Have been wanting to try Dave's and we did today. It was not up to the hype. First the order took over 20 mins of waiting to receive. It was extremely inefficient ordering process with a long wait time. On top of this, they even got my order wrong !!! I order a #3 with the sandwich however I did not get that. I received both tenders. Despite I paid for the sandwich. Very disappointed. Overall the chicken was nothing special. Would not be going ever again.

Chicken was 5 stars. Mac and cheese 4 star. Cleanliness was closer to the 3, but the flavor and spiciness of the chicken beats that rating in a fast food chicken place like Dave's. For a fast food restaurant, the quality of food and experience exceeded my expectations. We stumbled into Dave's chicken for a late night meal in the area. Not having had Dave's, we were impressed with the slider combos. Combo prices were affordable and a deal imo. We got the 2 slider combo with fries (hot and medium). Disclaimer, the hot chicken was really hot. The medium and hot spice difference was really large - you will suffer if spiciness is not your thing and you go for the hot... and even more so if you go for spice levels higher than hot. This isn't normal toned down hot... this is really spicy hot on par with how spicy ethnic Asian food can get. Getting a shake (even if you aren't a sweet lover) was a lifesaver for me. Also, honey with the chicken is so so good and also helped calm the spice. Make sure to get those honey packets for a new fried chicken twist. The pickles that came with it were also spectacular and well needed.

I order #4 Dave's sure know what he's doing with the spices. My burger was huge and delicious. The fries was okay Service was great Few seating area, spacious area to eat and sit

Once again, Dave's Hot Chicken continues to be an excellent spot. If you are looking for hot chicken that is pretty close to the real deal out in Nashville. If you are familiar with the Nashville, heat levels, choose one level higher here as they do hold back a little bit. They have excellent macaroni and cheese, french fries, and of course their chicken is super juicy and crispy. Make sure to get extra Dave's sauce packets because it is that good with everything. I also personally like getting honey packets as well to drizzle on the chicken. It adds a really good contrasting, sweet flavor That pair as well with the rest of the meal.

Had Dave's in MA a few years ago and started noticing locations in NYC. Needed something quick and this one is not far from the Metropolitan Museum. The chicken pieces were larger and meaty in the 2 tenders, fries with a piece of bread combo ($12.99); probably why adding a tender is $5.99. This is compared to the regular-sized ones in the 2 slider combo ($14.99). Sliders had sauce, slaw and pickles. I asked how they add the spice and was told it was added onto the chicken, not a sauce I could ask for on the side. I asked for "lite mild" level but couldn't taste any heat at all, maybe 1 more level up for me. I wasn't into the batter/seasoning of the chicken though. Seating for 2-4 people each table. Service is good. Self-refills of drinks; can ask for a cup for water. No restroom there.

First Impressions: N/A, ordered to go for lunch at work. Coworker of mine wanted to try it... I feel like I'm definitely in trouble because I'm sure I'll be ordering from here waaaayy more The Noms: you can tell I enjoyed my meal, because I totally forgot to take a picture of it.. the photos I posted was literally the last two bites of my slider as well as the handful of fries that are left. So embarrassing. The chicken is super moist and juicy and flavorful. I ordered the two sliders and fries thinking that the sliders would be small, WRONG, the sliders are freaking huge. I ended up giving one of the sliders to my coworkers because I was so stuffed. The fries are really good. I especially enjoyed the cheese sauce that came with it. I love the buns they remind me of the King's Hawaiian buns super soft. In Conclusion: 10/10 would order again. The two coworkers that ordered with me refuel agreed that the food was really good and they'll be ordering again in the future.

Glad this restaurant is in this area. Welcome to the Upper East Side. I did take out I got two chicken tenders and it comes with fries, two slices of bread and pickles. And I got the mac and cheese as a side. Both are pretty darn good! I am not really a fried chicken person but these are tasty. I got mine with no spice but would be interested in trying a mild spice. The restaurant itself is clean and has a bunch of tables to eat at. I do recommend not going when school gets let out though or at lunch time as I am sure that time is super busy. I went when kids were out of school for the day and it was kinda crazy. But I highly checking this place out for yourself. The guy who took my order whose name is Jamal was super nice and also took the time to go over food allergy booklet with me as I have some food allergies. So I just wanted to give him a shout out! Cant wait to come back and try the chicken sliders next time.

Must try: Slider w/ Fries! Why: The large fried chicken inside the slider was juicy tender! I also added cheese on the chicken because I love cheese. I appreciated the extra pickles that came on the side. The fries were crispy with a little seasoning and tasted delicious dipping in Dave's Sauce. I also tried the Mac & Cheese, which was cheesy gooey creamy goodness. Happy taste buds and belly! Notes: Brand new spot on UES and I'm happy they opened shop! Clean place with seating inside and cool wall art. The cashier was really nice and helpful. She gave me a great recommendations. I thought prices were good for the size of the meal (slider with huge chicken tender, fries, pickles, and sauce = $10.99). Order came out in less than 5 minutes on a Sunday during lunch time. Even the takeout bag was cool too. Will definitely come back when craving fried chicken sandwich.

I like it! If you like spicy chicken or fiery chicken, partially chicken tenders. I'm talking very thick and meaty tenders. This would be one of your favorite spots to visit. When visiting this restaurant, you get to pick 6 levels of how hot you want your chicken or if you want no spice at all. Keep in mind it's only chicken tenders. They offer different combos but none with a drink, but they do have drinks that you can buy. If you want any additional chicken tenders, they cost $5.99 a piece. I got myself 2 tenders with fries combo and one chicken slider. (That's a really big tender on a burger bun, with pickles, slaw, and Dave's sauce.) I decided to eat my sandwich at the location and take everything else home. The restaurant was very clean. They have plenty of tables available to dine, but I don't think they had a bathroom available. My cashier was nice. She helped me figure out the menu because I didn't realize that all they had were tenders. Overall, I say I enjoyed my food. I do think it's a bit pricey for what you get, but with that being said, you do get what you pay for. Thumbs up from me and again. Happy Yelping!

ordered pickup online to get our food but we came a little late after the time our food was supposed to be ready, but we ended up waiting an extra 5 minutes but overall my food was good, not as spicy as i expected and the dave's sauce went really well with my slider. if you haven't tried dave's hot chicken come and try!

I would compare this to the 7th Street Burger that's popping up all over the city: simple small menu but with spicy fried chicken instead of burgers. There's only 4 choices on the menu between the chicken sandwiches, they call sliders, and chicken tenders. They also offer cauliflower as a vegan alternative which is actually pretty decent. I got the #3 ($15), which gets you one slider, one tender and fries. The medium would provide the most balanced flavor with a little kick. Go any spicer and I think you're comprising the taste for full fledged heat.

It's a great Nashville hot chicken sandwich overall. While the claw is insta-worthy, it's not quite worth the extra $4 (plus you can't really even eat it, so it's all for show). I went here a while back to order lunch for takeout, and it was pretty good. After they opened, they added some specials ranging from $15 to $17, combining chicken with fries or dumplings, and I went with the sweet and spicy boneless chicken with standard fries, as you can also update the fries to the "spicy snow" version for an extra $1. The cashier was friendly. The sweet and spicy chicken is their version of Yangnyeom/양념치킨, and the combo came with a few moderately sized pieces. The breading was crispy, and the chicken inside was pretty tender. There was some sweetness, and it had a mild kick, though it wasn't as spicy as I prefer. The fries inside were OK. They had a good crisp to them and a good crunch, but needed a tad more salt. The fry portion was also much larger, so next time, I would just stick with the chicken. The free kimchi was standard and decent. This was a perfectly decent Korean chicken spot. If it were any closer to a Korean neighborhood, I doubt it would be doing well, but there is a distinct lack of Korean places nearby outside of the primarily takeout spot, which doesn't specialize at all in chicken. It fills a niche, and I would likely at some point stop in again to try their Korean chicken sandwich or their plain chicken to try more of their sauces.

The restaurant has become…read morea favorite among the Gen Z crowd, and after one bite of its signature chili-fried chicken, it's easy to understand why. The chicken is crunchy, intensely flavorful, and carries just the right amount of heat. Each piece is buttermilk-brined, country-fried, and dusted with Sichuan peppercorns, Tianjin chilis, and five-spice, creating a combination that's spicy, numbing, savory, and deeply addictive all at once. But the menu goes beyond the famous fried chicken. Seasonal dishes rotate regularly, alongside standout chicken sandwiches and wings that deserve just as much attention. There's an energy to the food that feels modern without losing sight of technique or tradition. That balance comes directly from chef and founder Eric Huang. Huang grew up working in his family's Chinese restaurant while training as a cellist at Juilliard School before eventually abandoning music. After a detour studying history at Northwestern University, he committed fully to cooking and spent more than a decade training in some of NYC's most prominent kitchens, including Cafe Boulud, Gramercy Tavern, and Eleven Madison Park. As a sous chef at Eleven Madison Park, he was part of the team that helped the restaurant earn the title of "Best Restaurant in the World" in 2017. Like many chefs, Huang's plans changed dramatically in 2020 when the pandemic interrupted his ambitions of opening a Michelin-starred restaurant. Instead, he returned home to help save his family's struggling business. Out of that difficult moment came the dish that would define Pecking House: the now-famous Sichuan chili country fried chicken, reportedly perfected on the very first attempt. Pecking House succeeds because it combines serious culinary pedigree with food that's delicious, craveable, and unpretentious. The fried chicken alone is worth the trip and the long line.
