure you get exactly what you need while still getting you a good deal. Thank you David, Jacky and everyone in this office for all that you do! read more

I contacted this state farm office around December of last year and the help that was provided to me was great. The rep was very helpful and gave me several options without being pushing. We compared my current coverage with the new and it worked out really well for me. Til this day when i have random questions about life or vehicle coverage I'll call the office and someone always kindly helps me. Shows that they value and appreciate me as their customer. I would definitely recommend! read more

Last night I was waiting for assistance since 8pm. I received a texts stating that someone would be there in within 60 min. No one ever arrived. When I called dispatch he told me the driver should be there any second. I kept waiting for over 30 min. The driver calls me and tells me he will be there in about 12-18 min and another 30 min pass and there is no driver. I call him back to see where he is and he told me he was having trouble with his truck overheating and now he has to call dispatch to send me another driver. Mind you, I had to call the driver to get an update. They didn't even bother to let me know what was going on. Dispatch never got back to me so I called the insurance back and told them what was going on. They assured me that they would send another driver. Mind you, I'm 8 months pregnant, just worked a 12 hr shift (which I told them) I just wanted to get home. I received another text saying they would send me another driver within 20 min AGAIN, never arrived with no call. Again I call the insurance and asked if they can call a different tow company and they did. The insurance told me they would ask for emergency road side assistance due to my situation but then again they said another 45 min until they get to my destination. I was waiting, tired, stressed out crying in my vehicle because at this point I'm already waiting 3 hrs so I called my husband who had to come from home about an hour away with my 1 year old daughter in the cold just to help me because I felt like the tow company would never show. I WAS RIGHT!! My husband showed up about 56 min later (even before the tow driver) who said would be there within 45 min. My husband ends up fixing my tire and I'm heading home. I get home around 12:10 and about 10 min before I get home the driver calls me and asks if I still need assistance. I told him no because I was already going home. He said okay and hung up. A couple minutes later I received a text telling me my service was complete and how I would rate my service. COMPLETE?? They never showed up!! This is extremely unprofessional and very disappointing to know I can't count on my insurance and the tow company they work with for an emergency. It's so sad!! read more

hi my name is P. Agency is decent as long as your incident occurs during regular business hours and can actually talk to a person. If you get patched through to corporate to handle a problem, you get lost in the phone maze vortex. There is NO way to leave a voicemail for the agency after hours. It all rolls over to corporate. My main complaint- Beware if you need roadside assistance! Their service provider partner Ajera (sp?) is a very poor performer. Super lame to wait 9 hours to get a flat tire fixed, 2 hour wait for a jump start. When I finally spoke to someone at the Agent's office (not the agent) I explained my horrible experience (with the 9 hour wait, including missing a wedding i was to be a part of). Opined how this service provider is underperforming for thus State Farm customer and jeopardizing my relationship with State Farm. All they could offer was apologies & empty promises. Really frustrating to pay for roadside assistance as part of your premium only to be treated like a number. They should dump thus service partner. read more

David Recoder is an awesome, professional, friendly agent. His office is the essence of the State Farm slogan. They really are like a friendly neighbor who will always be there to help. Everyone there is so friendly and willing to help. Whether it's on the phone or in person they make you feel like they are there to give you the time of the day to take care of your needs. I swear the most friendly office ever. Not the kind of friendly where they treat you like your stupid but the real kind of friendly. The office has pretty girls working there and the men are not bad looking either. I did learn that State farm does offer ALOT more then insurance. It really made my choice easy they cater to all dialects and all people. Over all they made insurance less like pulling teeth and more like something I don't mind doing every month I actually cant wait to go in and pay my bill its VERY affordable. read more
