Then the super wings with a side of bbq sauce were nice and crunchy with added tanginess from the sauce. Finally the star of the show were the fully loaded fries and they don't skimp on the toppings. I know nothing about the scene in San Jose, but I'm betting it's the only biker rock and roll bar in the city, maybe even the only rock bar. But don't be intimidated by being a biker bar in a dark, warehouse area by the docks, it is a very friendly, chill place, where everyone seems to know each other and party together. Heavy metal seems to the main genre here, but one band was an 80s 90s pop cover band. I enjoyed 2 meals from the little but good quality kitchen, including the Papa's Loco, good bar food. I also splurged on the steak sandwich, it was good, but I'd probably just stick to a hamburger next time.

His chorizo and sweet plantain risotto was a perfect blend of sweet and salty. The creme-brulee was beautifully plated and tasted just as good as it looked. Glad we did. We love playing pool so we were happy to find this spot. We went on a Wednesday night and it was packed - only one table. But we did arrive at like 1030pm, so after we arrived some tables cleared out. Still a decent number of patrons. Quarter tables ($1 a game). Tables are decent, balls and cues aren't well kept, but it was alright. A couple of times the balls didn't drop, so we had to call the bartender. Patrons are mostly local, some tourists - mostly a younger crowd. No trouble, most kept to themselves. Beers are decently priced - no smoking allowed inside. We had a good time. The only thing I personally didn't like was the music was SO LOUD!! They could have turned it down a notch - it's not a night club!! But I'm kind of an old lady sometimes, lol. Staff spent several minutes "checking on it," and after the match had already begun, we were simply told there was "a problem with the table," with no clear explanation. From what I could see, it appeared our table may have been given away or the event may have been oversold. What made it worse was watching people from the walk-in line continue to be let inside while we stood there with our reservation. We were eventually invited to wait inside, but that meant standing in the doorway, directly in the servers' path, while the match was already underway. What bothered me most was the complete lack of respect, honesty, and basic hospitality. A simple, "We're sorry, we made a mistake. Let's get you inside, find you a seat at the bar, and put a cold beer in your hand while we sort this out," would have changed the entire experience. Instead, we were left standing around like an inconvenience. The frustrating part is that punctuality only seemed to matter when it benefited them. We missed the start of the match because of their reservation issue, and then when the match ended, we were asked to leave immediately before we had even finished our beer. It ruined the whole point of coming: watching the Brazil match in a sports-bar atmosphere for a birthday night. If you take prepaid reservations for a game-day event, honor them. If something goes wrong, own it and fix it. This experience was a huge disappointment.

They had the same funny signs as the pubs in Los Angeles, but played live Puerto Rican music. This place is famous for making good long islands and the drinks are super cheap. It gets sweatingly crowded in here even though the two story pub fits a couple billiard tables, several bars, a live band on stage, a huge dance floor, and another room for more tables. This place is not a tourist spot. If you don't look like a native Puerto Rican, expect to get mean stares from the local gals as I and my group of girlfriends did. Although we minded our own business, my girlfriends experienced some harsh we-don't-want -your-kind-here stares along with lots of not-so-accidental pushes and shoves on the dance floor. With all this, I had wished we stayed in the tourist zone!
