Visit Date: July 24, 2020…read more I was visiting Farmingville for what I thought was one last time of fairy dusting, but I may end up back there again. This was the second hiking trail I found in Farmingivlle. This is a trail that you can hike on but I think it's meant more for mountain biking. I didn't have a whole day to complete the ten miles on the whole trail by hiking, I ended up doing about two miles before I found my way back. This trail was beautiful, but I generally give most trails about 5 stars. I love to get lost in the woods and just forget I'm on Long Island and this trail definitely helped me do that. From a hiking perspective I'd say try to get here as early as possible before mountain bikers start coming to use it. When I was on it I didn't see any mountain bikers.

I met the trail master Carey( hope I didn't butcher his name) during my ride and a few other bikers. He led us up the black diamond trail 1000 ft elevation! Unfortunately I couldn't keep up but I plan to conquer it! Back to the blue trail for me and whew! My bow flex stations bike has nothing on Glacier! No pics cause I was to exhausted to worry about a phone! Lol next time. Carey also does gatherings with bbq's and Rockefeller oysters in the parking lot and night rides there. It's well lit at night. I'll definitely be back there more often. The mountain bike community is just a great community of people who always look out for each other.

The park trails need maintenance as there are overgrown trees, and laid over trees across paths. Some of the trail access have planks of wood for soft ground that is rotting away. Everything will look the same and there's a lot twists and turns. It has happened to me and I'm pretty well versed in hiking and trails. My swissy loves it here. He's not really a runner, so trails and lots of stuff to sniff and check out are his thing. It's pretty busy in the on season and relatively desolate in the off season, but it's nice either way. If you don't mind bundling up, doing some off season walking and hiking might be for you. It's very beautiful and extremely quiet, almost too quiet. I have always felt safe here. As a lady, it can be off putting to be in a large place alone but I always see rangers here and there even if other people aren't around. Many people bring their dogs to run and hike- most are good but as with any public place there are always some bad eggs. I would deff check this one out if you haven't. I often find that we stop and just watch nature. It's a really great way to get out and do something that feels different each time you go. Most of the photos are of my dog but you get an idea of what it looks like!

My boyfriend is an avid bike rider and takes special care of his bike so when his chain broke on a trail you can imagine his grief. We found Suffolk pro online and saw the great reviews so we decided to give them a try. We met Greg who knows everything about bikes. He spent a lot of time explaining the differences in the bikes really knew what he was talking about. The price he gave my bf to repair his bike was fair for everything that was done. Such as replacing the new chain cassette and new tires and a few other things. The repairs were fast and took no time at all, only a few short days. I was also in the market for a new bike at a really good price. Greg showed me all the bikes and recommended the Fuji. He has a broad selection of high quality bikes for everyone. The Fugi bike I bought had everything I needed to ride the advanced trails. FIt also looks great if I may add. Greg's service was top notch. The shop was extremely busy, but he took his time with us to go over all the details of every bike to make sure we were satisfied. He also fitted me to my bike before I left. Pro Cycles and the people that work there are outstanding. I always feel excellence should be acknowledged. You will leave with confidence that you made the right choice.

The staff not only held onto the damaged bike for inspection, but also personally interfaced with the driver's insurance company on my behalf. Thanks to their knowledgeable and professional involvement, I was able to recover enough from the claim to replace my bike. The service at Kreb Cycle is outstanding. The staff is skilled, attentive, and thorough--whether it's setup, repairs, or advice, they know their stuff and take real pride in their work. They also stand behind their products and make sure you leave the shop satisfied. The atmosphere is low-pressure, welcoming, and unpretentious. There's a great selection of bikes, gear, and cycling apparel, and it never feels like anyone is trying to oversell you. I can't recommend Kreb Cycle enough--for both the quality of their service and the integrity with which they operate. Christian Caputo
