I've been a  patient of Wes for 30 years. Yes, 30. But I've recently fired him because he lacks the…read morejudgement it requires to provide quality care in my opinion. Basically, he has referred me twice to substandard and expensive providers that reflect poorly on Wes. First, there was Susan Korch for my wife's braces. She's overpriced, runs a factory with FIVE chairs she literally runs in-between, and didn't even know my wife's name after one year as a patient. She sticks trays in, asks if they fit, and moves on to the next patient. When I TRIED to ask her a very quick treatment question, she said there was no time for that, and that I'd have to set up a separate consultation. She also refused to give us our treatment plan, claiming "it's proprietary". What the hell does that mean? It's my WIFE'S treatment plan. You also take a # like at the deli when you check in, and get called to the back by #, not name. Is she running a bakery or an orthodontic practice? Why Wes would send my wife to a person like this when Rick Cramer is less than one mile away baffles me. He's a great orthodontist who runs TWO chairs and handles all the care himself. Wes also sent me to the most expensive oral surgeon (Conestoga Oral Maxillary Surgeons, Hummelstown), not just here, but ANYWHERE. He's $1000 more for a dental implant than they charge in New York City. I called the capital city of every state on the east coast and NOBODY came within $700 of their pricing. I found this out AFTER Dr. Greg Bell at Conestoga did my extraction and bone graft, which was ALSO more expensive than any other oral surgeon on the east coast by at least $300. And when I fired him and went to a different oral surgeon for the implant, he took a look at my x-ray and said the bone graft that Greg did was "sloppy" and may not turn into bone that he can use for an implant. And for THAT I paid $760 when I could have had it done for $400? When I queried Wes why he did this to a valued patient, and did he know they were the worst providers I'd ever been to, he didn't even take the time to respond to my email. After 30 years, I think I'm owed an explanation. Apparently Wes doesn't think so. Further, the crown I'll need after the implant? $2300 at Wes's office, $1300-$1600 at three other dentists I called. Guess where I'm going? You have a lot of choices of dentists in this area. I suggest you price shop and go with somebody you trust. I no longer trust Wes Davis, and will be going elsewhere for my oral care needs.

When I went to the front desk, I showed my insurance card to the girl working there. The card is a dental card that my employer provided me with two days ago. The girl took a look at the card and simply expressed that it was a medical insurance card rather than a dental card. I showed her that the card clearly says: dental card. When we proceeded with the dental cleaning the dental hygienist( Rany) just removed the tartar formation in my front teeth not the ones in the back, also polishing my teeth with a special paste or pumice to remove plaque and stains was a forgotten step which is needed to leave my teeth smooth and shiny, this step was forgotten or simply the hygienist was in a rush. Another step which I did not receive or was purposely forgotten due to poor professionalism or lack of knowledge was flossing between my teeth to remove remaining plaque or debris. 2 steps were forgotten and made me think about the professionalism of the staff working there and how they are going to manage to keep customers going to their practice. The poor procedure of removing tartar formation just from the front teeth and not from the rest, in addition to no flossing or polishing clients teeth, demonstrates a substandard kind of care that should not be given in the USA. Overall rating = substandard dental care, worst than mediocre.

During my recovery from surgery with another oral surgeon in the same practice (Dr. Cho...who's awesome too and did an amazing job with my surgery), Dr. Yates saw me for post-op concerns while Dr. Cho was out of town. In reviewing my chart, Dr. Yates validated the concerns I had raised from the beginning and gave me a greater understanding of what had truly been going on. Together with the assistance of Katie, a dentist herself, he addressed what hadn't been resolved and redid my temporary crown. The entire team was compassionate and Dr. Yates and Katie spent a great deal of time, went above and beyond the expectation, and the result was amazing!!! For the first time in a year, I felt hopeful again, I got my smile back, and have a clear plan moving forward. I am beyond grateful to Dr. Yates, Katie, and their WHOLE TEAM, who excelled in all areas! I would highly recommend them and this will now be my new permanent place for dental care!

Everyone in the office is so friendly and helpful and they remember you! They treat their patients like family. It is a small practice and there are only a few hygienists but all of them do a thorough cleaning and take the time to make sure you are comfortable and address any concerns you may have about your oral health. Dr. Selcher himself is very skilled and kind. I've been lucky to have only 2 cavities in my life and both were spotted extremely early and taken care of thanks to his expertise and thoroughness. You can tell he genuinely cares about his patients and makes every effort to help them without trying to sell any new or unnecessary products or procedures. My husband used to dread going to his last dentist, due to them constantly lecturing him and trying to sell him on some new product. He recently started going to this office and loves how he is treated! He's even started making 6 month check up appointments keep his teeth in check. I'd recommend Dr. Selcher and his crew to anyone looking for a caring and talented dentist.

It was through her family that I started to go there. My mother in-law went to a women retreat where she came upon a free beautiful looking couch since we were looking for one. My mom told me that a certain man named Sam was willing to pick up that couch for free and she gave me his number. On the day Sam delivered the couch him and I were talking about an issue I had with my teeth. Eventually I set up an appointment to give it a shot. This Wednesday July 28th, 2021 I went to see him. I was told previously that one of my crowns has a broken seal and food particles started to decay the remaining tooth. Having had a root canal on same I couldn't feel any pain though. The plan was to take the old one of, take care of the tooth and get a new crown. I was sitting in the chair for no more than 15 minutes. When Dr. Selcher was done I asked him if he took the crown out. He said there was no need. All he needed to do is to squirt a treatment against the caries (decay) and just have the crown resealed. I was just baffled. How often do you encounter a doctor of any kind where the least minimal amount is done at the lowest expense possible. I am more than pleased with the experience that I had. Dr. Selcher is one of those gents who care about their patience more than making all the money they possibly could make.

This makes reviewing a dentistry practice especially challenging, and finding one that fits you from a Yelp review even more so. That said, I cannot speak highly enough about Dr. Kiesling and his dental practice. Before yesterday, I have appreciated the semi-annual services I've consumed. They are polite, engaging, and on-time. But before yesterday, I'd not had any work done. I think it's fair to say that I'm no hero when it comes to dentists working on my teeth. I don't know about anyone else's pain threshold, but drilling has always been a nerve-wracking and painful experience; so I wasn't looking forward to having a big old filling replaced and a crack repaired in a different tooth. I needn't have feared, and all my anxiety was for naught. Dr. Kiesling and his assistant were professional and efficient, and I was out of the chair with virtually no pain in what seemed a short time. (Actually, as it turned out, I was in the chair for about an hour!) Wonderful! As I said, I don't expect everyone will react the same. I've had my share of bad dentistry experience. But I believe my teeth are now in capable hands.
