After my pain progressing because of her negligence of care I ended up developing an infection which I went into urgent care to be treated. I'm deducting stars for some shadier billing practices. Examples: reception - I repeat RECEPTION - will have you pee in a cup before seeing your doctor, and without explanation. Apparently it is procedure to test ALL women for pregnancies, which sets the tone of how must they trust your knowledge about your own body, and how they will listen to you. To top it off, you will get billed for it. And in that vein of billing, they will bill you for time waiting to see your doctor, not just time with your doctor. I was moved from the first waiting room, to a second waiting room, where I was left sitting for over 30 minutes. That time was included in my final bill as time with my physician, which is no small fee. So prepare your wallet accordingly!

In a few years my husband and I will be ready to try for children and this is definitely who I want to delivery our baby. She's just got a warm and inviting personality. Love, love, love her. Sidenote: the front desk staff at Piedmont OBGYN can be a little spastic because it's a busy practice and I've felt a little uncomfortable during a couple of phone conversations - as though I was really inconveniencing them by calling. HOWEVER, Dr. Combs' personal secretary Morgan is sweet, efficient and awesome. NO ONE was at the front desk at all when we arrived. she showed up FIFTEEN mins later from the "bathroom" and proceeded to tell us we could not attend our appt due to the fact that she had cancelled it before going to the bathroom which wouldve been well before the time allotment to be late was up. she was very rude to me and another white customer who came in while my partner was waiting to try to speak to someone. another woman who ended up just leaving told us she had been trying to get a form for weeks and was unable to do so due to the lack of communication. my partner was unable to speak to anyone else as she claimed to be the manager and would not consider that we had driven from over an hr away for our appt. im not sure how the midwives and nurses are because after such deplorable treatment we decided not to return at all. very poorly ran. they have also raised costs and are requiring you to take classes that you may not necessarily need esp if youve had multiple natural births before. also they have moved to a smaller/less nice facility next door than previously used which wouldnt have been a problem for me but just so you are aware of before you make an appt (we were not made aware). sucks because we had such a good experience with our last baby and i was looking forward to a similar experience. this woman should not be working in a field with pregnant women and babies when birth centers are so important in places like the south. it drives away people desiring a respected and peaceful smooth process of prental care and natural birth. i hope this review finds its way to management and she is replaced so other women do not have to deal with her.
