I love antiques, collectibles, and unique items and have collected them for years. I also love…read moreMidtown Mercantile Merchants .. for a lot of reasons: The two floors (an elevator, too) are filled with a vast array of merchandise, beautifully displayed, the store is immaculate, the staff is nothing short of wonderful, friendly, knowledgeable and just nice. The pricing varies, of course, within each vendor's booth, some more or less than others because each vendor has his/her own interesting collection displayed. I have spent time talking with the vendors and now know some by name. They are happy to meet us too. Forgot to mention .. woman owned. Going on too long here.. it's first on my list of places to go, it's cool inside, there is good parking, and if you have forgotten to do your grocery shopping, Whole Foods is near by. Midtown Mercantile Merchants is No. 1 on my list.

It was soo much fun walking around and seeing all the thrift and vintage items they had. I would come here all the time if I lived close to really spend time looking around at all they have to offer because this place is huge. They even have a downstairs with more items! I didn't even notice the downstairs, but my guy did. I'm soo glad I checked it out because I found a beautiful vintage metal art piece that was perfect in my guest room! I have been looking for a main art piece to hang up for months and couldn't believe my luck!

Grateful to Yelp for inviting us Yelpers to come for the Momentos series at TMA, a celebration of…read moreArizona's Biennial Artists. What a stunning collection of local artists and their art. In addition to the beautiful artwork we could peruse, there was snacks and mangonadas, a DJ, and drinks. One of the museum staff also walked us through an activity to discuss and share our reactions to the art. I loved that she made it feel approachable, even for folks like me who are not art experts. My husband is a big art lover and ended up buying a membership before we left. Can't wait to come back to explore the rest of the collection! Highly recommend stopping by for the Momentos series this summer.

I loved the art so I give two stars instead of one, but my rating is only so low because of the…read morestaff member who made my group feel unwelcome. It's important to note that our group was visibly made up of women of color, and we are all mostly hispanic and indigenous. For the first hour, we encountered staff members and security who just seemed like they were doing their jobs normally. No staring, no following, just observing and moving within their sections. But as we moved into the last section before the gift shop, we encountered a staff member who left a bad taste in our mouths. He was on his phone and ignoring the other (white) people in his section, but as soon as we walked in he stared really intensely at us and immediately stood up. He spent the next 45 minutes following us from room to room, making intense eye contact with us and keeping his arms crossed. If one of us moved out of his line of sight (I moved behind a pillar briefly) he moved quickly to see what we were doing. I understand he was keeping museum property safe, but we were following proper museum etiquette and nothing we were doing warranted that reaction. We kept our voices lowered, moved slowly, didn't get too close to items, etc. People of color are used to being treated with suspicion in many spaces, so I can assure you we know what it looks like when someone is keeping an eye on us. I thought it was in poor taste, though, to treat us, Mexican and indigenous women, like that, especially when we were in an art gallery viewing art by Latin American and indigenous artists. It gives the wrong impression and made us feel unwelcome when we were there to view and celebrate our own art and culture. I'm not writing this out of spite, but hopefully the museum can make sure their staff members do not continue to treat people of color differently than all people should be treated...especially when they display our art.

We showed her the concept nails and we succeeded my expectations. I absolutely love my nails and my nail beds do not throb. Also she cleaned all the gunk under my nails and the skin was not glued to nails. Best nails set I have ever had. A lil long for me but ya know I am just trying to live the girly life so I am rolling with it.

My nails were beautiful, and the technician was meticulous and professional. That experience is the reason I drove the extra distance to return. Unfortunately, today's visit was completely different. The technician used what appeared to be a dull cuticle cutter that dug into my cuticles and nail beds, leaving the skin around my nails jagged and irritated. The manicure itself looks rushed, uneven, and unprofessional. Honestly, I am embarrassed to show my hands. When I showed my fiancé my nails, he immediately told me I should go back and have them redone. I certainly do not feel I should have to pay another $55 to fix work that should have been done correctly the first time. I rarely leave negative reviews, but the difference between my first visit and today's visit was shocking. Given the condition of my nails, I believe the salon should offer to redo them at no charge and make this right. I returned because of the excellent experience I had before, and I am very disappointed with the outcome this time. Services Acrylic nails, Manicure
