I'd like to know what happened to Dr. Dash. Without notice or explanation by the staff, the office was taken over by a "group" that assumed that Dr. Dash's patients automatically belonged to them. I didn't know who these people were and decided to go elsewhere. What happened to Dr. Dash? read more

It's a shame that Dr Dash has some not so great reviews on Yelp because it's literally the best doctor I've ever been to. He genuinely cares about his patients which is not something you can say about plenty of doctors. He sometimes sits with me for 20-30 minutes to give me great advice and ask me questions not many doctors would ask. His office staff is usually very nice and accommodating, just be nice to them since they have a hectic job! sometimes the wait there is a little longer than I'd like, but that's only because I know he's giving each patient the time that he gives to me. I can't see myself going to another primary care doctor ever again unless I move. Thank you Dr Dash for caring so much! read more

Wishing I could give negative stars! The office knew I didn't have coverage for a physical when I was 31 years old, active, in good health and yet the doctor insisted I come back for a physical. When I asked the front desk if my insurance would cover it they said 'of course' I came back for the physical only to find my insurance would not be covering it and now I owe for the exam and tests. I have been fighting this for almost two years and refuse to pay for the physical when it was an unnecessary exam and the doctors office was obviously having me go through with it simply to make money. I am livid and will be seeking a lawyer to sue the office as I am now in collections for a bill that is now 7 times the original charges! Do NOT trust this office! read more

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Dash or his PA Michael Hoffman. My wife and I have been coming here for almost 20 years and have always received good, quality care. I am never rushed and all my questions are always answered thoroughly. I have recommended the practice to several of my friends and co-workers. read more

Dr. Dash has been my doctor for the past 5 years and Him and his wife Elise and Toni and staff are always pleasant and caring. If they had more stars to give i would. The front desk women are all SO nasty - every time. The front desk will always make or break an office. In this case they really make everything look much worse. Between their attitudes & their tone of voice when speaking to patients is horrendous. I'm shocked that they keep these women around for years. Bad management clearly. Sad to see. If you are a potential patient, I would steer very clear of this place. Far too many internal medicine offices on Long Island to go somewhere like this. read more

Elyse is the worst thing to ever happen to this office. She is the Doctor's wife and he should honestly keep her out of his professional life. Dr. Dash is great but having to go through his wife to see him drove me to another office. Dr. Dash- if you're reading this and care about your patients at all, get someone more professional and less TERRIBLE to your patients to run your office. OUTRAGED on how I was treated at this office, after being a patient for 3 years!! I am severely anemic, with levels being dangerously low in the past, so Dr. Dash has  been monitoring my blood count every 4-6 weeks. I had been feeling more tired than usual  so I made an appt. on Thursday morning for just a simple blood retake,  I was not seeing any Doctor.  Upon walking into the  office I signed in and sat down as I always do at any Dr's Appt. There were 4 women behind the desk and I was not greeted by one, no one even looked up.  I watched approximately 5 or 6 other people come through the door after me, almost every person was called before me.  After 30 minutes or so, I walked up to the desk and kindly and said, "Excuse me, if it's going to be much longer I will have to come back another time."  The receptionist asked me my name and confirmed my DOB... she said, "Oh Im so sorry, you were never checked in."  She did say that I had an outstanding balance from last month and asked if I could take care of it now. I explained to her that I did not have a form of payment on me at that time and  I would call or mail it in when I received the bill.  The nurse happened to be standing there and said," I can take her right now."   I walked back with the nurse and  followed her into an exam room,  sat on the table and rolled up my sleeve. As the  nurse was preparing to take my blood... I  here a yell from outside the exam room, "WHY DID YOU LET HER IN!!!"  The door flies open and the office manager Elyse (which I just found out today is the Dr's Wife) says to me Exasperated...  "YOU CANNOT BE SEEN UNLESS YOU PAY YOUR BALANCE!"  I was absolutely SHOCKED!  I explained to her that  I did not have a form of payment on me. She said again, WELL THEN YOU CANNOT BE SEEN!! Now, this is hardly an outstanding bill if it was from last month and mind you I have  NEVER received not one single bill. This irrational  woman not only humiliated me for absolutely NO reason and wasted an hour of my time, but she also in my opinion, had put my life in jeopardy by barging in the exam room while a nurse had a needle to my arm. The outcome could have been very different, thank God that was not the case. Completely unprofessional, and what shame because I happened to like the Doctor. Needless to say, I will be finding a new Family Doctor, perhaps one that puts their patients health first!!! read more

Rude and incompetent office staff. Can't do their job and when you give them a bad review after years of dealing with them because you like the doctors, they call you and say your wrong and ask you to delete your review. Maybe if you guys were friendly, did your job correctly and on time, didn't talk badly about patients in front of other patients, YOU WOULD GET BETTER REVIEW! read more

I've been a long time patient of Dr.Dash. Almost 20 years. Doc is kind compassionate & brilliant. He takes his time with you and really listens. Doc his office manager both have seen me thru my highest and lowest times. He never judges you. He is also straight forward with me and my decision making process. He is amazing. *** I noticed a review actually more like a warning from a disgruntled ex employee.***She actually was the one that never made me feel welcome when I would walk in. I almost felt like I was bothering her by being in front of her. An office manager has the roll of overseeing the entire staff. The officer manager is the boss. In life we all have to answer to someone. I don't like when someone is quick to slam a person because they are upset that they don't have a job anymore. The office manager has every right to approve your work. Watch how you are doing. We all have a boss. They are the rule makers. If people can't conform to the policies just quit. Doctor Neil Dash has a great caring staff which most being with him almost 20 years. To me~that says something positive. 99% of his staff STAY with HIM. The office manager and the rest of the staff are fabulous. Caring funny detail oriented. Someone needs to be in charge and run the office. That office manager is the one of the best I've seen. The staff at this office are out of their minds. More than five years ago they miscoded a visit for my husband, which caused the claim to be denied by our insurance. They billed us $120 for the visit. I spent hours on the phone with our insurance company and worked out the issue. I provided the office manager with my findings and the correct code to rebill. She flat out refused to resubmit the claim. For the next five years they mailed us a monthly bill, to which I always mailed back the exact same letter explaining why I would not be paying. At this point we are now way beyond timely filing. We recently received a bill from a collection agency for more than $500! read more

The worst practice I and my family had ever gone to. I left their office five years ago because they were very unprofessional, especially the receptionist and they couldn't help me with my medical problems due to overlooking my health. Also both my parents have ended up hospitalized (separate cases) because the staff was not able to properly diagnose their situation. My dad almost died from a pulmonary embolism which Dr. Dash said was a muscle spasm and that night my dad went to ER almost died of a blood clot in his lung. Now my mom is in a deadly situation thanks to them with their waste of time...no one checked my mom properly after she was suffering for 2 years from seizures they said it was mental...she is now dying from cancer that was causing her seizures! I told my dad he is to never go back to Neil Dash!!! If you want a death sentence please continue to attend this practice! read more

one big hint....DO NOT work here....big mistake..OFFICE MANAGER HORRENDOUS...trust me. Save yourself anxiety.anger headaches and having to look for a job all over again...AND ONE STAR...all she does is "MANAGE"....yet one star...really???PS.... disgruntled. R u kidding.???? ...i quit . had a job waiting... ...i ended up walking out during my last week of notice which she asked for and i gave her as a favor..... because she still couldnt speak like a human being. i started a new job the next day..have a job now that is awesome!!!! People r treated with respect and dont have to put up with major mood swings....this.office manager btw... a close .relative.. is a complete out of control nasty moody ..ahhh person she doesnt oversee..she tortures..belittles...berates....if i ever made anyone uncomfortable..its because there was something wrong with them...patients loved me and my sense of humor but honestly..i couldnt care less about anything that relates to that place....the atmosphere was so tense and miserable u could cut iit with a knife. A very long bad dream. 99% stayed there.????.its been a revolving door of receptionists..pa's and medical assistants.. 4 people have been there long term......Hey. U like her.....go work for her .then write a review......a few employees r there for reasons that r an utter mystery....they hate her....thats a fact.Yes.
