Nashville hot tenders and sandwich
Geraldine V.

The service was great, and the food was really good! Best chicken sandwich and tenders.

Travis H.

Good but I guess I was expecting more... We went here on a Sunday and it wasn't busy so we got our food quickly. The presentation is nice and they have crinkle cut fries!! My favorite!! We both got medium spice for our heat level and to be honest, there was no heat and I love heat!! Next time we will try a hotter sauce. The dry rub is a little off putting, I was expecting more sauce. We will be back, just not going out of our way...

Dave's Hot Chicken was INCREDIBLE! This is the best hot chicken I have ever had in my life. My bf and I went to Dave's Hot Chicken on a week night and the drive thru line was long so we chose to order in. Once inside the restaurant you are greeted by an array of colors and plenty of indoor seating. I was surprised to find that it was not nearly as busy inside and we got are food much faster. We each ordered a chicken sandwich with fries. The fries were krinkle cut which are not my favorite but they were nicely seasoned. You are allowed to pick how spicy you want your hot chicken sandwich, which I appreciated, and the sandwich came with pickles and some fresh coleslaw on it. In addition, it is served with honey packets and Dave's sauce. The sandwiches were delicious and I am craving one again as I am writing this!

Dave's #3 1 Tender & 1 Slider w/ Fries

If you love spiced fried chicken, you gotta go here!! The chicken is always so juicy, crunchy, and super seasoned! It just doesn't compare to other tender spots. I always order the xtra-hot and it really kicks ya! They also have a heat scale if you can't handle spice which is super cool! You def have to order the mac & cheese too! It's so creamy & pairs so well with the meal. You can also add cheese on the sliders! So yummy!! :) The service was great even if they make some mistakes. They are usually super sweet about it. Good space & bonus points for the drive thru!

I love this location because there is a lot more seating. However, parking is more limited. They do have a drive-through and the line can be extremely long. The food was delicious as always. Service was good, nothing superb.

The Menu, simple yet accommodating

Super convenient location in St Paul Highland Park district. Simple menu and above all, delicious tender chicken and crunchy fries. Get ready to get messy (in a good way) and start licking your fingers (yes, it's finger licking good). The option for hotness is an extra special to meet your desire level. Option to take out or dine in. DINE IN of course, you do not want to eat soggy sliders and fries! Will definitely come again.

1 tender and 1 slider with fries.

The chicken tasted great at first. I like the different breading than the usual fried chicken tenders. I think it was the dipping sauce that really brought it down. It was a mayo base and not really tasty. I will try Dave's again but I will bring it home so I can dip it in ranch instead.

Slider and tender meal with added drink

Ordering is counter service and they have buzzers for when the food is ready. This is an interesting new chicken option. The fries were really good. They were crispy and the seasoning is so enjoyable. The chicken had a really coarse dry rub. The slider with the slaw was a really good combo. The the pickles are nice and crisp. The restaurant looked small from the outside but has plenty of seating with 1/2 booths, tables, stools at the window and a small patio. I wish they had easily accessible ketchup and more Dave's sauce. The food took about 10 mins. It would be great for a fast casual meeting. They have gender neutral bathrooms.

It was a nice walk over the Mississippi River. The place is cozy and very clean. We were welcomed with so much warmth it was like having home cooking. We started out with the bread with feta. It was so good with the right amount of seasonings. I wanted to try the dowjic soup so I ordered a cup. I loved it! Yes it's lemony and has a lot of garlic which you could think is a lot of salt but these bright tangy flavors were right up my alley. Not to mention that with all that lemon and garlic it's great for your immune system. After a long flight this hit the spot. For entrees I had the bakla with chicken. So healthy and fresh. The rice had dill. Very tasty. My dad and his girlfriend had the Sheik Babani. They loved it. We enjoyed our meal so much that we went back on a Saturday in order to try the chicken Tawa which is only available Fridays and Saturdays. We had first gone there on Thursday. So glad we got a chance to try that too because the chicken was so tender and flavorful. Wish we were able to go again but they were closed Monday on our last day. You could eat it on an old shoe and it would make the shoe gourmet. My favorite is the kabob feast- one chicken, one beef. A good portion of pan fired zucchini, onions, red peppers, and a side of that divine rice. Don't forget the mint tea. And a little Turkish coffee and baklava or orange phyllo cake for dessert. If you're lucky, the owner, such a Dear, will check in on you, chat a bit, and make you feel you've joined the Shish family. This is where my family takes out of town guests, meet friends for dinner, celebrate birthdays and milestones. It can get very busy at mealtimes, be forewarned. Some times an early dinner, or slightly late dinner is best. It doesn't have the biggest space, but it's very charming, without being prissy. It's full of academics from the neighboring Macalester College, young families, old ladies like me drinking tea.

Stepping inside, we were greeted with an exceptionally warm and gracious welcome that set a lovely tone immediately. The interior decor is pleasantly modest and minimalistic a clean, understated aesthetic that I found thoroughly tasteful, complemented by an authentic, serene atmosphere that is spotlessly pristine throughout. The hospitality was top-tier from start to finish, with prompt, polished service delivered by an extraordinarily attentive staff. To begin our meal, I ordered my absolute staple whenever dining at an Indian establishment a chilled Mango Lassi. It arrived perfectly blended, wonderfully smooth, and delightfully refreshing. For my main course, I selected the classic Chicken Tikka Masala paired with fluffy white rice. When served, the dish was an absolute culinary triumph rich, aromatic, and layered with tender chicken in a exquisitely balanced, velvety sauce that left a lasting impression. Between the immaculate environment, charming understated ambiance, divine cuisine, and stellar service, India House earns full marks from me. We arrived and waited for a few minutes. The server eventually came out from the back and told us to sit anywhere. No greeting, no niceties. We skated over to a booth, as the floors had a layer of grime on them and were very slippery. The decorations were very cool. We definitely got the 50s diner vibe. Our server came over and took our order. She had zero personality. There were no introductions and she kept the conversation to one word sentences. She treated us like she'd rather have us leave then stay an eat. We were friendly throughout the dining experience. We did notice that the server was very pleasant with the other staff and all the male patrons, calling them "hon" and asking them if they need anything else. She did not extend any of these courtesies to our table of two women. It was bizarre and completely ruined our final experience in St. Paul. The food was overly expensive for very so-so diner food. The sausage patties were dried out. The eggs were overcooked. The rest was just fine, but not worth the price of over $40 for two basic meals (during the early bird time period) and two coffees. Lastly, it seemed like the smoke from the flat top was vented, but there was a smell of old cooking oil lingering in the restaurant. The whole experience was not good. It was one of the worst dining experiences we've had, and we do not expect or require a lot. We make no alterations to our food and we're friendly diners and tip well. This was a huge disappointment.
