A truly scary and fun haunt. Nightmarish but also so well done! The work of true artists. Adults, teens, and brave kids are welcome!

It's a free event, so a long line is understandable -- just something to plan for. The overall vibe inside was fun and worth checking out if you've got the patience. My only suggestion would be for them to open more than just four days in October. That would help spread out the crowds and make it easier for more people to enjoy the experience without such a long wait.

The theme this year is "Evil in the London Fog," and right when you enter, you feel like you've stepped into a foggy, cobblestoned, Victorian London of the past. This was my first haunted house I've ever done, and I don't like being scared. It is the perfect intro to haunted houses for someone like myself who is a scaredy cat - it was light on gore and very brief which made it manageable to walk through. There was a bit of a line, but it moved quite fast. The haunted house is built on their front yard (amazing), so you will get through it quite quickly. It is free, which is incredible for the amount of work that goes into it. However! There is a box where you can leave donations, and all proceeds go to Volunteers of the Burbank Animal Shelter. Everyone who was working the haunt was so friendly, with fantastic themed costumes to boot. Absolutely wonderful vibes all around! They deserve no tricks and ALL the treats!

Not content with just doing a walkthrough with monsters jumping out, this is an ambitious haunt - one that strives to tell a story and go for more than just jump scares. This year's maze required you to go through one at a time, which built up some nerves beforehand. The walkthrough was designed to let the participant fully experience each scene, with lights to guide you to the next room. While there were some jumps, a lot of it was about bearing witness to important parts of the Donnie Darko movie, and I appreciated the uniqueness here. There were a couple of times when it was confusing to try to figure out where to go next, or I would be led into the next room before the person before me was done, which broke the illusion of aloneness a bit. Still, this ambitious haunt was super impressive, not just for a teenager and not just for a home haunt, but in general. The people behind this really made something impressive happen and have the vision to create haunts that really stand apart - with each passing year, I'm sure the execution will grow tighter and tighter.

The line moved quickly even though they had security checking bodies and bags for things not permitted. FYI, water bottles are not allowed. There were three mazes. Two of them were decent, but I found the Elvira one to be boring. I also paid additional money to shoot at zombies. The one minute they give you to shoot is not worth the amount of money you pay . We also had funnel cake which was way over cooked.

They have several maze style haunted houses that you can walk through. These are not too scary but decently done. Over the years I've been to some pretty incredible haunted houses and this feels right in the middle. They also have some random scarers wandering around in the open air. There are food vendors in a large courtyard area, mostly carnival style food. Some decent stuff but nothing too special. There is a main stage where they have some music playing which is kind of cool. The Hayride itself is very fun. They drive you around the park through different scenes with themes each with different things that pop out and occasionally walk along and follow you. One of the best parts of the haunted hayride is that in the several years we've gone we've never waited in huge lines. They have Disneyland style switchback lines set up all over the place, but we have only ever waited about 15 minutes for any attraction. For us, it's close by, moderately priced, moderately scary and all around a good value for the money.
