I was advised to come here from an old timer working at Home Depot. Gotta trust them old timers, they know their stuff! I had a broken gate valve feeding my 1979 house the water through a 1" inlet. As you can see, when making the foundation they spilled concrete all over the pipe making it near impossible to sweat a new valve on there. So, I took the top part out that snapped the stem (the gate portion), and searched big box stores, Fergussan, all came up empty as nothing would fit this 1979 valve. And this old timer at HD told me about Darsco. At first the gentleman at the counter of Darsco said, "nope, cant repair those as everything comes from overseas now and is built differently and would never screw in to replace that top part that has the gate". Then he looked closer - it said "Fast" on the side. "Hold on, let me go look in the back". He came back with the EXACT part I needed, it was old (new but dont make them anymore), and he had a few in stock. Took it apart, got the part I needed, and I installed it and was back in business! Bought and paid for Grohe part in May 2024 $105.00. Bad again and was told 30 day guarantee. Also it is a knock off. The owner said to bad. I ordered a OEM from Grohe and it came with seals and valves the were not included. After years of using Darsco I will never buy anything else from them. SAD read more

I'm aggravated at Darsco for selling me a replacement valve which was an approximate rather than a true replacement. The valves I received as a replacement have a large threading that isn't present on the valve I needed to replace. In other words, it wasn't a replacement. I couldn't take it home and screw it in and be finished. I was sold a piece which requires additional labor on my part to remove part of a wall, but with no mention that what I bought was not what I needed. I returned to the store, hoping that there was a mistake and I could just exchange what I had bought for what I needed, but all I got was an unapologetic explanation that they don't make what I have anymore. That information should have been shared from the start and should have preceded my being sold pieces which won't fit without my removing more tile from the bathroom wall. Sure, the guy said he was sorry when I asked, "Are you sorry for this?" And sure, as the nearest plumbing supply store, I'll probably be forced to give them my business in the future, but I've learned my lesson. Buyer beware. I bought a couple of parts and told the guy I'd hurt my shoulder. Couldn't replace so had to hire a plumber. For the price ledge of buying from these guys they charged me 15% restocking or $25 when I returned the parts the next day!!!
