I've come here for a few Release parties. Always very pleasant with free raffles, hors d'oeuvres and drinks! The Gallery has work from Lots of local artists displayed in many Different rooms. Went to a special event showcasing watercolor art. Parking was very easy and close. Greeted at the front door by friendly woman. Filled out raffle ticket to win a lovely print by Diana This event was free and you could get 20% off whatever you purchased. The Gallery has many things to look at and buy Beautiful paintings with matching prints on purses, water bottles, scarves and even luggage. We also had a nice selection of hors d'oeuvres and wine. This is some of the most beautiful art you can buy in Tucson. I love the Southwest theme and colors that Diana uses. There are smaller matted prints that are much cheaper than the big pieces on the walls as well as small gifts like ornaments and boxes of cards. I came here for the first time for a Galentines event and had a great time. Diana was generous enough to give away 3 of her paintings! A must stop if in the area or looking for a bright Southwest painting to jazz up your space. read more

This is such a beautiful little gallery. I've admired Diana Maderas' work for a long time but always figured it would probably cost a fortune to own. Every time I fly into Tucson and see her paintings hanging in the airport, I tell myself I'm going to check her out and this visit was the time when I actually followed through on my promise. She's obviously a very prolific painter, based on the wide range of subjects. I love her desert landscapes and I'm a bit partial to her gate series, as my brother designed one of the gates depicted. (Kirk's gate) She wasn't in the gallery on the day we visited but lots of locals tell me that they've been there when she's onsite and found her very pleasant. She's always willing to hand sign her works. The person who was manning the fort for her was very nice and very helpful, guiding us to a painting my brother remembered but couldn't quite locate. I bought two of her works. I love it that she prices her pieces so that the average Tucson resident or visitor can acquire something to take home. In addition to the wall hangings, I also purchased a book, and and ornament and Christmas cards, both depicting Kirk's gate. Even if you decide not to make any purchases, the gallery is still a nice place to browse and get a sense for how this artist handles the sights and of beautiful southern Arizona. In addition to the many Maderas pieces you can also find works by other artists, as well as jewelry. Diana's work is amazing!! She so magically and artistically represents the sites, landscapes, sunsets, terrain, plants and animals of Arizona. Her artwork is bold, bright, colorful and each a statement piece. Her gallery has an experience in itself and worth a visit to fully appreciate the southwest! My collection so far includes six of her pieces: two large canvases for my living room, other smaller, matted prints in addition to her calendar, Christmas ornaments and book about Tucson. The first time I visited the gallery, I was with two of my girlfriends on a weekend away from MN's polar vortex. We spent close to two hours roaming from room to room, immersed in joy and appreciation for the beautiful artwork and collectibles. We purchased cards, jewelry and other items. The staff was wonderful, engaging in conversation with us. When I returned to Tucson a few months later also to get out of the cold of Minnesota I brought my husband. I visited Madaras Gallery in Sept on a ladies weekend and there were so many items in the shop I loved. I returned home to Oregon and just couldn't get one of the items out of my mind. I called and ordered by phone. It was sent promptly with very good packing and is now proudly on my wall. It is one of the gourd pieces of art with the feathers. It feels protective to our home. I was so impressed by the quality of service I received here. I was tasked with finding appropriate gifts for retiring colleagues. These gifts were to be presented to all 4 celebrants at one event, so it had to be the same thing for all of them. Although the gallery did not have 4 of any of the images I liked in the formats I wanted, Laurie brainstormed with me ways to make the situation work. Oh, and did I mention that the items I wanted were needed in 7 days? Although I wouldn't have the items for the event, we got some tiles with the image for presentation at the party, ordered canvases that would arrive later, but would be personalized and signed by the artist. While we have never visited the actual gallery, we first discovered Diana's work on MSNBC. It was a background painting behind Frank Figliuzzi, I assume in his home. My husband and I fell in love with that painting. I began to research after I saw her signature on the painting on TV. We spent several days just perusing her art on line. We purchased one of her beautiful paintings for our bedroom and we hope to add to our collection. She was so thoughtful to add in a journal with her artwork on the cover. I truly love it! With my guest who used to live in Tucson now living in San Diego she had a yearning to revisit Madaras Gallery. We both had been to the old Gallery on Skyline and now has moved to new and very large single building just for the gallery. We spent so much time because between unusual jewelry and different forms of art not just limited to canvass. We were so impressed.
