We purchased our car here and had consistently good experiences with maintenance over time. One day while I was waiting for our vehicle during a service appointment, a mechanic came out and told me a cell in our battery was dead and recommended replacing it. I agreed, and the work was completed shortly after. A few months later, after I had moved away, my car wouldn't start properly after leaving a store with my kids. I had it towed to Red Rock Nissan, where they told me the issue was due to a bad battery. It appeared the battery had not actually been replaced and the mechanic believed the battery was still the original battery to the vehicle. Dave Solon and Red Rock Nissan were in contact, and Dave Solon did cover the cost of a new battery, which I appreciated. However, I still had to pay for the tow and diagnostic. I can't say whether this was an oversight or a mistake, but the experience left me feeling uneasy and more cautious about trusting repairs moving forward. read more

Worst possible experience my friend was sold a car that had engine trouble, as soon as she drove off the lot, took it back for them to check it they cleared the codes and told her it was good. Did not make it home before it was an issues again and Chad the sales manager told her they would make it right until they found out it was a 9K fix after numerous trips back to the dealership. I brought my Nissan Leaf into Dave Solon Nissan, because the battery was loosing power way too fast. The initial testing showed "everything ok". But Nichola listened to me when I told her that that can't be. She took note of the issues I've been having and promised me she would hunt the issue down with the EV tech. She did not under promise! She made sure the car got it's test drives, got a very detailed, deep testing and and kept pushing "we need to find what's wrong!" When the tech finally dropped the battery they found a huge packrats nest, which made my heart drop. Through this whole process Nichola kept me posted.... However, when they opened up the battery, they found swollen cells. These will be replaced under warranty! I'm soooo relived that the issue was found and really excited to have my fun car back. In December 30th went to Dave Solon Nissan in Pueblo Colorado to trade in my 2021 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV, and after a couple of test drives, I was interested in an used 2024 Outlander, the sales man said that they will try but with the negative equity they proceed and do it with a 2025 Outlander with a payment of 686.00. After almost an hour waiting they said that the bank was asking for another vehicle so they will try with a 2024 Pathfinder, with the same payment. I agree after almost 2 more hours and 12 credit inquiries. They said that they could not get it approved. So I decided to move on. On Tuesday I got several more emails and one of them was for one of my credit apps saying that I got a car approved. I call the dealership and said that ai got an approval but they needed 4k because the bank ask for it. I ask what bank no one told me what bank. I try to talk with the sales man telling him that I just had 1k for down payment but he said that they (the dealership needed 4k or a co-signer). But that they will try to see what they can do. On Thursday I went to the dealership after trying to see what, was happening, and trying to find an answer because they were saying that the bank was the one asking for the money. I ask what bank and why because I wanted to talked to the bank and check terms. No manager and anyone could explain the situation or status. Just the guy at Finance and told me that the bank had sent a counter offer, and that they could not get another car because of the negative equity. They submitted another car not the one that I wanted, try to screw me over of 4k and now said that they just they can't do anything to help me when lower my credit score so much that I can't go anywhere else. But with the approval I can go to any other dealership. So I try that went to another dealership with that counter offer and try to talk to that bank but the bank said that, that offer was for Dave Solon and they need to process it. They need to correct it, because they even put my date of birth wrong, my information wrong. I've been trying to went in context with them since yesterday and still nothing. I just want to see if someone can make this right. Even if I don't trade in my car, is crazy that a dealership that a couple of times in the past helped me now wants to screw me over. I just need to let you know how this dealership is making business here in Colorado and how is trying to make people feel and take advantage of hard working people. I hope that at least I hear back from you and get a proper explanation on why this happened. And that you as a corporation will take action in this matter. Thank you for you time. Please spend just a few minutes to read my story, it will avoid you wasting thousands of dollars with this dealer!!! I am new to Colorado state, but my husband has been living in Pueblo for decades. When I firstly moved to Pueblo last summer, I started to bring my car to Nissan for service several times. Because this is the local dealer, and also based on the good reviews here, I chose to trust them, and even changed my transmission, the most expensive part, upon their recommendation... The most recent time I went there for oil change. When I picked up my car, they told my that my transfer box needed to be resealed, and quoted me for over $2,000. Here is what they said literally: you might not have seen oil leaking from your car, but it may be happening soon." My car never leaked oil before the service, but as they expected, the week after I took my car back, I saw oil leaking on the ground. It brought my attention, and I started to think about fixing this problem. 2000 dollars for resealing the transfer box wasn't a cheap price. This time we decided to ask some other places in town. We took my car to another mechanical shop that my husband has gone to for many many years. The guy inspected my car, and took a closer look at the transfer box. By the end of the day, he told us that nothing wrong with the transfer box. It was a screw from another part.... someone loosened the screw, resulting in oil leaking. Apparently some people were looking for more work!!!!! My car never leaked since the screw was tightened. The service people at Nissan Pueblo are dishonest! I lost my trust on them. It also made me think if I really needed a transmission replacement for the first time I visited them. I don't recommend anyone to come to this location for service. Based on my experience, you might end up spending lots of money here. They are greedy, dishonest, and this place is a rabbit hole! Never come back again! read more

However, I was really disappointed today. I had previously purchased the 5 oil changes with 2 free ones. The offer expired today but the young lady that I initially dealt with would not honor it as she said that it expired on the 13th. I was unable to get my vehicle in before today but didn't think I would have any problems. My mistake. Please be careful if you purchase this same plan. Don't let the same thing happen to you. I took my son here because after he replaced his battery in his key fob, the fob wouldn't work. The dealership wanted to charge him around $400 for a new key fob. Car buying is so often not a friendly environment for women customers. Today was a totally different experience. My sales associate Rob was a stand up gentleman... he was super patient and upfront about everything, made sure I tested every button/gadget/knob in the car, and helped me set up my phone with the car audio system. Ken, the finance manager, was awesome. We both enjoy baking and spent more time talking about pie crusts and the perfect pumpkin pie recipe than we did about the car. He added an extra warranty that lowered by car payment by almost $30 a month and made sure I was informed on gap coverage. I went in feeling like this was going to be a wasted afternoon, but left with the car I wanted and had a very pleasant experience in the process. read more

Their sales manager was a total jerk to both of us, and the salesman that worked under him ignored everything my father and I said when negotiating. All the salesman would talk about was lowering his monthly payment. Not sure what that manager's name was (white guy, mid-30's or mid-40's in the Nissan building), but he cost this business a sale. I do not recommend doing business with this dealership. I found an amazing deal on a Subaru Ascent Touring model. I traded in my outback. I wasn't 100% satisfied with the service I got. Nothing major just have had better. My issue was in communication. I was expected to receive the remainder for my trade-in, 3 weeks later nothing. I called my sales guy a left him a message. He never called back. I called the next day and was transferred to financing. I had to leave a message, no call back. I called a third day and insisted the receptionist transfer me to a person. Finally I was able to speak with someone. The check had just been made and was not in the mail yet. I was told it would be held for me to pick up the following morning. Unfortunately I fell Ill and couldn't go. I drove from the Springs to Pueblo to pick up the check Monday afternoon only to be told 25 minutes after waiting that it had been mailed out. He fired an employee because the employee noticed broken eggs on a new car and asked the manager, Chad, if he could pressure wash it off because the car was being picked up the next morning and the detail guys had gone home. King Jeremy, whom was sitting in Chad's office had to insist it was bird shit and it really annoyed him. I saw the picture and bird shit doesn't have egg shells in it. This man orders his employees how to address him if he says Hello, how are you to them. They are to answer "good" and that's it. They are not allowed to respond, "good, how are you?"Jeremy is very pompous and needs to realize that his employees are human beings. He is not a King and his employees are not peasants. I must say, I am bit confused about the overwhelmingly positive (5-Star) Google responses for Dave Solon Nissan in Pueblo, CO. It must be an excellent sales team, as it certainly has nothing to do with the service department or its Mgr, Scott Mathews. (Or maybe, like so many others, they are providing incentives for good reviews?) My Aunt did business with them for 16 years and was always pleased with her purchases. Like most car owners, she is unfamiliar with the intricacies of automotive repair, leaving her at the mercy of a local repair facility. When she visited Arizona, in Dec 2017, she asked if I would perform a routine maintenance (oil,filters,etc) on her vehicle. When doing so, I found a few things wrong, one of which was being Charged for a Service that was NEVER performed. I wrote the following letter to the Service Mgr and General Mgr at Dave Solon Nissan. Dear Mr. Mathews: I am sending this letter regarding one of your long-standing customers, Sharon D****, and the 2015 Nissan Xterra S which she purchased and services through your dealership. In addition to any major services, like the A/C service your facility completed, she also seeks routine maintenance through your Express Oil Service Department, which I am sure handles the other general maintenance services as well. It is probably within this department where the following issues occurred. Sharon was in Scottsdale recently, on vacation, when she contacted me regarding an oil change and detail service. I gladly accepted, taking her vehicle into the shop and conducting what you would refer to as a, "Multi-Point Vehicle Inspection". It was at this time that I discovered the following issues: 1) The air filter box lid was improperly seated, creating an unsealed opening along one side, thus causing the filter element to prematurely degrade in one area. 2) The Fusible Link Block and Positive Terminal Connector were severely corroded, as if they had never been cleaned. The battery was so low on fluid, a portion of the Galvanic Cell Plates were exposed, guaranteeing a premature fate. 3) When I went to inspect the cabin air filter, it simply was not there. Charging a customer and failing to perform the service is an egregious mistake that I am certain you find as disconcerting as I do. I also discovered that one of the hinge tabs on the filter door was broken off, probably due to handler error. Sharon has had other services performed at your facility, of greater technical difficulty requiring mechanical aptitude and experience, and has been more than pleased with the execution of those services. It just seems that things are a bit lax in the Express/General Services Department. There may be several reasons why a consumer would choose to take their vehicle to a dealership over an independent, but every consumer that frequents a dealer expects those services to be executed to factory specifications and nothing less. I am sure, as the service manager, you also share this philosophy of dealer service in the marketplace. I just wanted you to be aware, so you could take a little closer look at the function of that department. I know I would appreciate any feedback that could ensure customer retention, so I sent this along as a friendly "FYI". Sincerely, Michael Goldberg Dave Solon Nissan charged her $80 for a filter that I purchase for $15.19 (5 min install time), and after being made aware of their mistake, never contacted her or I regarding the situation. That clearly tells me they are not interested in customer satisfaction and retention, which should put all consumers on alert and in search of alternate repair facilities. The inattentive behavior and poor customer care from the management staff at Dave Solon Nissan has cost them an exclusive service client, as well as an exclusive multi-unit purchaser. I would strongly urge them to use the $80 of pure profit and invest it in the search for a new Service Manager. As for me and my family, Dave Solon is officially off the list. read more

A car is a major purchase, and it is important to buy a vehicle from people who care about what they are doing, and actually care about the customer experience both pre and post purchase. I am not a shill, employee or relative of anyone working at Solon Nissan, just a customer who had an above and beyond experience I wish to share. The review is somewhat lengthy, but if you are thinking about buying a Nissan, Subaru or a quality used car and spending major money, than it will be worth your time to read through so I can tell you why these guys are the ones you need to start with when looking at buying a car. My girlfriend and I decided to move from Kansas City to California and after 2 days of driving, we entered the Raton pass about 80 miles west of Pueblo. Our Nissan Murano made it up a few of the steep grades, then choked out. We had two very anxious cats in the car, who were not happy about the trip in the first place, and a large U-Haul trailer we were towing with virtually all of our belongings inside. I will spare you the gory details of how we got back to Solon Nissan Subaru in Pueblo and skip to the part that matters. The service manager, after diagnosing the Murano came out and professionally delivered the crushingly bad news that our Murano was basically "internally totaled" after a "cascading series of failures" starting with the transmission and ending with the engine. It would cost us roughly $8k and take about two weeks if we chose to service the car there. The real tragic part of all of this is that we were about 6 payments away from having it paid off. We had to get to CA within 7 days to settle in and get ready to start our new jobs, so we had but one option. Trade the broken car for something on their lot. We picked an Armada because we wanted something that could handle that trailer easily for the remainder of the trip, unlike the Murano which was rated for the trailer but clearly not up to the task. We made the horrific mistake of registering the Armada in Kansas City because we technically had a few days left on our lease, and because we (finance guy included) thought it would be a good option to save some money on taxes. Big fat huge monumental mistake. Jeremy (Hamm) and Jason (Byford) worked with us FOR A YEAR to get this straightened out. They could have just told us, oh well not our problem, but they helped us finally get registered in CA and did all of the work to get it done. Little did we know what a nightmare that decision would create, but they were there for us and dealt with the crazy bureaucratic heavy lifting to get things done even when I was being a jerk to them because I did not understand everything about the situation. So if you are buying a car in Pueblo even if you ARE NOT IN THE MARKET FOR A NISSAN OR SUBARU, go and see these guys first if you want a first class car buying experience. read more

Beware Ladies..I took my 2018 Nissan Armada to Dave Solon twice in the last couple of months for the same problem. Intermittently my push button start would not start my car. The service department was not helpful at all. They told me that unless they could reproduce the problem they could not help me. I took my vehicle twice and both times they could find nothing wrong. They even told me they did not believe me and I should bring them a video to prove my vehicle would not start. I was so discouraged. I decided to venture somewhere else. I called Woodmen Nissan and spoke to a service tech and explained my problem. Right away he explained that it sounded like a common problem with the push button start vehicles and the brake switch needed replaced. I took my vehicle today and they replaced the switch free of charge due to the poor service I got with Dave Solon. They were able to reproduce the car not starting three times. My break switch was found to have a short. Interesting they could find this common problem that Dave Solon could not. Take your vehicle elsewhere for service. read more

Not a good experience and I concur with one of the other reviews about the monthly payments. I was pretty much Shang hied into a test drive. The salesperson told me it was a rear wheeled Rogue. Hmmm why would Nissan put someone in their lot without training them? The person over this salesperson was condescending and judgmental, clearly recognizing me as a woman that didn't know how to get online and research a car?? There was no exchange of information, perhaps they were intimidated by my knowledge or perhaps they recognized that too much misinformation about their cars was embarrassing. In either case, run don't walk when u see Avi and his side kick Juan coming towards you. At least it was a distraction from what was happening in the service center. I knew there was a reason why I should have gone elsewhere. About 10 years ago I was looking for vehicle...It was not noteworthy like this trip, but it was a place where I didn't feel respected or I sensed a lack of trust. Not sure why but I have seen a lot of bad reviews for Dave Solon Nissan on Yelp that have been removed so their rating is even worse than it appears now. I know this because I personally wrote a lengthy review a couple years ago and it has since been removed. Apparently you can pay Yelp to get a bad review removed. Anyway, I'm going to share my experiences with their service department. I had some warranty work done there a few years ago and they did an ok job but tried to charge me $120 or so to diagnose it when I came in telling them what the problem was with a code scanner I had and the warranty department at Nissan told me to take it to Dave Solon Nissan to get it fixed under warranty. Interesting though, "Scott" said it would be $350+ to fix out of pocket plus the diagnosis fee so $470 total and I had to make several phone calls to get it covered warranty for some reason. When I saw the recipe they charged the warranty dept it was only $180 or so which shows how much they overcharge people for service work. While I was in the waiting room I heard the service manager telling one customer their drive belt needed replaced and she told them it had been done by Dave Solon 3 months ago, they checked their computer and said you are right, nevermind. That made me pretty suspicious. In spite of that a few months later I was in a minor accident and needed some body work done so I went to them since they did ok on the warranty work even if it was a bit of a pain. They charged such a high fee that the insurance was refusing to pay but due to state law I told the insurance it had to cover it because the law allowed for me to choose whatever service center I wanted. I was trying to do right by the dealer since they did the warranty work with no cost to me even if it took some effort to straighten out. After straightening out payment with the insurance company for the minor body work I picked up the vehicle and everything looked good except for some strange reason someone at the dealer (the receipt said Elijah worked on my vehicle) unbolted my back seat belt, twisted it around, and bolted it back on. They also only used 2 clips to hold the license plate on meaning it rattled so I had to buy clips and screws to fix these issues myself. When the guy called to see how my service was I told him about the seatbelt thing and how weird it was. The guy apologized and said he would talk to the person who worked on my vehicle but after that I wouldn't take my vehicle back there for anything, just bizarre. read more

I was on a road trip in a new Jeep when the tire pressure light came on. I stopped at their service desk and they immediately put the vehicle on a lift and found a screw in the tire.
