I can not say enough about Dr. Donation and his staff! They were kind and were able to see me quickly for an emergency dental issue.

I had been to this practice for a cleaning and checkup, so when I called with tooth pain, I figured…read morethat they would have emergency appointments available. I called on a Thursday and the first appointment was the following Wednesday. I took the appointment, but I delevoped a lot of swelling over the weekend. I called and left a voicmail and asked to be seen sooner. I never heard back from them, so I was able to see a new dentist immediately at another practice. I finally heard from the practice Tuesday afternoon! She was calling to reschedule my Wednesday appointment. I have no words for a practice who would not care about a patient who was in pain!

I would not recommend Dental Care of Brigantine. I was a longtime customer for many years but will…read morenot be going back. Something changed in the last few years and their customer service is horrible. I'll try to keep this short. I got a root canal done a few years ago and the Dentist missed one of the roots. Additionally, the crown was too big and didn't fit well. I had extreme pain a few weeks later. So not only did I have to go to a specialist and pay another $1,000+ to get retreatment, I had to replace the crown recently as well because the area became infected. Double whammy. Luckily the specialist didn't charge me again (they honored the retreatment they did). I had to replace the crown however so that was another $500 with insurance. So that's roughly $2,500-3000 for one root canal (that's including insurance). Probably more honestly but I lost track. This year, due to COVID-19, I understand things are very uncertain. I get it. So I had a prescheduled cleaning in March. I call to confirm my appt. and they were closed. They said they sent out mass texts but I didn't get one (apparently my cell phone was listed as a house phone). Okay no problem. They rescheduled my appt. to today. I get there, the doors are locked and no one answered the phone. I finally get a hold of them on the phone and they are closed again. So why reschedule my appt. to a hard date then? The woman said, "someone should've called you,". Ya think!? They also seem to play insurance scams. They tell you one amount and then you get a random bill OR they say you owe more money on your next visit. So not only is their actual service bad, their customer service is shotty too. I can go on and on about other things I don't like but I'll save it. Won't be going back and please find a better Dentist.

The place to go if you want to end up with a root canal on the WRONG tooth, hospitalized TWICE,…read moredenial of wrongful practices even with factual evidence, tooth pulled, C Diff, severe mouth infection...need I go on? In September I had a small pimple like bump on my gums. I was out of town and my normal dentist wasn't available so I came here. I'm usually weary of places that have all great reviews but this was the only place close by. I was told they couldn't find anything on the X-ray but that they "might" see a crack in tooth 6 (the tooth that is right in front of your face). They said the bump was from a likely infection and tooth 6 needed a root canal asap. I came back a few days later and they performed the root canal. It was at that point everything went down hill. I was in zero pain prior to the root canal. After, I was in SEVERE pain that had me unable to eat or talk. Lakeview said they do not provide pain medication and I should take Tylenol. I went back to their office so they could make sure the infection wasn't getting worse. They tried prescribing me an antibiotic I told them I was allergic to. Thankfully I caught their mistake and didn't have it filled. They then told me the pain was neurological!! What?!? They said there was nothing they could do. I then went to a different dentist who actually specializes in root canal. They did a CBCT scan and said tooth 5 was actually cracked and unlike Lakeview, they had evidence on the scan. Another root canal was performed but this time thankfully the new dentist provided adequate pain relief. Over the next several weeks, tooth 6 (root canal by Lakeview) continued to cause SEVERE pain and it was decided by an oral surgeon that it needed to be PULLED. In effort to not drag this out...I have had infection after infection including CDiff, nearly sepsis, hospitalized twice, and more. All because a root canal was done on the WRONG tooth! I called Lakeview and showed them evidence from the endodontist that performed the root canal on tooth 5 and explained I was told by TWO doctors that Lakeview performed a root canal on the wrong tooth. Lakeview said they would "look into it" but in the end did NOTHING. So aside from the very serious infections, I have paid over 10k out of pocket. If there are any attorneys out there that feel like taking on a slam dunk case with factual evidence, please reach out. Update 10/29 due to lakeviews wrongful diagnosis, I received major surgery on teeth 2-12 maxillary to remove the infected cyst which turned into infected bone that lakeview never handled. Update: 11/2 while I'm at the hospital for the 3rd or 4th time for IV antibiotics for a severe dental infection that may now be impacting my vision. Here's a breakdown of their legal responsibilities and likely illegal acts: Although pulp vitality and percussion testing were performed, the inability to definitively identify the affected tooth should have prompted further imaging, such as cone beam CT or periapical radiographs, or a referral for oral surgical evaluation (the latter which was done AFTER a root canal was performed) rather than proceeding directly with endodontic treatment. Proceeding with irreversible therapy despite inconclusive diagnostic results represents a failure to adhere to accepted diagnostic standards under N.J.A.C. 13:30-8.1(b) and violates the ADA's Principle of Nonmaleficence (§3), which requires practitioners to avoid harm when the diagnosis is uncertain. The post-surgical findings confirm that the lesion was extra-radicular, indicating that the root canal was not clinically indicated and did not address the actual pathology.
