2 year old dog died after anaesthetic for a spay caused kidney failure. Spoke to the manager, said he would call me back the next day. 12 days later I called again as no contact. He said it was the first he had heard of it, I pointed out I had spoken to him. He then said that he hadn't done anything as Vet A was away. I said it was vet B who had done the surgery. That set the tone for their care and competence from that point on. Requests were ignored. Emails were sent with no attachments. VCMS are powerless as it is voluntary for vets, they can set parameters. No apology for the woeful service, paid over £1400 for the cost of her hospitalisation post-spay.
CVS head office declined to get involved and said it was a local issue.
