He even called me personally to ease my fears and assured me he could help me. The office staff worked with me regarding scheduling issues. All seemed well and above my expectations considering my past experiences with dental care. THEN, after assuring me he could handle my needs, Dr. Smith referred me to an expensive oral surgeon to do what Smith had told me HE could handle. This oral surgeon does not take my insurance and Smith's office was not willing to help me find anyone else. I don't have several thousands of dollars to spend on an oral surgeon, so I shall just leave everything as it is until I find a gentle dentist who deals with geriatrics. I do not recommend them. I no longer trust them at their word and trust is very important with a dentist. This is a bait and switch dentist, in my opinion.

It is our wholehearted opinion that Dr. Hebert is one of Modesto's finest for working with young children. His care is displayed with the highest of professional concern for his patients. Went in twice because I was concerned with the swelling and pus that wouldn't go away, I wasn't seen by the doctor either of those times just prescribed medication and they scheduled me a third time because I still had signs of infection 3 weeks out. They wanted me to go 3 more weeks with an infection? They didn't seem to understand or care about the seriousness and discomfort I was experiencing. My appointment was for 4pm and I am assuming I was probably Kelly's last patient. Despite it almost being closing time, Kelly was patient, thorough, and left my teeth feeling squeaky clean. I had some concerns about my permanent bonded retainer being loose and the other dentist told me it was fine. Kelly advocated for me and had Dr. S come check it out. Dr. S. Is the absolute best! She knew IMMEDIATELY that a piece of the glue was loose. She is very kind, remembers you, and genuinely cares about helping her patients. I may be picky but I ONLY ask to see Dr. S. Since I am interested in trying their version of Invisalign, Dr. S took her time explaining to process to me, Kelly walked me over to the other office and Cristina printed out a quote for me. Despite it being close to closing, everyone was so willing to help. Thanks for a great experience today.

I then booked appointments for a full exam, xrays and cleaning to get back on track for regular visits.. this appointment I was scheduled with Dr. Donald Hillock, right off the bat the hygienist made me feel bad and kind of scolded me for the amount of time that had passed since my last cleaning, then Dr. hillock came in to the exam room.. I will start with his sense of humor is not for everyone, he does a poor job of explaining things to where someone who isn't a dental assistant would understand and rushes through everything.. I was told I was going to need an extensive amount of work done along with things like a deep cleaning, root canal and gum surgery for cavities that were under my gums on my front teeth and was told the gum surgery would leave me with nerve damage on the roof of my mouth but "it's okay cause those nerves arnt really important and you don't really need them". He was also so rough while doing the exam. Front desk told me they'd send out a prior authorization to insurance for a quote on a deep cleaning and they'd get back to me in 1-2 weeks to schedule for that and start there..I left that appointment anxiety on high and genuinely scared to return. 3 weeks went by and they never got back to me so I decided to get a second opinion somewhere else.. I called the office to have my records sent to the new place, filled out a record release and everything, 2 weeks pass and I go to my new dental office and find out they never sent them anything. when I have my exam done by the new place they throughly went over my xrays with me and explained everything in a way I'd understand and tell me they don't see anything that would require me to have a root canal or gum surgery, I was shocked and honestly so happy I went with my gut and went somewhere else. 2 stars because Dr. Ashley hillock was great, but i would not recommend coming here.
