If you're here then you are just like me, wondering if this review is a "bot" or purchased or…read morerepeated under several names. It's none of those and just like you I wanted to fix up my house with an improvement to my kitchen with some random picture I found on IG. I contacted several people; one company from Angie gave me some ridiculous $8k-$10k estimate based on a picture I sent (no measuring or on-site job walk). The other was Falcone who gave me an appointment time and never showed up. It got frustrating but I kept at it and saw all these reviews for Jayrock Tile. Jason from Jayrock Tile showed up early and I showed him my IG photo telling him, "I really want this". He helped me so much with educating me on what I now call "Tile 101". I learned a great deal, and I made a few changes with the new knowledge he helped me with. His crew arrived early and I already knew it was the beginning of what turned out to be the best decision I've made for my home improvement. The Jayrock Tile crew walked in, they set up outside and just began what looked like a focused nonstop task of knocking out my kitchen. I walked by to peak each time, and the two-man crew were just moving! In the few seconds I saw them go from left to right then inside & out. I know nothing of tile work, but I can tell you that they didn't skip a beat and were making progress each time I looked in to see how it was looking. I was rather impressed at their progress and speed. I heard the saw constantly cutting away at the tile and never realized how much was required to make each piece fit. I knew the picture I had showed a much larger backsplash and kept thinking "did I make a mistake", "will it even look the same"... After they finished, I walked in and saw my kitchen. It was beyond what I expected, and I couldn't stop thanking his crew. It's wild that I saw a picture, asked if it could be done and now, I have that same design in my house too! Sadly, I see other reviews here about "horrible customer service" and I wasn't there so I don't know why that encounter ended up that way? What I can tell you about my experience is that Jason is a super cool dude that's down to earth. He helped me with what I wanted and gave me so much information to make what I wanted look amazing. His crew which sadly I never got their names because they were just "Hi" and straight to work!! Those two guys were awesome!!! I am beyond happy with how everything turned out! I've heard of some companies where not everything turns out as great. I can tell you that the quotation was perfect and within my budget. The crew was amazing, they didn't break anything, they were professional (I have toddlers), and they did the most amazing level of work in my home. I hope that you find this review helpful and please know that its real, not paid for (I wish they paid me) or from some AI robot nonsense.

They installed the new flooring throughout our house, including our beautiful dark staircase and the entire second floor, and the results exceeded every expectation. The craftsmanship is outstanding, and every detail was completed with precision and care. From the very beginning, Javier and his team were professional, friendly, respectful, and incredibly accommodating. They listened to our ideas, offered helpful suggestions, and made sure every detail was exactly how we envisioned it. They worked efficiently, finished the project quickly, kept everything clean, and made the entire process stress-free. What impressed us just as much as the quality of their work was the value they provided. We received several estimates before choosing Javier, and his price was about one-third of what other contractors quoted us. Because of that, we spent only about half of the remodeling budget we had set aside, without sacrificing quality. In fact, the workmanship exceeded what we expected. Our new floors and staircase have completely transformed our home. We've already received so many compliments from family and friends, and we couldn't be more grateful. If you're looking for someone who delivers exceptional craftsmanship, honesty, reliability, affordability, and truly cares about the final result, I wholeheartedly recommend Javier Montero and his team. They deserve every one of these five stars. Thank you, Javier and your entire team, for making our home even more beautiful. For context, I've been facing…read moremultiple challenges with my contractor, CaliFirst, whom my mom signed a contract with for a kitchen remodel. One of the issues includes inadequate and subpar vinyl floor installation (e.g., hollowness, planks not touching the actual floor, water damage, etc.). I requested Ben to come to my home and make an assessment/report because I obviously don't have a keen eye for these things and needed his expertise to determine if there were ongoing defects or damages. When his report came back, I was honestly so disappointed with CaliFirst, but immensely grateful to Ben for writing such a thorough and in-depth report. It gave me a much better understanding of what needs to be fixed with valuable insight and supporting detail. Thank you Ben for your thoroughness and patience throughout this enduring, stressful time. My mom and I are very grateful that you took time out of your busy schedule to do us this favor and honestly wish I would've done my research and found you much sooner.

Once we found Culpepper Flooring and spoke with Matt about our "Hardwood Floor" project we knew we found the right person and company. This project was in a mountain home 6 hrs away from us and finding the right company to do the job was critical because all communication was via texts, emails or phone calls! Matt took great care in removing all furniture from the work areas and prepping the area with plastic wrap, to limit the dust, etc. The final results showed great pride in their work and the outstanding reputation that this company has had for a very long time. Thank you, Matt and team, for doing such a gorgeous job! We appreciated your excellent advice, hard work, professionalism and communication - it was a pleasure working with you! The Bear Family :)

This could have easily been a 5-star review but unfortunately that is not the case…read more.. I hired Matt to install around 1500 SQFT of LVP, which took about 4 days. On the last day I was pleasantly pleased with the final progress. However, here is the issue: In the office, storage closet, and bedroom there was ripped up carpet (which was done during the initial prep) because it transitioned to the LVP. He informed me that he would have someone come "tuck the carpet", because that was something that he doesn't do. He also asked if I can pay him, and I obliged simply because the flooring was completed for the most part. I also assumed he took great pride in his work and wouldn't leave the existing carpet out of place (I was wrong). Prior to leaving he informed me that someone would be coming to my house the next day to tuck the carpet. He went as far as to calling me 10 minutes after he left to schedule a time of 12:30pm. Unfortunately, no one showed and when I contacted him to get an ETA, he never responded. This was well over a month ago and he still hasn't gotten back to me. So now I'm left with paying someone else to complete a task that Matt was supposed to do. This is highly unacceptable and unprofessional. What if the shoe was on the other foot and I didn't pay him what he was owed? It would be a huge issue. Some of these contractors want you to respect their business but won't give you the same respect in return.
