Yet, somehow I accepted an upfront charge of $533.37 for a new screen at Paradigm. After several days I called to check on the status of my laptop and was told that the new screen was coming from China and it wasn't in yet. This went on for weeks. Finally, in mid January I was told my computer was ready. Yes, the screen was now intact, but new problems arose... Remember in the old days of computers when they told you not to leave a certain picture on your screen too long or it would get etched in? Apparently, someone in China was into anime. Most of my $2,000+ laptop has a screen with barely distinguishable images all over it. The bottom left looks like a phantom cartoon person with astonished eyes and a mouth open in shock. Plus, every so often the screen separates from the backing at the top revealing the lights within. I am able to press it back together. I contacted them in January. No response. I have considered following through with more action, but I really don't want to deal with this company anymore. I have purchased a new laptop and let children use the old one.

He finally admitted it was still broken, but he claimed there was water damage to the laptop. This was a surprise to me, as he had checked for damage when I dropped it off and gave it the all clear.
