I walked in, and was greeted by Josh. He was with a customer, but made time for some face to face after a short wait. I knew the basic idea of what I wanted, and had two ideas for location. Josh listened to what I had in mind, and threw in some suggestions to fill in the blanks I had in my plan. He was always certain to be sure I was getting what I wanted, but the collaborative process had us both excited to see this tattoo turned into a finished product. After the first brainstorming, Josh & I kept in contact tossing ideas around until I was able to come into the shop. The first visit was the outline. Josh warned me the side of the hip would be painful, but he never got to the point of trying to talk me out of the idea. (And he was right! Ouch! But I'm still happy with the placement and glad I chose against the front of the hip, which he said would've hurt worse.) I came back a week later for the fill & details, and wow! Most people with my design pick Celtic knotwork as a fill, but I'm super pumped we went with the runed stones instead! Not only it is bad-ass, it resulted in a unique tattoo design!) I'm going back tomorrow for my touch-up, now that it's healed up, and can't wait to show off my latest art purchase!

I walked out with a very short version of Dilbert's pointy haired boss. Just love Rachel - she's delightful but am completely perplexed as I have no idea how or why this happened. Some areas are less than 1/4 inch long, leaving bald looking patches. My bad - didn't pay enough attention while it was going on, but I trusted the, "Sure, I get it." I'm devastated. (Okay, nobody died but I'm VERY unhappy.) She said it would grow out. Well, yes it will, but when you're 30 a few months having something growing out to where you want to be seen in public is different from when you're my age as this now represents a huge percentage of the rest of my life. :(

I was nervous and twitching the entire time and Will was calm and patient with me! Dave drew all three of our tattoos and did a fantastic job! We've since moved to Germany, but I keep telling my husband that if I am to ever get another tattoo, I will definitely go back to Inksville to get it! They're extremely clean, no ink is reused, friendly and have amazing prices! I was a little worried about getting a tattoo in a state that doesn't regulate tattoo laws, but Inksville makes sure that nothing is reused (needles are one-time only) and everything is sterilized! His work was impeccable and he has a nice touch. I was comfortable as he worked on my tattoo. The dragonfly he created was far more artistic than the example we provided him. We did ask him to give it a feminine flair, which he did and then some! My family members and I are delighted with his work. Additionally, we were impressed with how clean the shop is and well kept at that. It was comfortable and the music kept my mind off of being tattooed. The location is convenient in the heart of downtown.

He took the time to listen to our ideas, helped refine the designs, and made sure we were comfortable every step of the way. His attention to detail and artistic talent really show in the final work. One thing I really appreciated is how skilled he is at working with dark skin tones. It's great to find an artist who truly understands how to make designs stand out and look amazing on darker skin. That level of knowledge and care makes a huge difference. Both of our tattoos came out even better than we imagined. If you're looking for an artist who genuinely cares about his clients and takes pride in his craft, I highly recommend Grimm at Enchanted Dragon Tattoo.
