Each time I show up for a medical appointment, I dread the 2 to 3 hour wait, freezing to death in a…read moregrimy, crowded waiting room while sick people cough on me and screaming children run wild. Today's experience at the Southwest Eye Institute, however, was the polar opposite of my previous experiences. My wife and I arrived at 10:20 for her 10:30 AM appointment and at 10:25 were taken into an exam room for pupil dilation.....five minutes early !! Very soon thereafter, she received a thorough eye exam from Dr. Cole, who was very thorough, pleasant, and took the time to answer all of our (numerous) questions. Bottom line: If you want the very best in eye care from a bunch of informative, polite, and ultra-competent professionals in an immaculate facility with modern equipment, run efficiently on an accurate schedule (so rare in today's overbooked medical facilities), then Southwest Eye Institute is for you. It's the first medical facility I have encountered in many years that feels like it's run for YOUR benefit, not theirs.

No hope with this doctor, I am just wondering if SOUTHWEST EYE INSTITUTE DOES REMOVE THEM AND HOW. I got a call from the SEI and wonder if I should keep the appointment and just go on with these ugly growths. Why is it doctors can be so rude angry and tell the patient such ugly behavior? I will tell you of my visit to SEI and hope and pray it goes well. I dont trust very many medical things anymore. Is this the place to ger someone to help me?

There are very few people like him and his staff in the medical profession. They are truly sincere and genuine. It's my understanding that his staff follows him to each location. They (he and "his" staff) saw me on Wednesday and performed emergency surgery on Thursday and followed up in different office on Friday with same great staff members. Also its my understanding that they are one of the few if any specialists in the El Paso, Las Cruces area. They are busy and sometimes front desk or intake nurse leave a little to be desired but all things considered this is one first class operation with Dr. Kasuga and his staff.

Poor people with canes that cannot sit and look to be struggling with pain. Of course this means the waits are long. And after the service people ( mostly elderly) can't see but they aren't escorted out they are left to walk out on their own. A responsible and professional office should have an assistant help them out to their car, I see plenty assistants just sitting around talking. I hope no one gets injured but if they do I hope they sue since you're failing at taking care of your patients.
