They take my insurance (Delta Dental) and parking is in the building and they validate. I've had Marilyn clean my teeth a few times and they're alway squeaky clean after. Last night I had accidentally flossed out an old filling so I had to make an appointment to get it fixed. Dr Chen was my dentist and even though I was running late, they were still able to get me in and complete the filling and I was on my way! It had to be the fastest filling I ever had with the x-rays and filling done within 45 minutes! I got there at 2:20pm and was out before 3pm! The numbing wore off after a few hours and I don't feel any discomfort. I also only paid about $118 for the filling and x-rays after my insurance. Dr Chen was really nice and checked to make sure I was doing okay and again was extremely quick and efficient. Some people don't like the clinical nature of this office but I love it! I recommend all of my friends, coworkers and family to come here!

Dr. Leong made me feel comfortable right away and explained everything very clearly so I could understand my options. I've been to many different dentists here on the island, but I can honestly say he's the best dentist I've seen. A lot of dentists make you feel like they only care about the money, but Dr. Leong truly listened to my concerns and took the time to make sure I felt comfortable throughout the treatment. His assistant, Trisha, was also amazing while assisting him during my procedure. The whole experience felt very reassuring and professional. The office staff are very confused and do not seem to understand or know how to operate electronic technology. And when I tried to reschedule they did everything to not schedule me in, first they tried pushing me 2 months out hoping I'd just say no, but when I accepted to their surprise, they quickly changed doctors to some other doctor I don't even know, then when I asked for Dr Ho, suddenly he became unavailable... it's just too obvious come on now.. On my first visit Dr Ho didn't even greet me or just say Hi. I was a business owner for 12 years and that's definitely not how I treated my clients. I'm not a number, I'm a human being who is reaching out to get help from a doctor who apparently won't even talk to you if you don't have your X rays done.. what is this a military boot camp come on? Saying hello only takes less than a minute and if it's not in your heart to give another human being just 1 minute of your time then I definitely think you shouldn't be working on my teeth. I feel this office prioritizes money & time over wanting to genuinely help people. So much for this referral, congratulations on you being the best dentist in town I'll look elsewhere.

We took the flight anyway and upon landing I randomly called a dentist, who himself recommended Dr. Kashiwada. He took us in immediately though he was otherwise booked. His care, compassion, obvious skill, and amazing follow-up, was unique in all my nearly seven decades. He is a clinician. He is an expert, on licensing boards, and it is a delight to be in his caring company. He allows you to enjoy a dental visit! We had never met him but immediately felt as though he had been our dentist for decades. He called us several times to be sure we could enjoy our time in Hawaii without concern for the tooth that he skillfully repaired and was our Guardian Angel. We never expected so skillful, so kind and caring, and so wise a practitioner, as we were simple transient visitors. So, how do you define a hero? Visit Dr. Kashiwada and see.

So the fact that I'm here to leave a positive review for Waialae Dental Care surprises even me. Prior to an appointment: You'll get a text message or email as a reminder. Honestly, that helps me a bunch because there's been a few times where I would've completely missed an appointment without those reminders. Parking: Although there's limited stalls, even on a busy day, I've never had to circle the block to be able to park for an appointment. That tells me plenty of how efficient the staff are when scheduling clients. Front of the office staff: They're the most welcoming when it comes to customer service. They're also your biggest supporters and advocates for people who take the time to take care of themselves. All of it is done with aloha! If you're in need of a treatment plan, not only do they give you a full breakdown of what's needed along with the estimated cost but they'll also give you finance options to assist should you need it. There's never any pressure. The Dentists and their support staff: All around the staff is just amazing. No one does anything without checking in on you and your concerns. The patient rooms are somewhat small but they've done great with adding TVs and portraits to keep the mind focused on something else. At the end of the appointment: You'll get to sit with the frontline staff and they always check and see how you're feeling and provide you with next steps (as needed) or let you know how far out you should plan for a cleaning. In all, you can't go wrong with choosing Waialae Dental Care. Good parking, staff that feels more like extended family, and care that eases the mind with their attention to not only the details but also to you specifically.

There is no consistent doctor/dentist. The hygienists barely touch your teeth. You never get the…read moresame staff once because its just a corporate company. There is no continuity of care and they will tell you you have a cavity or a crown that needs repair. Instead of providing alternative options like a good dentist (like using dental bonding or sealant for temporary sensitivity) they will just want to rip out your teeth and profit as much. Dentists here are incentivized to do more costly procedures at patient's expense.  I thought it was fine just going here for cleanings d/t convenience but it's not worth it. They will charge for the exam and xrays and when you need to go to a REAL dentist, insurance wont cover. So don't even start here. Go to a private family practice that actually cares about patients. You're not treated as a person here. My dog is treated better at the vet.
