I had such a great experience today. My hair stylist was Maritza and she was so sweet. Our personalities are similar so I felt like the conversation was not forced or awkward. She asked me what my daily hair routine was like and she gave me suggestions about hair styles. At the beginning of my appointment, I told her that I walked over to the salon after dropping off my car for an oil change. When I finished, she told me if my car wasn't done, I could stay and hang out with her. Maritza was so sweet. I would highly recommend her and the salon. I have referred more than a few clients to the salon including my own 70 year old mother. Yesterday after my mothers services she was given a bill that was $115 more than her previous totals. She put part on a card, paid part in cash and left in tears. No one informed her verbally at the time of the appt. The receptionist said an email was sent out to all clients about price increase but I did not receive an email, nor did my mother - or any of the clients I have referred I did reach out directly to the owner via Facebook. Her response was a "thumbs up" emoji.... This level of nonchalance is very disappointing since I really used to recommend this place to everyone. read more

Literally one of the best salons in NJ. So I have thin hair and I wanted great lengths extension. I got them and I ended up not liking them bc I'm in construction and with my helmet it did not work for me, I also have a sensitive scalp. I wanted to take them out and I got no attitude and instead got a lot of tender love and care. They were super understanding. I go to Dasi all the time for color touch ups trims and everything hair related. They also only use Oribe products which if you know you, you know. Run here and make them your salon. It is always so hard to find a new hair salon. After reading the reviews, I decided to give this place a try. What a great decision. The salon is conveniently located with ample parking in the rear. Warmly greeted, I was given a tour of the beautiful space and offered coffee and a treat. Then I was introduced to my stylist, Bella. Bella was wonderful and took the time to listen and understand me. She pointed out that my current style is still good, but that maybe I just needed a slight change. After trimming, shaping and smoothing my hair, she helped me to make a long-term goal to work towards. Even three days out, my hair still looks amazing. Then the OWNER calls me and explains how there was a mis communication with my boyfriend because he was the one that recommended to this salon and told them what to do to my hair. The owner even said so himself there was a mis communication. I live 30 mins from this Salon but decided to try it out. As soon as I walked in, I was really really impressed. Aesthetically it's a beautiful place that has a variety of beverages to offer, a color bar (which is a very nice looking bar where you get your hair colored), and a nice make up area. I was offered to get my coat hung up and was offered beverages. Also, this salon uses Oribe products which are out of this world!! It's the only salon I've seen that uses Oribe. I visited Dasi Salon yesterday for some Kardashian inspired braids and my sister tagged along for a blowout. We were both extremely happy with our services! First of all, the salon looks like something out of NYC - superrrr luxurious feeling. The decor is simple but chic (gold accents, white marble) super modern and is extremely clean. The owners (Jenn & her husband) were both present - and they were so friendly and accommodating. Definitely convinced me to become a repeat customer! You can tell that this is their passion and they love what they do. As for the hair, my stylist Cassandra was an absolute doll. I showed her a picture of what I was interested in braid-wise and she understood my vision right away. She was able to achieve my desired look very quickly and I was so impressed by her braiding ability. I have thick, curly hair with lots of layers, so its really difficult for me to braid my own hair with a smooth look and without pieces sticking out all over the place. As you can see in the photos, she got my braids tight & right! Love them! (Prices vary depending upon stylist, but for a more junior stylist the braids cost $25 if you just do braids -- no washing, etc.) My sisters stylist (forget her name, sorry) was also really experienced and helped her achieve a super voluminous look with big curls (see photos). I loved getting my hair done with Cepi for years at Dasi. Cepi was highly skilled, professional, attentive, relatable, and kind. But for my last session, I was recommended to see Bella since Cepi had "retired" from the salon. I was disappointed with my experience with Bella. I scheduled a base color and she was able to use the same formula that Cepi had made and recorded (of which I was grateful for) but then Bella disrupted or straight up removed my brow and lash treatments from another salon during the wash/cleaning process ($ down the drain and an evening out compromised). Cepi would have been more mindful and careful of my face with or without other treatments. This recent experience was not worth the cost. I'm nervous to try other stylists at the salon if Bella is who they recommended in lieu of Cepi. Sad to say, this previously loyal customer will be looking elsewhere to fulfill her needs. read more

Reading all these good reviews made me take an appointment at Dasi for a Balayage. My hair "expert " was Bella and I explained to her what I wanted and showed her the pic of the color I wanted on my hair . After my hIr were washed , I was terrified to see the HORRIBLE golden yellow color on my hair. She said she need to color my hair one more time and she did. After washing my hair second time it was still not the color I wanted but the stylist and some other staff kept arguing that it's the same color!!my hair looked even worst than before!! I was so disappointed and frustrated but they just didn't care! When I went to pay they asked me to pay a whopping $340. They also added the charge of gloss which I didn't want in the first place. I was almost In tears but all they cared about is the payment. Instead of saying sorry for ruining my hair, the manager falsely accused me of being rude when I was being most polite !! Piece of advice , please hire the people who actually has talent! Shocking how much someone can lie to save their business !! How they have explanation for every mistake they make !! I have been getting good hair cuts at this place for a while. i recommended my mom and wanted to also get color at the same day/time. the receptionist told me she was fully booked. my mom was there 3 hours and she did not have other clients. i called and made a separate appointment for color. then i called back to add cut and was told she was fully booked and unable to do both. i literally called again in 2 minutes and spoke to a different girl (Morgan) who said she was not booked and can book me for both services at once! unbelievable. well i wish i would have never done that. she bleached my black hair blonde and then put color gloss on it and it was still very light. i said we agreed on brown and subtle look, she said she agreed that it came out too light. so she put more color in my hair and now it looks reddish purple. obviously when you put brown on blonde it can look reddish.. i do not want red hair and hate it. i spoke up again and her attitude and look in her eyes said it all. it was clear that i need to leave and not return. she did suggest i can come back and it will be easier to put more darker gloss in my hair if i felt it was too red etc. now i will go buy color gloss myself for less than $10 and try to fix it. there is no way i will ever return read more

Jess H. listened re: my problemed hair & set to work stripping the pink, then coloring all of my hair the same deeper red - making my hair uniform in color!
