I wanted them to clean the Derringer and test fire it (who knew they would charge for that when I brought in my own ammo? That seems wrong). I stopped in every week to check on progress. They said I don't need to stop in, I could just call, but my calls are not returned. After 3 weeks they said that it wouldn't fire, and needed to be bored because it had been dry-fired. I said to do it. I continued to stop in weekly. A couple of weeks later they actually called me and said it needed to have something filled (1st bored, then filled. Hmm. Did they create the problem?). I said go ahead. I eventually stopped going in. A few weeks later, they said they think the problem is the spring, I said replace it. Two more weeks, they called and said the springs are no longer made, but they could fashion one. Again I gave them the go ahead. That was about a month ago. They haven't called, they haven't communicated in any way. They've had the Derringer for about 3-1/2 or 4 months. I have left a voicemail message, but I am not holding my breath on a return phone call. I still give them a 2-star rating because they are always pleasant when I stop in. However, pleasantness only goes so far. It doesn't make up for their lack of communication or the fact they have had my Derringer for such a long time. I cannot recommend them.

I reported this to Yelp (they confirmed warning him) and subsequently filed a police report due to safety concerns. The combination of incomplete repair work, poor follow-through, and threatening behavior makes me strongly recommend against using this business.
