Stopped in at Dask's on a recent SLC trip and I can't say enough good things about it, but here are a few: - For a counter service restaurant it was immaculate and well decorated with 2 flat screen TVs and cute paintings of the Greek Islands - Food was exceptional and authentic. It's fine, but not great. My review is based off one visit when I got the Lamb Gyro and Fries combo with white sauce. I usually go to Greek City Grill which is five minutes away but thought I'd give this place a shot... wish I would've driven the five extra minutes because I kept comparing it to Greek City Grill. The fries here are just blah. The Gyro was fine but had way to much sauce on it and the sauce itself didn't have much flavor. The other downside was price, the combo was $10. Again if I'm comparing to Greek City that's more expensive for it as good food. read more

Love their lamb gyro. They were so kind to me and switched to vinyl gloves due to my laytex allergy. They recently switched their French fries and they are much crispier. My husband has had their chicken skewers with rice as a side. I wished they move to more mixed greens in their salads. Their lamb meat tastes good and is not to crispy. Some colleagues from work recommended DASKS and mentioned that they have great Greek food. After going there for lunch I was greatly disappointed, not only in DASKS, but in my coworker's misfortune of not having better Greek food after all of her travels around the world. I had the chicken gyro and it was terrible. The chicken was bland and tasted as if it were just boiled and placed in a pita. I think it is important to note that, despite being pretty damn hungry, I didn't even finish it. The only reason I gave DASKS 2 stars and not one is because the second star is the place holder for the lamb gyro which I heard is really good. If I ever feel desperate enough to go there again and try it and find it to be just as bad as the chicken, you can count on me to come back and downgrade to a single star :o) read more

Did you know they deliver? We've used these guys multiple times for catering for company meetings. They always arrive on time and are friendly. The staff love their food. I also eat here several times a month and love the chicken souvlaki and rice. If I'm feeling healthy (which honestly isn't that often), I will get a greek salad. It is hard to find parking in the parking lot but once you do you can walk into Dasks and walk straight up to the counter. There was no line today which was nice and their service was very quick. After I ordered they brought my food straight to my table which was very nice. I got a falafel gyro which was good but filled with too much lettuce. I think they also slightly overdressed the falafel with the yogurt sauce which is delicious but I did not feel as though I could taste the falafel. read more

Ugh, I thought I would give this place another shot, it's absolutely horrible!! Had the Lamb kabob's this time, holy crap was that some dry ass meat!! Love the place but can't stand the guy who works at the front on the weekends. We have ordered take out a few times over the past couple months and every time my wife has called he has put her on hold for at least 5 minutes. When I get there to get my food he is always on his phone and has never been friendly. Food is great but customer service comes first and this guy has no clue what the definition is. Went there today and same guy Was there when I walked in on his phone and not friendly what so ever. There are plenty of other Greek places in the valley with warm greeters, good service and great food. We will be going elsewhere. read more

Overall it was a nice little place for lunch. Service was very friendly and cooperative. We had a living social coupon to use and they worked with us to help us use our full $20. It was pretty affordable too, had we paid, it came out to about $17 for two Gyro plates (each w/ two sides). The food was decent. I wanted to like this place, it just didn't do it for me... They use to have the best fries and now they are terrible. I ask for a well done burger only receive a medium cook burger. My salad wasn't fresh probably some of the yellowest lettuce I have ever seen. Nothing was fresh. I honestly won't return. Greek City is better in my opinion. read more

Had a lamb gyro (the obvious choice) with fries and a salad. The gyro is well made and a perfect size. The full plate of food with two sides is a very healthy portion, enough to stuff almost anyone. This place is okay for a gyro, but the fries were very plain and boring. The guys were nice at the front but they seemed overwhelmed with the amount of people that were coming in. I've been coming here for years. The chicken souvlaki with rice and a side salad were my go to until I noticed the chicken salad on the table next to me. The Gyro and the best tasting. I agree with The Salt Lake Tribune rating DASKS as the best tasting Gyro in the State of Utah. DASKS also makes great Greek inspired burgers. The pastrami and heart attack are my favorites. On any burger I recommend adding swiss cheese. read more

Overpriced. Dry meat. Drenched in so much sauce I had to wipe a bunch of it off the sandwich. Would not recommend.

I went back with a group, and once again it was a mistake. This time I tried their special: a spicy bacon burger with fries and a drink. Problem #1: There were 6 of us and they got 4 of the orders wrong. Problem #2: I only wanted water, not a fountain drink. They couldn't figure out how to only charge me for water, so I made it easy on them and just got the drink. Problem #3: the spicy burger wasn't spicy. If I really focused I could barely sense a vinegar taste like what's in Tabasco, but it mostly tasted like a low quality bacon cheeseburger. Next time I am with a group that wants to go there I'll more strongly suggest we try somewhere else. read more

Nothing fancy here, but the place is clean and comfortable, the service prompt and friendly, and the gyros I had were benchmark quality.One knock is the fries. In this day and age, the use of processed, frozen fries is just not a good choice for any place that takes its food seriously. Kind of an off note to otherwise good Greek comfort food. read more
