This makes reviewing a dentistry practice especially challenging, and finding one that fits you from a Yelp review even more so. That said, I cannot speak highly enough about Dr. Kiesling and his dental practice. Before yesterday, I have appreciated the semi-annual services I've consumed. They are polite, engaging, and on-time. But before yesterday, I'd not had any work done. I think it's fair to say that I'm no hero when it comes to dentists working on my teeth. I don't know about anyone else's pain threshold, but drilling has always been a nerve-wracking and painful experience; so I wasn't looking forward to having a big old filling replaced and a crack repaired in a different tooth. I needn't have feared, and all my anxiety was for naught. Dr. Kiesling and his assistant were professional and efficient, and I was out of the chair with virtually no pain in what seemed a short time. (Actually, as it turned out, I was in the chair for about an hour!) Wonderful! As I said, I don't expect everyone will react the same. I've had my share of bad dentistry experience. But I believe my teeth are now in capable hands.

What I mean is that there was not a bad part of this process. I am 16 hours removed from my first root canal and I. Have. Not. Felt. ANY. Pain. None. I felt no pain in the chair, I felt no pain yesterday afternoon, and I am feeling none this morning. Dr. Patel exudes an air of competence that I found very comforting and it made everything go so smoothly. I'm a high anxiety patient who is unreasonably terrified of dental work and I'm a jerk for not remembering the name of the Dental Assistant from my first visit, but her soothing and professional bedside manner kept me there feeling listened to and safe at my first visit and 'Cassie' was fantastic in the same role the day of the root canal. They treated me with such compassion and I am so appreciative. 'Jay' handled my cleaning and I can't say enough; I've never had a cleaning go better and she took the time to answer all of my questions and talked me through everything. She is a goddess. The front office staff has been judged very harshly in these reviews and I can only say that I found them to be helpful and accommodating. This is the practice you're looking for. You should call.

After treatment, I was given a bonded lingual retainer behind my two front teeth. Over time, I noticed my teeth beginning to shift again. I returned to the office to discuss my options and was provided with a single Essix retainer. When that retainer eventually broke, I reached out by email hoping to obtain a replacement. I was told there wasn't much they could do to help me, which was disappointing since I wanted to maintain the results of my treatment. Unfortunately, my teeth continued to shift to the point that I ultimately had to start a completely new treatment (Invisalign) in 2024, which I completed in 2026. This meant additional time, expense, and inconvenience years after my original orthodontic treatment. I understand that teeth can naturally move over time and that retainers require maintenance, but I wish I had received more comprehensive long-term guidance and support when I sought help. My experience left me feeling that maintaining my results became my responsibility without adequate assistance from the practice

I feel there is a lack of experience and limited communication here. I decided to move on, to an older doctor with more experience. The final straw was when the Dental Hygienist tried to tell me that I did not have a caped front tooth. In 1971, I tripped and chipped a front tooth. I have a picture of said chip. According to my mother, the dentist used porcelain to repair the tooth. I remember he took a triangular shaped cap and attached it to my existing tooth. This repair could be seen on pictures for the next twenty some years. The repair line of the triangular shaped cap showed and was a slightly different color. It can be seen on pictures through out my teens, twenties and even into my thirties. I tried to explain this to the Dental Hygientist, but she was only interested in being right. The repair did not show on her x rays. According to the internet, porcelain repairs look different on x rays then the usual resin dentists use today. She kept telling me to ask Dr. Lam, but previous conversations of this nature usually resented in a "Hmmmm" response, and that would be about it. I decided it was time to move on to a different dental practice.

Never had to wait more than 5 minutes to be called back to the room. Felanie is so friendly, always asks how I am doing and how my family is doing, she makes me feel like part of the family. Dr. Lam is also very thorough in her job and gentle when she is filling a tooth or replacing a crown. I admire the whole office, I think they all must like working there, they are all happy to have their jobs and it shows.

Everyone in the office is so friendly and helpful and they remember you! They treat their patients like family. It is a small practice and there are only a few hygienists but all of them do a thorough cleaning and take the time to make sure you are comfortable and address any concerns you may have about your oral health. Dr. Selcher himself is very skilled and kind. I've been lucky to have only 2 cavities in my life and both were spotted extremely early and taken care of thanks to his expertise and thoroughness. You can tell he genuinely cares about his patients and makes every effort to help them without trying to sell any new or unnecessary products or procedures. My husband used to dread going to his last dentist, due to them constantly lecturing him and trying to sell him on some new product. He recently started going to this office and loves how he is treated! He's even started making 6 month check up appointments keep his teeth in check. I'd recommend Dr. Selcher and his crew to anyone looking for a caring and talented dentist.

It was through her family that I started to go there. My mother in-law went to a women retreat where she came upon a free beautiful looking couch since we were looking for one. My mom told me that a certain man named Sam was willing to pick up that couch for free and she gave me his number. On the day Sam delivered the couch him and I were talking about an issue I had with my teeth. Eventually I set up an appointment to give it a shot. This Wednesday July 28th, 2021 I went to see him. I was told previously that one of my crowns has a broken seal and food particles started to decay the remaining tooth. Having had a root canal on same I couldn't feel any pain though. The plan was to take the old one of, take care of the tooth and get a new crown. I was sitting in the chair for no more than 15 minutes. When Dr. Selcher was done I asked him if he took the crown out. He said there was no need. All he needed to do is to squirt a treatment against the caries (decay) and just have the crown resealed. I was just baffled. How often do you encounter a doctor of any kind where the least minimal amount is done at the lowest expense possible. I am more than pleased with the experience that I had. Dr. Selcher is one of those gents who care about their patience more than making all the money they possibly could make.

I probably have had maybe two sentences of conversation with the dentist over these years as he acts like it is painful to talk to you and he spends less than 5 minutes with the patients. The hygenists are friendly and they will admit that Dr. Sicher prefers for the staff to speak with and explain things to patients. The real pain comes with procedures that he rushes through without adequate analgesia and then again when you get the bill. They charge more for procedures than I have seen any dentist charge and you get maybe 1/3 of this back from insurance if you're lucky. They will not hesitate to cancel or reschedule you the day of an appointment and the office staff is not friendly, accommodating, or apologetic when they jerk you around with scheduling even after your child has taken off school for the visit. If you are looking for a personable practice, keep looking as we are doing now.

Overall, there are better dentists to go to that will give more detailed check ups and customer service.
