Empire Auto Group, London Ontario…read more I was shopping for a good used car on the internet and found a 2015 Nissan Rogue listed for $6825 plus tax and lic.,thought it was a descent deal so I inquired. I was told right away the price was wrong. That with financing the actual price was $8650. I told them their ad said $6825. they told me that with financing the price was $8650 plus tax and lic. I asked why the difference. They said the $8650 reflected the financing of the vehicle. I said I do not want to finance the vehicle, I wished to pay CASH. so the price should be $6825 plus tax and lic. They told me that they did not accept cash and if I wanted the car I would have to pay $8650, plus tax and lic. I said no, I wanted to purchase at $6825 plus lic as their ad stated. They stated that if they did that they would be out the interest they would make by financing. I said I did not wish to I incure interest payment and that is why I wanted to pay cash. They said no sale. I asked to speak to her boss and was told he was too busy to talk to me and she hung up. I then looked up their phone number and called back. The fellow I talked to told me they did not accept cash for any sale and if I wanted it I would have to finance it for a total of $8650 plus tax and lic plus the car had to be certified before it left the lot for an additional $999. I informed him the ad said it had been certified already. He said there was an addition certification that had to be done. I said, so it will be certified twice. He said that is correct. I said I would have it certified myself and he said the car could not be liscence without certification. I said I will liscence it myself. He said the car could not leave the lot without certification and lic. I said I would buy it as is. He said no.

Feeling Scammed! I apologize in advance for my long winded…read morereview, but this has been quite the experience. I took my car to Redline to have the AC system assessed and possibly fixed depending on the estimated cost approximately 1 month ago. I have now been to this place 6 times total, and still don't have a working AC system. After completing the diagnostics, I understandably had to bring it in for the 2nd time to determine where the leaks were occurring. I was then told it was thankfully NOT the compressor, but there were other leaks that needed to be repaired, which would cost around $300 (no formal estimate was provided, trust me, I have learned my lesson). I was told that once they got in there and further assessed the issue, they could find more leaks or issues, again this was understandable. I thought that $300 was a reasonable amount based on my budget and the value of the car, so I proceeded with the repair, which had to be completed upon a 3rd visit. After bringing it in the 3rd time, I received a call in which I was told the wrong part had been delivered and they needed me to keep it there over the weekend (not an option) or bring it back in the following week. I was told that I would receive a discount due to this inconvenience. I brought it in for a 4thtime, at which time it was "repaired." Not once did I receive a call informing me that the cost would be more than $300, to confirm if I was ok with that. I found out when I picked my car up that it was in fact $200 more than had been estimated, and even with the discount provided, was still just over 100 more than quoted. I didn't think this was an honest thing to do, but paid the bill and left. Approximately 2 weeks later, the AC was not working, so I brought it back for a 5th time. Prior to the diagnostics, I confirmed that I would not be charged, particularly since I had just had the AC fixed. However, I was told this would depend on their assessment and the work that needed to be done. I was told they just had to top up the Freon, which I thought would have been done when they repaired the AC. I was again told the compressor was not the problem. I was not charged for this visit. Approximately 1-2 weeks after that, the AC stopped working again and I brought it back for a 6thtime. After multiple assessments and AC repair, I'm now told that the compressor IS the problem, and was given information regarding the cost of repair. Upon trying to explain how frustrated I was with this situation, I was repeatedly cut off and interrupted by the staff assisting me. He proceeded to tell me that they could never have guaranteed it was not the compressor, and that there is no real way to test the compressor. After speaking with friends with auto mechanics knowledge, I have been told this is untrue. Even if it was true, I was not given this information before deciding to proceed with repairs. I would NOT have opted for repair if I knew it was going to cost me over $1000, I would have rather used that money to save for a replacement, especially since I had gone 3 years without AC already. He then used the excuse that they couldn't have guaranteed functioning AC after the repair due to the age of the car (2013), that it had been in an accident a few years ago, and because I hadn't purchased the car from them. There was no acknowledgement that I had paid nearly $500 and still don't have a functioning AC system, nor for the inconvenience I have encountered bringing my car in 6 times. There was also no attempt to come to any sort of a compromise, or to listen to my concerns. I would most definitely NOT recommend this auto service given my wasted time and money, as well as the poor customer service! In hindsight I would have gotten a second opinion, done a bit of research, and ensured I was provided with a written estimate before agreeing to pay for any repairs. Lesson learned!
