That response suggests this wasn't an unusual occurrence but rather an expected part of the schedule. The recommendation for my child was to return for 3-6 additional wart treatments. Unfortunately, there is no scenario in which I'm going to drive 30 minutes to Paramus, wait an hour or more, and then have a five-minute procedure repeated multiple times. I understand that delays happen in medicine, especially in pediatrics. But if evening appointments are consistently running this far behind, the practice needs to either schedule fewer patients or add more support. Families are balancing work, commutes, dinner, homework, etc. Waiting nearly an hour past an appointment time without communication is not respectful. I agreed to see "Dr. H" who, it turns out is not an MD but a PA. During the visit, he did not take care of my skin issue but chose instead to take 2 biopsies, and told me at the end of the appointment that I could "come back" on my follow up appointment to take care of my initial request. The two biopsies came back negative, thank goodness, and I was charged $300 for each ($650 total) plus the lab fee. This PA should not be substituted for an MD He called himself "Doctor H" as did the staff. Was this a bait and switch? This strikes me as unethical and dishonest. I did not return for a follow up because (a) I wanted to see an MD, (b) he should have taken care of my issue during my initial visit, and (c) I even wonder whether the 2 biopsies were necessary. I am sorry to write a negative review, but it has been bothering me since my visit. The practice should clean up its act. If the provider is not an MD, somewhere, sometime, it should be made clear to the patient.
