TLDR: The Tuttle Group utterly astounded us with an effortless, friendly, speedy, and (believe it…read moreor not) FUN refinance as self-employed individuals when no one else wanted to help. We decided to refinance our home to make some improvements and clear out some high-interest debt. We assumed (erroneously) that our credit union, which had held the current mortgage for 15 years plus our bank accounts and car notes, and a flawless history of payments with them, would have no trouble refinancing us, even though we are now self-employed, and making 3x what we made when they initially approved us. ***WRONG!!!*** After literally MONTHS of asking for documents, changing rates, long delays waiting for info from underwriting, and unanswered questions, we finally abandoned them in search of unconventional financing routes. We looked specifically for brokers in the area who specialize in self-employed people, and found a few. Some seemed a bit "green," some sounded less than friendly or just weren't interested in a smaller refi. But Tatiana with the Tuttle Group was super friendly when she reached out, and helped us arrange a video consultation with Andy Tuttle, the wizard of the Tuttle Group. During the 30 minutes that Andy spoke with us, it was like a crash course in financial planning. Everything he said made so much sense, and we learned more about mortgage refinancing than MONTHS of online research and questions we had asked to our credit union. Andy was up-front and told us that our best option might, indeed, be to go with the offer our credit union had finally extended, and that he might not be able to beat it. Still, he took the time to explain how refinancing in this "terrible Fed-rate" era could be financially advantageous to us, and told us to check once more with our credit union to see their final terms and if they were still locked in. I was astounded that he would take that kind of time to talk to a customer he likely wouldn't get any money from. We decided to proceed with the Tuttle Group, even if they couldn't offer us a better rate, simply because it was a PLEASURE dealing with them, they treated us like family, and everything Andy said made such good sense. Throughout the 2-ish weeks that ensued, their awesome mortgage gal Annie checked in with us regularly to make sure all our questions were answered. They seemingly required FAR less documentation than anyone else. But their stated tactic was to present a perfect, iron-clad package to underwriting up-front, so that there would be an instant approval and there wouldn't be a need for further questions or documentation. (Imagine that???) In what seemed like the blink of an eye, we were approved and ushered through closing. We simply could not be more impressed with the Tuttle Group. We've helped numerous friends and family through the mortgage process, and it's always like being put through a medieval torture device. This is the first time getting approved and closing was a PLEASURE. We NEVER had to contact them for questions, because they were always checking in to make sure all ours were answered. They were super friendly, familiar, informal-yet-professional, and we always felt like they had our backs and had everything under control. We actually looked forward to their calls and emails...imagine that??? Even though were were looking for a silly, small refinance and shouldn't have been worth their time, we felt like we had called up a dear family member who gave us the "hook up" our situation clearly didn't warrant. Astounded. Impressed. Thrilled. Grateful. These are some of the things we feel after our experience with the Tuttle Group. And I have absolutely no doubt your experience will leave you feeling the same.

They made this experience less stressful and was very informative. They were so kind always checking on me via email or phone during the whole process. Even after I've purchased my home they have still called to see how the move went and if there was anything they could help me with. Thanks to all the staff at The Tuttle group I really appreciate you all. Many blessings :-)

But with a thought towards a better rate, we also called Times Square Mortgage at the recommendation of our Realtor. The result was illuminating. TSM got the initial package into underwriting before Wells Fargo even called us back! What a joke, eh? But TSM is not just fast; everything went smoothly with explanatory communications and clear expectation setting. It should be noted, as well, that the loan itself was funded nearly 10 days before our (seemingly impossible) deadline. We haven't often come across this sort of competent and excellence, which is especially satisfying with such an important financial transaction. Great rates, excellent follow-through, and highly recommended.

Jeff the owner talks a good game and seems nice but politely blames you for his empty promises ( not calling, having other call who don't know anything, changing of fees, etc.). He went as far as to say he was waiting to see if we had any questions on the day of close and we just got the paperwork and hadn't had anyone review it after it was wrong ( trying to charge is another $1800 in buy down fees ). It had not been in any prior paperwork. To top it off the closing fees and paperwork was totally different than disclosed earlier and no one had reached out to review or let us know there was changes. Again some of it was incorrect and had to be changed the day of close.

I had a really terrible experience working with a loan officer Daniel Corby at this location. I was…read moredoing a cash out refinance on a property I own in Missouri. His wife, referred him who works for a different mortgage company here in Texas however she wasn't licensed in Missouri so she said her husband Daniel could handle the cash out. Well, that turned out to be a complete disaster! The communication from the start was poor. There was a delay on getting started on the loan which caused a ripple effect and throughout the process, I would call email and text for updates and it would take days to receive a response from Daniel and the response would be incomplete.. This loan Was needed to put some cash towards a purchase in Texas and due to the lackadaisical nature of Daniel, he waited too long To get this loan funded, which then caused a ripple effect to not get into my house over Mother's Day weekend. He showed no remorse, Has instead blamed me, and still has had very little communication With me and has not apologized once. They structured the loan incorrectly with my business entities, which was never reviewed with me causing the delay in funding. Daniel needs to learn how to communicate better, review paperwork, and His manager should oversee his work as well. Very disappointed on how this Loan Officer had an impact on a three day delay getting into what was my dream home and should've been the most exciting day of my life to be staying in a hotel due to his actions. This caused me severe undo stress that was not necessary.

This has undoubtedly felt like the most unprofessional and shady business transaction I have EVER been a part of. I did EVERYTHING I was asked, provided all of the documents needed, and in a timely manner. There are time stamps on all of the emails and document uploads to prove it. Angela's communication and my ability to get a hold of her was some of the worst I've ever experienced. I understand things are hectic on all sides with the current FED interest rate hikes, but that does not excuse lack of or ZERO communication. I can't even begin to explain how difficult it was to get a hold of Angela in the previous months following up to my closing. When I used my Lender in California for a previous purchase, I was able to get a hold of him immediately by phone with any questions or I would at least have a call or email back within the hour. With Angela, it would sometimes it would be DAYS without hearing back from her. Regardless, I wasn't informed that there were ANY issues with closing until the day before I was supposed to close. By the time I finally signed, it was two weeks PAST my closing date and now I'm bearing the penalty of $3,000 because of it. Either way I was in a lose-lose situation. I could either walk away all together from this nightmare and Toll Brothers would keep my $50,000+ deposit, or I could continue with the loan and would be forced to pay the $3,000 fee just to receive what I had originally locked in for and agreed upon. Bottom line, Angela is a disgrace to this company and clients that they service. Buying a home is the largest financial purchase someone will ever make and to have such a lack of customer service, respect, and communication throughout that experience is downright unacceptable.
