Cons people into believing he's the best in town, when in fact has the reputation from fellow car shops as the biggest con artist in the city. Honesty does not exist here, just a fake smile playing customer service to try and get to your wallet. Ask him to show you any new car certs for working on newer cars, any good machinic is taking these regularly, he's the best in town as he claims right, his opinion outweighs any other mechanics in the city is how he sells it, so he can upsell you on products, he should be able to show you all the manufacturing certs he has to work on all the brand new cars, in his name not in a 19-year-olds just out of schools name, because he brands himself at the "dr of cars" you're paying for his advice and his skill level working on your car... even though he doesnt work on your car his high turn over staff does, because as he will point out he's been in business for 30 years... as a mechanic that means nothing, just look how he responds to negative feed back on google reviews, he's gotten away with scaming people for years is all i read. He reads off as an inmature brat that has a spaz on anyone that talks bad about their experience at his business, he even stocks and harasses people that leave bad reviews, this is a professional though right, more like a child... Think about it for one minute, what person do you know, that weighs upwards of 250-350 pounds, not muscle, can stand for 8-10 hours a day working on a car above their heads for 30 years. You decide, is the brand a car Doctor that works on cars every day, has every cert in the book for every car manufacturer continuously schooling him self, and has seen every problem and has every tool needed for every job, or do you have a sales guy sitting at a chair for most of the day selling people on a brand he made up in his head and selling the fact that he's better then the rest of the repair shops so he can then sell you parts you don't need that other repair shops wouldn't sell you, under the stipulation he knows best. The pickup service, the "extra's" that come with his service he charges you for don't think its free, your invoice is about %25 more then other shops, there's a reason honest shops can't offer these "luxury" services. Not because they don't know customer service, but they charge proper rates so they can't afford to offer the extra's, the guy helping himself to your wallet, on the other hand, is all for offering these "extra" services to make you forget about that "tiny" extra charge lol When you don't act the way he wants you to EI ask questions and call him out on his lies, he becomes aggressive, this tactic has obviously worked well for him in the past because he was very upset when I laughed off his aggressive nature... sorry big boy you're upwards to 300 pounds and clearly not healthy weight, only thing im scared of is you having a heart attack and me being blamed for it, should save that aggressive macho nature for the old ladies you take advantage of might do better for you, or turn on the victim card and maybe they'll buy a new set of tires from you lol. If you believe Ricky is an honest go lucky guy, please feel free to keep having your self taken advantage of, it really only takes 5 mins to stop in at 3 maybe 4 other shops in the area and ask what their thoughts on him are, their stories on their own will make you never visit this business. "This repair shop is not for everybody", that is right. It's not for anyone who actually pays attention or knows anything about their car, or cars in general. What does my refering to a commercial event in April have to do with my having been a customer or not? Perhaps you could brush up your logic skills, and while you're at it work on your comprehension ability! When did I say that you were not licensed? No wonder you're in court, you can't even rip people off efficiently! I have been a customer. I did try to deal with you personally and was fed bullsh*it line after bullsh*t line. For every reason that was provided to you (not even asking for redund btw!) there was a story. I'd like to hear from a person that actually got a refund or a rectified situation with a disatisfied customer! I'm sure you have many "testimonials". Sorry if I feel your "testimonials", or your collection of little stories doesn't cut it when there are court cases with admitted evidence being held against you. Last August, I had my vehicle inspected, which showed I needed some brake work done, as well as a fuel line replaced. Along with that work; a burnt out tail light was replaced as well as an oil and filter change. I was delightfully surprised on how little the costs were along with the service all being done to my satisfaction within one day. There is no doubt that I saved dollars on going to Ricky Ratchets. BUT... to further a great experience; I had accumulated "Ricky Bucks" along with a promotional "Ricky Cheque" which lessened my costs even more. What a great way to reward regular clients. I encourage you all, to SAVE THOSE BUCKS and tell your friends. The added 'perks' of having a loaner, having my vehicle washed, and finding a pen & cookie on the front seat of my car; shows that they care and truly appreciate your business and will do their best to keep you as a client. Ricky Ratchets; impeccable service, it cannot be compared. On family day weekend, Saturday night we had called around looking for quotes on how to fix our leaking radiator. We came across Ricky, who takes the time himself to answer the phone on a Saturday when all the other shops were closed. He did not give us a quote as he wanted to see the car first so he could be accurate. On one of London's coldest, snowiest weekend on the year they promptly had a tow truck come and get our car. Tuesday came and he even went as far as sending us pictures of all the car's damages and explained the costs. We thought we would have to wait at least a week, to our surprise it was ready for pick up the next day early morning. He even went as far as helping my family out in a hard time. Horrible service; owner was insistent I make an appointment, then doesn't touch my car for 10 days, and when I go in to pick it up- its not available. He enjoys screwing over anybody if he can get his hands on their vehicle, and like a twat he charges you $45 daily storage without telling you for his own incompetence of keeping appointments and doing what he was asked to do, like an oil change. His son try to stiff my friend for a part as well, and had to physically have the part taken away from him. Doug McMullin's legacy lives on as more people in #London #Ontario get ripped off by this guy Ricky and his temper tantrum son; next he will run for mayor with the scandals going on at his shop. I went in need a safety done for my used vehicle. Although it needed a lot of work, which I knew before hand, I am extremely pleased at the level of customer service that I had during my experience. They called me immediately after the inspection to let me know of all the details. Once I went in, then we discussed in detail and worked out a plan to get it done. Due to limited finances, they even created a plan to get some of the work done so it was drivable for me. Eventually once the repairs were finished, they washed and vacuumed the car and left some mints of me. Oh, I forgot to mention that they made repairs for me on a Saturday afternoon! I had sent in an email looking for an appointment to bring my car in because it was leaking oil. I got a response within a few hours and after a few emails back and forth I was told I could bring my car in the next morning. I dropped my car off, was given a ride to work by a very pleasant man and my car was dropped off when completed to my work, which is on the other side of town to the shop. I received a call about my car right away. Not only was I told a lot of details about my car, given recommendations of what I needed, I was also sent a few text messages with pictures and an update on my car. This was by far the best experience I have had with getting my car serviced and I'm sad that I didn't find them sooner. I will certainly be bringing my car back. read more

My car went into the ditch on the highway and my front wheels are not equally straight. I call Ricky Ratchets and they immediately send out a tow truck to pick up my car at my house. After handling some paperworks they immediately drop me back off at my house. At the same day i received a call from Steve, he explained to me my car's situation and what needs to be done. The next day i called to find out the progress of my car, they told me its already done and someone would drop my car back at my house. I was really impressed by Ricky Ratchets Auto Repair's services. We bought a used car as is. So the dealer didn't provide safety test. But he recommended Ricky's company to us. I called and drove there. They offered me a ride home, and the next day they called me and reported the parts, which would cost like $3,000. We expressed our financial situation to Ricky and surprisingly he felt the sympathy and gave us an affordable price. The owner of this establishment is one of the rudest owners I've ever dealt with. They perform work on your vehicle without authorization and also charge the vehicle owner for parts they break/damage plus the labour to replace these damaged parts!!! I will never return to this business and I hope more people that have been dealt with unfairly by "Ricky" will never go back there either. read more

Great service, friendly staff, they go the extra mile. We took our car to Ricky Ratchets to repair the front door handles which were both broken. They did an excellent job on this repair and were able to point out some other areas that needed immediate attention.
